A prosecutor in Central California said Tuesday no charges are forthcoming against the two 7-Eleven clerks who beat a would-be robber with a large wooden stick in a viral video.

San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas said any resources dedicated to the incident will be focused on prosecuting the robbery suspect, not the convenience store workers.

“The Stockton 7-11 Store Clerks are not & have never been, suspects of the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office,” Mr. Freitas said in a statement to Sacramento NBC affiliate KCRA-TV. “Any investigation going forward is to hold accountable the individual who threatened & attempted to rob them.”

I can’t tell if Ron Freitas looks based or unhinged or both. (What kind of person makes this face in a photo? Then approves the photo to be used as an official press photo? What kind of message is he trying to send?)

The Stockton Police Department said Monday it arrested robbery suspect Tyrone Frazier. Officers took the 41-year-old into custody for a vandalism offense just blocks away from the 7-Eleven.

Police said the suspect is being investigated for two robberies at the convenience store within 24 hours on July 28-29.

If you’re not white, you have a lot of privileges. But blacks have the most (specifically because they are the most problematic – really by a massive margin against the Mexicans, who are a very distant second place).

It’s unclear how far nonwhite/nonblack privilege extends against black people.

In this situation, it was so brutally obvious that the Indians were in the right, that it’s likely that only a white person could be punished for this.

We should also note: charging someone and then dropping the charges, or even acting like you’re going to charge someone, is a form of punishment, and it sends a message. It was decided by the media that the Indian was in the wrong, because blacks are like wandering holy men and doing anything to prevent their activities (virtually all of which are criminal, or at least grossly offensive) is morally reprehensible.

Basically, even other black people are not allowed to stop black people from committing crimes at this point though, so the dynamics are not clear, and I think the punishment for “nonwhite v. black” is basically determined on a case-by-case basis.

You can’t just stop black people from committing crimes.

That is completely illegal in America.

A suspected shoplifter beaten by two 7-Eleven clerks in a viral video allegedly stole from the same California location at least twice before the employees took him down, police said as they revealed the workers are under investigation for possible assault.

Stockton police shed new light over the weekend on the July 29 confrontation in which the pair of workers used a stick to wallop a man who tried to swipe a trash can full of cigarettes.

The footage of the beating, which quickly went viral last week, showed one employee holding down the suspect while his coworker whacked him almost 25 times — while the alleged robber screamed in agony.

The encounter was at least a day in the making, according to cops.

The suspect went behind the counter and threatened to shoot an employee if he tried to stop him the day before at around 3:40 a.m., police said in a news release.

He allegedly stole several packs of cigarettes and other items before fleeing.

The next day at around 12:27 a.m., the employee told police the same suspect again entered the chain business and demanded money while simulating having a handgun, cops said.

When the employee refused, the suspect instead grabbed food without paying and fled again.

Less than three hours later, the suspect came back with the trash can and began throwing tobacco products inside it before fed-up employees grabbed him.

Stockton police were initially confused by a report of an assault and a report of attempted shoplifting before they put the incidents together.

“The male did not know if he had been assaulted,” Stockton police said. “The male was then transported to an area hospital to be treated for a complaint of pain.

“At the time this was reported, Officers could not confirm if the male was a victim of an assault, or a suspect related to the series of robberies at the 7-Eleven.”

The footage that emerged on social media Thursday tied the alleged robberies and the suspected assault to the same incident, police said.

In the video, the suspect was seen walking behind the store’s register tossing fistfuls of tobacco products inside a large trash can as an off-camera worker pleaded for him to stop.

As the suspected robber tried to shove past one worker, the employee dragged him to the ground, just in time for his co-worker to start beating him with a stick, the footage shows.

The man who captured the moment on video told one local station believes the beating might’ve crossed a line.

“It came to a point where it got a little excessive so I was kind of like, ‘Yo, you know, we got to chill, we got to relax,’” customer Louis Benton told ABC 10.

“Those two workers who protected their store, they did a courageous act. I believe that if I wasn’t there that guy would probably be more hurt than he was.”

Remember George Floyd.

If he’d been given immunity to commit all forms of crime, he’d still be alive. I mean, he probably wouldn’t be, but you know, maybe.

Anyway, after slavery, blacks can’t be prevented from committing crimes.

If they gave this money to white people, everyone would be better off in the long run and the world would be a better, nicer place.

But they’re giving it to random brown ex-drug addicts so they can have a smartphone.

Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang wants to give cash to every American each month.

Susie Garza has never heard of Yang. But since February, she’s been getting $500 a month from a nonprofit in Stockton, California, as part of an experiment that offers something unusual in presidential politics: a trial run of a campaign promise, highlighting the benefits and challenges in real time.

Garza can spend the money however she wants. She uses $150 of it to pay for her cellphone and another $100 or so to pay off her dog’s veterinarian bills. She spends the rest on her two grandsons now that she can afford to buy them birthday presents online and let them get the big bag of chips at the 7-Eleven.

“I’ve never been able to do that. I thought it was just the coolest thing,” said Garza, who is unemployed and previously was addicted to drugs, though she said she has been sober for 18 years following a stint in prison. “I like it because I feel more independent, like I’m in charge. I really have something that’s my own.”

Garza is part of an experiment testing the impact of “universal basic income,” an old idea getting new life thanks to the 2020 presidential race, although Stockton’s project is an independent one and has no connection to any presidential race.

Yang, a tech entrepreneur, has anchored his longshot bid with a proposal to give $1,000 in cash to every American, saying the payments will shield workers from the pain of certain job losses caused by automation. The idea has helped him win unexpected support and even muscle out some better-known candidates from the debate stages. His proposal isn’t too far off from one by U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, one of the top contenders for the Democratic nomination, who has a proposal to give up to $500 a month to working families.

Kamala’s “to working families” thing will quickly turn into “just for blacks and browns as a form of reparations for slavery and colonialism.” She has already stated that she supports “reparations,” so it would be weird to give money to white people.

Yang’s “for everyone” approach is much more likely to result in white people getting money too.

Stockton, once known as the foreclosure capital of the country and for one of the nation’s largest municipal bankruptcies, is a step ahead of both candidates. In February, the city launched the Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration, a pilot program spearheaded by a new mayor and financed in part by the nonprofit led by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes. The city chose 125 people who live in census tracts at or below the city’s median household income of $46,033. They get the money on a debit card on the 15th of each month.

“I think poverty is immoral, I think it is antiquated and I think it shouldn’t exist,” said Michael Tubbs, the city’s 29-year-old Democratic mayor.

Tubbs’ personal story includes a cousin who was killed, a father who is in prison and a mother who, as a teenager, raised him with the help of multiple jobs. He found his way to Stanford and public service, where he persuaded his beleaguered city to sign on to a provocative new idea: guaranteed cash.

A team of researchers is monitoring the participants. Their chief interest is not finances but happiness. They are using what they call a “mattering scale” to measure how much people feel like they matter to society.

“Do people notice you are there? Those things are correlated to health and well-being,” said Stacia Martin-West, a researcher at the University of Tennessee who is working on the program along with Amy Castro-Baker at the University of Pennsylvania.

Guaranteed cash? That black mayor should know better. If the researchers’ chief interest is happiness and not finances, then they have to step up their game.

It’s all about guaranteed Popeyes chicken sandwiches now.

Sometimes blacks have the money but Popeyes doesn’t have the sandwiches.

If we want to keep the peace and make people of color happy, we must guarantee the availability of these sandwiches and launch the Universal Chicken Sandwiches program to give every person of color 1,000 Popeyes chicken sandwiches a month.

They won’t even need cash after that, they’ll base their economy on chicken sandwich units.

The idea of a guaranteed income dates back to at least the 18th century and has crossed ideological and cultural lines.

The latest momentum comes with the help of the technology industry, which is grappling with how to prepare for the job losses likely to come with automation and artificial intelligence.

The tech connection has drawn criticism from left-leaning labor unions skeptical of the industry’s motives.

“We think the future of work should be defined by working people, not tech billionaires,” said Steve Smith, spokesman for the California Labor Federation, a group of 1,200 unions and a reliable ally for some of the state’s most liberal policies. “If there are no jobs available, you are pretty much stuck with your $1,000 a month check while the CEO of the tech company that automated you out of a job is being paid a billion dollars a year.”

Work for the sake of work is not a solution to automation taking away people’s jobs.

America needs to use taxpayer money to buy an army of robot worker slaves to serve Americans.

Companies can automate jobs because they have the money to invest in robot workers. America has the money to do that too.

Use taxpayer money to generate more money for taxpayers. Over time, taxpayers won’t even have to pay taxes and will get richer and richer through the collectively-owned robot slave worker army.

The robots will pay for themselves and dance for us.

Instead of spending hundreds of billions on strengthening the army for Israel, why not take a couple of years off to invest in an army of robot slave workers that will generate wealth for Americans?

Most countries don’t spend this kind of money on their military and they’re just fine, and surely, all the money spent so far can buy you a bit of time to spend on something else.

It wasn’t unprovoked, though. The whites told the juveniles to “move along” in the street.

Oooof.

A couple in California taking out the trash over the weekend ended up victims of a “very brutal” attack that was caught on camera, according to officials.

The Stockton Police Department said on Facebook the incident happened Sunday around 11:30 p.m. when the group of unknown assailants attacked the couple in the 900 block of Henry Long Drive in the Weston Ranch area of the city.

Video released by the department shows a woman being kicked and punched around her head and face area multiple times.

“If you look at the video, there’s about four to five people, both males and females,” Stockton Police spokesman Joe Silva told FOX40. “And we believe that they possibly are known to that neighborhood.”

The couple, who have asked to not be identified, said the confrontation started after they asked a group of teenagers to move along while they were taking out the trash.

The woman, who now has two black eyes, said the attack began when one of the men in the group sucker punched her. Stockton police said she was treated at a local hospital for her injuries and released after the attack.

Police said in the surveillance video, there appeared to be 4 to 5 male and female suspects.

“The suspects are believed to be known to the area,” Stockton police said. “During the assault, the group of suspects also vandalized the victim’s vehicle.”

A 12-year-old girl has told police she was raped by a stranger after being taken to a secluded area.

The girl is believed to have been approached by the man as she walked along Durham Road, opposite the Mile House pub, in Stockton.

The incident is reported to have happened between 5.30pm and 7.45pm on November 15, 2018.

The man – who is not known to the girl – was first approached at the traffic lights, before being followed along Darlington lane, towards Sheraton Park, where she was raped in a secluded area.

Cleveland Police are appealing for any motorists in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage of from the scene.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “The man is described as being a black male in his 20s, around 6ft tall and of muscular build and he spoke with a local accent.

“He was wearing tight black jeans which were ripped at the knees and a dark coloured top and baseball cap.”

A Stockton man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found in a Manteca dumpster last year, police said.

Richard Howard Watkins, 49, was formally charged in the killing of Kelly Marelich, according to Manteca police.

Marelich’s body was found on March 15 in a dumpster behind a business in the 1100 block of South Main Street, detectives said.

After several months of investigations, officers identified Watkins as the prime suspect.

Watkins is currently incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Deuel Vocational Institution on an unrelated offense.

Watkins is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 in San Joaquin County court.

Stockton Police have located the vehicle that was involved in the hit and run that cost a retired police officer his life.

On Tuesday, 70-year-old Jimmy Pendergrass was on his way to work when he was struck by a van while crossing the intersection of Washington and El Dorado Street.

He later died from his injuries at the  hospital.

Pendergrass was a retired Stockton Police officer, and was a part-time investigator.

On Thursday night, the vehicle that matched the description was found on Harrison and Sonora Street by a security guard.

According to Stockton Police, a man was found sleeping inside the van, and was taken in for questioning.

After further investigation and questioning, 57-year-old Sergio Meraz Chavira was arrested.

He is being charged for a felony hit and run.

“Our department can now begin to heal and the Pendergrass family can have some closure knowing that a suspect is in custody and behind bars,” Chief Eric Jones wrote on the department’s Facebook page.

Newly-elected Stockton City Council member Christina Fugazi says she and her boyfriend were racially profiled, but police claim her routine stop turned into something more when they allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the car.

According to a police report, she rolled through three separate stop lights on California and Weber streets last Friday.

Fugazi wasn’t alone in the car that night. Her boyfriend, Tremaine Bobby Manning, was in the passenger’s seat.  During the traffic stop, police claimed they smelled marijuana and alcohol. The police report states there was an empty bottle of alcohol in the vehicle.

According to the report, when officers asked who had been drinking and smoking marijuana, Manning said he was.

Police declined our requests for an on-camera interview but said, “Once we were made aware of the concerns, we have an obligation to examine them carefully.  We have initiated an Administrative Review to clarify the circumstances related to the traffic stop.”

Fugazi also chose not to speak but sent us this statement which said, “I must honor the investigation and not discuss the incident any further until it has been concluded.”

Fugazi was not cited in the stop.

Police added the Detectives involved in the stop were veteran officers, one has 13 years on the job and the other has seven years on the job.​
