North Korea is funny, because these people are totally blockaded and sanctioned into oblivion but they have ultra-high IQs so they just roll with it and keep building weapons.

They can sell these weapons to others.

RT:

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has overseen a field trial of domestically produced kamikaze drones, state media reported on Friday.

Kim stressed that the country needs to soon move from prototyping to full-scale production to be able to incorporate large-scale use of unmanned aircraft into its military doctrine, the news agency KCNA added.

North Korean drones are designed for both ground and naval warfare, have different ranges, and employ some form of homing after reaching the end of their programmable path, the KCNA claimed.

I wish I was from an isolated and totally militarized state.

It’s really fun.

The rebel alliance in “South Korea,” which is a fake country, has totally stopped breeding and will age out of the universe within a generation. The DPRK will be able to just walk into the country and it will be nothing but old people in automated nursing homes, like Wall-E.

Oh, right. That was fat people who needed robots to take care of them. Anyway, same concept.

The country might collapse before that, however, when the second season of Squid Game is released next month. Squid Game was the only thing the country was famous for and the second season is likely to be just as bad as it sounds like that would be.

I’m sure there was a lot of money on the table, but why would you lower yourself to the level of a sequel? The show had already spun out of control at the end with goofy Asian shit.

If season 2 gets universally panned, Koreans might go full-Japanese and start killing themselves in shame on a mass scale.

It’s impossible the show could be worth a shit with 067 dead.

The trailer looks so retarded.

I’ll admit I had a chuckle when that bitch took a bullet in the head in red light, green light. But the same guy goes back to play the game again? What sort of story is that?

The director should have just written a Wall-E ripoff about rebel Korea in the near future being a bunch of nursing homes run by scrappy (and possibly even scampy) robots. He’s exactly the person I would want to direct that. Bringing back Squid Game as a direct sequel is so retarded I can’t even believe it’s real. He told the whole story, he did more than that and added the single most retarded plot twist ever (at least in an otherwise good show). We already have more than we want of that story.

To bring in another cast of characters of varying sympatheticness and then kill them off again would be totally pointless, so they’re likely going to do some kind of investigation to the “back story” of the game, which totally defeats the entire purpose of the show, which was a metaphor.

I wonder if the North Koreans were allowed to watch Squid Game? Most of the shows from the rebel base are banned because they promote feminism and infertility, but it seems like people would like to see Squid Game.

I remember a North Korean paper wrote about it (I can only find this Reuters report right now, I used to have a full translation of the article).

North Korean TV could have just showed the show and said it was a documentary showing what happens when Americans come in and “Westernize” you. It basically was a documentary.

The “Ukraine” Desperately Trying to Figure Out How to Counter Cheap Deadly Russian Drones https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/07/06/the-ukraine-desperately-trying-to-figure-out-how-to-counter-cheap-deadly-russian-drones/ Thu, 06 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Modern Warfare isn’t cool like in Call of Duty.

It’s actually gay and retarded, and just about sending drones at each other.

Reuters:

In a basement in downtown Kyiv late last month, away from prying eyes, hundreds of engineers and innovators met senior military officials to brainstorm ways to better neutralise the cheap Russian suicide drones that still devastate Ukrainian cities.

It was a rare, close-up glimpse into Ukraine’s technology arms race with Russia that draws on private sector innovation seeded with state venture capital, and which is pumping out thousands of combat drones in a booming wartime industry.

…

Reuters was the only media outfit invited to the event, where high-ranking army officials and ministers mingled with engineers and eccentric enthusiasts. One man arrived in shorts and a baseball cap with a large drone under his arm.

Organisers distributed $3 million in prize money among three teams of experts deemed to have presented the best drones or electronic warfare technology against Russia’s “Shahed”, drones of Iranian origin which cruise in swarms to their targets and detonate on impact.

In May, Russia attacked Ukraine with a record monthly total of more than 300 drones, official data shows, a challenge for planners anxious to protect energy supplies this winter. Last winter Russia tried to cripple the power grid with air strikes.

“We want to prepare for the… next winter to respond to these challenges,” Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said.

The Iranian drones fly so low that they can avoid detection by air defences, while their navigation systems are robust enough to make it hard to take them down with anti-drone electronic warfare weapons that disrupt radio frequencies.

The West has supplied sophisticated air defence systems to counter missile attacks, but taking down swarms of drones that cost $50,000 a piece with $1 million missiles is not ideal, officials say.

“That’s not profitable, so we need to constantly cut the cost of the tools we use to destroy Shaheds,” said Fedorov.

…

“This really is an unprecedented war of drones,” Fedorov said, adding that Ukraine’s military technology innovation had boomed since Russia’s invasion.

Ukraine launched a crowdfunding project last year aimed at creating an “Army of Drones” that has grown into a state programme covering everything from the production of uncrewed aerial vehicles to the training of drone pilots.

“A few months after the full-scale invasion began, everyone realized that the most effective way to conduct reconnaissance and defeat the enemy was uncrewed aerial vehicles,” said brigadier general Yurii Shchyhol.

Shchyhol, who oversees procurement for the state programme, said it had purchased 15,000 drones so far, with more coming in via the Defence Ministry and others being supplied by foreign assistance and volunteers.

The total number of drones used by Ukraine on the battlefield is not known.

“Our goal this year is to buy more than 200,000 strike and large reconnaissance drones… We will buy as many drones as are available for purchase on the market,” Shchyhol said.

Ukraine people are so whiny.

Their war is so gay.

They haven’t even explained what they are fighting for. Their publications say that all people on earth came from the Ukraine and they are the supreme master race.

So gay.

Oh, the Ukraine is losing again, even worse?

No one could have predicted this.

Reuters:

As Russia’s invasion enters its 17th month, Ukrainian forces say Moscow is ramping up its use of low-cost suicide drones that are capable of destroying equipment many times their value and not easy to defend against.

The Lancet drone, an angular grey tube with two sets of four wings, has been an increasing threat on Ukraine’s frontlines in recent months, according to Ukrainian solders.

Videos posted by pro-Russian social media channels over the last month appear to show Lancet drones damaging or destroying Ukraine’s valuable Western-donated equipment, such as a Leopard 2 tank and a Caesar self-propelled howitzer.

Ukrainian servicemen from four different artillery crews named Lancets as one of the main threats they faced on the battlefield in conversations with Reuters.

Several soldiers said the frequency of its use had increased in recent months.

“Earlier, in spring, they were not using Lancets as often as they are now,” 35-year-old artillery gunner Bohdan, who gave his call sign as Doc, told Reuters near Avdiivka on the Donetsk region frontlines.

Russia’s defence ministry has been encouraging an increase of production of the Lancet as a cheap way to hit high-value western equipment given to Ukraine for its counteroffensive, said Samuel Bendett, Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security.

Bendett said that, according to publicly available Russian sources, a Lancet drone costs approximately 3 million roubles (around $35,000).

In comparison, analysts estimate a single S-300 missile used by Russia to cost at least several hundred thousand dollars. A Leopard 2 tank is worth several million dollars.

Because the Lancet is a single-use device that destroys itself on impact, Bendett said it can only be viable if the cost is kept down to the tens of thousands of dollars per drone.

…

Drones like the Lancet, which fly low and slow, tend to confuse traditional air defence systems, which are built to intercept fast-moving targets with a larger heat signature.

Nets or metal cages can help limit the damage, said Sak, the defence ministry official, but the best defences are radar-equipped automated anti-drone guns, as well as electronic warfare systems.

Sak said Ukraine needed many more of these systems from its allies.

Without such systems, Ukrainian soldiers are often forced to try to shoot the Lancets down with small arms.

“It’s flying at 100 kilometres per hour, so shooting it down with small arms is not an easy challenge,” said Sak.

Putin and Russia are stronger after the fail coup.

On the Ukrainian side, things just keep getting worse and worse – and more humiliating.

I am very happy to see Ukraine believers have their souls crushed.

It’s unfortunate that Ukrainian boys are getting their bodies crushed.

The Ukraine didn’t have a vote on this war.

Former Microsoft Executives Building Kamikaze Drones in the Ukraine https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/03/25/former-microsoft-executives-building-kamikaze-drones-in-the-ukraine/ Sat, 25 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0000

AeroDrone’s Enterprise drone.

Finally, Microsoft executives are doing something productive: murdering innocent people for money.

Reuters:

At an unassuming industrial estate in northern Ukraine, two former Microsoft executives and a team of engineers are producing military drones that can travel over long distances and carry large payloads.

AeroDrone, which made crop-dusting drones prior to the war and now supplies Ukraine’s armed forces, makes unmanned aircraft that can carry up to 300 kilograms or fly up to several thousand kilometres in certain configurations.

As Ukraine seeks to narrow the yawning gap between its own military capabilities and Russia’s, Kyiv says it is expanding its drone programme for both reconnaissance and attacking enemy targets over an increasing range. It is hoping that domestic drone makers like AeroDrone will help it meet its ambitious goals.

The government is now working with more than 80 Ukraine-based drone manufacturers, Ukraine’s Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov told Reuters. He said Kyiv needs hundreds of thousands of drones, many of which it is looking to source from a rapidly-expanding domestic industry. Currently, the military operates dozens of models of domestic and foreign drones that fulfil a “wide spectrum” of roles, Reznikov said, in written responses to questions.

“Drones are potentially a game-changer on the battlefield in the same way that precise Western MLRS became last year,” Reznikov said, referring to Multiple Launch Rocket System weapons.

AeroDrone’s workshop.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and other drones are only one element of a war that is currently dominated by artillery, infantry and missiles. Moscow has been able to pound targets across Ukraine with long-range missiles, which Kyiv lacks.

“It is not worth expecting parity in the near future,” Reznikov said on closing the armament gap. He added: “Russia is also working on improving its UAVs.”

Kyiv is hoping to use Western supplies of battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles in the coming months to launch a counteroffensive to seize back swathes of occupied territory in the south and east.

For cash-strapped Ukraine, whose economy has been decimated by the war and whose government is now reliant on international financing, drones represent a relatively inexpensive way to fight back against Russia’s vast military. Ukraine has said it will spend nearly $550 million on drones in 2023 and has set up drone assault units within its armed forces.

The secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, told Reuters unmanned vehicles that crash into their target and detonate – so-called kamikaze drones – will be a particular focus for Ukraine in 2023.

Drone war is kind of boring, isn’t it?

I mean, as long as the drones are flying it is.

If they were ground-based killer drones, like in Screamers, that would be much funnier.

But in the current year, not even mass murder is allowed to be funny.

The Ukraine people are moving into the robot age, vowing to attack Russia with suicide drones.

AP:

Ukraine has bought some 1,400 drones, mostly for reconnaissance, and plans to develop combat models that can attack the exploding drones Russia has used during its invasion of the country, according to the Ukrainian government minister in charge of technology.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov described Russia’s war in Ukraine as the first major war of the internet age. He credited drones and satellite internet systems like Elon Musk’s Starlink with having transformed the conflict.

Yeah, thanks for that, Elon.

Ukraine has purchased drones like the Fly Eye, a small unmanned aerial vehicle used for intelligence, battlefield surveillance and reconnaissance.

“And the next stage, now that we are more or less equipped with reconnaissance drones, is strike drones,” Federov said. “These are both exploding drones and drones that fly up to three to 10 kilometers and hit targets.”

He predicted “more missions with strike drones” in the future, but would not elaborate. “We are talking there about drones, UAVs, UAVs that we are developing in Ukraine. Well, anyway, it will be the next step in the development of technologies,” he said.

…

“I can say already that the situation regarding drones will change drastically in February or March,” he said.

This whole situation is hard to even process.

The Ukraine has all of the most high-tech weaponry in the world at their disposal. The West has collapsed the economy of Europe to push this war. They have ruined trade deals that served as the backbone of the global world order.

The economic fallout would be listed in the untold trillions of dollars – especially when you consider the long term 10- or 100-year-cost of something like “completely wrecking German industry.”

And some of these things they’ve destroyed do not have a price. When Saudi Arabia starts doing non-dollar trades with China – what is the cost of that? This is the beginning of the end of the so-called “petro-dollar.” So is the cost “all the money in the world”?

With all of this poured into this goofy war, the Ukraine is still losing very badly.

But hey – maybe the drones will turn the whole thing around once and for all?

Iranians Doing Drone Tech Support and Training from Crimea, America Says https://www.anglinarchive.com/2022/10/21/iranians-doing-drone-tech-support-and-training-from-crimea-america-says/ Fri, 21 Oct 2022 00:00:00 +0000

Russia is getting drones from Iran. It’s interesting that Iran’s tech is at that level, where they are selling it to a superpower.

That said, it’s very unlikely that they are actually physically going to Crimea to help the Russians. It’s possible, but it seems very made up.

Reuters:

The United States has said Iranian military trainers were in Crimea helping Russian forces operate Iranian-made drones to attack targets in Ukraine, adding an alarming strand to a war that has heightened geopolitical tensions.

Ukrainian citizens endured the first day of nationwide scheduled power outages since the war began eight months ago so repairs could be made to damaged or destroyed energy plants as winter approaches.

“We can confirm that Russian military personnel based in Crimea have been piloting Iranian UAVs and using them to conduct kinetic strikes across Ukraine, including in strikes against Kyiv in recent days,” U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price told a daily briefing with reporters, referring to unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones.

“We assess that … Iranian military personnel were on the ground in Crimea and assisted Russia in these operations,” Price said. He said “we do have credible information” but he did not provide evidence.

Russia seized Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and has used the southern peninsula to train soldiers and reopen Soviet-era military bases as part of the invasion of its neighbour.

There was no immediate public reaction from Tehran to the U.S. accusations but Iran has denied the drones are Iranian-made. Russia has also denied using Iranian drones in Ukraine.

Russia’s defence and foreign ministries did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that Washington was going to pursue all means to “expose, deter and confront” Iran’s supply of munitions to Russia, including more sanctions, while also considering air defences for Ukraine.

European Union members have agreed on new measures against Iran, the bloc said, while Britain imposed sanctions on senior military figures and a firm it said were involved in the supply of Iranian drones to Moscow.

Russia and Iran have also been involved in the 11-year-long civil war in Syria, together supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“Iran and Russia, they can lie to the world, but they certainly can’t hide the facts, and the fact is this: Tehran is now directly engaged on the ground,” Kirby said, without providing details.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister t said on Twitter he had held detailed discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid on a request for air and missile defence systems and technology. Lapid’s office said the Israeli leader expressed “deep concern” about the military connection between Iran and Russia.

Yes. Of course.

This is a very obvious way to more aggressively link Iran to Russia, to talk about how Iran is taking part in the “occupation.”

Israel is already basically at war with Russia on multiple fronts, but this justifies further action.
