American media will not report on plastics or PFAS or any of the other pollutants in our environment, going into our bodies. Yet they have special verticals with daily articles about “climate change.”

A new legal petition filed by more than 170 top environmental groups demands that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) begin monitoring for microplastics in drinking water, an essential first step to reining in pollution viewed as one of the nation’s most pressing public health threats.

The scale of microplastic water pollution, the extent to which the substance is lodged throughout human bodies, and the many health implications have come into sharp focus in recent years, but the EPA still has not taken meaningful action, public health advocates say.

The petition pushes the agency to begin monitoring microplastics as an emerging contaminant under the Safe Drinking Water Act in 2026.

Microplastics have been found to cross the brain and placental barriers, and those who have them in their heart tissue are twice as likely to have a heart attack or stroke during the next several years.

Independent testing has found them in virtually all drinking water samples tested, and other research estimated the average person ingests about 4,000 particles in drinking water annually.

California last year became the first state to start monitoring for the substance.

Last year, in a rare New York Times article about plastic pollution, they put the article in the global warming section and said that the problem with plastic is that it’s helping global warming.

Everything is global warming and they’re telling you that when you hear people talking about plastic, they’re actually talking about global warming. Windmills and solar panels require “rare earth minerals” and it is impossible to properly dispose of all of these machines they are building. The whole thing is just a massive money scam, and a Jewish globalist project to force global integration. It is not real at all, and the fact that they won’t use nuclear proves it’s not real.

PFAS may be contaminating drinking water for up to 70% of about 140 million people in the US who draw water from the nation’s aquifers via private or public wells, a new federal government study estimates. The findings show a potential impact on about 95 million people, or 27% of the nation’s population.

The US Geological Survey sampling and modeling of groundwater contamination found readings up to 37,000 times higher than the EPA’s new drinking water limits. In some regions virtually all of those using public systems that draw from groundwater may be drinking contaminated water.

This is especially a problem for those who draw from private wells, or small public wells, because neither is covered by strong new PFAS limits implemented by the Environmental Protection Agency – those people represent about 13% of the US population.

“This study’s findings indicate widespread PFAS contamination in groundwater that is used for public and private drinking water supplies in the US,” said Andrea Tokranov, a USGS hydrologist and the study’s lead author, said in a statement.

The highest levels of exposure to potentially contaminated water in private wells were found in Michigan, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio.

Meanwhile, California and Florida show the highest population levels potentially exposed to PFAS in water drawn from public wells. Up to 98% and 87% of populations in Massachusetts and Connecticut, respectively, who draw from public wells may have contaminated water.

The research found the usual suspects were behind the most polluted areas – military bases, airports, chemical production centers, plating facilities, plastic production and other industries.

The government will continue to talking about global warming as you drink chemical poison that destroys every system in your body.

That’s democracy for you. You can’t complain about it. In a democracy, there is no way to petition grievances.

The Air Force has reached an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency to address contaminated drinking water in Tucson, Arizona, despite recent legal attempts to shirk responsibility.

The EPA announced Tuesday that the Air Force was finally in compliance with an emergency order issued in May telling the service to clean up contaminated groundwater around Tucson International Airport. In the 1980s, a 10-square-mile area around the airport, including nearby military facilities such as Air Force Plant 44 and Morris Air National Guard Base, was designated as a Superfund site.

Trichloroethylene and 1,4-dioxane have been previously detected, as well as more recent concentrations of PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances known as “forever chemicals” because they do not break down easily and build up in the body. Those chemicals have also been tied to health risks such as various cancers, high cholesterol and liver damage, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Everyone living in the United States deserves to be able to drink safe water, without fear of contamination from PFAS and other harmful pollutants,” EPA Assistant Administrator for Enforcement and Compliance Assurance David Uhlmann said in a news release. “We welcome the efforts by the Air Force to meet its obligations to service members and the residents of Tucson.”

The Air Force’s Wednesday statement failed to acknowledge, however, its efforts this summer to buck responsibility for the EPA’s emergency order.

In a July letter responding to the EPA, which Military.com reported on, Air Force lawyers leaned on a landmark Supreme Court decision this summer — Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo — that ultimately reduced the power of regulatory agencies by pushing an interpretation of vague or confusing laws to the courts, ending a practice often referred to as “Chevron deference.”

Even if the EPA is able to make this ruling, they have no ability to enforce it.

There are poisonous chemicals in everyone’s water, and bottled water is not much better. Even if the bottled water is properly cleaned, it all comes in plastic, which leeches into the water.

Toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” are ubiquitous in the Great Lakes basin’s air, rain, atmosphere and water, new peer-reviewed research shows.

The first-of-its-kind, comprehensive picture of PFAS levels for the basin, which holds nearly 95% of the nation’s freshwater, also reveals that precipitation is probably a major contributor to the lakes’ contamination.

“We didn’t think the air and rain were significant sources of PFAS in the Great Lakes’ environment, but it’s not something that has been studied that much,” said Marta Venier, a co-author with Indiana University.

Measurements found PFAS levels in the air varied throughout the basin – they were much higher in urban locations such as Chicago than in rural spots in northern Michigan. That tracks with how other chemical pollutants, like PCBs, are detected, Venier said.

But levels in rain were consistent throughout the basin – virtually the same in industrialized areas such as Chicago and Cleveland as in Sleeping Bear Dunes, a remote region in northern Michigan. The finding was a bit “puzzling” Venier said, adding that it probably speaks to the chemicals’ ubiquity.

PFAS “background levels” are now so high and the environmental contamination so widespread that the atmospheric counts, including in rain, are relatively consistent. The PFAS in rain could be carried from local sources, or have traveled long distances from other regions. Regardless, it is a major source of pollution that contributes to the lakes’ levels, Venier added.

Yeah, the whole Western world is covered in this stuff.

A new book aimed at “exposing the billionaire class” says Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ investments in patented fertilizers, fake meat and U.S. farmland aren’t saving the planet but rather enriching his bank account.

“Controligarchs,” which hits bookshelves Tuesday, examines billionaires like Bill Gates and how their wealth controls the levers of power that dominate the everyday life of average Americans.

Author and investigative journalist Seamus Bruner — who led teams whose findings sparked multiple FBI investigations and congressional probes into the Clinton and Biden families — says that his research uncovered Gates’s efforts to buy up American farmland and invest in synthetic dairy and lab-grown meats in the name of preventing climate change.

Bruner is like a boomer, and not especially internet savvy, so you get what you pay for as far as that goes.

He goes on and on about China and Russia being Nazis working with the Jews or whatever.

That said, I don’t think he’s stupid. He might have some interesting information. You just have to be aware that you’re dealing with a person with a psychological handicap.

I doubt the book would be particularly helpful to anyone who reads this website, and it probably has a lot of bad information in it (just being honest, sorry Seamus).

That said, it’s good to just have these kinds of ideas in the public domain as much as possible.

In the process, Bruner says, Gates is doing more to inflate his net worth than eliminate carbon emissions.

“First, it was patented seeds and patented fertilizers, and now they are patenting meat alternatives. Banning cattle would grant effective monopolies to the alternative protein companies and benefit investors such as Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and even BlackRock. Fake meats are about controlling the food market, not saving the planet,” Bruner said in an interview with Fox News Digital.

It does really seem like he’s just trying to fleece boomers.

Peter Schweizer, author of “Red-Handed,” “Clinton Cash” and “Profiles in Corruption,” wrote the forward to “Controligarchs” in which he said the book “peers into the future and provides a haunting and revelatory exposé of the leftist elite’s playbook for the next five years.”

One chapter of the book focuses on “the war on farmers” and makes the case that tech giants like Gates are monopolizing the nation’s food supply.

Bruner documents the outrage of farmers around the world after the push to ban more traditional and affordable crop nutrients, and he notes that restrictions on traditional fertilizer that the farmers said would bankrupt them were only put into place “after Gates and his buddies had secured the intellectual property for the replacement fertilizers.”

This is real and doesn’t really get talked about very much.

Of course, Jewish Monsanto has been doing this for like, twenty years. So it’s not really new news.

Bruner continues that “for more than a decade, as he was targeting the fertilizer industry, Bill Gates has also been quietly buying up large swaths of American farmland.”

“All told, Gates has spent over $1 billion dollars on farm acquisitions and the Agenda 2030-compliant technologies they now employ,” Bruner says. Agenda 2030 is a United Nations initiative purported to target “eliminating extreme poverty, reducing inequality, and protecting the planet.”

“When Gates buys tens of thousands of acres, he is not just buying the land — he is also buying the rights to water below ground. In addition to farms (and the irrigation) and fertilizer, Gates has been hunting for sizable interests in water and water treatment — a crucial component when seeking to control the agricultural industry,” Bruner notes.

People have to have freedom.

The Philadelphia Water Department says tap water is safe to drink in the city through 11:59 p.m. Monday after a chemical spill in Bristol Township, Bucks County.

The water department, though, is warning residents should be prepared for some problems Tuesday.

“Based on updated hydraulic modeling and the latest sampling, we are confident tap water from the Baxter plant will remain safe to drink through 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 27,” the water department wrote in a tweet.

The water department says the updated time is based on when the Baxter Drinking Water Treatment Plant will take river water to move through treatment and water mains before it reaches customers.

The water concerns do not affect the entire city. The areas in orange, east of the Schuylkill River, would be the potentially impacted areas. Those in the green, west of the Schuylkill, are not impacted because they receive water from a different source.

The spill of a latex product occurred Friday night in Bristol Township at Otter Creek. Between 8,000 and 12,000 gallons of acrylic latex polymer were released by a chemical processing plant.

The company that owns the plant, Trinseo PLC, is blaming the spill on equipment failure.

Officials say acrylic latex polymer is non-toxic to humans.

Dr. Arthur Frank, an environmental public health expert from Drexel University, says the material is probably so diluted it won’t be dangerous to the water system.

Dr. Tim Bechtel, a professor of geoscience at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, echoed a similar sentiment.

Bechtel says the city’s recommendation is appropriate and cautious, and that families should not panic but rather plan ahead until the threat passes.

“Collect city water now,” Bechtel said, “and have a nice stockpile of water that you will be drinking and cooking with.”

The earlier advisory was issued out of an abundance of caution, the water department said.

The man-made lakes that store water supplying millions of people in the U.S. West and Mexico are projected to shrink to historic lows in the coming months, dropping to levels that could trigger the federal government’s first-ever official shortage declaration and prompt cuts in Arizona and Nevada.

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation released 24-month projections this week forecasting that less Colorado River water will cascade down from the Rocky Mountains through Lake Powell and Lake Mead and into the arid deserts of the U.S. Southwest and the Gulf of California. Water levels in the two lakes are expected to plummet low enough for the agency to declare an official shortage for the first time, threatening the supply of Colorado River water that growing cities and farms rely on.

It comes as climate change means less snowpack flows into the river and its tributaries, and hotter temperatures parch soil and cause more river water to evaporate as it streams through the drought-plagued American West.

I guess we’ve got more important things to do than clean drinking water.

But in a world where you didn’t have other priorities, there wouldn’t be water shortages.

Can reverse osmosis remove salt from saltwater? Yes.

The Guardian and Consumer Reports investigated American tap water in 120 locations across the United States and found disturbing stuff in it.

• 117 of the 120 samples tested had PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), toxic “forever chemicals” linked to infertility and other serious health problems. Furthermore, more than 35% of the samples had these chemicals in levels above Consumer Reports’ recommended maximum
• About 8% of the samples had arsenic levels above Consumer Reports’ recommended maximum
• 118 of the 120 samples had detectable levels of lead, and there is no safe exposure level of lead

PFAS have recently been on the news, with Shanna Swan, a professor of environmental medicine and public health at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York, warning that the world will be completely infertile by 2045 if we continue following current trends.

Both arsenic and lead are known to cause various health problems, but arsenic in particular is also linked to IQ reduction in children.

Tap water is making Americans sicker, dumber, and less fertile.

It is also making men more like women, and women more like men.

This, combined with plastic pollution, are actual threats to the planet and to humanity. But the likes of Greta Thunberg focus on made-up things like climate change, that have no measurable effect on people’s health.

Then they don’t understand what’s going on, so they take pills.

Although many people know they need to drink more water, it turns out few are actually treating their dehydration with water! In fact, some are doing things which just make things worse. New research shows more Americans will reach for over-the-counter medication to treat dehydration symptoms rather than drink a glass of H2O.

A study of 2,000 people examined their daily hydration habits and finds many suffer through common ailments like headaches and fatigue that could be remedied by drinking more water. Nearly two in three (63%) admitted they’re likely to reach for a pain reliever when discomforts arise. The average person suffers two headaches, three muscle cramps, and two dizzy spells over a week’s time – all of which are symptoms of chronic dehydration.

Yet when faced with these common ailments, taking a sip of water was not the respondents’ top choice to ease their pain. The survey, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Essentia Water, shows 45 percent want to lie down when experiencing a dizzy spell and one in five close their eyes until the unsteadiness passes.

“Often when we feel fatigued or a headache coming on, we think we need to eat (or reach for medication), but really we need to drink. Researchers speculate that these ill effects are your brain’s built-in ‘alarm system,’ tipping you off to the fact that your body needs hydration ASAP,” says Essentia Water Health & Wellness Advisor Dr. Dana Cohen, MD, in a statement.

Maybe we should be teaching this in schools instead of the butt stuff?
