The truck driver who ran over vegan activist Regan Russell outside a Canadian slaughterhouse has pleaded guilty to careless driving causing death.

In a video appearance in court, Andrew Blake was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine. He also received a 12-month probation period, during which time he will only be able to drive for work, or to and from his job. According to reports, the Crown lawyer stated that there would have been a “very reasonable” possibility of acquittal if the case had gone to trial.

The incident took place on June 19, 2020. Russell, 65, an animal rights activist, was hit by a truck and killed during a vigil outside a pig slaughterhouse in the west of Toronto.

He called the police and remained stopped at a traffic light intersection for over four minutes. During this time, the demonstrators were feeding the pigs water.

Once the driveway was clear and the light was green, Blake is said to have turned into the plant through a lane of traffic. Russell reportedly stepped into the driveway, and her body was dragged several feet before the truck stopped.

According to local news, the Crown and defense lawyer both agreed that Blake should have known Russell was standing near the driveway when he turned into the slaughterhouse. There was no evidence, however, to suggest that the driver intentionally hit the activist.

Speaking in court, Russell’s elderly father Bill Russell spoke about feeling a “sharp stab” when dusting old photographs of his daughter, or hearing her voice on an answering machine. Her husband stated that he was “quite lost without her.”

Yeah, well, that happens when you kids die. It’s not a pleasant experience.

Maybe you should have taught your son not to block the road like a retard? Maybe you should stop blaming other people for your own failings?

Ford Motor Co. is facing a potential $1.7 billion in punitive damages after a Georgia jury reached a verdict Friday in a case involving a 2014 rollover of a Ford F-250 pickup truck that left two people dead.

The Gwinnett County jury determined that damages should be imposed on Ford for selling 5.2 million Super Duty trucks with what plaintiffs’ attorneys said were dangerously weak roofs that could crush passengers in a rollover accident, according to James Butler, a lawyer representing the plaintiffs in the case.

No one who flips a truck has a reasonable expectation of surviving, unless the truck is advertised to be capable of rolling, like for example a Jeep. The F-250 is simply too heavy for really any roof to be able to survive a flip, so if you’re too fat or too tall to get pushed onto the floor, you’re definitely going to die, and it’s not Ford’s fault.

This ruling is so silly that it seems like they are putting out this ruling just to harm the court system, to make it more ridiculous and unfair.

Far from trying to maintain order, the US government appears hellbent on destroying order in the country.

The easiest way for people to lose all faith in the government, and to feel like there is no reason to follow the law, is to make it clear that the court system is completely corrupt, and you have no chance of getting fair treatment by the law.

No one could possibly trust the US legal system for anything at this point, and there is no way to fix it. Like, no mechanism exists to fix a totally corrupt court system, other than revolution.

It’s part of why the Founding Fathers wrote all that stuff about how people were going to have to eventually violently overthrow the government.

Going back and turning a Ford F-100 into an electric car is actually very similar to making Superman gay.

In a “Back to the Future” sort of move, Ford Motor Co. has electrified a formerly gas-powered F-Series pickup from the 1970s.

It is a 1978 Ford F-100 pickup with a battery-electric powertrain and twin front and rear electric traction motors.

“480 horsepower. Zero emissions. It’s totally (expletive) bonkers,” Mike Levine, Ford North America product communications director, told the Free Press.

If Ford had built its new all-electric F-150 Lightning in 1978, this could have been it, he said.

Jews celebrated when they took over Ford, a company started by infamous anti-Semite and Christian hero Henry Ford, who wrote a book about these sickening and evil rats.

Maybe this is the beginning of a trend of re-releasing older cars.

The new Bronco (not electric!) looked very cool until I saw it on the road, then it looked like a cutesy woman’s car. But it still looks much better than basically anything else made in the last oh, four decades.

It would make the environment so much less oppressive if the cars were not so ugly. Of course, the buildings would still be ugly. And the women would still be fat and ugly.

In a completely insane event on Thursday in Silicon Valley, Elon Musk presented Tesla’s completely insane looking pickup truck.

I haven’t seen something this weird in weeks.

Firstly, Musk himself is a freak, who appears to be on some kind of drugs, or possibly has Asperger’s syndrome or something. He has inexplicable mannerisms and patterns of speech.

I don’t even know what to say about the way this vehicle looks.

It’s literally called “The Cybertruck.”

So this nutjob rolls the thing out on stage, starts talking about all of the features, and does a weird David Copperfield style magic show thing where he has a guy hit the car with a sledgehammer. Then he does a trick where he drops a metal ball on the glass that is allegedly used to make the windows.

Then he has a guy toss a metal ball at the window, and it breaks. So then he throws it at the other window, and that also breaks.

So the silly bastard is standing there talking about the rest of the features of the car, in front of the car that has both its windows cracked.

How does something like this happen? This company is worth billions of dollars. How did they not know the metal ball would break the windows?

I thought it was part of the bit when it first happened. I thought maybe he was going to bring out a full crew of people in magician’s assistant costumes and destroy the entire vehicle in order to prove that it was a lot of work to destroy it. That would have made more sense.

I recommend people watch the video, just because it is so weird.

There are so many completely bizarre things happening these days, that it’s hard to even catalog it all.

But this was really like: wat? 

A human trafficker somehow killed off an entire shipment of (presumably) Turkish/Syrian/Kurdish migrants that he had managed to smuggle in from Bulgaria. They may have been dead before they crossed the border, actually – we just don’t know.

But those are rookie numbers. There are thousands of migrants entering Europe every day!

These truck drivers need to get them UP! UP! UP!

A murder investigation has been launched after 39 people were found dead in a truck at Waterglade Industrial Park in Grays, Essex, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the site at around 1.40am BST to discover the 39 victims in a truck container. A 25 year-old man from Northern Ireland has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police confirmed.

Chief Superintendent Andrew Mariner said: “We believe the lorry is from Bulgaria and entered the country at Holyhead [Wales] on Saturday 19 October…We have arrested the lorry driver in connection with the incident who remains in police custody as our enquiries continue.”

Early indications suggest 38 are adults and one a teenager. A police cordon has been set up and access to and from the Waterglade Industrial Park remains closed.

You know what would have prevented this tragedy though, right?

And this was all really the tragic result of both Global Warming and a toxic system of White Supremacy when you think about it. I know I haven’t.

I’m still thinking about how Euro Truck Simulator 2 needs to have a “Trafficker” mod that allows you to really experience the versatility that driving a truck in the EU affords you. The latest Moslem Driver DLC really helped round out the experience, imho.

I hope they get to work on it soon because people are dying. If they don’t include a tutorial on how to poke holes into the container stuffed with people, the truck drivers just aren’t going to be able to figure it out themselves.

Dubbed the Gladiator, Jeep’s Wrangler pickup is extremely cool, smartly designed and incredibly capable. It feels more modern and well-executed than anything else in the segment, but the best midsize truck is also the most expensive one.

I don’t think it is cool…

A truck has ploughed into crowds celebrating France’s national day in a terror attack – killing at least 30 people and injuring 100 injured.

The truck rammed into the crowd on the Promenade des Anglais seaside walk in the centre of town, regional newspaper Nice Matin reported, citing its own reporter at the scene.

Witnesses said the truck mounted the pavement and a video shows the vehicle mowing people down as they fled.

The driver has been shot dead by police and windows of the truck are peppered with bullet holes.

Between 30 to 50 people have been killed, French TV channel BFM TV said.
