A wealthy white West Virginia couple forced their adopted black children to work as slaves and sleep in a barn, according to disturbing charges.

I’m not disturbed by that and don’t appreciate the editorializing, Post.

Donald Ray Lantz, 63, and Jeanne Kay Whitefeather, 62, pleaded not guilty to more than a dozen new charges on Tuesday after two teens were found locked in a crumbling shed in ratty clothing, MetroNews reported.

Lantz and Whitefeather were first arrested in October after a wellness check led to the discovery of the couple’s five adopted children — aged 6, 9, 11, 14 and 16 — living in deplorable conditions on their Sissonville property.

Were they really deplorable?

Because I’ve studied this whole slavery thing, and found “slave abuse” to be a hoax. It’s also illogical to abuse your own property.

Like you think a Roomba is kinda like a robot slave, sort of, right?

If you found someone beating and otherwise abusing their Roomba, you would think that person was insane.

So I would really need evidence that this barn that these slaves were kept in was “deplorable” and not just a normal slave barn.

Sure as hell looks like a normal-ass slave barn to me.

The indictment, which Kanawha County Circuit Judge Maryclaire Akers said was one of the worst she’s ever seen, alleges that the adopted children were forced to work on the couple’s farmland because of their race.

“It alleges human trafficking, human rights violations, the use of forced labor,” Akers told the court.

“Human rights violations specific to the fact that these children were targeted because of their race and they were used basically as slaves from what the indictment alleges.”

It sounds like they were literally used as slaves.

Apparently that’s illegal now too, like everything else.

The couple faces numerous charges, including human trafficking of a minor child, use of a minor child in forced labor and child neglect creating substantial risk of serious bodily injury or death.

Whitefeather and Lantz were arrested after a child welfare call by a neighbor claimed two teenagers were being locked in a shed at the couple’s Sissonville home, according to a court filing, WCHS reported.

“Neighbors also reported that the children were forced to perform farm labor and were not permitted inside the residence,” the filing stated.

Police found a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl locked in the shed. Inside was a small RV porta-potty but no lights or running water. One of the teens told police they had been locked in the barn for 12 hours when they were last fed.

The two said the couple forced them to sleep on the concrete floor without any mattresses. They both wore dirty clothes and smelled like body odor, police noted, according to the filing.

Oh, the blacks were wearing dirty clothes and stank?

At this point, you’d think we could all just agree that abolishing slavery was a mistake. All of the results have been negative.

A bill that would have prohibited minors from getting married in West Virginia was defeated Wednesday night in a legislative committee.

The Republican-dominated Senate Judiciary Committee rejected the bill on a 9-8 vote, a week after it passed the House of Delegates.

The vote came shortly after the bill’s main sponsor, Democratic Del. Kayla Young of Kanawha County, testified briefly before the committee. She said that since 2000 there have been more than 3,600 marriages in the state involving one or more children.

Currently, children can marry as young as 16 in West Virginia with parental consent. Anyone younger than that also must get a judge’s waiver.

Wait, 16-year-old “children” can’t marry in other states?

“For now, there will be no floor for the age of marriage in WV, endangering our kids,” Young wrote on Twitter after the vote.

In a rebuke, Cabell County Democratic Sen. Mike Woelfel reminded the committee after the vote that Wednesday was International Women’s Day.

Some of the bill’s opponents have argued that teenage marriages are a part of life in West Virginia.

Kanawha County Republican Sen. Mike Stuart, a former federal prosecutor who sided with the majority, said his vote “wasn’t a vote against women.” He said his mother was married when she was 16, and “six months later, I came along. I’m the luckiest guy in the world.”

The bill would have established that 18 is the age of consent and removed the ability of a minor to obtain consent through their parents, legal guardians, or by court petition. Existing legal marriages, including those done in other states, would have been unaffected.

According to the nonprofit group Unchained At Last, which seeks to end forced and child marriage, seven states have set the minimum age for marriage at 18, all since 2018. Supporters of such legislation say it reduces domestic violence, unwanted pregnancies and improves the lives of teens.

If women had their way, they would make the marriage age 45. They would also force rich, handsome men to marry 45-year-old women.

When you give women any control over anything, they do nothing but max out their sexual advantages, because that’s all they have. Women in their 20s and 30s don’t want to compete with teenage girls who might actually be innocent enough to get married and actually act normal.

There is nothing more worthless than a used-up old whore who is not a virgin and who is old. They are jaded and nasty. They are also never going to be as attractive as nubile teenagers.

Residents of West Virginia and Maryland woke up Friday to find mysterious white dust falling from the sky and coating their cars — fueling conspiracy theories and an investigation by environmental officials in at least one state.

Photos and videos of the peculiar particles falling from the sky flooded social media, leaving residents to speculate about what it could be.

Sherry Miller of Inwood, West Virginia, said she and her husband were confused when they saw something unusual in the driveway. It was too warm for it to be snowing.

“We had no idea what it was,” Miller told DC News Now. “It looked like ash. I asked my husband if it was from the wood stove and he said, ‘No, it’s all over Berkeley County.’”

But as some uneasy residents questioned whether the strange dust was related to the Feb. 3 toxic train derailment in Ohio, environmental officials quickly shot down rumors.

Terry Fletcher, a spokesperson for the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, said on Friday that there was no indication it was related to the devastating derailment.

The department collected samples of the fallen dust to have them analyzed over the weekend.

On Monday, the department eased concerns when it determined that the mysterious dust was predominantly pollen, with trace amounts of mineral matter.

In fact, this powder from the sky is caused by commotio cordis, a rare condition.

Red states, either completely controlled by Republicans or where the GOP controls at least the legislature or the governor’s mansion, fund public universities that host transgender surgeries or provide kids with puberty blockers, according to an analysis from The College Fix.

At least thirteen red states host LGBT clinics affiliated with public universities, according to data compiled using the Human Rights Campaign’s tracker.

This includes the University of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital whose Roy G. Biv Program helps children sever their reproductive abilities and block puberty.

“Gender-affirming treatment includes pausing puberty, managing gender-affirming hormones, and helping patients find surgeons who perform fertility preservation and gender-affirming surgeries,” HRC, an LGBT advocacy group, stated on its website.

Governor Kevin Stitt’s office has not responded to a College Fix request for comment sent in the past month about whether the Republican would take action to prevent the transgender procedures at the hospital.

Governor Ron DeSantis’ media team noted that he has been supportive of prohibiting transgender surgeries on minors and it is likely legislation will come up soon. University of Florida Health provides “hormone therapy” and “gender-affirming surgical procedures” to children.

“He does not support taxpayer dollars funding these experimental and potentially harmful interventions on children,” Press Secretary Christina Pushaw told The Fix via email.

While “no such legislation passed in the last regular session” Pushaw wrote that “there are proposals being discussed for the next legislative session.” His administration is working on prohibiting state Medicaid dollars from covering transgender surgeries and drugs for minors.

Other red states host pediatric transgender clinics including the University of Utah Health and UNC Children’s Hospital in North Carolina.

West Virginia University, University of Virginia, Penn State and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, affiliated with Pitt, will help children permanently block their puberty or remove healthy reproductive organs. A University of Arkansas-affiliated children’s hospital also provides “gender-affirming care” and the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s hospital does too.

However, UAB’s pediatric transgender services remain up in the air due to a new state law and court challenges.

WVU Medicine has a Gender and Sexual Development Clinic aimed at kids. Children can receive drugs to block puberty and block menstruation.

Indiana University Health provides similar services.

“The Gender Health Program offers comprehensive support to children, teens, and young adults under age 21,” Riley Children’s Health, an IU hospital, states on its website.

“Gender affirming hormone therapy,” “Treatment for menstrual suppression” and “Surgery consultation and coordination” are some of the services provided by the children’s hospital.

University of Iowa Health Care is the “only center in Iowa that offers gender-confirming genital surgeries for trans feminine persons, including zero-depth vaginoplasty (also called vulvoplasty) and full-depth vaginoplasty.”

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s spokeswoman Erin Murphy did not respond to a request for comment sent in the past two weeks about his position on the university providing transgender procedures.

Nor did Alex Murphy, the communications director for Governor Kim Reynolds, respond to requests for comment on the University of Iowa hospital’s transgender surgeries.

Jordan Damron, communications director for West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, also did not respond to requests for comment.

UVA Children’s hospital provides “transgender youth health services for ages 11 to 25.”

“Puberty blockers that delay sex-related physical changes,” “Referrals for gender-affirming surgeries and voice therapy” and “Cross-sex hormones, like testosterone and estrogen” are some of the procedures provided at the Virginia hospital.

Macaulay Porter and Christian Martinez with Governor Glenn Youngkin’s media relations team did not respond to two emailed requests for comment sent in the past week. The Fix asked for the governor’s position on the clinic.

Yeah, Youngkin was supposed to be some kind of Christian revolutionary.

Now he won’t even answer the phone as to why he’s funding tranny child mutilations.

Republicans are a joke and they’re worthless and even if they sweep the midterms nothing will actually change. They all support trannies and say the only thing they really care about is women’s sports.

In the US federal state of West Virginia, Governor Jim Justice presented the latest vaccination numbers at a recent press conference. He said the number of positive cases in fully vaccinated people had increased by 26 percent in the past eight weeks.

In addition, the number of fully vaccinated people who contracted Corona and ended up in hospital rose 21 percent. These are so-called “breakthrough” infections. In addition, the death rate among fully vaccinated people has risen 25 percent in the past eight weeks, the governor said.

But instead of questioning the usefulness of vaccines, the governor is doubling down on distributing shots. The state will be giving an extra dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to the most at risk as soon as possible even though the risk for the elderly – including those living in communities – is very low.

He urged people to get vaccinated because natural immunity “is insufficient” and “does not protect as well” as the vaccines. Interestingly, Governor Justice happens to be the wealthiest person in West Virginia with a net worth of around $1.2 billion.

At a press conference on Monday, the governor stated that there were currently 112 Corona patients in West Virginia on life support – a new record. In addition, there were 216 patients in the intensive care unit, the highest number in eight months and only three away from the record.

Data from Israel and now Mongolia, show that vaccination actually drives infection. Israel has seen a record of 2 000 cases per million people in a single day despite being the leading country to jab its population. Not only is it seeing record case numbers in its fourth wave, but fatalities have also risen dramatically in the last month.

The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) may already be aware of this issue. Before September 2021, the CDC defined a vaccine as “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease”. But then the definition was changed. The CDC tacitly admitted that the mRNA vaccines do not grant immunity or stop infection – essentially imploding the need for a vaccine passport.

A federal judge this week temporarily blocked a West Virginia law that requires sports teams to be designated according to biological sex.

District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin on Wednesday granted a preliminary injunction against House Bill 3293, which took effect July 1, barring West Virginia from enforcing it amid ongoing litigation.

Goodwin’s ruling is rooted in the falsehood that a petitioner in the case, a gender-confused 11-year-old boy living as a girl, is actually female.

“Forcing a girl to compete on the boys’ team when there is a girls’ team available would cause her unnecessary distress and stigma,” Goodwin said, referring to the boy, “Becky” Pepper-Jackson. He further claimed that requiring the boy to compete on a team with fellow males “would also be confusing to coaches and teammates.”

Pepper-Jackson and his mother, Heather, sued two months ago to stop the implementation of House Bill 3293. A lawsuit filed on their behalf by the far-left nonprofit American Civil Liberties Union and LGBT legal organization Lambda Legal alleges that the law violates the Constitution and Title IX provisions sex-based discrimination.

“The motion for a preliminary injunction that accompanies [Pepper-Jackson’s] complaint seeks relief only insofar as this law applies to” the boy, Goodwin wrote. “That is, granting this motion will only prevent the State and other Defendants from enforcing Section 18-2-25d against B.P.J.”

“Whether the law is facially unconstitutional is an issue raised in the Complaint and will be resolved at a later stage of litigation,” he said.

House Bill 3293, signed into law by Republican Gov. Jim Justice in May, expressly prohibits “biological males from participating on athletic teams or sports designated for biological females where competitive skill or contact is involved.”

“In the context of sports involving competitive skill or contact, biological males and biological females are not in fact similarly situated,” it added, saying that males “would displace females to a substantial extent if permitted to compete on teams designated for biological females.”

Male athletes allowed on female teams have indeed taken dozens of athletic opportunities from women and girls in recent years, according to Alliance Defending Freedom, due to inherent physical differences that are not erased through gender “transitioning.”

In the decision, Judge Goodwin noted that Pepper-Jackson is currently taking puberty blockers, highly dangerous drugs that devastate bone density and which have never been approved by the FDA for gender confusion. If continued on a course of puberty blockers through adolescence, Pepper-Jackson will never go through normal puberty and will be sterile for life.

It really is like that episode of South Park where the rednecks hate Randy for saying the n-word.

West Virginia has gone all-in on masks in a way that no other conservative white state has.

Ten days ago, the governor of the state ordered the entire population to wear masks virtually all the time.

West Virginia has joined the growing list of states mandating masks to try to reduce the spread of Covid-19.  Governor Jim Justice’s executive order that took effect at midnight last night requires all West Virginians age nine and above to wear face coverings at all indoor public places where social distancing cannot be maintained.

The order comes as the number of Covid-19 cases in the state is on the rise.  The Department of Health and Human Resources dashboard shows 119 positive cases last Saturday, the most of any day since the pandemic began. That was followed by 87 cases on Sunday, the second most of any day.

The rate of positive cases per test is now moving toward four percent, meaning the higher number of infections is not simply a result of more testing.

If that were true, then deaths would also be going up. There is a static percentage of people who will die if they are infected with the virus, something like 0.009%, so if infections were actually going up and not simply seeming to because of a statistical anomaly (or fraud) in the testing apparatus, more people would be dying.

The local news also outlined the issues with the order.

Justice’s order is controversial for a variety of reasons.

First, does the Governor have the authority to issue such an order? West Virginia State Code 15-5-6 gives the state’s chief executive authority to act to protect “the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the state.”

For example, the Governor can order evacuations, control access to certain areas and even suspend provisions of regulatory statues during a state of emergency. Ordering mask-wearing during a pandemic would seem to fall under that statute.

Second, will ordering mask-wearing help slow the spread of the virus? There is plenty of research and expert opinion suggesting that it does.

The medical journal The Lancet recently published a meta-data analysis of 172 observational studies across 16 counties that concluded that wearing a face mask and social distancing helped to reduce the spread.

Additionally, a review of virus statistics in June by the National Governor’s Association found that in states that required mask wearing in public the number of Covid-19 cases declined, but in states where mask wearing was optional, the number of positive cases rose.

Third, how are West Virginians going to respond to being told to wear a mask?  That is the great unknown.  I have done a couple of unscientific online polls and typically about three out of four respondents say they wear masks when in public areas.

If three out of four people actually wanted to wear masks before the order was issued, then the system had already won. Taking away people’s freedoms is primarily not based on force, but based on justifying the act of taking away people’s freedoms.

If people were stupid or naive enough to believe in this virus hoax, then forcing them to do things that ostensibly protect them from the virus was easy.

To understand this submission, we can perhaps look at the Aztecs. These people were doing large scale human sacrifices, killing many, many peasants. They were telling them that if they didn’t kill many people, the sun would disappear. By tracking solar eclipses, they were able to make the people believe that it was possible for the sun to disappear, and so people were convinced to go along with the human sacrifice.

It’s a more or less identical situation with the masks. I think if Anthony Fauci came out tomorrow and said that human sacrifice was going to be necessary to stop the spread of the virus, the same number of people who are wearing the masks would agree that this was necessary. If you’ve already gone this far, you’ll go as far as they ask you to go.

The local media in West Virginia is inundating the people with virus hysteria. Here’s an op-ed from a local media columnist saying that if 95% of people wear masks, the virus will disappear. He frames himself as a right-winger sympathetic to the people of the state, and states this mystical voodoo plan as scientific. In fact, it is about as scientific as human sacrifice to stop the sun from disappearing – according to this theory, the flu and every other virus would also disappear forever because of masks, which no one believes. According to this theory, we could have just wiped out every virus in existence decades ago using this method.

Towns in WV are beginning to impose fines on people for not wearing masks, which is even more illegal than the governor ordering them to wear them in the first place, but again – anything is legal if people do not resist, and the longer this stuff goes on, the more it is established as normal and the less people are going to resist.

West Virginia is the ideal of an extremely conservative and white state, so to have them still, in July, all in on this hoax is an extremely bad sign. Again, for this to work, the people have to consent to it. From what we are seeing, the people are consenting, and white people are at the front of the line.

No wonder President Trump posed for that mask photo.

He’s going to have to engage this madness or just lose the election.

A warrant has been issued for a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in Charleston in 2019.

Charleston Police have issued a murder warrant for Lasalle Javon Burnett, 38, of Charleston.

According to police, Burnett is wanted in connection to the shooting death of Adam Swim, 41, of Charleston.

…

Police say Burnett is already in South Center Regional Jail on an unrelated charge.

Swim was killed at his home on Ash Street in June of 2019, according to police. Police say they found Swim with a gunshot wound to the head when they arrived.

Well, the drug dealer did rip him off.

A Martinsburg man was sentenced Monday to a maximum of 100 years in prison after a guilty plea to second degree murder and a four-count felony guilty verdict was returned by a Berkeley County in a separate case.

Alvin Deshaun Gilbert, 27, also known as Albert D. Gilbert, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, a lesser included offense of the indicted first-degree murder charge, in December after fatally shooting 26-year-old Corey Barkhammer on the evening of Feb. 3. Gilbert admitted to the shooting, but also alleged he was defending himself when the victim allegedly pulled a gun on him during a struggle.

However, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney C. Lydia Lehman told the court there was no evidence of a struggle or a gun on the victims person.

Gilbert also told the court he went to the 405 S. Raleigh St. home and forced his way inside to talk to Barkhammer after he had allegedly ripped Gilbert off during a drug transaction. Witnesses told police a male, later identified as Gilbert, arrived at the home and began kicking the front door open before they heard a series of gunshots and Gilbert leaving the area.

While Gilbert admitted to being angry, he alleged he did not have his weapon pulled out when he forced his way into the home. However, he did admit to firing four or five shots during the altercation.

Pursuant to the plea agreement, Gilbert was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder charged by 23rd Judicial Circuit Court Judge Michael Lorensen. The plea also dismissed eight felony drug-related charges indicted with the murder case as well as three felony drug-related charges severed from the robbery trial.

Gilbert was also sentenced Monday on four felony convictions stemming from an October jury trial in connection to the armed robbery of $2,700 from a female on May 6, 2018 at after leaving the 9 East Bar and Grill. The jury returned guilty verdicts of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault during the commission of a felony and use or presentation of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

A Cartersville man was convicted Friday of selling drugs to a West Virginia woman whose body was found dismembered in a Bartow County landfill two years ago.

Terrick Robinson, 35, was found guilty of several felonies after he sold Courtney Nicole Dubois drugs laced with fentanyl in August 2018 and attempted to hide her overdose, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia said in a news release. Dubois’ remains were discovered in a Cartersville recycling plant.

Dubois, 20, had been reported missing from Fairmont, West Virginia, before her body’s discovery, AJC.com previously reported. Bartow deputies found her body in numerous pieces in individual bags.

Soon after, a sketch of the woman was released in hopes of identifying her. GBI agents were able to identify her remains using dental records and her distinctive tattoos.
