The war between women and gays is heating up again!

Italy’s parliament made it illegal on Wednesday for couples to go abroad to have a baby via surrogacy — a pet project of Prime Minister’s Giorgia Meloni party which activists say is meant to target same-sex partners.

Since taking office in 2022 Meloni has pursued a highly conservative social agenda, looking to promote what she sees as traditional family values, making it progressively harder for LGBTQ couples to become legal parents.

The upper house Senate voted into law a bill proposed by Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party by 84 votes to 58. The bill was already approved by the lower house last year.

The legislation extends a surrogacy ban already in place in Italy since 2004 to those who go to countries such as the United States or Canada, where it is legal, imposing jail terms of up to two years and fines of up to 1 million euros ($1.09 million).

Earlier this year, Meloni called surrogacy an ‘inhuman’ practice that treated children as supermarket products, echoing a position expressed by the Catholic Church.

On Tuesday, demonstrators gathered near the Senate voicing their outrage at the bill, saying the government was lashing out at LGBTQ people and damaging those who wanted to have children despite the fact Italy has a sharply declining birth rate.

“If someone has a baby, they should be given a medal. Here instead you are sent to jail… if you don’t have children in the traditional way,” Franco Grillini, a long-time activist for LGBTQ rights in Italy, told Reuters at the demonstration.

Rainbow Families President Alessia Crocini said 90% of Italians who choose surrogacy are heterosexual couples but they mostly do so in secret, meaning the new ban would de facto affect only gay couples who cannot hide it.

“This is a monstrous law. No country in the world has such a thing,” said Grillini, referring to the government’s move to prevent Italians from taking advantage of practices that are perfectly legal in some countries.

Surrogacy is monstrous. Homosexuals are obsessed with getting their hands on children, by any means necessary.

What kind of women are carrying these children to term and then handing them over to gays? What a nightmare. They only get paid like $20,000.

Who would be doing that other than drug addicts?

There is a huge backlash against the Pope’s anal agenda, which threatens to cause a schism in the Church. Cardinals and others have been calling for the Pope to recant his support for anal blessings.

The Vatican has refused to recall the anal blessings, and all over the world, Catholic Churches continue to do a ceremony that looks very suspiciously like so-called “gay anal marriage.”

Instead of ceasing his “anal mania,” the Pope has instead decided to try to cool things off by releasing another document against trannies. There were already anti-tranny documents, so this doesn’t actually do anything. It is just intended to try to calm the people who are against the gay agenda.

However, even in this anti-tranny document, the Vatican could not help but again say that homosexuality should be legalized everywhere (???) and that fisters and double-fisters “deserve respect.”

The Vatican has described the belief in gender fluidity as “a concession to the age-old temptation to make oneself God”, as it released an updated declaration of what the Catholic church regards as threats to human dignity.

The new Dignitas infinita (Infinite Dignity) declaration released by the Vatican’s doctrinal office on Monday after five years in the making reiterates Pope Francis’s previous criticism of what he has called an “ugly ideology of our time”.

“Desiring a personal self-determination, as gender theory prescribes, apart from this fundamental truth that human life is a gift, amounts to a concession to the age-old temptation to make oneself God, entering into competition with the true God of love revealed to us in the gospel,” the 20-page document says.

Reiterating opposition to gender reassignment surgery, it adds: “It follows that any sex-change intervention, as a rule, risks threatening the unique dignity the person has received from the moment of conception.”

The Holy See distinguished between these sorts of surgeries and procedures to resolve “genital abnormalities” that are present at birth or develop later. It said those abnormalities could be treated with the help of healthcare professionals.

The Vatican said Pope Francis had approved the document, which also reaffirms its condemnation of surrogacy, saying the practice represents “a grave violation of the dignity of the woman and the child”.

The chief cardinal, Victor Manuel Fernández, said on Monday that the pope had asked for the Vatican’s doctrinal office (DDF) to include “poverty, the situation of migrants, violence against women, human trafficking, war and other themes” in its updated assessment of threats to human dignity.

The document says gay people should be respected and denounces the fact that “in some places not a few people are imprisoned, tortured, and even deprived of the good of life solely because of their sexual orientation”.

If you want to make homosexuality legal, you want more homos.

And why shouldn’t they be punished? There are arguments that Biblically, gay anal is worse than murder, or at least worse than most forms of murder.

Why should it be legal?

Fernández, a liberal theologian who was appointed to the DDF role – one of the Vatican’s most powerful positions – by Francis last year, said punishing homosexuality was “a big problem” and that it was “painful” to see some Catholics support anti-homosexuality laws.

The declaration also reaffirms the church’s position on abortion and euthanasia while strongly condemning femicide. “Violence against women is a global scandal, which is increasingly being recognised,” it says.

Fernandez is the freak who wrote that book about orgasms being a holy act.

The book also says that homosexuals can’t stop doing anal.

In comments to church news websites Crux and InfoVaticana Jan. 8, Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández addressed controversy surrounding his 1998 book, “La pasión mística: espiritualidad y sensualidad” (”Mystical Passion: Spirituality and Sensuality”).

The 90-page book, circulated among journalists and posted online in early January, contained a chapter detailing the differences between male and female orgasms—and how one can find God’s love in either—while another chapter was titled “God in the partner’s orgasm.”

The cardinal wrote that if mystics can obtain sensual experiences of the presence of God, then “he can also make himself present when two human beings love each other and reach orgasm; and that orgasm, lived in the presence of God, can also be a sublime act of worship of God.”

In the book, Cardinal Fernández also discussed ways of seeking and experiencing God’s love, but he wrote that the “joyful experience of divine love” does not necessarily free one from “psychological weaknesses.”

“It does not mean, for example, that a homosexual will necessarily cease being one,” he continued.

In “Mystical Passion,” the cardinal graphically described how each gender develops different attitudes toward sex based on their biological experience of intercourse.

He wrote that by being more receptive to affection in sex, women are “more open to the religious experience,” and that when men only try to be dominant, they “cannot fully experience the richness of love.”

He is the main figure behind the gay agenda at the Vatican.

While the document released this week is supposedly about dignity, Fernandez is just going around talking about how blacks should be forced to legalize gay anal rimming, ramming, fisting, and so on.

The Greek prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, appears to be facing one of his most daunting challenges yet after a pledge to legalise same-sex marriage ignited fierce debate in the Orthodox Christian country.

Throwing his weight behind an issue still prone to provoke extraordinary emotion, not least among his own MPs, Mitsotakis acknowledged he would have to use his skills of persuasion to push through the reform as opposition mounted within his centre-right New Democracy party.

“I, and all those who believe in this legislation, must convince our parliamentarians and subsequently those who may still have a negative stance,” he said in his first interview of the year with the country’s public broadcaster ERT. “What we are going to legislate is equality in marriage, which means the elimination of any discrimination based on sexual orientation. It is not something radically different from what applies in other European countries.”

The leader’s intervention, six months after securing a second term in office with a landslide victory “to reform the country”, underscores just how sensitive the issue of gay rights remains in Greece. In a society regarded as one of Europe’s most socially conservative, Mitsotakis, who belongs to New Democracy’s moderate faction, not only faces the disapproval of his own deputies, but stiff resistance from the state’s powerful Orthodox church. Clerics have repeatedly warned that approval of same-sex marriage would be a first step towards the LGBTQ+ community assuming parental rights, going so far as to suggest it would lead to the dismantlement of Greek society.

“Children are neither pets nor accessories,” its governing body, the Holy Synod, said in a recent circular distributed to dioceses. “No social modernisation and no political correctness can trick the natural need of children for a father and a mother.”

The Metropolitan of Piraeus, Seraphim, who had previously threatened to excommunicate lawmakers if they voted in favour of legalising same-sex unions, went further, calling homosexuality “an abuse of the body” and a “great sin”.

On Thursday the front pages of Estia and Dimokratia, two rightwing dailies, opined that the proposed law could threaten the government’s parliamentary majority and even prove to be Mitsotakis’ “Waterloo”.

But the prime minister, who said he had not only “read up and studied” the topic but given it a lot of thought, said Greece would not be legitimising surrogate parenthood.

“We won’t change the law on assisted parenthood,” he said, addressing the issue for the first time publicly on Wednesday evening. He emphasised that same-sex couples, just like straight people, could continue to adopt children. “The idea of women who are turned into child-producing machines on demand … that is not going to happen. We will not experiment with more advanced ideas.”

Weighing into the debate with its own proposed legislation earlier this week, the main opposition leftist Syriza party, which is led by Greece’s first out gay party leader, Stefanos Kasselakis, insisted that surrogacy should be considered an innate parental right.

Kasselakis, who assumed the helm of the party in September, made a point of marrying his longtime American partner, Tyler Mcbeth, in the US in October. To stir stagnant waters, to awaken consciences, not to caress them in their sleep.”

Mitsotakis, who also faces opposition from leading cabinet ministers, said he had been moved to address the issue mainly because the children of gay people were not recognised under Greek law.

“There are children. I don’t think anyone doubts this reality: that homosexual couples have children and these children are not going to stop existing, they are not going to vanish. But these children do not have equal rights,” he said, highlighting the example of a non-biological mother in a lesbian relationship having no legal access to the couple’s child in the event of her partner falling ill. “She has no rights. The child will go to an institution … A child born abroad cannot become a Greek citizen because, very simply, we don’t recognise [same-sex] marriage in Greece.”

Pope Francis called Monday for a universal ban on the “despicable” practice of surrogate motherhood, as he included the “commercialization” of pregnancy in an annual speech listing threats to global peace and human dignity.

In a foreign policy address to ambassadors accredited to the Holy See, Francis lamented that 2024 had dawned at a time in history in which peace is “increasingly threatened, weakened and in some part lost.”

Citing Russia’s war in Ukraine, the Israel-Hamas war, migration, climate crises and the “immoral” production of nuclear and conventional weapons, Francis delivered a lengthy laundry list of the ills afflicting humanity and the increasing violation of international humanitarian law that allows them.

But Francis also listed smaller-scale issues that he said were threats to peace and human dignity, including surrogacy. Francis said the life of the unborn child must be protected and not “suppressed or turned into an object of trafficking.”

“I consider despicable the practice of so-called surrogate motherhood, which represents a grave violation of the dignity of the woman and the child, based on the exploitation of situations of the mother’s material needs,” he said.

Saying a child is a gift and “never the basis of a commercial contract,” he called for a global ban on surrogacy “to prohibit this practice universally.”

Francis has previously voiced the Catholic Church’s opposition to what he has called “uterus for rent,” and some European countries prohibit it, including Spain and Italy. At the same time, however, the Vatican’s doctrine office has made clear that homosexual parents who resort to surrogacy can have their children baptized.

It’s a complicated issue.

The gays shouldn’t be allowed to do surrogacy.

But what about all the men who want kids, and the women who refuse to have kids?

If the Pope is against surrogacy, he should start telling women to get married.

Criticism has not only come from social conservatives in a society heavily influenced by the powerful Greek Orthodox church but progressives in Syriza who accused them of misogyny and narcissism.

The State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s parliament, will soon ban foreigners from paying Russian women to become surrogate mothers, Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said. A bill on the matter will be passed in early December, he added.

“The sale of children is unacceptable,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel on Sunday. “Over the past few years, 45,000 toddlers born by surrogate mothers have been moved overseas. It is a major illegal business venture with an estimated turnover of more than €2 billion [$2.04 billion].”

Volodin stated that “such babies oftentimes end up in very dangerous situations: they become victims of crimes, including illegal organ trade, and get adopted by same-sex couples.”

A representative of the Moscow Patriarchy has blasted surrogacy as “mutiny against God” and “happy fascism,” restarting the controversy after tabloids reports of a celebrity couple who used a surrogate mother to have children.

The comment from the head of the Patriarchy Commission for Family Motherhood and Childhood, Dmitry Smirnov, arrived after Russian mass media reported that in September 64-year-old Russian pop star Alla Pugachova and her 37-year-old husband Maksim Galkin had two children born through surrogate motherhood.

“I would ban this, of course. We can see that a bad example is contagious,” the senior church representative was quoted as saying by Interfax. “This is mutiny against God, this is very happy fascism with a contract, the money and confiscation of a child.”

The cleric also reminded that the Russian Orthodox Church supported a complete ban on surrogate motherhood in Russia and called on the State Duma to initiate such a move.

The official concept of the Russian Orthodox Church’s social policy calls surrogate motherhood – the agreement in which a woman carries and delivers a child for another person or couple – “unnatural and immoral,” adding that it should not be allowed even in cases where there is no monetary motivation.
