Elon Musk said on Saturday that America Pac, the Donald Trump-allied political action committee he founded, will give $1m every day until the presidential election to someone who signs his petition that appears to be a way to incentivize Republicans in battleground states to register to vote.

“We are going to be awarding $1m randomly to people who have signed the petition,” Musk said at a town hall event in Pennsylvania. “One of the challenges we’re having is how do we get the public to know about this petition because the legacy media won’t report on it.”

“I figured, so how do we get people to know about it? I think this news will really fly. So every day between now and the election we will be awarding $1m, starting tonight,” Musk said, before presenting an oversized lottery-style check to the first winner of the prize draw.

The petition asks people to pledge their support for the first and second amendments, but the small print says that to be eligible for any of the monetary awards, signers need to be registered voters in the key battleground states.

In doing so, the petition appears to be designed to principally push Trump voters to register to vote in the presidential election so that they can be in the running for the $1m prize. Signing the petition is also now a prerequisite to attend Musk’s town hall events.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris unveiled a new executive order aimed at tackling gun violence on Thursday, as the vice-president and Donald Trump clash over the issue on the campaign trail.

The order establishes a new “emerging firearms threats task force” to crack down on machine-gun conversion devices and unserialized, 3D-printed guns. The policy also calls on federal agencies to develop guidance for schools on active shooter drills to mitigate potential psychological harm to students.

“To talk about reducing crime and violence in America, you need to talk about guns in America,” Biden said during a press conference in Washington on Thursday. “There’s so much more we have to do. I think it’s time to reinstate the assault weapons ban and high-capacity magazines.”

Biden said: “The lack of guidance today on how to prepare students while minimizing the trauma of active shooter drills is unacceptable.” Referring to the new executive order improving school-based active shooter drills, the president said: “I never thought I would have to sign something like this, but we do.”

Biden called the impact of machine-gun conversion devices – weapons that have the power to transform a handgun into a fully automatic firearm – “devastating”.

Questions over gun access have become an issue in the presidential campaign, with Trump claiming in the presidential debate with Harris this month that Harris “wants to confiscate your guns”. Harris fiercely rejected that charge, noting that she and her running mate, Tim Walz, are both gun owners.

In a conversation with Oprah Winfrey last week, Harris indicated she was not afraid to use a firearm for self-defense, saying: “If someone breaks in my house, they’re getting shot.”

Pretty hardcore, and I think actually illegal in all leftist states.

But she is talking out of both sides of her mouth. That weirdo Walz is out there trying to be a folksy communist who understands the working man’s desire to own many firearms, while she is appealing to women who want to strip all men with penises of their guns in order to create a vagina utopia where sex is the only form of power.

She can say “I’ll kill any immigrant who tries to take what’s mine” while also writing these bills to take people’s guns and then the media will show people whichever side they are likely to sympathize with.

The US government does not have any form of legitimacy. They claim to follow the Constitution, but the Constitution says “shall not be infringed.”

So where do they get this authority? From democracy? What the hell is democracy? Is it an entity? Some kind of evil cosmic entity, like from Lovecraft?

Whatever democracy is, we’ve not heard an explanation as to where its authority comes from.

A 14-year-old boy killed two fellow students and two teachers and wounded nine others in a shooting at a Georgia high school on Wednesday, jolting the United States with the first mass campus shooting since the start of the school year.

The suspect, who had been interviewed by law enforcement last year over online threats about committing a school shooting, was taken into custody shortly after the shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, investigators said.

He was identified as Colt Gray, 14, and will be charged and tried as an adult, Chris Hosey, director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, told a press conference.

Mayor Eric Adams’ controversial plan to install gun-detecting tech in the Big Apple’s beleaguered transit system was booted up Friday in lower Manhattan.

The weapons scanner pilot program from company Evolv, which was unveiled by the tech-loving mayor in March, went live in the Fulton Street station at around 4 p.m., ahead of the evening commute.

A Post reporter observed passengers forking over their handbags and backpacks to police for inspection before they passed through the electronic detector, where there was a sea of additional officers waiting on the other side. Once cleared, they walked back and retrieved their items.

One police officer wearing rubber gloves was seen thoroughly searching one straphanger’s black backpack, carefully going through each pocket.

Commuters who spoke to The Post welcomed the scanners — as long as they are accurate and don’t hold up the hurried commuters.

When the program is implemented only random people — every five people or so — will be selected to go through the detector, Adams told reporters at a press conference Friday evening.

He described the new weapons technology surveillance pilot, which uses electromagnetic technology, as “groundbreaking” — noting scanners will be placed at “select” stations throughout the city “over the next month.”

This hardly seems like a long-term solution to the problem of escalating violence.

It seems to me that this is a social problem, and not a problem of access to guns.

The US supreme court has upheld a federal ban preventing anyone placed under a domestic violence restraining order from possessing a gun.

The ruling in US v Rahimi, supported by eight justices to one, with Clarence Thomas dissenting, will leave in place legal protections against a major source of gun violence in America.

My nigga Thomas is the single person on the court who even pretends to care about this country.

Every single one of Trump’s appointments are utterly useless.

Imagine that people tried to tell you “oh well, the really important thing about voting Republican is that they get to make the SCOTUS appointments.”

Writing the opinion, the chief justice, John Roberts, said that individuals can be temporarily disarmed if they pose a “credible threat to the physical safety of another” without violating the second amendment to the constitution that allows the right to bear arms.

“Since the founding, the nation’s firearm laws have included regulations to stop individuals who threaten physical harm to others from misusing firearms,” he wrote.

There actually is an argument that noncitizens don’t have any guaranteed Constitutional rights at all, so I don’t think that counts. This is the same court who extends all of these rights to non-citizens, however, so they can use a ban on non-citizens (blacks, specifically) owning guns to say “this is an example of humans not having a Second Amendment right.”

The judgment will come as a relief to gun control advocates who had feared that the ability to disarm dangerous people might fall prey to the radical interpretation of the second amendment advanced by the court’s conservative supermajority.

Merrick Garland, the US attorney general, welcomed the ruling as confirmation that “commonsense prohibition is entirely consistent” with the second amendment, adding that the justice department would “continue to enforce this important statute”.

The decision from the chief justice comes as a rebuke to the fifth circuit court of appeals which had previously ruled that the ban on gun possession for those under domestic violence restraining orders was unconstitutional.

In his opinion, Roberts framed the decision to continue the ban on gun possession by those under a domestic violence order as “common sense”. He wrote: “When an individual poses a clear threat of physical violence to another, the threatening individual may be disarmed.”

Not that it even matters, but the law doesn’t even say the man has to have serious abused her. All forms of gun control are meant to push towards completely abolishing the right to own guns. The Second Amendment doesn’t exist, but there are still ways you can privately buy and own some types of guns without breaking the law.

Basically, these people want a situation where the only gun you can own in a shotgun or a musket, and even then, not in the city. They also want all guns controlled by some weird biometric shit, where only one person (or a series of people) can use the gun (this is in CyberPunk 2077, for the real niggas who play that game because they fixed it). This would even prevent people from raiding a police department or military depot and getting (usable) guns.

All gun control laws are about taking all guns. Period. From bans on fully-auto, to background checks, to other forms, to restrictions on felons of drug users, it’s a process of adding more and more hurdles and restrictions until they get to the point where there are so many restrictions that no one will even notice if they just say “actually, you can’t own guns anymore at all.”

BUT

Even if you believed that there was such a thing as “common sense gun control,” taking guns from a “domestic abuser” (anti-male slur for a man who keeps his woman in line), isn’t “common sense.” If I’m gonna kill my wife, the one thing I am not going to do is shoot her.

I’m gonna:

  • Beat her to death with a crowbar
  • Beat her to death with my bare hands
  • Burn her alive
  • Drown her in the bathtub
  • Push her down the stairs
  • Tie her to a pillar and stone her
  • Feed her to wild animals
  • Tie her to a concrete block and throw her off a bridge into the river
  • Cut her belly open with a samurai sword and let her bleed out
  • Push her into a vat of acid
  • Throw her into a volcano
  • Beat her to death with an iron skillet

I’m not really sure what you’re supposed to do about that.

If you talk to a random sample of people in a major city, it really seems like a majority of the country is getting the government it deserves.

Of course, the biggest problem is that woman and (to a lesser extent) brown people are allowed to vote, which is obviously illegitimate, even if you believe in the system.

I do not believe in the system. If the system was legitimate, you would automatically disqualify anyone running ads saying they’re going to take away your constitutional rights, and arrest and imprison them for sedition.

President Biden pulled the trigger on a new 30-second ad touting his support for gun control — just days after first son Hunter Biden was convicted on felony gun charges.

Following the Supreme Court ruling Friday to roll back a national ban on bump stocks, Biden quickly rolled out the 30-second spot where he also accused former President Donald Trump of being in the pocket of the National Rifle Association.

“When Trump was president— children gunned down in classrooms, innocent people killed in church and massacred at a concert. Still, Trump did nothing,” Biden said in the ad.

“He sided with the NRA, but I sided with you. I’ve expanded background checks, created an office of gun violence prevention, and now murder rates are down.”

Murder rates are not down. They went down slightly in 2023, but not as much as they went up after Biden took office.

Maybe that proves his point, but murder is not even related to how many guns there are or how easy it is to legally purchase a gun. Murder is related to black people using illegal guns (as well as other weapons, but mostly guns).

They went ape after the whole BLM thing and now appear to have chilled out.

A federal judge on Sunday blocked the Biden administration from fully implementing a new rule that would require gun dealers to obtain licenses and conduct background checks when selling firearms at gun shows and online.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in Amarillo temporarily restrained the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ rule from being enforced in Republican-led Texas or against members of several gun rights groups.

“I am relieved that we were able to secure a restraining order that will prevent this illegal rule from taking effect,” Texas Attorney General Paxton, a Republican, said in a statement.

The U.S. Department of Justice, which is defending the rule in court, did not respond to a request for comment.

Kacsmaryk, an appointee of Republican former President Donald Trump, issued his ruling ahead of the rule taking effect on Monday in response to a lawsuit by Texas, gun rights advocates, and three other Republican-led states.

The lawsuit challenged a rule finalized last month that Democratic President Joe Biden’s administration said would affect more than 23,000 unlicensed dealers and tens of thousands of gun sales annually by closing the “gun show loophole.”

Under the rule, those selling weapons at gun shows, other venues and over the internet are subject to the same requirements as gun stores to check the backgrounds of potential buyers.

There is no “gun show loophole.” This is just the normal way guns are supposed to be sold in America. It is totally illegal for the government to tell people they have to register their guns, or provide any record of purchase.

It’s also illegal to regulate the kinds of guns people can buy.

According to the Constitution, you should be able to buy a machine pistol with cash in a back alley and then carry it concealed on all public property. That’s what the Constitution says.

The Constitution has been inactive for a very long time, and it’s actually stupid to even talk about it.

Security experts are increasingly urging U.S. churches to increase their safety measures after two near misses involving attempted shootings at houses of worship in different parts of the country this month.

Interest in doing so among congregations is also on the rise, they say.

Last week, a Pennsylvania man jumped out of his seat at the front of a church and tackled an armed man who walked up to the pulpit and tried to gun down a pastor mid-sermon.

A hero in the front row, Clarence McCallister, tackled and disarmed him.

Then, on Saturday, a gun-toting teen walked up to a Louisiana church during a First Communion Mass for dozens of children. Parishioners detained him outside and called police.

In February, an armed woman barged into Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, with her 7-year-old in tow and opened fire.

Off-duty officers on scene put an end to the assault, but her child was struck in the head in the crossfire.

Even the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recommend churches and other places of worship take preparedness measures around the year.

Measures include creating a plan and sharing it with congregants in case of an emergency, coordinating with local law enforcement and undergoing active shooter response training.

FEMA offers a security self-assessment checklist on its website. The government also offers grants for nonprofit security to cover the costs of physical safety measures.

Local governments throughout the country offer safety training programs for houses of worship.

But experts tell Fox News Digital churches are increasingly turning to security guards, whether armed or unarmed, and either volunteers or licensed professionals.

Of course, the synagogues are all already heavily armed.

Calvin Foster, who competed under the name of Scrub Brush, is the man in charge of affairs at the Fast Draw, and he sums up his political frustration.

The cities “don’t understand the life that we have out on this side of the state”, he says.

The majority of Oregon’s just over 4 million residents live on the western side of the Cascade Mountains, which run down the centre of the state. To the west lie high-density cities like Portland, Salem and Eugene, which in past years have voted largely Democratic. To the east are sparsely populated counties that have reliably voted Republican. Democrats have held the governorship since 1987.

The presidency of Donald Trump and the Covid pandemic have heightened divisions – with different groups starkly diverging on how they think the state should move forward. Crook county voted for Donald Trump, a Republican governor, against decriminalising drugs and against restrictions on gun ownership. The state went the other way every time.

Foster explains what he sees as the difference between west and east: that the culture out here is about family and guns. “I’ve grown up with guns, been shooting guns since I was probably five,” he said as we sat on the bleachers and watched the competition. “It’s a right that we’ve had and hopefully we keep forever.”

That life is one of farmers and ranchers, said Jim Bunch (competing as Jabberin’ Jim, a nickname his wife chose), a livelihood that he says city folk don’t appreciate. “People that think that livestock is bad, that cutting timber is bad, that farming is bad. They want to get rid of agriculture. They want to get rid of us being able to control our own lives.”

People here believe the other side is forcing their ideals on them. One thing that comes up again and again is not just “family” values, a nod to Oregon’s progressive stance on abortion and LGBTQ+ rights, but the green economy. Foster said electric cars were what really irk him. Larry Lansdowne, a shooter from Idaho, said he understood his neighbours’ frustration.

“We really don’t want you to come here and start telling us about why you can’t carry that gun or you need to drive an electric car,” he said. “We’ve been living this lifestyle for hundreds of years and we really just don’t want to change.”

The Greater Idaho movement was set up in 2019 and has campaigned to put its measures on the ballot. Its current proposal would see 14 counties move states, along with sections of three others. Originally, the plan included five more counties in south-western Oregon, but after two voted against the proposal, the movement scaled back its ambitions.

Moving the state lines is a tall order, given that both Oregon and Idaho legislatures would have to agree, along with the respective governors, and then for Congress to approve the matter. But the movement argues history shows this can happen. West Virginia was formed after separating from Virginia in 1863, and Maine was created by cutting itself off from Massachusetts in 1820.

I spoke with Matt McCaw, the group’s executive director. He and his wife lived in Portland, Oregon’s largest city, for 20 years before moving east because on “almost every issue”, abortion, LGBTQ+, guns, drugs, McCaw was opposed to the progressive measures enacted by state legislators. He said that while there had always been this urban-rural divide, it had become worse recently.

“Our whole country got more polarised with Donald Trump,” he said as we chatted at Smith Rock State Park. “And then Covid just drove a wedge through all of it. Oregon was very heavy on lockdowns. They closed schools. They forced masks on people. People in western Oregon wanted that. The people in eastern Oregon were opposed to those policies.”

McCaw and his wife are evangelical Christians, and faith is “first and foremost in every decision we make”, he said. “They were telling us, ‘You can’t go to church.’ Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that my government would say, ‘You can’t go to church.’” He said Covid showed him you need a government that aligns with your values. Idaho, McCaw said, fits that bill.

The problem, I put to McCaw, is that this would lead to a nation where democracy is redundant. Everyone would split into their Democratic and Republican states and just stick with it. The divided states of America.

“You’re saying we shouldn’t divide up, because that will cause things to be more polarised. But if you leave these people together, it’s not going to change. The two cultures are drifting further apart and want different things. If you continue to force people that want polar opposite things together, that is not a productive or healthy way to run a society.”

Universal background checks just dropped.

They are really pushing these things to the limit, no?

This is a massive escalation against the basic freedoms of the people.

The sale of firearms on the internet and at gun shows in the US will in future be subject to mandatory background checks, the justice department said on Thursday as it announced a “historic” new action to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals.

The closing of the so-called gun show loophole, which exempts private transactions from restrictions that apply to licensed dealers, has long been a goal of the Biden administration, and is specifically targeted in the rule published in the federal register today.

“Under this regulation, it will not matter if guns are sold on the internet, at a gun show, or at a brick-and-mortar store: if you sell guns predominantly to earn a profit, you must be licensed, and you must conduct background checks,” attorney general Merrick Garland told reporters on a press call announcing the measure.

“This regulation is a historic step in the justice department’s fight against gun violence. It will save lives.”

The rule, which clarifies who is considered to be “engaged in the business” as a firearms dealer, will take effect in 30 days’ time, and follows a three-month consultation period that attracted almost 388,000 comments to the website of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The White House estimates that 22% of guns owned by Americans were acquired without a background check and that about 23,000 more individuals will be required to be licensed as a dealer after the rule’s implementation.

“There is a large and growing black market of guns being sold by people in the business of dealing and doing it without a license, and therefore they are not running background checks the way the law requires,” ATF director Steven Dettelbach said.

“It’s not safe for innocent, law-abiding Americans. In fact, it’s doggone dangerous.”

Remember: anyone who talks about the Constitution as if it is somehow active is full of shit.

Every conservative who goes on and on about the Constitution is a liar and a fraud.

The Constitution has not been active since like, the Civil War.

They have banned all kinds of guns that the Constitution obviously protects. They have passed totally illegal gun control laws in cities. No city is allowed to pass a gun control law. And the government was never allowed to ban full-automatic weapons.

According to the Constitution, you can carry a concealed machine pistol – without any license to do so – on all public property in America. It’s been a very long time since the fed government allowed you to do that.

It’s the same thing with freedom of speech. If you look at what was done to Alex Jones – or to others who have been sued in civil court over what is obviously protected speech (it’s happened to several others) – then you have to admit that the First Amendment is no longer active, at all.

Pretending the Constitution is active simply plays into the hands of the enemy.

There is no Constitution. All that talking about the Constitution does is allow the enemy to claim they represent the Constitution. Actual defenders of America might call for the Constitution to be reinstated, but pretending like “it’s against the Constitution” is somehow a defense of anything is simply absurd.
