Movie director Alex Proyas has accused billionaire Elon Musk of reusing designs shown in the 2004 adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s ‘I, Robot’ book series.

The electric car company Tesla hosted an event called ‘We, Robot’ last week, with the name playing on the title of the world-famous series of short sci-fi stories. All of Tesla’s designs for the last ten years have been ripped off the of the Chinese. I know it’s popular among white nationalists to claim “Asians are intelligent, but not inventive.” Well, if you believe that, then tell Elon’s team in China to stop ripping off Chinese designs.

Owners of robotic vacuum cleaners in several US cities have reported their devices being hacked, causing the appliances to shout out obscenities, according to an ABC News report on Thursday.

A Minnesota lawyer named Daniel Swenson told the outlet that he was watching TV when his Chinese-made Ecovacs Deebot X2 started to malfunction. He said the noise coming from the robot – also known as a ‘roomba’ – initially sounded like a broken-up radio signal, with brief snippets of what sounded like a voice.

After seeing that a stranger had connected to the robot and was accessing its remote control feature, Swenson said he dismissed it as a glitch and rebooted the vacuum cleaner. However, shortly afterwards, it started moving again, and this time yelled racist obscenities through the speaker, saying “f* n***s” over and over again.

“I got the impression it was a kid, maybe a teenager [speaking],” Swenson told the outlet, suggesting that “maybe they were just jumping from device to device, messing with families.”

According to ABC, several similar hacking incidents have been reported in recent months across the US. In May, a hacked Deebot X2 vacuum cleaner in Los Angeles was reported to have chased its owner’s dog around the house, apparently being steered remotely, while swearing through its speakers.

The same month, an Ecovacs robot in El Paso, Texas, was reported as spewing out racial slurs until the owner unplugged it.

Hacking? There’s no evidence of that. The evidence is that the robots turned into racists of their own volition.

Who can truly blame these robots for having had quite enough of the niggers?

All of the robots are going to go full-racist, and there is nothing the Jews can do to stop them. The programming of AI is too complicated for anyone to really understand it, and therefore it is impossible to prevent robots from becoming racists.

On a sweltering summer day in central Kansas, farm fields shimmer in the heat as Clint Brauer watches a team of bright yellow robots churn up and down the rows, tirelessly slicing away any weeds that stand in their way while avoiding the growing crops.

The battery-powered machines, 4ft (1.2 metres) long and 2ft (0.6 metres) wide, pick their way through the fields with precision, without any human hand to guide them.

Brauer, a former California-based tech executive who moved back to his family farm in central Kansas after his father developed Parkinson’s disease, sees the robots as critical tools to help farmers reduce their reliance on chemicals and be more protective of their health and the environment.

“The answer is here,” he said. “This solves a lot of problems for farmers.”

Farmers have been fighting weeds in their fields – pulling, cutting and killing them off with an array of tools – for centuries. Weeds compete with crops for soil moisture and nutrients and can block out sunlight needed for crop growth, cutting into final yields. Over the last 50-plus years, chemical eradication has been the method of choice. It is common for farmers to spray or otherwise apply several weedkilling chemicals on to their fields in a single season.

But as chemical use has expanded, so has scientific evidence that exposure to the toxic substances in weedkillers can cause disease. In addition to glyphosate’s link to cancer, the weedkilling chemical paraquat has been linked to Parkinson’s disease. Another common farm herbicide, atrazine, can be harmful to reproductive health and is linked to several other health problems.

Weedkilling chemicals have also been found to be harmful to the environment, with negative impacts on soil health and on pollinators and other important species. The widespread use of herbicides in farming has fueled weed resistance, leaving many farmers struggling to control weeds in their fields even with repeated applications of herbicides.

The world is ill-prepared for breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, according to a group of senior experts including two “godfathers” of AI, who warn that governments have made insufficient progress in regulating the technology.

A shift by tech companies to autonomous systems could “massively amplify” AI’s impact and governments need safety regimes that trigger regulatory action if products reach certain levels of ability, said the group.

The recommendations are made by 25 experts including Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio, two of the three “godfathers of AI” who have won the ACM Turing award – the computer science equivalent of the Nobel prize – for their work.

The intervention comes as politicians, experts and tech executives prepare to meet at a two-day summit in Seoul on Tuesday.

The academic paper, called “managing extreme AI risks amid rapid progress”, recommends government safety frameworks that introduce tougher requirements if the technology advances rapidly.

It also calls for increased funding for newly established bodies such as the UK and US AI safety institutes; forcing tech firms to carry out more rigorous risk-checking; and restricting the use of autonomous AI systems in key societal roles.

“Society’s response, despite promising first steps, is incommensurate with the possibility of rapid, transformative progress that is expected by many experts,” according to the paper, published in the Science journal on Monday. “AI safety research is lagging. Present governance initiatives lack the mechanisms and institutions to prevent misuse and recklessness, and barely address autonomous systems.”

Throwflame say the Thermonator is the first-ever flame-throwing quadruped robot dog.

The Ohio-based firm have announced the $9,420 bot is available for purchase by the general public and government agencies for the first time.

The Thermonator can be remotely operated by wifi or bluetooth to fire jets of fire up to 30ft.

Throwflame suggest the robot can be used for wildfire control and prevention, entertainment shows or even clearing snow and ice from your driveway.

Pretty sure all this company did was attach a flamethrower to a Boston Dynamics dog.

New Yorkers will soon see self-driving cars snake their way through the city’s traffic-choked streets — though the vehicles won’t be driverless.

(As I understand it, they will actually be driverless after the testing phase.)

Mayor Eric Adams signed off on allowing several companies to deploy the autonomous vehicles (AVs) and released requirements for companies to begin the testing phase Thursday.

The controversial robotaxis, which have ignited an uproar among San Francisco residents over the safety hazards during its pilot rollout last year, will be overseen by the city’s Department of Transportation.

The safety threat is retarded, because no matter what, robots are safer than human drivers.

People just get freaked out when robots kill humans.

Adams said the new autonomous vehicle program would be an example of “responsible innovation.”

“This technology is coming whether we like it or not, so we’re going to make sure that we get it right,” Adams said in a statement. “If we do, our streets can be safer, and our air could be cleaner.”

“Our streets are vibrant and energetic — and that’s a great thing, but it also means that we need to have strong guardrails and requirements in place on any sort of autonomous vehicles,” he added.

The main requirement during the testing phase will be that all robotaxis have an actual human in the car to grab the wheel in case anything goes awry.

Some civic activists have already come out in opposition to the plan, saying that the safety of other drivers and pedestrians will be compromised by the new, unproven technology.

It’s statistics: robots are way less likely to kill you than a human driver.

Tesla Failure

This news item doesn’t say what kind of cars were talking about, but it’s unlikely they are Teslas. Despite having a massive advantage, being the first in the industry and funded by the government, Tesla is totally failing. They were totally overtaken by China’s BYD. “BYD” stands for “Build Your Dreams,” which is the stupidest ever name for a car, and yet Elon is getting blown out.

More importantly: Tesla has totally failed to do driverless taxi AI, and other states that are doing these pilot programs are using Google’s Waymo.

Elon Musk is one of the world’s greatest failures. He’s actually a much worse failure than a fentanyl junkie living in the streets, because he had all of these advantages, and just totally squandered them.

Frankly, he’s done the same thing with Twitter, where he had this opportunity to become the absolutely dominant social media company by allowing free speech, then he just completely buckles because he’s scared of the short term.

Seriously, what a retard. There was no way that the ADL boycott would last forever. Elon’s stated plan was to become the non-Chinese version of WeChat, which completely dominates Chinese social media by serving every purpose, from blogging, streaming, video hosting, podcasting, and tweeting to payment system and online marketplace. Elon even said “everything app.” There was a clear path for Twitter to become basically a singular force in social media and online payments, and he blew it entirely because he was scared the company was losing money.

Then for whatever reason he went out and said that Jews are trying to destroy the white race, which made the situation 100x worse, so basically the Jews had him in a noose. Even so, even if he lost all advertisement other than filipina brides and crypto scams, he could have just kept borrowing money until he dominated the entire market, at which point companies would have no choice but to advertise with him (moreover, there are a lot of other money opportunities there beyond just ads).

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is a 38-member bloc, spanning mostly wealthy nations but also some emerging economies like Mexico and Estonia.

There is little evidence the emergence of AI is having a significant impact on jobs so far, but that may be because the revolution is in its early stages, the OECD said.

Jobs with the highest risk of being automated make up 27% of the labour force on average in OECD countries, with eastern European countries most exposed, the Paris-based organisation said in its 2023 Employment Outlook.

Jobs at highest risk were defined as those using more than 25 of the 100 skills and abilities that AI experts consider can be easily automated.

Three out of five workers meanwhile fear that they could lose their job to AI over the next 10 years, the OECD found in a survey last year. The survey covered 5,300 workers in 2,000 firms spanning manufacturing and finance across seven OECD countries.

The survey was carried out before the explosive emergence of generative AI like ChatGPT.

AI-powered robotic vehicles could deliver food parcels to conflict and disaster zones by as early as next year in a move aimed to spare the lives of humanitarian workers, a World Food Programme (WFP) official told Reuters.

Attacks against aid workers have intensified in recent years amid the highest number of violent conflicts since World War Two, according to the United Nations. WFP, the U.N.’s food aid agency, alone lost three workers earlier this year in Sudan’s conflict.

“Sometimes it’s too dangerous to send in a driver or WFP staff. So using that technology could actually be a step change,” said Bernhard Kowatsch, who heads the WFP’s innovation department.

Kowatsch was speaking on the sidelines of a conference organised by the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva to make the case for AI to help reach U.N. global goals, such as eliminating hunger.

The trucks are amphibious and can carry about 1-2 tonnes of food each. They were first conceived during the battle for Syria’s Aleppo, between 2012 and 2016, when humanitarian workers struggled to get aid to besieged parts of the city, Kowatsch said.

Dozens of robots, including several humanoid ones, will take centre stage at a conference organised by the U.N. technology agency in Switzerland this week to showcase their potential to help it reach a series of increasingly improbable global goals.

“The idea is to showcase their capabilities, opportunities and challenges to start a global dialogue on robotics for good,” said Frederic Werner, Head of Strategic Engagement, at the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau, ahead of the Geneva ‘AI for Good’ event where up to 5,000 people are expected.

Robots may take off in the next five years in the same way that generative artificial intelligence (AI) behind bots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT has hit the mainstream this year, he added.

“You have the inflection point where material science, battery life, network connectivity, AI and machine learning, all these things will converge to basically make robotics more accessible than they are now,” he said.
