Interesting clip of what the Chinese are saying about the TikTok ban… 🤔 pic.twitter.com/xlAl1FwPuM

— James Li (@5149jamesli) January 19, 2025

All over Chinese media, the Chinese were saying that the reason the US tried to ban TikTok is that the US is controlled by the Jews.

This is a very big topic of discussion in China. They have university classes explaining that the US is totally controlled by the Jews, and showing all the proof.

My website is very popular in China.

Anti-Sinoism on the American right is a sickening cancer, pushed by the worst kikes like Ben Shapiro.

Donald Trump is at least making an effort to be cool with the Chinese, though it’s obviously impossible that he has that power. But it just speaks to the absurdity of the fact that so many “conservative” Americans are fixated on hating the one country that is capable of creating a future humans would actually want to live in.

Obviously, the reason conservatives are so aggressive in hating the Chinese is because they are stupid and brainwashed by goofy propaganda. If you listen to these people, they just rattle off complete nonsense about “social credit,” which is a hoax, and “communism,” another hoax. The data is all available, but these people are just so dumb they can easily be manipulated by goofy media into hating and wanting war with people who should be a natural ally of oppressed peoples in America.

Americans are so fat, they actually think America has a better standard of living than China. It’s unbelievable. You show them videos of China and they say they’re fake, that China is secretly poor somehow.

They see a country where you can openly talk about the Jews, and then what do they say? Do they go full Ben Shapiro? Probably!

We’ll see what Trump’s stated plan for TikTok actually turns out to be. If he calls for total Chinese divestment, that is clearly a sign that the US is ramping up for a war.

Everything looks like the US is getting prepared for a war with China.

I think it will probably take a form more like the Ukraine war, some kind of limited thing, but they are swarming the South China Sea, they are arranging everything in a manner that makes it clear they are preparing for war.

Honestly, I don’t think Trump wants that, and he might push back on it, but he has no ability to prevent it. As we saw with the first Trump presidency, his powers are very limited.

STATEMENT FROM TIKTOK:

In agreement with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring service. We thank President Trump for providing the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will face no penalties providing TikTok to over 170…

— TikTok Policy (@TikTokPolicy) January 19, 2025

This is what I said would happen.

There was no way they were going to actually ban TikTok. I said this at the beginning when Biden first made this move: they were playing chicken with the Chinese, trying to force them into selling. The Chinese are smarter than the US Congress, and they understood that no one in the government is ready to be this obvious about tyrannical government censorship.

It’s so funny they actually thanked Trump.

Reuters:

TikTok said on Sunday it was restoring its service after President-elect Donald Trump said he would revive the app’s access in the U.S. when he returns to power on Monday.

“As a result of president Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S.,” the platform said in a message to users.

TikTok also issued an earlier statement after U.S. users reported being able to access the Chinese-owned service’s website while the far more widely used TikTok app itself began coming back online for some users with just a few basic services.

“In agreement with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring service,” TikTok said in the earlier statement that also thanked Trump for “providing the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will face no penalties (for) providing TikTok to over 170 million Americans and allowing over 7 million small businesses to thrive.”

…

TikTok stopped working for U.S. users late on Saturday before a law shutting it down on national security grounds took effect on Sunday. U.S. officials had warned that under Chinese parent company ByteDance, there was a risk of Americans’ data being misused.

Trump said he would “extend the period of time before the law’s prohibitions take effect, so that we can make a deal to protect our national security.”

“I would like the United States to have a 50% ownership position in a joint venture,” he wrote on Truth Social.

I think it’s already beyond that. Sometimes these things are difficult to figure out definitively when you have a foreign company and you don’t know exactly how it’s structured, but what I’ve read is that 60% of ByteDance is owned by “international investors,” many of whom are definitely American. There are three American board members.

The whole “Chinese company” thing comes from the fact that the Chinese government owns a 1% stake, known as the “Golden Share.” This is a Chinese system that allows the government to make decisions about the company, and all of the investors must respect this.

Despite the fact that fat American retards can’t understand that the word “communism” means something different in Chinese, China is a free market economy, and I have an will continue to argue that the lack of regulation in China makes it a much freer market than the US market. It’s a long story and you can find my articles about it, but China puts virtually no regulation on small businesses, really at all, while with big corporations the government owns a stake (usually the 1% “Golden Share”) and regulates them to prevent abuse. The US effectively has the opposite system, where small businesses are completely crushed under tyrannical regulations and big businesses control the government through the campaign finance system.

You can ask yourself which you think is more free. It’s not a hard question for me, but a lot of fat people in America, usually enjoyers of “nigger ball-chucking,” think it is very important that mega-corporations be allowed to operate with impunity. If you bring up the fact that small businesses are crushed under regulation, they just blame Democrats. However, the reason small businesses are crushed is that the big businesses control the government, and want to crush small businesses. This is why Jeff Bezos along with many other heads of big companies lobby for extreme minimum wage laws, along with “health and safety” and “environmental” horseshit, as well as tax schemes that punish small businesses. The single biggest factor in the whole US economy is immigration, which all big businesses push for while it crushes everyone who isn’t extremely wealthy.

But I digress.

Trump is being very kind to the Chinese by setting a standard that is already met, and I think this is probably because even with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and the rest of the owners of social media companies coming out and saying they’re for free speech, he doesn’t really trust them and therefore wants TikTok to be around to counterbalance these American censorship companies.

But again, it can’t be banned. It would just not be feasible. Chuck Schumer was out there with Trump trying to stop the ban, because he knew Trump would blame the Democrats and it would just look completely ridiculous for the US government to ban what is by several metrics the most popular app in the country.

The fact that people were migrating to Rednote and seeing that America is a complete shithole didn’t help things either.

See: With TikTok Ban Impending, US Users are Flooding Chinese App Rednote

The trend towards free speech is real. It’s just a matter of how far it is going to go.

I’m still banned from Twitter, as you know. I may attempt to join Zuckerberg’s “Threads” at some point in the future.

Initially, I was thinking about trying to make a new Twitter account after the inauguration, but after the Laura Loomer thing and then Asmongold, it is clearly just a waste of time.

But “Threads” could be interesting?

It’s at least a test. I’m the single most banned person in all of human history, so it would be interesting to test.

It’s Surreal Seeing Fat American Retards Find Out China is a Much Better Country Than America https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/18/its-surreal-seeing-fat-american-retards-find-out-china-is-a-much-better-country-than-america/ Sat, 18 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

It’s so funny that this TikTok ban led people to Xiaohongshu (being called “Rednote” by Americans), where they are finding out that China is actually a much better country than America.

Watch this:

This one is hilarious:

I mean, it’s sort of sad, but it’s so, so funny to me.

You can find many videos like this.

I think my pro-Chinese agenda might finally be on track after all these years.

Having visited China for the first time nearly 20 years ago, it has mostly just been confusing to talk to Americans who claim that Chinese people are oppressed and they’re slaves and so on. Sam Hyde even said this in his viral video about the H-1B scheme. The fact that China is a much better country than America by literally any possible metric you could come up with is like the one thing you’re not allowed to know, somehow. I have struggled to explain to people these issues regarding women, but I’ve made a lot of progress. The China thing is something else altogether.

With regards to this “slave” thing: that was never true. What was true was that when China had its industrial revolution, the working conditions were not great. Anyone can feel free to list off the countries that had great working conditions during their industrial revolutions. Please, feel free.

It’s not any kind of secret in China that a lot of poor people didn’t have a very good time at work during the 1980s and 90s. No one denies that. But that period of their history is long over. Now, you get off the plane in Shanghai, and you feel like you just landed 200 years in the future. It’s incredible.

People who are seeing real China for the first time on Rednote are talking about how people are so happy, how they’re doing so well materially, how advanced and beautiful everything is. If you list off all the problems you have with America, you will find that none of those things are a problem in China. It’s just a better country, period.

Frankly, this issue being exposed is probably the single worst thing that could have happened to the American ruling class. People have to ask why it is that America is such a shithole if a country where people were living in bamboo huts in rice fields a few decades ago is now a futuristic society of abundance.

Why do we have all these foreigners? Why do we have all these homeless people and junkies? Why do we have these brutal cops? Why is everyone struggling financially? If it is actually incompetence and not corruption, that is in fact worse, although there is no real explanation as to how anyone could be this incompetent, which means we are being abused.

Here are some more videos worth watching.

This Rednote Thing Won’t Last Forever

China is not going to want Americans coming onto their platform and spreading the disease of Americanism to their people.

Right now, they’re just banning gays and obvious feds and so on.

They’re coming at it very innocently, as they come at most things, being very friendly and releasing PSAs for American users.

But they’re soon going to realize that American culture is more severe than just homosexuality. People in this country are completely ruined, and their “culture” is a virus that you don’t want your people to be exposed to.

The US is also going to flip out and censor this, because this is literally the last thing they want the American people being aware of.

But hey – it proves again that I’m right about everything.

With TikTok Ban Impending, US Users are Flooding Chinese App Rednote https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/17/with-tiktok-ban-impending-us-users-are-flooding-chinese-app-rednote/ Fri, 17 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

This really highlights the problem.

The reason people use TikTok is because Chinese products are better than American products. When it comes to social media, the apps are designed better and they have more freedom of speech.

The US is attempting to ban one Chinese app, so another Chinese app becomes the number one download.

No one is migrating from TikTok to Twitter, where they will just get censored for calling out Elon Musk’s race replacement agenda and gamer fraud.

NPR:

With the clock ticking on a potential TikTok ban in the U.S., scores of Americans are flocking to a surprising alternative: a popular Chinese social media platform called Xiaohongshu, or RedNote in English.

The Supreme Court appears unlikely to block a law that requires TikTok to either be divested from its China-based parent company, ByteDance, or shut down in the U.S. on Jan. 19. The law stems from concerns about the Chinese government accessing Americans’ data.

That’s got many of the viral video app’s 170 million U.S.-based users preemptively looking for somewhere else to go. And RedNote seems to be the platform of choice.

The start of this week saw a dramatic uptick in Google searches and social media posts about RedNote, as well as its surge to the top spot of the “free apps” chart on Apple’s app store. The market intelligence firm Sensor Tower told NPR that its data indicates RedNote is also the top-ranked social app on the Google Play store on Wednesday — a big jump from #162, where it stood this time last year.

A person close to RedNote told Reuters that more than 700,000 new users joined in just two days. The New York Times reported that more than 100,000 people joined a live group chat hosted by a user named TikTok Refugee Club on Tuesday.

Many of these American newcomers are calling themselves TikTok refugees, a term that’s proliferating across the app in hashtags, comment sections and live chats. And the app’s Chinese users appear to be welcoming them with open arms, asking for cat photos and help with their English homework.

The US government is a criminal cartel. They have no right to ban TikTok. It’s an attack on the basic freedom of speech.

But these people are all retarded.

They do not understand that the US is a failed state, while China is the clearly superior civilization.

Look at this:

These people will claim that it is better to have homeless people shitting on the street. If they ever admit that America is not the pinnacle of civilization, they will claim India is.

India!

It’s a big delusional joke, the entire American elite, and it’s all going to come crashing down.

It is going to be the funniest thing ever if they do actually ban TikTok (it’s still not clear if they’re going to) and then in a matter of days a different Chinese app becomes number one.

Rednote has not even started a marketing campaign in English. It’s not even called “Rednote,” people are just calling it that because they can’t pronounce “Xiaohongshu” and the direct translation, “Little Red Book” is too cumbersome in English.

In Israel, ADL Chief Jonathan Greenblatt Appears to Call for Using Terrorism to Murder Me and My Friends https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/15/in-israel-adl-chief-jonathan-greenblatt-appears-to-call-for-using-terrorism-to-murder-me-and-my-friends/ Wed, 15 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

The head of the Israeli lobbying group the Anti-Defamation League was in Israel last, where he appeared to call for using Israeli terrorist tactics to maim and murder “antisemites” who criticize Jews on the internet.

Speaking before the Israeli Knesset, Jonathan Greenblatt bemoaned the fact that people are complaining about Jewish behavior online, saying that Jews are “losing the battle” against “antisemitism.” He framed the fight to silence critics of Israel on the internet as the “eighth front” of Israel’s “seven front war.” He then said that last year’s terrorist attack against Lebanon, which involved explosives being implanted into pagers which were detonated to mutilate and murder Lebanese people, should be the inspiration for silencing people on the internet.

It would have been bad enough if he had said this as a joke, but based on the context and the way he spoke, there is no indication he was joking.

“We need the kind of genius that manufactured Apollo Gold Pagers and infiltrated Hezbollah for over a decade to prepare for this battle,” Greenblatt said.

He went on to state that terrorism is a characteristic of Jewish people: “This is the kind of ingenuity and inventiveness that have always been a hallmark of the State of Israel, that have always been a characteristic of the Jewish people. I know we can do it.”

You can watch the video above to get the full context of the statement, and see if you think he is saying something different. The most generous interpretation would be that he is saying that it took a certain kind of cunning to do the terrorist attack against Hezbollah and that this type of cunning is need to silence critics of the Jews. It is seemingly unfathomable that he would want to leave people with the impression he was calling for terrorism against internet critics, and furthermore, he calls on the Israeli Defense Force to form a group to shut down these online critics, which definitely implies he is talking about real violence being used.

However, even if we give him the benefit of the doubt and suppose he is calling for some kind of metaphorical terrorism, we must ask what exactly it is he is talking about doing to prevent people from holding opinions he opposes.

Believing that Jews should not slaughter children in Gaza, or that they shouldn’t push child transsexualism, mass immigration, pornography, abortion, and other socially deleterious schemes in the West, is an opinion. How can you stop people from having an opinion, other than by killing them? What are the other options?

The ADL is primarily a censorship group, which lobbies governments to pass laws criminalizing the criticism of Jews, and lobbying Silicon Valley to silence critics of Jews online. This is obviously anti-American, fundamentally, but the ADL is one of many Jewish groups which engages in this activity. Internet censorship is ubiquitous, and even the supposed “free speech absolutist” Elon Musk has recently begun silencing his critics on Twitter.

Jewish groups successfully lobbied for TikTok to be banned in America due to the fact that the Chinese owners feel that Americans have a right to criticize Israel in a way that no American company allows them to.

However, none of this has to do with the government of Israel. If Greenblatt was suggesting that Israel should engage in more active lobbying for internet censorship and hate speech laws, he could have simply said that. Instead, he invoked terrorism and called for the IDF to fight people who criticize Jews online.

Being on the frontlines of criticism of Israel and the collective behavior of individual Jews, I have personally had an adversarial relationship with the ADL for more than a decade, regularly being a target of slander and hate from Jonathan Greetblatt and others in the organization, so this call for the Israeli military to use terrorism to silence people like me is particularly disturbing.

At this point, there is so much criticism directed at Israel, and to some extent also the behavior of diaspora Jews, that it would be virtually impossible to censor all of it. Twitter and Facebook would have to ban tens or hundreds of millions of people, and banning that many people would definitely result in those who weren’t banned criticizing Jews for getting all of those people banned.

However, if the Jews began assassinating critics, that may prove to be a significant deterrent.

Although I’ve said it many times, I want to put it on the record again that I am in very good health, I did not take the coronavirus vaccine so I am not at risk of dying suddenly, and I would never, under any circumstances, kill myself.

The video linked above is a week old and has fewer than 100 views. I have not seen this story reported anywhere else. I hope that others will clip the relevant portions and spread them on Twitter and elsewhere. I would like to see Tucker Carlson, Glenn Greenwald, Judge Napalitano, and others with large platforms addressing these statements by Greenblatt and demanding that he explain what exactly it is he is calling for when he says that terrorism needs to be used to silence people whose opinions he does not like.

The Jewish agenda to shut down the freedom of speech was already extreme enough, but calling for violence to be used as a solution to internet posts takes this into a whole new realm. If America was a serious country, traveling to a foreign country and calling for state terrorism against American citizens would be grounds for serious criminal charges.

Romania: Massive Crowds Assemble in Protest of Government Voiding Election Because the Right-Wing Guy Won https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/13/romania-massive-crowds-assemble-in-protest-of-government-voiding-election-because-the-right-wing-guy-won/ Mon, 13 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

What sort of a thing is it to just decide an election is canceled because the government doesn’t like the results?

Who believes in this “democracy” bullshit at this point?

I’ve argued consistently that no one actually cares about democracy, the only thing people care about is the people they support being in power. If anyone supported an elected figure and then that figure said “you know what, I’m just going to become a dictator, lol,” all of their supporters would support that move. No one other than people in the media and in the government itself talk about “it’s our values that we have to vote.”

Normal people (at least males) care about freedom and prosperity. They want a government that provides those things. Obviously, democracy does not really provide these things, at least not to the masses of people. But people will go vote because they want something better.

But if the government can just cancel the vote because the person people voted for is “against democracy,” then why vote at all?

And if voting is not a solution to changing the government, to petitioning grievances, then what is there left for people to do other than violently overthrowing the government?

It’s a serious question.

What are the options? Specifically?

Reuters:

Tens of thousands of Romanians angered by the cancellation of a presidential election marched through Bucharest on Sunday to demand that the ballot should go ahead and that outgoing centrist President Klaus Iohannis should resign.

In a move that polarised voters, Romania’s top court voided the presidential election on Dec. 6, two days before the second round.

It doesn’t polarize voters because some people really love voting and others do not. It polarized voters because some people support the right-wing guy and others do not.

Either side will support canceling the election if it’s their opponent getting canceled.

The cancellation came after state documents showed frontrunner Calin Georgescu, a critic of NATO, had benefited from an unfair social media campaign likely to have been orchestrated by Russia, accusations Moscow has denied.

The court ordered that the election be re-run in its entirety. The pro-European coalition government has yet to approve a calendar for the election, although party leaders agreed to hold the two rounds on May 4 and May 18.

Iohannis, whose term expired on Dec. 21, will stay on until his successor is elected.

On Sunday, tens of thousands of protesters, including left-wingers and those angered by the way the way the election was cancelled, joined the protest organised by the opposition hard-right Alliance for Uniting Romanians (AUR), Romania’s second-largest party.

“We ask for a return to democracy by resuming the election with the second round,” AUR leader George Simion told reporters.

Organizers said 100,000 people were at the protest, but riot police along the march estimated the numbers at around 20,000. Protesters waved flags and shouted “Freedom” and “Bring back the second round.”

…

It remains unclear whether Georgescu, who opposes Romanian support for Ukraine against Russia’s invasion, will be allowed to run for president again.

Well, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to let him run again, would it?

He’s banned from democracy because his beliefs are against our values in a democracy.

This is a farce. The entire system running the Western world is about as serious as an Elon Musk Path of Exile 2 stream.

Supreme Court Acts Like They’re Planning to Uphold Biden’s Unconstitutional TikTok Ban https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/11/scotus-looks-like-they-will-uphold-tiktok-ban/ Sat, 11 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

The neat thing about a rules-based order is that if China beats you, you can just change the rules and then win.

Biden literally set up this ban for the day before Trump takes office, so Trump has to deal with the issue.

Reuters:

The Supreme Court seemed inclined on Friday to uphold a law that would force a sale or ban the popular short-video app TikTok in the United States by Jan. 19, with the justices focusing on the national security concerns about China that prompted the crackdown.

During about 2-1/2 hours of arguments, the nine justices pressed lawyers representing TikTok, its Chinese parent company ByteDance and app users about the risk of China’s government exploiting the platform to spy on Americans and carry out covert influence operations – while also probing free speech concerns.

“Are we supposed to ignore the fact that the ultimate parent is, in fact, subject to doing intelligence work for the Chinese government?” conservative Chief Justice John Roberts asked Noel Francisco, a lawyer for TikTok and ByteDance.

What a faggot.

What is the “intelligence work”? What does that phrase even mean in this context?

The companies and users sued to block the law passed by Congress with strong bipartisan support last year and signed by outgoing Democratic President Joe Biden, whose administration is defending it. They appealed a lower court’s ruling upholding the law and rejecting their argument that it violates the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment protection against government abridgment of free speech.

Some justices raised apprehensions about the law’s impact on free speech, but their prevailing concern seemed centered on the national security implications of a social media platform with foreign owners that collects data from a domestic user base of 170 million Americans, about half the U.S. population.

Conservative Justice Brett Kavanaugh asked Francisco about potential long-term risks of China gathering data on users, especially those who flocked to the app at a young age, and using “that information over time to develop spies, to turn people, to blackmail people – people who a generation from now will be working in the FBI or the CIA or the State Department.”

This is all just total nonsense, and it’s not even clear why the Supreme Court would have a right to rule on Chinese spying. They should be ruling on whether the US government is unilaterally allowed to ban speech. That is the only Constitutional question here. Even if the Chinese were spying on people with TikTok, which is impossible, that would have no bearing on the case that is before the court.

TikTok only gets the same data that every other app can get. If it is banned, and we decide only American companies should be able to have apps on American phones, then logically you would have to ban every other app owned by foreigners. And yet, the government is not even trying to ban other apps owned by the Chinese.

If spying by app owners was actually a concern, you would order Apple and Google to restrict the amount of data that apps can get access to. But there is no concern about this issue generally. It’s only about TikTok.

There are two reasons:

  • American tech companies don’t want competition from China
  • The US government doesn’t want people being able to view video from the genocide the Jews are committing

It has nothing at all to do with spying. This is just a big hoax. Every single app works the same way, and Apple and Google have all of their code. People can choose to share a certain amount of information with the app, and most of it is not especially sensitive. The most sensitive thing you can share with an app is your location data.

The subhuman pederast Josh Hawley said straightforwardly that he wants to ban TikTok to protect the feelings of Jewish people.

This is one of the big problems with allowing men who sodomize young boys in the government: they are very easily blackmailed, and they will always be blackmailed by the Jews.

I have called for removing all of these pederasts from the government. I have also asked Republicans why they keep supporting blatant homosexuality in what is supposed to be a Christian party.

TikTok is not the threat. The government that thinks they have a right to silence speech is the threat.

Romania: Presidential Elections Annuled Because Frontrunner Got TikTok Views from Putin or Something https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/12/09/romania-presidential-elections-annuled-because-frontrunner-got-tiktok-views-from-putin-or-something/ Mon, 09 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000

This is from Friday, but the story didn’t really progress over the weekend.

CNN:

Romania’s constitutional court has annulled the first round of the country’s 2024 presidential election process, which was narrowly won by far-right ultranationalist candidate Calin Georgescu amid allegations of Russian interference.

The historic decision means a second-round runoff that was scheduled for Sunday, when Georgescu would have gone head to head with his centrist rival Elena Lasconi, will no longer take place.

In a press release, the court said the annulment was based on Article 146(f) of the Constitution, emphasizing the need to ensure the correctness and legality of the electoral process.

The court’s decision, announced Friday, is final and binding. It requires the Romanian government to restart the electoral calendar.

Friday’s decision caps off a troubled election cycle in the country, with the same court last week ordering a recount of the first-round votes.

It also comes just days after the vote was hit with fears over foreign interference, after declassified documents from Romania’s top security council revealed evidence of “aggressive hybrid Russian attacks.”

They also showed how Georgescu was boosted by potential interference on TikTok – the social media platform on which he largely ran his campaign – through algorithms, coordinated accounts and paid promotion, Reuters reported.

One of the declassified documents, from the Romanian intelligence agency, detailed more than 85,000 attempted cyber-attacks on election websites and IT systems, and concluded that “the attacker has considerable resources specific to an attacking state,” Reuters reported.

These findings prompted the US State Department to express concern on Wednesday and warn that a shift away from the West “would have serious negative impacts on U.S. security cooperation with Romania.”

Yeah.

You didn’t even need to include that paragraph, CNN.

I already knew that.

In a later statement Friday, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said: “The United States reaffirms our confidence in Romania’s democratic institutions and processes, including investigations into foreign malign influence.”

Georgescu was gonna win by a large margin according to some polls

Georgescu, 62, started his campaign with single-digit support but enjoyed a shock rise to prominence, narrowly emerging as leader in the election’s first round with 22.9% of the vote to Lasconi’s 19.2%.

While he has not described himself as specifically pro-Russian, Georgescu had previously labeled Ukraine an “invented state” and declared he wants a strategy of “peace with everyone, regardless of who they are.”

…

The court’s decision to cancel the election came the day after a large protest in the Romanian capital Bucharest, when hundreds turned out to rally in favor of Lasconi and against the far right. A small group of counter-protesters also rallied in support of Georgescu on Thursday night.

Protesters held banners reading “Romania, a landmark in the EU and NATO” and “No fascism.”

“I’m here today to protest against this fascist movement that is coming here, to Romania, against this leader that they have, Calin Georgescu, who appeared out of nowhere, clearly sponsored by Putin and by Moscow and we’re fighting against all the things that went wrong during this campaign,” one demonstrator called Mihai told Reuters.

Another protester, a student named Daniel, pointed to “a lot of fraud, suspected fraud at the voting stations” in the first-round vote.

If I were to take guess, I’d say that protest was why the elections were canceled.

The NGOs tried to do a big event, brought in all sorts of celebrities, and in the end fewer than 5,000 people attended, which is a pathetic number to get in a country with roughly the same population as the state of New York.

Someone at the US embassy probably realized their agitation isn’t working and decided to just shut it down.

Washington DC, 13 States Sue TikTok for Having “Addictive” Features https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/10/15/washington-dc-13-states-sue-tiktok-for-having-addictive-features/ Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000

How can someone be sued for a product with “addictive features”?

What does that even mean?

What about McDonald’s or that rabbi who runs PornHub? Are they not selling products with addictive features?

What about Monster Energy?

Reuters:

TikTok faces new lawsuits filed by 13 U.S. states and the District of Columbia on Tuesday, accusing the popular social media platform of harming and failing to protect young people.

The lawsuits filed separately in New York, California, the District of Columbia and 11 other states, expand Chinese-owned TikTok’s legal fight with U.S. regulators, and seek new financial penalties against the company.

The states accuse TikTok of using intentionally addictive software designed to keep children watching as long and often as possible and misrepresenting its content moderation effectiveness.

“TikTok cultivates social media addiction to boost corporate profits,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta said in a statement. “TikTok intentionally targets children because they know kids do not yet have the defenses or capacity to create healthy boundaries around addictive content.”

TikTok seeks to maximize the amount of time users spend on the app in order to target them with ads, the states say.

“Young people are struggling with their mental health because of addictive social media platforms like TikTok,” said New York Attorney General Letitia James.

TikTok said on Tuesday that it strongly disagreed with the claims, “many of which we believe to be inaccurate and misleading,” and that it was disappointed the states chose to sue “rather than work with us on constructive solutions to industrywide challenges.”

TikTok provides safety features including default screentime limits and privacy defaults for minors under 16, the company said.

Washington D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb alleged TikTok operates an unlicensed money transmission business through its live streaming and virtual currency features.

“TikTok’s platform is dangerous by design. It’s an intentionally addictive product that is designed to get young people addicted to their screens,” Schwalb said in an interview.

Washington’s lawsuit accused TikTok of facilitating sexual exploitation of underage users, saying TikTok’s live streaming and virtual currency “operate like a virtual strip club with no age restrictions.”

Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Vermont and Washington state also sued on Tuesday.

This is gay and retarded.

The government doesn’t care about “addictive features.”

We know what the complaint the government has about TikTok.

It’s well established by subhuman filth like Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, and Nikki Haley.
