Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday slammed British daily The Times for justifying the assassination of Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, who headed Russia’s Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Defense Forces. Medvedev criticized the editors as “lousy jackals” who are part of a hybrid war against Russia.

In an article on Tuesday, the UK outlet claimed that its sources within Ukraine’s security services admitted responsibility for the general’s assassination. It went on to describe the incident as “a legitimate act of defense by a threatened nation.”

“It’s impossible to ignore the editorial published in The Times, where the bastards called the terrorist attack on Igor Kirillov and his assistant a ‘legitimate act of defense’,” Medvedev, who currently serves as deputy head of the Russian Security Council, said in a Telegram post.

“All NATO decision-makers from countries that provided military assistance to Bandera Ukraine are participating in a hybrid or conventional war against Russia… All these individuals can and should be considered legitimate military targets for the Russian state,” Medvedev said, adding that the people “who committed crimes against Russia” always have accomplices, including in the media.

“And they, too, are now legitimate military targets. These may include the lousy jackals from The Times, who cowardly hid behind an editorial… So, be careful! After all, a lot can happen in London,” he warned.

If Russia starts assassinating journalists, that will be very hilarious.

They probably won’t do that, but just threatening to do it is hilarious.

I think this is the first time a government threatened to start assassinating foreign journalist. A lot of countries have done that, especially the Ukraine, but I don’t think any top government official has ever said they should start doing that.

The Ukrainian military has launched multiple US-made ATACMS missiles at Russia’s Bryansk Region, some of which have been intercepted, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.

US President Joe Biden reportedly authorized the use of American-supplied weapons for strikes deep inside Russia last week. Moscow had previously said that long-range strikes with Western weapons would constitute a direct war between NATO and Russia.

According to the statement, Kiev fired six long-range ballistic missiles identified as ATACMS early on Tuesday morning. Five of them were intercepted with S-400 and Pantsir air defense systems, while another was damaged and hit the ground at a Russian military site in Bryansk Region, causing a fire that was quickly dealt with. The Russian military claimed that no damage was caused by the incident.

The ball is in Russia’s court now.


Russia said that this means that they are at war with NATO, and it’s up to them to decide whether or not they’re going to declare war against NATO.

Probably, they will not escalate that quickly, but we are now on a ladder of escalation. The Biden people have plenty of time before Trump takes over to really create a massive mess.

Britain is expected to supply Storm Shadow missiles for use by Ukraine on targets inside Russia, now that the US president, Joe Biden, has agreed to do the same for the similar American long-range Atacms weapon.

Keir Starmer, the prime minister, said at the G20 summit that the UK recognised it needed to “double down” on its support for Ukraine, while diplomatic sources briefed they expected other European countries to follow the US lead.

The prime minister said that, while he was “not going to get into operational details”, he recognised the need to do more to help Ukraine, whose electricity network was seriously damaged by a wave of Russian bombing on Sunday.

“I’ve been really clear for a long time now, we need to double down. We need to make sure Ukraine has what is necessary for as long as necessary, because we cannot allow Putin to win this war,” the prime minister said.

No one can say the Ukraine is not going to lose, no one even makes that claim at all anymore, so the entire purpose of this is to cause some kind of expansion of the war.

Russia, however, accused the west of escalation and said that Biden risked adding “fuel to the fire” in Ukraine, and while Donald Trump remained silent on the issue, his son Don Jr accused the military industrial complex of wanting to get “world war three going”.

Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, accused the US of escalation. “It is clear that the outgoing administration in Washington intends to take steps to continue to add fuel to the fire and to further inflame tensions around this conflict.” He added: “This decision is reckless, dangerous, aimed at a qualitative change, a qualitative increase in the level of involvement of the United States.”

Peskov said Putin had expressed his position clearly in September when the Russian leader warned that the move to let Kyiv use longer-range weapons against targets inside Russia would mean Nato would be directly “at war” with Moscow.

They’re already directly at war with Moscow, with US weapons and armor being used to invade Kursk.

Arguably, they were at war with Russia before even the 2022 invasion, with American trained and armed neo-Nazis slaughtering people in the Donbass.

Putin had said Moscow would “take the appropriate decisions based on the threats that we will face” and previously suggested Moscow could supply long-range weapons to other countries with the aim of attacking western targets.

Jean-Noël Barrot, France’s foreign minister, said that the country’s president, Emmanuel Macron, had already said Paris was open to consider greenlighting the use of its missiles to strike on Russian soil. Storm Shadow missiles are manufactured by MBDA, a company with UK, French and Italian shareholders.

Germany is set to deliver 4,000 AI-controlled kamikaze drones to Ukraine, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has announced. The drones, dubbed ‘mini-Taurus’ in a reference to Berlin’s long-range cruise missiles, are reportedly immune to jamming and other disabling measures.

Speaking at an event in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, Pistorius said the weapons can “put the enemy’s electronic drone defense out of action” and simply “fly around it,” as quoted by Die Welt. The drones can reach 30 or 40 kilometers “into the hinterland and then attack command posts, logistical hubs and other things,” he added, calling them “an important additional asset” for Ukraine’s forces.

Bild newspaper reported earlier on Monday that the software company Helsing had signed a contract for the delivery of the HX-2 Karma drones with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in September, with the project to be financed by Germany’s federal government.

The Russian capital is repelling a major Ukrainian drone attack, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has said.

At least 32 incoming UAVs were shot down early on Sunday by air defenses near the towns of Domodedovo, Ramenskoye and Kolomna to the south east of Moscow, Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.

Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyev also said a “massive drone attack” was underway and that air defenses continue to operate across the region.

In Ramenskoye disctrict, a UAV went down in the village of Stanovoye, setting two homes on fire. A 52-year-old woman was injured by shrapnel and hospitalized with burns to her face, neck and arms, the governor said on Telegram.

Several videos have been posted on social media, appearing to show fixed-wing drones being shot down over the Moscow Region. There is also footage of a blaze in Stanovoye, which shows several private homes being almost completely destroyed by the flames.

Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky international airports have announced suspension of their operations due to the drone raid.

The governor of Orel Region, Andery Klychkov, has said eight UAVs were destroyed over the region on Sunday morning. There have so far been no reports of casualties or damage, he added.

The other reason they would choose now to do this is that they know Moscow is waiting to see what Trump is going to do, so possibly won’t respond bigly for this attack.

Russia doesn’t like killing innocent people in Kiev. Russia has tried very hard to not kill civilians. Hohols kill their own civilians and Russians whenever possible.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy told the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday that the war between Russia and Ukraine cannot be calmed by talks alone, but that Moscow must be forced into peace.

Zelenskiy has sought the support of Western leaders for what he calls a “victory plan” to end the war that began when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of his country in February 2022.

He doesn’t have a plan.

He’s calling for unconditional surrender, which a losing nation has never done in history. The United States and Russia demanded unconditional surrender from Germany only after it was effectively impossible for Germany to win the war, and their goal was to permanently enslave the German people under the Jew yoke.

The Ukraine has consistently lost the war for nearly three years, while Zelensky has maintained the demand of “unconditional surrender.” His backers are now apparently opening the door to negotiations, so he’s going out and reaffirming that he wants none of it.

Zelenskiy said the war would end one day but not because “someone got tired of the war” or through a trade with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a reference to proposals that Ukraine cede some territory seized by Russia to settle the conflict.

“This war can’t be calmed by talks. Action is needed,” Zelenskiy said, thanking nations who have provided Ukraine support.

“Putin has broken so many international norms and rules that he won’t stop on his own, Russia can only be forced into peace, and that is exactly what’s needed, forcing Russia into peace, as the sole aggressor in this war, the sole violator of the U.N. Charter,” Zelenskiy said.

Zelenskiy has said that if his plan is backed by the West, it will have a broad impact on Moscow, including a psychological one that could help compel Putin to end the war diplomatically.

Zelenskiy has said very little so far about his victory plan except that it would act as a bridge to a second Ukraine-led summit on peace that Kyiv wants to hold and invite Russia to later this year.

If this is how he wanted to keep playing his cards, he should have thought of that before he invaded Kursk. That was an unforced error that really sped up the timeline on how much longer he can keep going with this scam war.

He was never going to win. That was always ridiculous and goofy. But he could have kept it rolling for another year or so if he’d not sabotaged his entire war effort by sending his best people to invade Russia for literally no reason.
