Obviously, this is what powerful Jews want. They create these situations where they are “persecuted for no reason” in order to bring the tribe together. As everyone knows, antisemitism” is a big hoax where Jews do horrible things the others (specifically, they often murder children, previously in ritual sacrifices and now with bullets and bombs, which is really just human sacrifice on a mass scale), and then they claim that they are being “persecuted.” This is totally a strategy by the top Jews to get all the other Jews to fall in line.

But they are doing these things. The fact that Bibi Netanyahu wants Jews to face arrest around the world so he can talk about how unfair it is does not mean that Jews shouldn’t be arrested around the world.

An Israeli Defense Forces soldier, who survived Hamas’s attack on the Supernova festival on Oct. 7, was forced to flee Brazil after the nation opened a war crimes investigation against him amid growing backlash over the Gaza war, according to local reports.

Yuval Vagdani was on vacation in Brazil with his family when reports emerged over the weekend naming him as a suspect who helped level “a residential building in the Gaza Strip while using explosives outside of combat,” the Brazilian Metrópoles reports.

Israel’s Foreign Ministers’ Office said it helped facilitate Vagdani and his family’s “swift and safe departure from Brazil,” according to Israel’s Army Radio, with Minister Gideon Sa’ar slamming Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as an antisemite.

The Hind Rajab Foundation, a group seeking accountability against the Israeli military for the ongoing conflict, accused Vagdani of taking part in a November explosion that decimated refugee shelters in Gaza.

The group claims it has verified footage showing Vagdani “planting explosives and participating in the destruction of entire neighborhoods,” all while acting of his own accord and not as a result of orders he received.

I don’t know how they would know this from a video unless they did some kind of facial recognition on him, but frankly, any Jew with Israeli citizenship should be arrested and put on trial for war crimes. Actually, all Jews regardless of citizenship should be assumed to be Israeli citizens as any Jew can get Israeli citizenship, and therefore should be held responsible for Jewish crimes.

Put them on trial and let them prove their innocence.

“This individual actively contributed to the destruction of homes and livelihoods, and his own statements and behavior clearly align with the genocidal objectives in Gaza,” the HRF said in a statement.

The group called on Brazilian authorities to arrest Vagdani on Saturday night, claiming they had a tip that Israeli officials were working to help the IDF soldier escape the country.

Vagdani’s father told Channel 12 that his son had successfully escaped Brazil, but he has not heard from his son and his family since.

Vagdani’s case is just one of allegedly 12 investigations being opened around the world targeting IDF soldiers over alleged war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Sa’ar’s office is looking into a dozen cases that have been opened in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Belgium, the Netherlands, Serbia, Ireland, and Cyprus, according to Israeli outlets.

These Jews all film themselves committing these murders and various other sickening abuses.

They are all guilty.

Good on Brazil for going after these Jews.

Frankly, all Indians should also be arrested for scamming old people and morons with their various schemes.

Random Russians have been getting arrested for years now, and Russia literally did nothing wrong. So this proves that governments can and will just arrest random people. The Jews should be persecuted, as a result of all of these crimes.

This is an extremely conservative estimate.

As things stand right now, Israel is continuing to say that they are not stopping until they “destroy Hamas.”

The only possible way to “destroy Hamas” is to kill virtually everyone in Palestine. You would have to kill at least 80% of the population, and probably much more.

Unless something changes, and this keeps going like this until “Hamas is destroyed,” the final death toll is going to be more than 1.5 million.

Frankly, I really despise it when “experts” come out with these estimates that make headlines – always very specific (if its an estimate, why “186,000” instead of a more round number?) – and are taken seriously, despite the fact that their methodology is more or less arbitrary.

In this context, “the Lancet estimates” means about as much as “some guy guesses.”

As many as 186,000 Palestinians may be killed directly or indirectly by the Gaza war, the British medical journal, the Lancet, has predicted.

“Even if the conflict were to end immediately, many indirect deaths will continue to be recorded in the coming months and years due to causes such as reproductive, communicable and non-communicable diseases,” the journal reported.

The death toll could exceed this figure, it said, “given the intensity of this conflict; destroyed healthcare infrastructure; severe shortages of food, water and shelter; the population’s inability to flee to safe places; and the loss of funding to [the UN agency for Palestinian refugees] Unrwa, one of the very few humanitarian organisations still active in the Gaza Strip”.

The Lancet’s prediction is based on a June 19th report by the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry that 37,306 Palestinians had been killed since Israel launched its war on Gaza in response to the October 7th attack on it by Hamas, in which 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 taken hostage, according to Israel.

The Lancet said the figure adopted as the base for its projection was “likely an underestimate” due to the thousands of bodies under rubble. The health ministry collects data on “people dying in its hospitals or brought in dead” as well as from “reliable media sources and first responders”, it said.

In recent conflicts, the Lancet said, “indirect deaths range from three to 15 times the number of direct deaths”. Its projected figure of 186,000 overall deaths was reached by applying “a conservative estimate of four deaths per one direct death”. The Lancet said this would amount to 7.9 per cent of Gaza’s 2.3 million Palestinians.

Here’s a question worth pondering: how does God view the Americans who are paying taxes to make this happen and are not speaking out against it?

A French court has issued an international arrest warrant for the Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad for complicity in war crimes against humanity linked to chemical weapon attacks on civilians.

Three others – including Assad’s brother Maher, head of an elite army unit – are also subject to warrants over the use of banned sarin gas in two attacks in August 2013 that killed more than 1,000 people, including hundreds of children.

Campaigners seeking justice for the killings hailed as “a historic moment” what is believed to be the first time a sitting head of state has been the subject of an arrest warrant in another country for crimes against humanity.

It is a new victory for the victims, their families and the survivors, and a step on the path to justice and sustainable peace in Syria,” said the lawyer Mazen Darwish, founder and director general of the Syrian Centre for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM), a civil party to the case.

Investigating judges from the crimes against humanity division of the Paris judicial court have been investigating the chemical attacks in Syria since April 2021. Similar civil cases against the Damascus regime have been lodged with courts in Sweden and Germany.

As well as Bashar al-Assad and Maher al-Assad, the much feared de facto leader of the regime’s 4th Armoured division, the French court on Wednesday issued warrants for the arrest of Gen Ghassan Abbas, director of Branch 450 of the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Centre (SSRC), and Gen Bassam al-Hassan, presidential adviser for strategic affairs and liaison officer between the presidential palace and the SSRC.

The arrest warrants make the legal charge of complicity in crimes against humanity and war crimes against all four.

Steve Kostas, senior managing lawyer at the Open Society Justice Initiative, said: “This is the first time a sitting head of state has been the subject of an arrest warrant in another country for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“This is a historic moment – with this case, France has an opportunity to establish the principle that there is no immunity for the most serious international crimes, even at the highest level.”

The thing they’re saying happened did not, in fact, actually happen.

Plus, I mean… just think about it for 2 seconds: Assad is under an invasion by a foreign power, so we’re claiming that while in the midst of rallying his people to fight back, he inexplicably and for no reason (these people do not even offer a reason) decided to start gassing his own people?

The blockaded Gaza Strip has been hit by one of the deadliest nights of Israeli bombing so far in the new war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

At least 400 Palestinians were killed in Gaza in the last 24 hours, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, and 70 were killed overnight on Sunday in bombardments of the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp and streets close to two hospitals in Gaza City.

Gaza’s health authority has said at least 5,087 people have been killed in Israel’s two-week bombardment – many of them women and children. The conflict broke out after Hamas militants attacked southern Israeli communities on 7 October, killing 1,400 people and taking 222 into Gaza as hostages.

How many of them were “Hamas fighters”?

The actual number is “zero.” Hamas fighters are in the tunnels.

Jews have been slaughtering helpless civilians for more than two weeks – right out in front of the whole world.

Early on Monday, the Israeli military said it had hit more than 320 “military targets” in the last 24 hours, and that ground forces had conducted “limited raids” to kill gunmen and search for hostages.

Hamas said the day before that it destroyed an Israeli tank and two armoured bulldozers inside the territory, which it has ruled since 2007.

Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for the strip’s civil defence unit, told the independent Palestinian media organisation Wattan that rescue operations were becoming more difficult because of the scale of destruction and impeded access. “Our crews are recovering victims in the form of body parts, and the chances of recovering survivors are diminishing,” he said.

The intensified airstrikes come amid reports that on Sunday the US had pressed Israel to delay its expected ground assault on Gaza to allow time for the release of more hostages believed to be held in the exclave, and the delivery of more aid to Palestinians.

A second aid convoy, of 14 trucks, entered Gaza through the Rafah crossing with Egypt late on Sunday – a welcome development for the 2.3 million people who are trapped and running out of food and clean water – with a third arriving on Monday.

This is not even enough to cover one half of one percent of the needs for 1 day.

The UN has said the volume of aid that has entered Gaza so far is just 4% of the daily average before the hostilities, and a fraction of what is needed, as medicines and fuel run out and the healthcare system verges on collapse.

Yeah, and before that, they had clean water and their own food.

The EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, on Monday urged faster aid deliveries to Gaza, and said the bloc was debating calling for a “humanitarian pause” in the conflict.

In a statement released on Sunday, the leaders of the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Britain urged Israel to adhere to international humanitarian law and protect civilians, while underscoring their support for Israel and its right to defend itself – calls that come amid growing fears that the war could balloon into a wider Middle East conflict.

The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, and the defence secretary, Lloyd Austin, said the US expected the conflict to escalate through the involvement of proxies of Iran. Washington has dispatched a significant amount of naval power to the Middle East, including two aircraft carriers, support ships and about 2,000 marines, to help deter attacks by Iran-affiliated forces.

It will escalate – though I think there will be some lag.

I still think that most likely, they are going to cool it off, and do the hostage exchange.

The Palestinian Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, and the Iranian foreign minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, talked by phone on Sunday about how to stop Israel’s “brutal crimes” in Gaza, Hamas said in a statement.

Israeli aircraft struck two cells of the Iran-backed Hezbollah group in Lebanon early on Monday, the Israel Defence Forces said. With violence around its heavily guarded borders increasing, Israel on Sunday added 14 communities close to Lebanon and Syria to its evacuation contingency plan in the north of the country.

When Palestinians in north Gaza heeded the warnings issued in the Israeli military’s phone calls, text messages, and fliers advising them to head south, they thought they were fleeing to potential safety.

The Israeli Defense Forces issued the guidance Friday, telling all civilians in north Gaza to evacuate to areas south of Wadi Gaza “for your own safety and the safety of your families” as the IDF continues “to operate significantly in Gaza City and make extensive efforts to avoid harming civilians.”

However, some Palestinians who followed the evacuation warnings and fled their homes in search of safety suffered the very fate they were running from: Israeli airstrikes killed them outside of the evacuation zone.

The killings underscore the reality that evacuation zones and warning alerts from the Israeli military haven’t guaranteed safety for civilians in the densely populated Gaza Strip, where Palestinians have no safe place to escape Israeli bombs.

In the early hours on Friday, Aaed Al-Ajrami and his nephew, Raji, received a phone call from an Israeli military official – warning him to get everyone he knows and head southwards immediately, the nephew told CNN. Despite following the instructions and successfully fleeing south of the evacuation zone, Aaed’s family was killed by an Israeli airstrike the next day.

An audio recording of the phone call obtained by CNN reveals the details of the brief conversation – which included the IDF’s instructions to flee south of the evacuation zone and no guidance on how to get there. Raji said once they realized who was calling, they recorded the conversation so they could share it with other family members.

“All of you go to the South. You and all your family members. Gather all of your stuff with you and head there,” the officer told them.

Aaed wanted to know what road would be safe to take and what time they should leave.

“It doesn’t matter which road,” the officer replied. “Do it as fast as you can. There is no time left.”

Aaed heeded the warning. By sunrise on Friday, he headed south with his family and relatives to stay with friends in Deir Al Balah, a city roughly eight miles south of Wadi Gaza and outside the evacuation zone.

The next day, an Israeli airstrike in the area destroyed parts of the building where Aaed’s family sought refuge – killing him and 12 other members of his family, including seven children..

CNN has reached out to the IDF for comment about the airstrike outside of the evacuation zone, including Deir Al Balah.

The Jews are probably going to bomb CNN for reporting this.

Fears are growing that people in Gaza are beginning to dehydrate to death as clean water runs out, while Israeli airstrikes continue to pound the Palestinian territory of 2.3 million residents amid a total blockade on food, electricity, medicine and fuel.

The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, said on Tuesday that Gaza’s last seawater desalination plant had shut down, bringing the risk of further deaths and waterborne diseases such as cholera and dysentery. Six water wells, three water pumping stations and one water reservoir – which collectively served more than 1.1million people – are also out of action, it said.

Israel cut off its sole water pipeline to Gaza, along with the fuel and electricity that power water and sewage plants, in the wake of the Hamas attacks that killed 1,400 people. UN experts have condemned the Israeli bombardment and blockade as “collective punishment”, which is a war crime.

After 16 years of a joint Israeli-Egyptian blockade, imposed after Hamas seized control of the exclave in 2007, clean water was already one of the most pressing concerns in the strip. Almost 97% of the water in Gaza’s sole aquifer is not potable; without proper maintenance and with Israeli restrictions on imports and electricity, sewage treatment plants were overwhelmed years ago. Untreated waste has flowed directly into the Mediterranean for more than a decade.

Now, desperate civilians find themselves consuming the contaminated tap water, or digging new wells too close to the sea to drink and use dirty, salty water. “People are trying to fetch water out of dangerous places, like the wells at mosques. In fact, children were killed [by airstrikes] while trying to drink water at a mosque a week ago,” said Jamil al-Meqdad, a writer and researcher in Gaza City.

“Water for daily use, washing, dishwashing etc was completely cut because there is no electricity for generators to pump water … And the water truck only comes about once every three days, so no one can get enough. The only remaining water is being distributed in small amounts so that each person can have a small share.”

Access to at least 50 litres of water per person per day is the minimum level set by the World Health Organization. Most people in Gaza are now believed to be surviving on three, the UN says.

Dehydration quickly leads to fatigue, dizziness and confusion before organs such as the kidneys shut down, causing coma and death. Severe dehydration must be treated quickly for patients to recover: it can cause permanent brain and other organ damage.

Water access is crucial for sanitation and hospitals. “Water is needed to ensure sanitary conditions on inpatient wards, in operation rooms, and emergency departments. It is essential for the prevention of hospital associated infections and for the prevention of outbreaks,” the WHO said.

They won’t let anyone give them water.

This is a weapon.

Australia’s most decorated living war veteran unlawfully killed prisoners and committed other war crimes in Afghanistan, a judge ruled Thursday in dismissing the claims by Victoria Cross recipient Ben Roberts-Smith that he was defamed by media.

Federal Court Justice Anthony Besanko ruled that the articles published in 2018 were substantially true about a number of war crimes committed by Roberts-Smith, a former Special Air Service Regiment corporal who now is a media company executive.

Besanko found Roberts-Smith, who was also awarded the Medal of Gallantry for his Afghanistan War service, “broke the moral and legal rules of military engagement” and disgraced Australia through his conduct.

The ruling is regarded as a significant win for press freedom against Australia’s extraordinarily restrictive defamation laws following a hard-fought trial over 110 court hearing days that is estimated to have cost more than 25 million Australian dollars ($16 million) in legal fees.

Proven allegations included that Roberts-Smith, the son of a judge, used a machine gun to shoot a prisoner with a prosthetic leg in the back at a Taliban compound codenamed Whiskey 108 in Uruzgan province in 2009. He kept the man’s prosthetic as a novelty beer drinking vessel.

If Australia were a sane society, this man would be king right now.

The man was one of two unarmed Afghans that Roberts-Smith’s patrol had dragged from a tunnel. Roberts-Smith pressured a “newly deployed and inexperienced” soldier to kill the second, older man to “blood the rookie,” the court found.

The proven accusations also included that Roberts-Smith killed an unarmed, handcuffed farmer named Ali Jan by kicking him from a cliff top and into a riverbed at the Afghan village of Darwan in 2012. Roberts-Smith then directed a soldier under his command to shoot Jan dead.

Also found to be true were accusations that Roberts-Smith, who stands 2.02 meters (6 feet, 7 inches) tall, bullied soldiers and assaulted Afghan civilians.

Yeah, well, – bullying and assault are part of war.

He didn’t start this war.

Two of six unlawful killings Roberts-Smith was accused of involvement in were not proven to the civil court standard of balance of probability, the judge found.

Reports of domestic violence allegedly committed by Roberts-Smith were also found to be unproven and defamatory. But the judge found the unproven allegations would not have further damaged the veteran’s reputation.

Had such war crime allegations been made in a criminal court, they would have had to be proven to a higher standard of beyond reasonable doubt.

Roberts-Smith, 44, had denied any wrongdoing. His lawyers blamed “corrosive jealousy” by “bitter people” within the SAS who had run a “poisonous campaign against him.”

The civil case made claims of defamation against The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Canberra Times over their articles.

Nick McKenzie, one of the reporters responsible for the contentious articles, praised the SAS veterans who had testified against the national hero.

“Today is a day of justice. It’s a day of justice for those brave men of the SAS who stood up and told the truth about who Ben Roberts-Smith is — a war criminal, a bully and a liar,” McKenzie told reporters outside court.

“Australia should be proud of those men in the SAS. They are the majority in the SAS and they stood up for what was right and they have been vindicated,” McKenzie added.

Roberts-Smith is one of several Australian military personnel under investigation from Australian Federal Police for alleged war crimes in Afghanistan.

The first criminal charge for an alleged illegal killing in Afghanistan was made in March. Former SAS trooper Oliver Schulz was charged with the war crime of murder in the death of an Afghan who was shot in 2012 in a wheat field in Uruzgan province.

Have soldiers do police work in a country where the enemies have no uniforms and strap themselves with explosives, then condemn them for “war crimes” when they do what’s necessary to not get blown up. Genius.

Australian Special Air Service Association chair Martin Hamilton-Smith described the ruling as a “very disappointing day” for the elite regiment. He said if more veterans were to be prosecuted for war crimes, they should be charged without delay.

“The only way you’ll get to the real truth of this is to get it into a criminal court where both sides of the story can be told and the facts established beyond reasonable doubt,” Hamilton-Smith said.

Roberts-Smith became a national hero in 2011 when he was awarded the Victoria Cross, Australia’s highest award recognizing gallantry in the presence of an enemy. He met Queen Elizabeth II several times as a distinguished Australian.

He was awarded the medal for attacking a machine gun nest during a battle at Tizak, Kandahar, in 2010. Roberts-Smith was credited with killing two machine-gunners and an insurgent about to launch a rocket grenade. No war crime allegations stem from that battle.

It’s the Jews that are pushing this “soldiers are evil for not being peaceful when we sent them to fight a war for us” narrative.

It’s insane.

Soldiers have never been held responsible for the decision of a government to go to war. Nothing this man did was an outrage. Shooting a prisoner is maybe not good, but it happens. Everyone knows it happens.

We don’t know this man actually did that. I don’t know how you could ever prove it.

Regardless: the war was stupid and pointless, manufactured by the Jews, but the solider is no less a hero for going and fighting under the premise that he was defending his country.

He should be celebrated, he should hold an honored status in society.

The only thing we can say: this can’t possibly go on forever.

You can’t just destroy everything good, punish and ruin every good man, and expect society to keep on functioning.

This is a repeat of various recent events involving human rights groups.

The UN initially said that the “gassing own people” hoaxes in Syria were hoaxes, then apologized, and said “oh no, it must be real, sorry.” The same thing happened with the UN and the shelling of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant that is under Russian control.

The Guardian:

A leaked internal review commissioned by Amnesty International is said to have concluded there were significant shortcomings in a controversial report prepared by the rights group that accused Ukraine of illegally endangering citizens by placing armed forces in civilian areas.

The report, issued last August, prompted widespread anger in Ukraine, leading to an apology from Amnesty and a promise of a review by external experts of what went wrong. Among those who condemned the report was Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who accused Amnesty of “shift[ing] the responsibility from the aggressor to the victim”.

Leaked to the New York Times, that unpublished review has concluded that the report was “written in language that was ambiguous, imprecise and in some respects legally questionable”, according to the newspaper.

In particular, the report’s authors were criticised for language that appeared to suggest “many or most of the civilian victims of the war died as a result of Ukraine’s decision to locate its forces in the vicinity of civilians” at a time when Russian forces were deliberately targeting civilians.

“This is particularly the case with the opening paragraphs, which could be read as implying – even though this was not AI’s intention – that, on a systemic or general level, Ukrainian forces were primarily or equally to blame for the death of civilians resulting from attacks by Russia.”

The Ukraine uses human shields as a key strategy. Maybe, “the key strategy.” No one can really refute that.

Saying “oh well, actually, they wouldn’t be using human shields if Russia didn’t invade, so it’s Russia’s fault they’re using human shields” is goofy and undermines the entire concept of war crimes and rules of engagement that these very international bodies have established.

It’s so funny that after a year, someone is forcing all of these international human rights organizations to come out and talking about the atrocities happening in the Ukraine.

RT:

The Ukrainian military injured scores of civilians when it fired thousands of illegal mines across the city of Izium last year, Human Rights Watch (HRW) has alleged. The mines, similar to those allegedly used by Ukraine against civilians in Donetsk, were found near schools and kindergartens.

The mines were fired into the city by rocket while it was occupied by Russian forces between April and September of last year, the NGO said in a report published on Tuesday. Dispersed hundreds at a time, the Soviet-era PFM mines are distinctively butterfly- or petal-shaped devices and are designed to maim rather than kill those unfortunate enough to step on them or pick them up.

The HRW team entered the city following Russia’s withdrawal in mid-September and found the mines in nine locations, including a school, and kindergarten, and a hospital.

Healthcare workers said that more than 50 civilians, including at least five children, were wounded by the mines. Around half of the injuries led to amputations of the foot or lower leg. At least one death was recorded, that of an elderly man who picked up one of the devices in his yard. However, investigators could not rule out other factors in the man’s death.

Some of the mines were fitted with timed fuses, and would explode without warning up to three days after being dispersed.

According to more than 100 residents, Russian forces attempted to warn locals of the danger posed by the Ukrainian mines, cleared some of the explosives, and transported victims to Russia for treatment. Once the Russians left Izium, demining duties were reportedly carried out by Ukrainian troops.

Use of such antipersonnel mines is prohibited under the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty, to which Ukraine is a signatory. The US and Russia are not parties to the treaty.

So:

• Is it the rank and file of HRW that were finally able to force the leadership to acknowledge atrocities?
• Or is this coming out on purpose as part of a plan to roll back this lunatic war?

It’s unclear, but it would fit into the perception that the US is preparing to start the big wind-down.

There are all kinds of moving parts here, and different people are coming up with different narratives. Yesterday, I heard Tucker Carlson say World War III is a definite and I heard most of the panel on All-In agree that the US appears to be maneuvering for a negotiated settlement.

What I’ve said is that I think a wind-down is probably the likeliest thing – especially after that RAND report that said the US is just burning resources that puts it in a worse place in terms of war with the Chinese.

I think the amount of tanks being sent, and what appears to be a really muddled program for servicing them, shows wavering commitment.

Meanwhile, Boris Johnson coming to America looks to me like an act of desperation by the pro-war forces. He’s still well-liked. Sending him in is a power-play that would only be necessary if serious doubt is festering.

Frankly, if I was a neocon, I would be demanding we pivot to China. RAND is right that there is zero to gain from continuing the war on Russia. The government is not going to collapse. That was the pitch: “we can do this quick with a small NATO force and some sanctions and Putin will be run out of office.” It was logical to give up when it was made clear that wasn’t happening. But there is mission creep and there is extreme Jewish hatred for Russians.

If they do a negotiated settlement, they can claim victory. Putin would probably at this point allow the Ukraine rump state to join NATO, as long as he got everything east of the river (including presumably Kharkov and Sumy). Americans are so stupid and fat they will believe it was a big victory, and resources can then go into planning this war with the Chinese.

A war with China is actually popular. Tucker Carlson supports it. I heard him last week say “well, we don’t actually want a war with China though,” but that was a response to me calling him out. He has Marco Rubio on to talk about China, he absolutely supports a war with China, the entire Ron DeSantis wing supports a war with China. They want to bring back the 1980s with China instead of Russia. They can actually organize people around hatred of China, whereas with Russia it’s not working.

But again: this would all assume these people can act rationally in their own interests, which has proved wrong before. So maybe they’re going to keep pushing. I don’t know and I’m not making a prediction. Maybe it’s 60-40 in favor of a pivot, but at this point we’re reading tea leaves.

Here’s how you’ll know: if they sent the fighter jets, they’re escalating. If they waver on that, we’re looking at a rollback.

Denis Kireev, Hohol hero.

I’m sure it was just an accident that they shot this guy in the back of the head and dumped his body on the public street and then claimed it was a Russian assassination.

It sounds like something anyone could do by accident.

The extrajudicial execution of Denis Kireev in March 2022 was due to a lack of coordination between security services, an aide to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on Thursday. Mikhail Podoliak was responding to a Wall Street Journal feature describing the 45-year-old banker as an asset of Ukrainian military intelligence, who supposedly helped save Kiev from Russian attack.

Kireev was killed on March 2 last year. His body was dumped on a Kiev sidewalk “with a bullet hole in the back of the skull,” according to the WSJ. Ukrainian media reported at the time that the country’s security service, the SBU, had “clear” evidence Kireev had committed high treason. The military intelligence, however, said he “died protecting Ukraine.”

The 45-year-old banker’s violent end was brought into the spotlight again by the WSJ, which interviewed Kireev’s relatives and associates, as well as the man he died working for – General Kirill Budanov, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence (GUR).

The banker was loyal to Kiev, raising funds for Ukrainian “volunteer brigades” fighting in Donbass after 2014, and “enjoyed playing the 007 role,” according to his friends and associates. Budanov said he had recruited Kireev in 2021 because of his business contacts with Russia, and received useful information from him for months before the conflict escalated.

“If it were not for Mr. Kireev, most likely Kiev would have been taken,” Budanov told the WSJ.

The GUR arranged for a hero’s burial and Zelensky posthumously gave Kireev a medal for “exceptional duty.” The WSJ also noted that the SBU leadership was purged in July 2022. During an interview with an Estonian outlet on Thursday, Podoliak commented on the WSJ story by blaming Kireev’s death on miscommunication.

“Those were the first days of the war. His killing is due to the fact that there was no unified coordination between security structures. There were certain claims against him, they did not have time to settle these claims in a dialogue format,” Zelensky’s aide said.

This is just like, the single kookiest news story I’ve ever read in my life.

Why are they doing assassinations against their own people in the first place?

How do they have the nerve to go out there and say this? Is it because they’re Jewish?

The Ukraine also assassinated about a dozen Western journalists and claimed Russia did that. Presumably, the truth of that will eventually come to light as well.
