Clashes broke out between police and protesters on Sunday as hundreds of thousands of women marched in Chile, Turkey and Pakistan to demand an end to violence against women.

From the streets of Manila to the plazas of the Chilean capital, Santiago, people around the world marked International Women’s Day on Sunday with calls to end exploitation and increase equality.

But tensions marred some celebrations, with police reportedly using tear gas to break up a demonstration by thousands of women in Turkey and security forces arresting demonstrators at a rally in Kyrgyzstan.

Hundreds of thousands of women across Latin America’s biggest cities flocked to the streets for International Women’s Day on Sunday, spurred by a growing outcry over inequality, femicide and strict abortion controls.

As Women’s Day events unfold worldwide, with women donning purple to symbolize feminism, the Latin American marches are set against a backdrop of broader social unrest in the region.

Police said 150,000 protesters gathered in Chile’s capital of Santiago, with another 40,000 marching elsewhere in the country. Many carried signs calling for access to abortion and an end to violence against women. Organizers said the number of protesters was much higher.

International Women’s Day is known to be mainly about two things:

Because women love violence, especially when they’re naked and somehow involved in it.

Things are rough in other parts of the world too.

At this point, after seeing all of these pictures, it’s hard to not agree that every female should be set straight through weaponized rape.

The ones that are too ugly to be raped by men can be raped by robots specifically designed to administer corrective rape.

There are feminists in Russia now.

A group of men armed with bouquets of tulips entered the Simona café in St. Petersburg – an establishment that prides itself on being male-free for most of the day and serves as headquarters for local feminists a day before the public holiday on March 8.

Despite the protests of the women in the room, the guys – from a conservative youth group – chanted holiday greetings and quickly left. The man filming the action, however, let his prying eye linger a bit too long for the ladies and got pepper sprayed.

While the internet debated who was wrong, and mused over the footage of the guy suffering the effects of the pepper spray, the feminist group organized a staggering response with some support from a naked man. He braved the freezing temperatures to lie on the steps of an iconic wedding palace, all covered in tulips, and with a ‘torn off’ silicone penis.

The sign next to the man read “Your flowers will grow on the grave of patriarchy.” A masked woman next to him held a poster with text that looked gibberish but referred to a popular quote attributed to a medieval Russian prince: “Who comes to us with a sword, dies at a sword.”

Yeah, see. In the West, feminists are a bit more serious, and know not to just go out there and threaten to start murdering men and chopping their dicks off as part of their public presentation of their agenda.

Also, in America, half the girls wouldn’t have been giggling when they got rushed by the patriarchy.

Basically in Russia, feminism is just a role playing game for girls – you see both sides of it there. The giggling followed by a dick-chopping mass murder ritual threat.

But Russia better watch it.
