Marcus Parchment.

The victim would have been safer befriending an actual gorilla.

BBC:

A man who struck and fatally wounded his friend in an alleyway has been jailed for four years for killing him.

Damien Howl, 42, was punched in the head by Marcus Parchment, 42, in West Bromwich on 5 June. Mr Howl died in hospital the next day.

Parchment admitted manslaughter and was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Mr Howl’s family said they were devastated, describing him as a “much-loved son, father, brother, uncle and boyfriend”.

…

Police said Mr Howl had visited Parchment at his home in Heath Lane the evening before his death.

The pair had spent some time drinking together and got into an altercation.

A post-mortem examination showed that Mr Howl died of a haemorrhage consistent with a heavy blow to the side of his neck.

Nayyib Mohammed.

The victim was in “the wrong place at the wrong time,” apparently.

Funny how there seems to be WAY more “wrong places” and “wrong times” for British people these days than when Britain was a homogeneous white country…

Birmingham Live:

A speeding driver has been jailed for seven years after he mowed down a pedestrian at more than 70mph in West Bromwich.

Nayyib Mohammed was banned from the roads when he hit Richard James Cheshire on Trinity Way, on the outskirts of the town centre, just after 1.30pm on August 3 this year.

Mr Cheshire was thrown onto the other side of the dual carriageway. The 37-year-old – who police said was simply in the “wrong place at the wrong time” was left with serious injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.

West Midlands Police’s serious collision investigation unit showed Mohammed had been driving recklessly and was doing 72mph in a 40mph zone just 25 metres before the collision.

Mohammed, of Marshall Street, Smethwick, was arrested at the scene.

…

He was jailed for seven years at Wolverhampton Crown Court today, Friday, October 4, and banned from the road for 13 years.

Bishop Gerald Edmonds excuse is that he fell victim to a Nigerian internet scam.
Bishop Gerald Edmond’s excuse for stealing the huge sum of money, is that he fell victim to a Nigerian internet scam.

A former bishop and magistrate has been jailed for two years for stealing £186,000 from church funds.

Gerald Edmund, 77, was exposed when he was tricked into believing he had inherited millions of pounds from a religious leader in the Ivory Coast.

Edmund, of the Bethel Convention Centre in West Bromwich, was questioned by church officials when they found there was not enough money to pay bills.

The centre’s bank account had been used to transfer money to Africa.

The ex-clergyman, of Lansdown Road, Bristol, admitted one count of fraud by false representation and two of theft, while serving as church treasurer and trustee between July 2010 and February 2011.

Judge Melbourne Inman QC accepted some of the stolen money had been taken because Edmund was himself a victim of fraud.

The defence counsel, Satvir Aujla, described Edmund as a “broken man suffering ill health.”

Mrs Aujla added: “He stands in the dock feeling ashamed and humiliated. He, having built his reputation over decades, has been tarnished now.”

Passing sentence, Judge Inman acknowledged Edmund had done “a great deal of good” during his Christian work, but told him: “You were able to take the money because of the high degree of trust that was placed in you by your church.”
