Activists from Animal Rebellion have staged sit-down protests in dairy aisles of high-end supermarkets across the country.

Demonstrators calling for a transition to completely plant-based food production say the Government is turning a blind eye to ‘climate, ecological and moral crises’.

The group has vowed to heavily disrupt the supply of dairy ‘day after day’ during September, branding the industry ‘cruel and destructive’.

They held signs reading ‘Plant-Based Future’ and ‘Rewild our Land’ as they attempt to stop shoppers from buying milk.

Animal Rebellion members entered a Whole Foods in London, and Marks & Spencer’s stores in Southampton, Birmingham, and Manchester.

It comes after supporters of the group emptied out milk onto the floor of Harrods in July in protest against the dairy industry.

The month before, the group stormed the racecourse during the Epsom Derby calling for an end to the ‘cruelty and harm the horseracing industry represents’.

The group have been behind a series of similar eye-catching stunts, including spraying a fishing organisation’s headquarters blood red earlier this year.

Taking part in the Marks & Spencer protest in Manchester, a protester named Max said: ‘This is not how I want to spend my weekend, but as the Government is failing to respond to our climate, ecological and moral crises, I no longer feel I have a choice.

‘Earlier this summer more than 60 homes and businesses burnt down when Britain faced record-breaking temperatures and now one-third of Pakistan is underwater from extreme climate-induced flooding.

Robert Gordon, who occupied the dairy section of a Whole Foods store near Soho, London, said: ‘Animal farming and fishing are leading causes of our climate and ecological crises.

‘Supermarkets like Whole Foods claim to be environmentally conscious, yet they continue to stock from the destructive meat, fish, and dairy industries.

I have some questions about dairy myself, but it works for a lot of people, and no one has a right to tell people what they’re allowed to eat.

If these people were concerned about food, they should be concerned about the fact that poisonous chemicals are being put in virtually all food.

A cashier was gunned down inside a Georgia supermarket Monday simply for asking a man to put on a mask — and a retired deputy who intervened was also shot, authorities said.

The afternoon horror happened at a Big Bear Supermarket in DeKalb, when the worker asked a man to mask up due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The man refused and got into an argument with the woman before pulling out a gun, hitting her with the weapon and shooting her in the head.

She later died, WSB-TV reported.

The retired deputy, a part-time reservist with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office who was working security at the store, jumped in and returned fire, Dekalb sheriff’s office spokeswoman Cynthia Williams told the Journal-Constitution.

The former deputy was wearing a bullet-proof vest at the time and is in stable condition at Atlanta Medical Center, Maddox said.

The suspect was hit “multiple times” and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was not immediately released.

ISIS fanatics could be targeting British and U.S. shops after the terror group perfected their methods using Iraqi prisoners as ‘human guinea pigs’.

The details of the ‘food poison tests’ were uncovered in Mosul, Iraq, after the city was liberated from ISIS earlier this year.

The attack took place at a supermarket in the Barmbek neighbourhood of Hamburg at around 3 pm local time according to police. The man involved, who has yet to be identified to the press, ran into the supermarket and began attacking customers with a “long kitchen knife” leading to the death of at least one victim.

Police captured the suspected killer shortly after the attack as he attempted to flee and has been arrested. Germany’s Spiegel reports after the attack the man fled in the direction of the Barmbek metro station but was chased by witnesses, allowing police to make their arrest. The news magazine also reports the motive for the killer is not clear, but counter-terror police have not yet been involved with the investigation.

Photographs acquired by Germany tabloid Bild showed the suspect, drenched in blood and wearing a so-called ‘spit mask’ being driven away by officers in a marked squad car.

I had never heard of “spit masks” before this, but I like the concept. If nothing else, it’ll cover these ugly subhuman’s faces, which is always a good thing. Suffocating them to death would be much better though.
