As “woke” recedes in America a bit, small and irrelevant countries are attempting to take up the mantle in order to gain some notoriety.

No one ever even heard of “Wales.” I mean, people have heard of whales the animals. Most people saw Free Willy, a fantastic achievement in cinema. But no one knew there was a country called that.

Now they want everyone to know their name, to think of weird George Floyd gibberish instead of Free Willy when they hear the word “Whales.”

The leftist Labour Party government of Wales has vowed to reshape the “beliefs and behaviour of the white majority” of the British country in its quest to eliminate racism by the end of the decade.

In a “refresh” to the Welsh government’s “Anti-Racist Action Plan” released quietly last week, recently-installed First Minister Eluned Morgan reaffirmed her “commitment to building an inclusive and equitable society for all our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people and communities in Wales.”

Eluned, whose position roughly equates to that of governor in the United States, also doubled down on previous locally-devolved Labour governments to “Wales an anti-racist nation by 2030,” declaring that her government’s “resolve is as strong as ever” to complete the woke mission.

Everyone in Europe is so pathetic.

Why the hell do they even care about George Floyd? I don’t understand Americans caring about him either, but Wales is all the way over on the other side of the ocean.

What does George Floyd have to do with their lives?

To accomplish such a feat, Cardiff will seek to transform and mould the inner thoughts of Welsh citizens, particularly the “white majority”, who comprise nearly 94 per cent of the British nation’s population.

 

The plan called for “long-term changes in knowledge, beliefs, experiences, and behaviour as well systemic and cultural changes” and specifically cited the need for changes in the “beliefs and behaviour of the white majority” including at the “individual” level.

This is really extreme social-engineering. When you start talking about using government action to change people’s beliefs, you’ve gone way weird. When you’re doing that in order to conform to aberrant and forced cultural trends in a foreign country, it’s even more egregious.

Even in America, no one said they were going to “change people’s beliefs” because of George Floyd, they just said they would destroy everyone who doesn’t believe like them. This seems reasonable compared to what this old Scottish bag is saying.

The BBC has come under fire for questioning if the term “ethnic minority” should be replaced with “global majority”.

In recent years, various organisations across the UK, including the Government, have dropped the acronym Bame, which stands for black, Asian, and minority ethnic, and in its place are opting to use the new phrase “global majority”.

It’s ominous, no?

It fits will into the “they will bury you” narrative that is constantly pushed to make people believe resistance is futile.

The term was coined in 2003 by Rosemary Campbell-Stephens, a British-Jamaican academic, and refers to people who are “black, Asian, brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the global south, and or have been racialised as ‘ethnic minorities’”.

Campbell-Stephens said in 2020 that the group accounts for more than 80 per cent of the world’s population.

In March 2022, the Government committed to no longer using Bame, instead opting to use specific ethnic classifications wherever possible.

Last year, the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) announced that it had adopted the term “people of the global majority” to refer to all ethnic groups except white British and other white groups.

In an article discussing the growing buzzword, the BBC questioned if the term “ethnic minority” should be dropped entirely in favour of the new phrase.

The suggestion caused a ruckus online, with users suggesting the term creates further division.

One user said: “What an insane question. ‘Global majority’ is a poorly understood and offensive term for Brits to use. It means classifying non-white Brits – not with their fellow citizens – but with the birthplace of their parents and grandparents. Far-left and far-right seek the same division.”

Yeah, but the far-right wants to physically remove these people.

So I don’t think horseshoe theory applies.

Political commentator Tim Scott said: “No single ethnic or racial group has a ‘global majority’. You can only construct a majority by including some groups and excluding others. In this context ‘non-white’ might be a more honest term?”

Sam Bidwell, from the Adam Smith Institute, said: “Activists should be careful what they wish for. Creating a ‘global majority’ identity, defined in opposition to Europeans, will undoubtedly lead Europeans to define their own national identities in opposition to the ‘global majority’.”

Another said: “The supposed benefit is from giving people a confidence boost by telling them they’re in the majority. Surely “majority=good, minority=bad” is an idea we need to get away from?”

However, others defended the use of the term. “It’s not semantics; it’s maths”, an individual said. “White Europeans are only 9 per cent of the global population. If you want to talk about minorities; white people are it.”

“Embracing ‘global majority’ celebrates the strength and diversity of people worldwide!,” said another.

The founder of BE.Xcellence, a Welsh company aimed at lifting the voices of Black, Asian, and minority ethnic people, said: “It speaks to unity, it gives you prominence and I think it helps us feel not less than.

“[The word] ‘minority’ can make you feel that you are less than, you are the least, when in reality we are the more in terms of numbers.”

Does this apply to white people being made a minority in their own countries, something they already were globally?

No?

Why not?

Everything will work out as long as everyone focuses on love.

According to the latest figures from the Swedish National Board of Education (Skolverket), Sweden has in a relatively short period of time become the most multilingual nation in the Western world, with almost a third of all primary school pupils now speaking a language other than Swedish as their first language. This development reflects the extensive immigration of recent decades, which has led to a dramatic demographic shift.

The latest statistics from the Swedish National Agency for Education for the 2023/24 school year show that 29% of all 7-16 year olds are eligible for mother tongue education – up from 24% in the 2014/15 school year.

This means that almost a third of all Swedish primary school students speak a language other than Swedish at home. The most common languages are Arabic, followed by Somali, Kurdish and South Slavic languages such as Bosnian and Serbian.

The change in the language profile of the population is mainly a consequence of the extensive immigration that has taken place in recent decades. Today, between 40% and 45% of children and young people have some form of foreign background, either because they themselves or their parents were born abroad.

Compared to other diverse countries such as the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom, where the proportion of children speaking a language other than the majority language is around 20-25%, Sweden is in a category of its own, with almost 30%.

Swedish multilingualism is also unique because the languages spoken here often have no natural connection to the country, unlike languages in other Western countries that have historical or colonial ties to their minority languages.

This rapid change has put Sweden on the map as the most polyglot country in the Western world, which many believe will affect and ultimately have major consequences for Swedish culture and the future of the language.

Sweden is a light unto the world, showing us the path to multicultural paradise.

A far-right candidate in France’s upcoming elections is facing hate crime prosecution for unveiling an election poster reading: “Let’s give white children a future.” Pierre-Nicolas Nups of the Parti de la France (Party of France) unveiled the ad earlier this week, causing a stir amongst those who immediately labeled it “racist” and “hateful.”

Among those outraged was Pascal Schneider, the mayor of Neuves-Maisons, one of the biggest towns in the 5th constituency of Meurthe-et-Moselle, where Nups is standing for election.

“This poster is nothing more or less than a rag that sullies the city, the canton, the entire department,” Schneider said. He then took his complaint to the local prosecutors and is seeking a charge to be filed against Nups.

Is “Schneider” a French name?

I don’t know, I’m just asking.

Speaking to L’est Républican, Schneider claimed to have received a number of calls from citizens over the poster, which features an artistic rendition of the face of a young boy with blue eyes and blond hair.

“Many fellow citizens called me this morning to express their indignation,” Schneider said. “This poster, which has been found near schools, is stigmatizing and discriminatory. In form, as in substance, it is unacceptable.”

But Nups appears to be undeterred, and replied: “I approved this poster. It is neither sectarian nor exclusive. On the contrary, it delivers a positive message, a message of hope for our youth, and nothing else. And if anyone sees anything else in it, it would be a malicious interpretation.”

Parti de la France was founded in 2009 by French far-right political personality Carl Lang. Lang had formerly been a Member of European Parliament with the National Front (presently known as the National Rally), but broke away from the party after the retirement of Jean-Marie Le Pen.

While Parti de la France does not currently have any elected representatives in the National Assembly or European Parliament, it is possible that they could benefit from the wave of popularity right-wing parties are experiencing in France.

Why are right-wing parties experiencing a wave of popularity in France?

Many don’t know this, but English folk music was created and developed by a Wakandan native oof the British Isles named Cheddar Man. The very first English folk song, which Cheddar wrote on his accordion, was called “Bitch, Lemme Stab Them Guts.”

He later dropped the killer English folk song “Mutafaka, I Will Kill Your Family and Eat Them Like Spicy Raman Noodles.” It contained a lovely fiddle solo.

Woke academics have been granted nearly £1.5 million in taxpayer money to study the “white-centricity” of English folk music and how to “decolonise” the art form.

Researchers at the University of Sheffield are set to embark on an “unflinching look at the white-centricity of folk music repertory, performers and audience by conducting fieldwork to shed light on long-standing vernacular singing practices of ethnic minority cultures in England,” according to a report from The Telegraph.

The stated aim of the project will be to “increase accessibility to the folk club scene and take the first step in a process of decolonisation within the folk music canon”.

The academics have been granted £1,485,400 from the UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) “Future Leaders fellowship’’, which is funded by the British taxpayer.

The move by the UKRI to use taxpayer money to fund woke endeavours was criticised by the TaxPayer’s Alliance, with investigations campaign manager Joanna Marchong saying: “Taxpayers are fed up with research councils marching to the beat of their own drum and ignoring all concerns for value for money.

“Time and time again, these institutions force hard-pressed households to pay millions for academics to rewrite history and achieve minute goals in return.

“The next government needs to clamp down on research councils to ensure that only worthwhile projects are being greenlit and that any funded research will be of value to taxpayers.”

Like in the United States, UK academics have become increasingly preoccupied with social justice ideologies, with British researchers paying particular attention to the supposed evils of the British Empire.

There has also been a strong push to “deconstruct” English heritage and even the very fabric of what it means to be English. For example, last year “anti-racist” academics at Cambridge argued that the ethnic group of the Anglo-Saxons never actually existed, while claiming that they were being used to prop up “nationalist” sentiments among the public.

Commenting on the obsession with attacking “whiteness” in academia, Professor Dennis Hayes, the director of Academics for Academic Freedom, said that there is an “endless supply of stories about disciplines being told by universities to ‘decolonise’ and of money being spent on studies of ‘whiteness’ in any and every conceivable subject.”

Professor of music at Sheffield University Fay Heild defended the £1.5 million project, saying: “The term decolonisation is often misinterpreted. Our research highlights the different under-recognised communities who have helped to establish cultural life in England. Folk music is a constantly evolving genre, which has taken influences from a diverse range of people over centuries.

“It is part of the UK’s cultural heritage and should be celebrated. Our aim is to break down the barriers for people to get involved in folk music. Opening up the genre to different audiences will help to sustain the nation’s folk music for decades to come.”

A physically healthy 28-year-old Dutch woman has decided to legally end her life due to her struggles with crippling depression, autism and borderline personality disorder, according to a report.

Zoraya ter Beek, who lives in a small village in the Netherlands near the German border, is scheduled to be euthanized in May — despite being in love with her 40-year-old boyfriend and living with two cats.

Ter Beek, who once aspired to be a psychiatrist, has been dealing with mental health struggles throughout her life.

She said she decided to be euthanized after her doctors told her, “There’s nothing more we can do for you. It’s never gonna get any better,” according to The Free Press.

“I was always very clear that if it doesn’t get better, I can’t do this anymore,” ter Beek said.

She is just one of the growing number of people in the West who have decided to die rather than continue living in pain that, unlike a terminal illness, could be treated.

More people are deciding to end their lives while suffering from a slew of other mental health problems like depression or anxiety amplified by economic uncertainty, climate change, social media and other issues, The Free Press reported.

There is no way that with 2 million “legal” immigrants a year, and millions of illegals, that it’s only 51 million foreign born. There are at least that many from each category.

The immigrant population has exploded by an unprecedented 6.4 million under President Biden amid the migrant crisis — an increase four times higher than under former President Donald Trump,  a new study reveals.

Overall, a record-shattering 51 million people living in the United States were born in another country, a surge triggered by the millions of migrants crossing the border, the report by the Center for Immigration Studies found.

Were they paid by Biden to give these fake numbers?

“We’ve never seen anything like this before over a three-year period of time. All prior records have been surpassed,” said Steven Camarota, the research director for CIS and author of the analysis.

The report also said that in February 2024, the foreign-born population in the United States hit a new high of 51.4 million and now accounts for 15.5% — surpassing all prior records.

Well, obviously as a basic matter of math, every new number is going to surpass all prior records (at least until the first generation starts dying). They don’t leave and they just keep coming.

The foreign-born share of the US population has more than tripled since 1970, nearly doubled since 1990, and is up 40 percent just since 2000.

Growth in the foreign-born population is being driven primarily by immigration from Latin America, which has grown 4.2 million since January 2021.

At 172,000 new immigrants arriving per month, the average increase in the foreign-born under President Biden is four times the 42,000 average monthly increase under former President Donald Trump before COVID-19 hit and double the 68,000 average under former President Barack Obama, when Biden was vice president.

While a large share of the recent growth in the foreign-born population is due to illegal immigration, legal immigrants still account for roughly three-fourths of the total foreign-born population, according to the report.

Yeah, see.

They also don’t include the “visa overstay” immigrants in any of these numbers. Those are legals who turn illegal, but the government just assumes all or most of them left.

“The scale of immigration is so high that it appears to have made the Census Bureau population projections, published in November of last year, obsolete. The bureau projected that the foreign-born share would not reach 15.5 percent until 2039,” the report said.

In February, the 31 million immigrant workers accounted for nearly 20% of all workers — both new record highs.

Yeah, and the same people calling them in are also calling for corporations to be forced by the state to raise wages.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), which creates economic forecasts used by the government, has exaggerated the financial benefits of mass migration, a think tank has claimed.

Centre for Migration Control (CMC) researchers accused the body of overestimating the tax contribution of future migrants by £6 billion (€7 billion). Robert Bates, the think tank’s research director, told The European Conservative that “nothing better exemplifies the grim political and economic consensus which has existed around mass migration more than this body.”

The OBR was set up by Conservative Party chancellor George Osborne in 2010 and is highly regarded in the established political sphere. In its forecast produced for the latest Budget announcement, the body said it assumed that “new migrants have the same employment, consumption, and residential patterns as residents, and as such pay similar levels of wider taxation.”

Bates described this assumption as “patently absurd.”

Using data from the Office for National Statistics, the CMC established that the average occupation salary for a resident skilled worker was £37,614 (€43,894) in 2023, compared to the average salary for a skilled migrant worker of £31,431 (€36,686). The Daily Telegraph reports that by projecting this analysis over the OBR’s forecast to 2028-29, the CMC found that expected tax contributions by migrants had been overestimated by £6 billion (€7 billion).

Given this discrepancy, Bates said “it is a mystery how such an opaque and unelected quango was able to become so powerful.”

Yeah.

Four new and three returning St. Paul City Council members were sworn in Tuesday during an inauguration ceremony for the capital city’s youngest, most racially diverse and first all-female legislative body.

Hundreds of spectators filled downtown’s Ordway Concert Hall for the two-hour afternoon program, delivering the first of many standing ovations as the seven women walked to the center of the stage, clad in bright purples, pinks and reds.

Though St. Paul is not the first city to elect an all-female council, it is believed to be the biggest, a feat that has drawn national attention.

“We’re here because our work at City Hall is not only to ensure amazing city services,” said incumbent Mitra Jalali, who is set to be voted council president by her peers Wednesday. “This historic council was sent to do historic work.”

The transition marks the most turnover the council has seen since the 1990s. All seven council members were on the ballot in November, and four of those seats were open after incumbents announced they would not seek re-election.

All seven female St. Paul city council members, four new to the council, were applauded after they were sworn in at a ceremony.

Every member of the incoming council is younger than 40, and a majority are women of color.

Mayor Melvin Carter, who emceed the event, reflected back on his own swearing in as a council member in 2008 — when he was the only person of color on stage, and former Council President Kathy Lantry was the only woman.

“My, how things have changed,” he said, adding: “One of the challenges that we will face together is the desire to make improvements — balancing that with the discomfort that change inevitably brings.”

One by one, first-term Council Members Anika Bowie, Saura Jost, Hwa Jeong Kim and Cheniqua Johnson took their oaths of office surrounded by family and friends, as did incumbents Jalali, Rebecca Noecker and Nelsie Yang. All will serve four-year terms.

Their elections brought across-the-board victory for progressive Democrats in St. Paul, perhaps foreshadowing a shift toward more liberal policies. Several state and local DFLers peppered the audience, including Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, who gave an address.

“Thank you for being change-makers. Thank you for being the road-pavers. Thank you for being the firsts,” she said to the council members on stage. “By sitting in these chairs today, you are inspiring more girls than you can ever imagine.”

They are still romanticizing this.
