The United States on Tuesday imposed sanctions on what it said was a key international fundraiser for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which Washington has designated a terrorist organization.

The U.S. Treasury Department, in action taken with Canada, said in a statement it imposed sanctions on the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, accusing it of being “a sham charity that serves as an international fundraiser” for the PFLP.

The PFLP, which has also taken part in the fight against Israel in Gaza, was designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the U.S. in October 1997 and October 2001, respectively.

The Treasury said PFLP uses Samidoun to fundraise in Europe and North America. The group’s activities were banned by Germany last year.

“Organizations like Samidoun masquerade as charitable actors that claim to provide humanitarian support to those in need, yet in reality divert funds for much-needed assistance to support terrorist groups,” Treasury’s acting under secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, Bradley Smith, said in the statement.

The Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network did not respond immediately to a Reuters request for comment.

A member of the PFLP’s leadership abroad was also targeted with sanctions on Tuesday.

Canada announced the listing of Samidoun as a terrorist entity on Tuesday. “Violent extremism, acts of terrorism or terrorist financing have no place in Canadian society or abroad,” Canadian Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said in a statement announcing the listing.

The US is planning to ban certain hardware and software made in China and Russia from cars, trucks and buses in the US due to security risks.

Officials said they were worried that the technology in question, used for autonomous driving and to connect cars to other networks, could allow enemies to “remotely manipulate cars on American roads”.

There is currently minimal use of Chinese or Russia-made software in American cars.

But Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said the plans were “targeted, proactive” steps to protect the US.

It sounds more like they’re trying to preemptively ban imports of Chinese cars – which naturally contain Chinese electronics – than to ban Chinese parts in American cars.

They are just throwing Russia in there to make it seem like a war-related effort.

“Cars today have cameras, microphones, GPS tracking, and other technologies connected to the internet,” she said in a statement.

“It doesn’t take much imagination to understand how a foreign adversary with access to this information could pose a serious risk to both our national security and the privacy of US citizens.”

Chinese officials said the US was broadening “the concept of national security” to unfairly target Chinese firms.

“China opposes the US’s broadening of the concept of national security and the discriminatory actions taken against Chinese companies and products,” said Lin Jian, spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement.

“We urge the US side to respect market principles and provide an open, fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises.”

Yeah, the US claimed that globalism was their first principle, that they wanted a global marketplace for goods. Then all of a sudden they started losing badly, and began crying about their own rules.

The proposal, which will now enter a comment period, is the latest from the White House aiming to limit China’s presence in the car manufacturing supply chain.

The White House has also raised tariffs on electric cars, batteries for electric vehicle and a range of other items.It has separately banned the import of Chinese-made cargo cranes, warning of cyber-security risk.

The US launched an investigation in February examining the cyber risks from so-called connected cars.

The prohibitions on software would go into effect with model year 2027, while the hardware rules would be effective three years later, giving the industry more time to re-work their supply chains.

Only 36 percent of Americans are confident about the value of a college education, a confidence level that has declined from 57 percent in 2015. Most Americans, meanwhile, say they believe higher education in the U.S. is headed in the “wrong direction.”

A mere 36 percent of adults say they have a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in higher education, the results of a recent poll conducted by Gallup and the Lumina Foundation found, according to a report by Associated Press.

“What’s shocking to me is that the people who have low or no confidence is actually increasing,” Courtney Brown, vice president of the education nonprofit Lumina, said.

Notably, confidence in the U.S. higher education system is even slipping among those who answered that they felt good about it, as fewer Americans said they have “some” confidence, with more answering “very little” and “none” than the previous year.

As many people have little or no confidence (32 percent) as those with high confidence, according to this year’s poll results.

While diminishing confidence in the U.S. higher education system was found among all demographics — such as sex, age, and political affiliation — Republican respondents saw a drop in 36 percentage points over the last decade, which was a much farther decline than Democrat or Independent respondents.

The survey also asked questions in an attempt to get a better understanding as to why confidence is dwindling.

Nearly one-third of respondents answered that the cost of a college degree is “too expensive,” while 24 percent said they believe students are not being properly educated or taught the skills they need in order to succeed in the workforce.

While the survey did not ask about the recent pro-Hamas protests transpiring on college campuses across the country, respondents expressed concerns about indoctrination, political bias, and schools being too liberal, with 41 percent of those who lack confidence in higher education citing political agendas as a reason.

More than two-thirds of respondents (67 percent) also say college is headed in the “wrong direction,” compared with just 31 percent who answered that they believe it is going in the right direction.

Russia will assess the damage done to its economy by Western sanctions and demand restitution at some point down the road, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said.

Commenting on the latest batch of restrictions imposed on Moscow by Washington last week, the official, who currently serves as deputy chair of the Russian Security Council, claimed that the West is waging a “war without rules” on Russia.

The US has sanctioned more than 4,000 Russian individuals and companies since February 2022, when the Ukraine conflict began. The EU, UK, Canada, Japan, and several other nations have also imposed similar restrictions on Russia.

On Monday, Medvedev said that Moscow was going to “be evaluating [the damage done] so as to be able to demand [compensation from] the countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia.”

He suggested that “one could start systematizing and evaluating the damage done to countries [that have] suffered from sanctions adopted in circumvention of the UN Security Council.” The former Russian head of state added that quite a significant number of nations would be subject to potential claims and that a “register of losses inflicted by crimes of the colonial epoch and neo-colonialism” would likely be necessary to get this process off the ground.

There are people in the Russian government who have wanted to up the ante since the beginning. There were maximalists who wanted to shift into a war economy immediately after the Maidan and then invade the Ukraine with overwhelming force as soon as possible, which would have been 2019ish. But so-called “cooler heads” kept prevailing, and you eventually ended up with the symbolic invasion of 2022.

But now, it’s become impossible for anyone in Moscow to claim that this war is anything other than existential, and everyone has to accept that the US appears to be trying to turn it into a much bigger and longer war.

The US got what they wanted.

No one really knows why they wanted that.

This whole “immigration is good for the economy” thing is totally based on useless data.

Basically, they say that white immigration was good for America economically, which is true, then say that all immigration is good for everyone.

The original Mexicans who came to America were in a sense “good for the economy” in that they boosted it in the short term. But that was a very short term. In the longer run, it lowered wages, and now the kids of the immigrants just live on welfare and commit crimes like the blacks.

Mexican immigration being “good for the economy” is like saying shooting fentanyl “cures depression.”

If mass brown immigration was actually good for the economy, there would be people in China writing about it. I don’t think the Chinese would do it, because as much as they love money, they are nationalists. But there would be some university paper where a professor outlines the potential economic benefits of bringing in a bunch of brown people to live on welfare and commit crime.

“Why? Because we welcome immigrants,” Biden said. “Look, think about it. Why is China stalling so badly economically? Why is Japan having trouble? Why is Russia? Why is India? Because they’re xenophobic. They don’t want immigrants.”

The president added: “Immigrants are what makes us strong. Not a joke. That’s not hyperbole, because we have an influx of workers who want to be here and want to contribute.”

Fun fact: aside from Japan, all of those countries he mentioned are predicted to have much higher economic growth than the US this year, even Russia.

And Japan’s economic growth might be almost non-existent, but it’s still a much nicer place to live in than any part of America.

At issue are China’s exports of machine tools, microelectronics, optics, and other products that could be used to make weapons amid the conflict in Ukraine. US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen issued a similar warning when she visited China earlier this month.

Regardless of the factuality of that idiom, China can’t strengthen ties with Europe if Europe doesn’t want to strengthen ties. What this means is that Europeans are preparing, like the Chinese are preparing, for an end to US hegemony.

The US is telling Europe to stop strengthening relations with the Chinese, and Europe is still doing it. That gnarly cunt Ursula – a US shill – is going around demanding everyone obey mommy and stop strengthening relations with China, and no one is listening. The bitch was so bold as to try to change the term “decoupling” to “de-risking.”

German men were like “mein trollop, it sounds to me like you are talking about de-moneying.”

The reaction to gay sex, and in particular the US-Jewish agenda to push gay sex on children, is so visceral, that it is maybe even more influential than money for a lot of countries. You can imagine it on the personal level: how much money would you pay for you son not to be gay? The answer for most men is “all of it.”

However, it has become clear that the US has zero interest in anyone making any money. Obviously, they enrich a small international cartel. The Jews always make money (I would actually say they “take money” – they don’t actually make anything), and they will throw some scraps to the corrupt democracy leaders they install in various countries, but in terms of “becoming a wealthy nation,” this is not on the table anymore if you’re aligned with the US.

Germany is facing deindustrialization because the US has forced them into this nonsensical and fully sadistic war with Russia. The US literally blew up their gas pipes in the biggest act of industrial terrorism in history. But along with screwing over rich people who own factories and so on, the US is the one pushing for the end of European agriculture. Everyone in Europe understands that all of this global warming gibberish from the UN is actually from the US. It’s common sense. Why would the Netherlands want to destroy their own agricultural sector? Who does it benefit?

The US-Jewish empire is telling all of the people in Europe – beyond a small cartel of people in Brussels and London – that they have to sacrifice all of their wealth in order to fight endless ideological wars to force everyone on earth to engage in man-on-man anal.

Meanwhile, China is like “we are just trying to make money.” Europe may ask: “Yeah? And what else?” and the Chinese reply: “no, it’s just the one thing. Just money.”

Chinese culture is very alien to white people, and it’s therefore easy to portray them as somehow suspicious in media designed for landless Fatmerican plebs. But when we’re talking about serious adult men, everyone understands “we just want to make money.”

When it comes down to it, the only thing the US can do in response to this situation is call people evil and then threaten to kill them. But can they kill everyone?

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said “the U.S. is on an unsustainable fiscal path” in a “60 Minutes” interview with Scott Pelley released Sunday.

“The U.S. federal government’s on an unsustainable fiscal path. And that just means that the debt is growing faster than the economy. So, it is unsustainable. I don’t think that’s at all controversial,” Powell said when asked if the national debt is a danger to the economy.

The U.S. national debt topped $34 trillion for the first time ever in early January, just over three months after surpassing the $33 trillion mark, according to data released by the U.S. Treasury.

Congress has punted on spending deadlines three times since the end of September as it grapples with how to fund the government amid tensions about the ballooning national debt.

Under the latest stopgap measure passed in January, funding for four federal agencies will expire on March 1. Funding for the rest of the government is set to run out on March 8.

President Biden and House Republicans faced off on the borrowing limit last spring, ultimately averting disaster days before the U.S. was set to default. But Fitch Ratings downgraded the U.S. credit rating from “AAA” to “AA+” in August, citing the increasing burden of the national debt and repeated partisan standoffs over the debt limit.

A man who falsely claimed to be a deal-making billionaire rabbi astrologer has been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison for defrauding a close friend and a widow with four children, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing court documents.

According to the report, Russell Dwayne Lewis used “increasingly fantastical and outrageous lies” including allegedly making a phony $290 million bid to buy the department store Lord & Taylor.

The 57-year-old concocted his schemes using a number of aliases and stolen identities. Prosecutors claimed Lewis stole the identity of a man named Clifford Getz, used the Social Security number of a 13-year-old boy in Ohio and forged a passport.

A high-school graduate from Texas, Lewis claimed he had grown up in London, and that he had earned a Ph.D. in theoretical mathematics and statistics as well as master’s degrees in neurophysics, genetics and quantum physics. He also falsely claimed that he was a rabbi.

The conman bragged that he was worth $10 billion, $18 billion and even $30 billion, depending on whom he was talking to. He reportedly told victims that he ran a secretive family investment firm, Neviim Equity, out of offices in Beverly Hills, California.

Lewis also variously claimed to have worked for the Central Intelligence Agency, the US Secret Service and the Los Angeles Police Department. Among the made-up stories was one that he used astrological charts to help pick the jury for the 1995 O.J. Simpson double-murder trial.

Lewis was arrested in August and accused of faking a $290 million bid in bankruptcy court for America’s oldest department store chain Lord & Taylor, which had gone under in 2020. Prosecutors said that the bid resulted in ‘weeks of due diligence processes, legal discussions, and negotiations’ and cost the business thousands of dollars. Lewis reportedly never profited from the deal and so the charge in relation to Lord & Taylor was dropped under his plea agreement with prosecutors.
