Beatriz Fana-Ruiz.

She was unhappy with her life in America.

Presumably, she just wasn’t given enough free stuff.

NBC Philadelphia:

A Delaware woman who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for an arson that left three firefighters dead has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Beatriz Fana-Ruiz, 30, was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in August to one count each of second-degree murder, arson and assault.

Prosecutors say the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement has filed a detainer against Fana-Ruiz, seeking her deportation to her home country of the Dominican Republic when she is released from custody.

Fana-Ruiz had been charged with six counts of first-degree murder, which carries a mandatory life sentence, as well as assault, three counts of arson, and nine counts of reckless endangering.

Her guilty plea came just days after a judge set restrictions on expert testimony regarding whether a confession Fana-Ruiz gave investigators was false or coerced. The judge also noted in his ruling that there was no basis to conclude that authorities violated her Miranda rights.

Lt. Christopher Leach and Senior Firefighter Jerry Fickes of the Wilmington Fire Department died at the scene of the September 2016 row house fire after the first floor of the home collapsed. Senior Firefighter Ardythe Hope was hospitalized in critical condition for several weeks before she died.

Authorities have said Fana-Ruiz was angry about her living situation and unhappy with her life when she set a fire in the basement of the home where she was staying.

Poor chap.

If he’d just canceled on this negroid out of sheer hatred for the color of the skin like a normal Lyft driver, he’d still be alive.

CBS:

Police in Delaware say they’re searching for a man who shot and killed a Lyft driver. New Castle County police identified the suspect as 23-year-old Michael Toombs, of Chester, Pennsylvania.

Police say Toombs is wanted in connection with the Dec. 12 slaying of Roger Williams in Wilmington.

Williams, 42, was a Newark resident who worked for both Uber and Lyft. He was dispatched through Lyft when he was killed.

…

“We offer our condolences to the family as this was a heinous act that took the life of an innocent person,” New Castle County Police Col. Vaughn Bond Jr. said in a statement. “Detectives and officers have worked side by side with members of the community to identify Michael Toombs as the suspect in this investigation. We continue to ask anyone who might know the whereabouts of Michael Toombs to contact us.”

Detectives have issued warrants for Toombs’ arrest. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

James Bradley.

FFS, just put this thing to death already.

WECT:

James Bradley has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Elisha Tucker.

The jury deliberated for less than three hours Tuesday morning before returning a verdict.

The sentencing phase of the case is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. District Attorney Ben David announced his office would seek the death penalty soon after a grand jury returned an indictment for first-degree murder in the case.

“We will be calling additional witnesses on Thursday,” David said. “This jury, after eight weeks in the making, say they can fairly consider life or death for Bradley.”

This marks the third time Bradley has been convicted of murder. He spent nearly 25 years in prison in the 1988 killing of his 8-year-old stepdaughter.

He is serving a 30-year sentence on a second-degree murder conviction in the presumed death of Shannon Rippy Van Newkirk, his coworker and love interest, who has not been seen or heard from since April 5, 2014.

James Opelton Bradley.

Suit? Check. Glasses? Check. Refined name? Check.

The end result?

Still a goddamn nigger.

WECT:

Nearly five years after Elisha Tucker’s body was discovered bound with duct tape and wrapped in trash bags in a shallow grave in a Hampstead field, the twice-convicted killer accused in her death is scheduled to go on trial.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday in the capital murder trial of James Opelton Bradley, 56, of Wilmington. Bradley, who spent nearly 25 years in prison in the 1988 killing of his 8-year-old stepdaughter, is serving a 30-year sentence on a second-degree murder conviction in the presumed death of his coworker and love interest, Shannon Rippy Van Newkirk, who has not been seen or heard from since April 5, 2014.

Tucker was reported missing by her family on Oct. 21, 2013, though it had been months since they had last heard from her. The Wilmington woman had an extensive drug history and convictions for prostitution, according to court documents.

She remained missing until April 29, 2014, when investigators searching for Van Newkirk on a plot of land she and Bradley frequented for their landscaping jobs discovered human remains. The remains were initially believed to be Van Newkirk — prompting authorities to charge Bradley with her murder — but were later identified as Tucker.

Officer Louis Martignetti in the middle was injured when he fell from a train platform while pursuing the suspect.

Two Wilmington police officers were injured Wednesday afternoon when they responded to an emergency call for a knife-wielding man who allegedly attacked two people at the Wilmington Commuter Rail Station.

When officers arrived, they found two people who had locked themselves in their vehicles, and reported that the man approached them with a knife and started yelling at them. When they locked themselves in their cars, the suspect allegedly slashed two tires and ran off.

Police gave pursuit and located the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Seth Mather of Maynard, who ran towards an elevated railroad platform and jumped off. The suspect then attacked the responding officers.

After a 25 minute standoff, officers tried to subdue Mather with pepper spray and less lethal 40mm “sponge rounds” but he continued to make “aggressive gestures,” according to police.

An off-duty Concord Police officer, who is also a member of the SWAT Team, happened to be in the area and used a Taser to help subdue Mather.

As Mather was being arrested, Wilmington Police Officer Paul Chalifour suffered a serious wound while trying to remove the knife from his hands. A second officer, Louis Martigetti, was injured when he fell from a train platform while pursuing the suspect. Both officers were treated at local hospitals.

“Today, our police officers put themselves between civilians and a dangerous, armed suspect. They showed tremendous restraint in defense of human life, despite a suspect who seemed intent on doing harm to them and others,” Wilmington Police Chief Michael Begonis said.

Mather is charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, and destruction of property. He will be arraigned in Woburn District Court Thursday.

Hardaway (L), Galloway (M) and Williams (R) all had previous crimes on their records.

Wilmington Police arrested three men in connection to an attempted armed robbery in the 200 block of Lullwater Drive around 12:48 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the WPD, the victim was attempting to sell a rifle to three potential buyers he had met through Craigslist.

As the victim handed over rifle, one suspect took the gun and pointed it back at him. The victim then pulled out a pistol and told the suspect to drop the gun because it was not loaded.

The victim then made all three suspects lay on the ground as he ran away from the scene and called 911.

Officers responded and were able to apprehend the three suspects: Edvis Miquem Galloway, 24, Savon Khalif Hardaway, 18, and Kalmeaice Kawanna Williams, 38.

Officers charged Galloway, Hardaway and Williams with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy robbery with a dangerous weapon. They were placed in the New Hanover County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

Galloway and Hardaway were among several suspects arrested in August on multiple drug and gun charges after police pulled their vehicle over for not having a tag or working brake lights.

Police searched the car and found a 357 revolver, 25 bags of marijuana each weighing 134 grams, and 2 red bandanas.

Galloway was also involved in a stabbing incident in April of this year. According to eyewitnesses, Galloway was approached by several men and stabbed while walking to Freedom House Mini Market on Chestnut Street.

Police arrested three brothers, Adrian, William, and Antonio Point, in connection to Galloway’s stabbing.

REPEAT OFFENDER

Dating back to 2008, Kalmeaice Williams has faced several charges such as assault on a female, financial card theft, and robbery with a dangerous weapon. However, he keeps getting out of jail.

District Attorney Ben David said that this can happen for many different reasons and it’s not because judges and prosecutors are apathetic.

David said that criminal history and specific sentencing do play a factor in how long a suspect stays behind bars. He said that Williams has finally reached the point where he’s gone too far.

“Sometimes you have to build the right amount of evidence and the right amount of time with a record in order to be in a position to go after maximum justice and that point is here for Kalmeaice Williams,” David explained.

David said Williams could be in jail for a matter of years rather than months following this latest charge.

The Peeping Pedro, Javier Mendiola-Soto of Mexico has been arrested and charged with 21 counts of criminal violation of privacy for allegedly filming girls in campus bathrooms.

An Ex-University of Delaware doctorate student from Mexico was arrested after being accused of hiding cameras in women’s restrooms on campus.

The suspect, identified as Javier Mendiola-Soto, 38, was charged with 21 counts of criminal violation.

Mendiola-Soto’s alleged lechery came to light after a woman found a tiny camera hidden inside a tampon dispenser in early July, reported FOX.

Police say they confiscated 1,500 video files of women using the restroom from Mendiola-Soto.

Authorities found recordings from bathrooms in five different buildings, including the Delaware Biotechnology Institute where he was a former employee.

Javier Mendiola-Soto allegedly installed the hidden cameras in restrooms in five different building on campus.

Students at the University of Delaware learned about the suspect’s X-rated peeping and about the arrest on Friday.

‘It’s pretty disturbing knowing that he did it in more than one bathroom and you have to take the time to actually plan all that stuff out is just really scary,’ UD Senior Joe Borowski said.

‘That’s gross. Why would you even want to see someone using the bathroom? That’s weird,’ said senior Phoebe Connell.

Mendiola-Soto has had his visa revoked and is being held at Howard Young Correctional facility in Wilmington, Delaware without bail.

‘It is extremely disturbing that this crime was perpetrated against our community invading the privacy of so many women on and around this campus,’ said University of Delaware President Patrick Harker.
