Teachers in New Jersey will no longer be required to pass a basic reading, writing and mathematics test to be eligible for public schools, according to a new law.

Act 1669, which was signed into law by Gov. Phil Murphy, D., in June, went into effect on Wednesday at the start of the new year. The law aims to tackle teacher shortages in the state by removing what the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), a teachers’ union, called a “barrier” to certification in 2023.

The law states, “[T]he State Board of Education shall not require a candidate seeking a certificate of eligibility, a certificate of eligibility with advanced standing, a provisional certificate, or a standard instructional certificate to complete a Commissioner of Education-approved test of basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills including, but not limited to, the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators test, in order to obtain a certificate of eligibility, a certificate of eligibility with advanced standing, a provisional certificate, or a standard instructional certificate.”

The Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators test is used by over 40 states and territories in the country and includes questions on English and mathematics as well as basic questions on specific subjects.

“We need more teachers. This is the best way to get them,” Democratic state Sen. Jim Beach argued when the bill was passed.

Over the past few years, multiple states have lowered standards for teacher certification to combat a nationwide shortage. In 2022, California enacted an emergency executive order to throw out the required traditional credentials for teachers to help recruit parents as substitutes.

Arizona enacted a similar order that year that allowed educators to begin teaching before graduating from college.

This whole “school” thing seems to have run its natural course.

I was never a big supporter, but now it just seems ridiculous to suggest that children deserve to be subjected to this.

The modern schooling system was set up as a babysitter, so women can work, and because it’s inexplicably illegal to have children working.

It’s time to get women out of the workplace and move children into the workplace.

In 2022, the Polish Ministry of Education and Science said, “The current challenges and threats require supplementing the goals of education and teaching content with issues related to state defense, acquiring shooting skills, and preparing students to cope with threats caused by hostilities.”

These Education Security classes were scheduled to start in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years.

Students do not train with live ammunition but with ball guns, air guns, replicas of small arms, and virtual or shooting guns with lasers where the green light signals a successful hit. Laser arms dealer Krzysztof Papadis has developed this system and selling it to over 18,000 schools in Poland, he told DW.

This news article (actually a tabloid news article) is claiming that is related to Poland’s planned war with Russia.

Maybe that’s true, I have no idea, but regardless, there is no downside to teaching children to use firearms.

Why would you not do that?

The Texas board of education voted 8-7 on Friday to approve a new Bible-based curriculum in elementary schools.

The curriculum, called “Bluebonnet Learning”, could be implemented as soon as August 2025 and affects English and language arts teaching material for kindergarten through fifth grade public school classes.

Teachers will have a choice to opt into the new faith-based learning curriculum, but the state is offering a financial incentive of $60 a student for participating school districts.

Parents, teachers and rights groups expressed outrage at the move that some say violates the US constitution and will alienate students and teachers of other faiths.

“The Bluebonnet curriculum flagrantly disregards religious freedom, a cornerstone of our nation since its founding. The same politicians censoring what students can read now want to impose state-sponsored religion on to our public schools,” said Caro Achar, engagement coordinator for free speech at the Texas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. “We urge districts to reject this optional curriculum and uphold a public school education that honors the religious diversity and constitutional rights of Texas students.”

A spokesperson for the Texas State Teachers Association, which is affiliated with the US’s largest labor union, the National Education Association, told the Guardian: “The implementation of this curriculum means grade-school children in schools that adopt the curriculum will receive what amounts to Christian Sunday school lessons in their public schools, something our public education system was not intended to provide and should not provide.

“Students who observe religions other than Christianity, in effect, will be discriminated against because their own religions will be all but ignored.”

Darcy Hirsh, the director of government relations and advocacy at the National Council of Jewish Women, the US’s oldest Jewish feminist civil rights organization, said in an interview with the Guardian: “As a Jewish organization, maintaining the separation of church and state is a key priority for us as it is the cornerstone of our democracy.”

Hirsh added she was “devastated” about “the Texas school board’s decision today to implement a curriculum that is based in the Bible, and even one specific interpretation of the Bible”.

In Russia, schools are allowed to teach the Bible.

There are only so many hours in the school day, so the funding for these programs has been pulled from other subjects. Therefore, the cost of the tranny and nigger indoctrination is actually zero, because schools are just taking money from math and science classes.

Attacks targeting American public schools over LGBTQ+ rights and education about race and racism cost those schools an estimated $3.2bn in the 2023-24 school year, according to a new report by education professors from four major American universities.

The study is believed to be the first attempt to quantify the financial impact of rightwing political campaigns targeting school districts and school boards across the US. In the wake of the pandemic, these campaigns first attempted to restrict how American schools educate students about racism, and then increasingly shifted to spreading fear among parents about schools’ policies about transgender students and LGBTQ+ rights.

Oh, yes. Fear is expensive. Especially when someone spreads it to you.

Researchers from UCLA, UT Austin, UC Riverside and American University surveyed 467 public school superintendents across 46 US states, asking them about the direct and indirect costs of dealing with these volatile campaigns. Those costs included everything from out-of-pocket payments to hire to lawyers or additional security, to the staff member hours devoted to responding to disinformation on social media, addressing parent concerns and replying to voluminous public records requests focused on the district’s teachings on racism, gender and sexuality.

Huh.

Schools hire staff to defend trannies on the internet? 

The campaigns that focused on public schools’ policies about transgender students often included lurid false claims about schools trying to change students’ gender or “indoctrinating” them into becoming gay. This disinformation sparked harassment and threats against individual teachers, school board members and administrators, with some of the fury coming from within local communities, and even more angry calls, emails and social media posts flooding in from conservative media viewers across the country.

In addition to the financial costs of responding to these targeted campaigns, the study revealed other dynamics, the researchers said. “The attack on public officials as pedophiles was one I heard again and again, from people across extremely different parts of the country: rural, urban, suburban. It speaks to the way that this really is a nationalized conflict campaign,” said John Rogers, an education professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the lead author of the study. The frequency with which both school board members and school superintendents were “being called out as sexual predators – it was really frightening”, Rogers said.

Superintendents from across the country told the researchers how these culture battles had affected their schools, and cut into resources they would have preferred to spend on education.

There is no other school subject that needs an expensive defense force.

Maybe it’s time these people just admitted that they went to far with the woke indoctrination campaign, that most parents simply do not want this and the parents that do can send their kids to some kind of faggot camp to learn about cutting off dicks?

Nearly 80% of US teachers say youngsters are not as prepared to start elementary school as in previous years — the most dismal percentage of any country taking part in the global survey.

About half the US teachers surveyed — 47% — blamed the lingering impact of COVID-19 disruptions for the setbacks involving their countries’ youngest pupils.

Teachers were asked in the poll, “From your experience, how do you think school readiness among children has changed in the last few years? Children are more ready for school than they were a few years ago? Children are just as school ready as they were a few years ago? Children are less ready for school than they were a few years ago”

A staggering 78% of US teachers said American students are less ready, only 4% said more ready, and 18% said just as ready or the same.

Most of the American educators noted that a significant proportion of 4- and 5-five-year-olds are unable to wash their hands, go to the toilet independently, identify numbers and letters or read simple words, including their own name.

The perceived lack of preparedness in the US was far worse than that cited by educators in the UK, the Netherlands, Brazil, South Africa and India, according to the poll conducted for the UK-based global children’s charity group Their World, in partnership with Hall & Partners.

By comparison, 60% of teachers in the UK said their youngest stucents were less ready, as did 64% of instructors in Brazil, and 55% in the Netherlands.

India bucked the trend, with 70% of teachers in the world’s most populous country saying students entering their schools were more prepared, as did 45% of South African educators.

A former food service director at a school district in the Chicago area has been sentenced to nine years in prison after admitting she stole $1.5 million worth of chicken wings, according to news reports.

Vera Liddell, who served in the director role for Harvey School District 152 near Chicago, is incarcerated at the Cook County Jail for theft and operating a criminal enterprise, WGN, ABC News and CBS News reported. She pleaded guilty on Aug. 9 to the charges and got a nine-year prison sentence, the outlets said, citing prosecutors.

The 68-year-old Liddell stole the mounds of meat intended to be take-home meals for students learning remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, WGN reported, citing Cook County prosecutors.

USA TODAY reached out to the Cook County District Attorney’s Office but did not immediately hear back Monday afternoon.

How did Vera Liddell steal the chicken wings?

Liddell’s job involved placing orders with Gordon Food Services, a main supplier for the school district, prosecutors said, according to ABC News. She placed the orders and did the billing but kept the chicken wings between July 2020 and February 2022, prosecutors said.

Between August and November 2021, Liddell ordered more than 11,000 cases of chicken wings from the food provider and then picked up the orders in a district cargo van, CBS News said, citing prosecutors.

“The massive fraud began at the height of COVID during a time when students were not allowed to be physically present in school,” read a proffer presented at Liddell’s bond hearing in 2023, according to WGN.

The chicken theft operation was discovered in 2023 when an audit found that the district’s food service department exceeded its annual budget by $300,000 halfway through the school year, prosecutors said, according to ABC News.

The business manager for the district then found the invoices for the chicken wings, which was odd because it is a food item that wouldn’t be served to students because they contain bones, the outlet said, citing court records.

A New Jersey high school teacher is accused of sexually assaulting a student on multiple times earlier this year — including in his car.

Julie Rizzitello, who resigned from her position as a teacher at Wall High School, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, three counts of criminal sexual contact and witness tampering, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago and Wall Township Police Chief Sean O’Halloran said in a joint statement.

Rizzitello, 36, and the student, who was 18, had multiple sexual encounters between April and June 14, according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by NJ.com.

The pair allegedly engaged in sexual acts in his car in Brick on May 14, and she later sent him nude photos, according to authorities.

Rizzitello and the teen also allegedly had sexual contact in Belmar and Wall, and shared “numerous” sexual communications with each other, according to the court document and prosecutors.

A government thinktank in South Korea has sparked anger after suggesting that girls start primary school a year earlier than boys because the measure could raise the country’s low birthrate.

A report by analysts at the Korea Institute of Public Finance said creating a one-year age gap between girls and boys at school would make them more attractive to each other by the time they reached marriageable age.

The claim is based on the idea that men are naturally attracted to younger women because men mature more slowly. Those women, in theory, would prefer to marry older men.

“Considering that the developmental level of men is slower than that of women, having females enter school one year earlier could potentially contribute to men and women finding each other more attractive when they reach the appropriate age for marriage,” the report on tackling the decline in the working population said.

It added: “If there is a willingness to marry, then a willingness to date can certainly be assumed. However, that does not necessarily lead to successful dating. To improve this, policies that could be included in this category are those that arrange meetups, improve social skills, and support self-development to boost one’s attractiveness to the opposite sex.”

The suggestion is one of several ideas put forward to address South Korea’s demographic situation.

Hundreds of New York City kids walked out of school Friday and staged a pro-Palestinian protest that was promoted by several radical teacher groups.

Some 350 students had descended on the Department of Education headquarters at the Tweed Courthouse in Lower Manhattan starting by 4 p.m..

They were seen waving signs on the front steps of the building calling for a cease-fire in Gaza and describing Israel’s military offensive on the region following the Oct. 7 terror attack as “genocide.”

The walkout was organized by Teachers Unite and a handful of other groups, including NYC Educators for Palestine, the Palestine Youth Movement, Al-AWDA NY, Movement of MORE Rank-&-File Educators, and Desis Rising Up and Moving, according to a protest toolkit viewed by The Post.

“I’m fighting for humanity, I don’t care what they do,” said another student from Stuyvesant High School, describing how they didn’t care about being punished by school brass for walking out.

The purpose of the walkout was to protect anti-Israel students and teachers “from unjust administrative retaliation and suspension,” Teachers Unite wrote online.

Teachers Unite also called for the city to redirect funding from policing and to implement lessons about Palestinian history in schools.

The kids are alright.

This is a movement and it is rising and there is nothing the Jews can do about it.

A Texas middle school student violently threw a teacher against the wall as he attacked a peer in front of the distraught students on Monday.

The teacher tried to break up the fight during an “isolated incident” between the peers at Hurshel Antwine Middle School in El Paso.

One student hurled a couple of punches at his classmate and grabbed the teacher, who inserted herself in between the students before he threw her aside and unleashed several more punches.

A third student started to punch the aggressor while the teacher got back to her feet and stopped the child from becoming involved in the fight.

Man, I wish my school was this fun.
