How the fuck is Scholz’s party still polling at 17%

You’ve seen these people do everything to stop AfD.

But wait until AfD wins the elections. Then you’re really going to see some very serious shit, for real.

European Conservative:

Public broadcasters are unashamedly taking sides in Germany’s national elections by effectively blocking the second most popular party, the right-wing, anti-immigration Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) from participating in the main TV debate.

The channels ARD and ZDF have decided to only invite Chancellor Olaf Scholz—the Social Democrats’ lead candidate—and opposition leader Friedrich Merz of the centre-right CDU to take part in a live televised debate on February 9th next year. Their reasoning: the CDU/CSU alliance is clearly ahead of all the other parties in opinion polls, and Merz is Scholz’s main rival.

The opposition alliance may be clearly leading in opinion polls (it is currently at 31.5%), but it is not Scholz’s SPD—at 16.5%—but the right-wing AfD that has been consistently in second place for the past one-and-a-half years. It currently has the support of a fifth (19.5%) of the electorate, which should merit a place for its lead candidate, Alice Weidel, in the televised debate. A spokesman for the party said they would sue the broadcasters for failing to take the party seriously.

The AfD’s lesbian warlord is polling above Scholz

The party was sidelined in 2021, too, when ARD and ZDF invited Scholz and the lead candidates of the CDU and the Greens to take part in the debate.

The AfD does not have a real chance of entering government, because all the other parties refuse to cooperate with it, but it is not the job of the publicly funded media—which are supposed to be neutral and politically impartial—to decide AfD’s fate.

The right-wing party was not the only one that expressed its furore at being ignored. The Greens, who are a part of the outgoing government, are polling at 11.5% in fourth place, and also demand a place at the debate. ARD and ZDF had originally intended for their lead candidate, Robert Habeck, to debate AfD’s Alice Wiedel in a separate TV programme, but Habeck declined the invitation.

Germany is occupied by the US military.

They are not allowed to have an independent government policy.

Germany will not be free until they can get rid of the Fatmerican Police Squad that occupies them and loose themselves from this ridiculous and abusive democracy system.

Shit’s gonna get bad no matter the election results

Germany: Politicians Filing Thousands of Legal Complaints Against People for Saying Mean Words https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/11/26/germany-politicians-filing-thousands-of-legal-complaints-against-people-for-saying-mean-words/ Tue, 26 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000
Annalena Baerbock and Robert Habeck, both from the “Green” party

You can’t just say mean things to people. It’s against the law of democracy.

In democracy, everyone is nice all the time, even if they’re verging on complete mental breakdown. If you don’t like it, then vote for the mean person who says mean things to others.

European Conservative:

Over the past three years, more than 1,300 citizens in Germany have faced legal proceedings for allegedly insulting public officials. The surge in cases, particularly under the current coalition government led by the Social Democrats (SPD), Greens, and Free Democrats (FDP), has prompted a nationwide debate over the limits of free speech.

Data obtained by Apollo News shows a sharp increase in such cases, with Green Party ministers Robert Habeck, the vice chancellor, and Annalena Baerbock, the foreign minister, filing a combined total of over 1,300 complaints. Many of these involve comments, memes, or social media posts deemed defamatory under Section 188 of the German Criminal Code.

One of the most controversial cases involved a 64-year-old pensioner from Bavaria, Stefan Niehoff, whose home was raided by police last week after he posted a meme calling Habeck an “imbecile.” Niehoff described the early-morning raid, during which his devices were confiscated, as reminiscent of practices in authoritarian regimes. According to prosecutors, the raid was prompted solely by the meme, which was interpreted as an effort to undermine Habeck’s role in government.

Habeck defended the action, asserting that such insults go beyond acceptable criticism. Earlier this week, he called for tighter regulations on social media to combat disinformation and enforce “rules of decency and democracy.” Critics warn that such measures curtail legitimate dissent and satire.

…

The use of Section 188 to prosecute alleged insults has increased nationwide. In Münster, investigations rose from 17 in 2021 and 2022 combined to 137 in 2024. Halle witnessed similar growth, with cases jumping from 11 in 2022 to 81 so far this year.

This is a democracy. We have rules. One of those rules is decency. The other rule is democracy.

You can’t just say mean things.

The women in charge said “no,” and just like your real mommy, you have to do what they say.

Germany’s Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, holding a sign that says “I hate free speech.” The guy who made this meme is probably going to jail.

Germany: Police Raids Man’s Home for Retweeting Mean Meme About “Green” Politician https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/11/15/germany-police-raids-mans-home-for-retweeting-mean-meme-about-green-politician/ Fri, 15 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000

This is a democracy.

You can’t just say mean things on the internet.

That’s a total defilement of our values.

Remix:

After a 64-year-old pensioner retweeted a meme of Green Economy Minister Robert Habeck, in which Habeck was described as an “idiot,” Bavarian police raided the man’s house and arrested him. The crime has even been recorded as a “politically motivated right-wing crime.”

The man is accused of distributing a photo of Habeck via retweet, where Habeck is described as an “idiot.” The Bamberg prosecutor’s office indicates that this constitutes a federal criminal offense of “hatred.”

“At a time that cannot currently be specified in more detail in the days or weeks before June 20, 2024, the accused published an image file using the account that shows a portrait of Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck with the title ‘Schwachkopf PROFESSIONAL’, based on the advertising campaign of the Schwarzkopf company, in order to generally defame Robert Habeck and to make it more difficult for him to work as a member of the federal government,” read the prosecutor’s statement.

Schwachkopf generally means “idiot,” in German.

The rival Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has reposted the meme on X, writing in a statement:

“While Habeck presents himself as a ‘people-friendly’ candidate for chancellor, his critics are being relentlessly pursued. They do not shy away from conducting house searches on sleeping families just because the father of the family shared this Schwachkopf graphic. This is what would happen to Germany under a Chancellor Habeck: the complete restriction of freedom of expression by a children’s book author who displayed maximum incompetence for three and a half years, but still feels called to greater things,” wrote the AfD.

The person who was arrested told the NIUS news outlet that he could never have imagined “that it would come to this.” This has “definitely GDR flavor,” he said, referring to communist East Germany and its Stasi police force.

Nius also reports that “criminal police officers were deployed across Germany on Tuesday for the day of action against hate postings, warning social media users their homes would be searched and electronic devices confiscated. In over 90 investigations, more than 50 homes were searched, and there were 127 police actions in total.”

“When the police are at the door, every perpetrator realizes that hate crimes have consequences,” Interior Minister Faeser wrote on X.

Faeser’s post also mentions “Jew hate”(Judenhass)

Those who criticize the Green party in Bavaria have faced prosecution before. A businessman, Michael Much, put up posters mocking members of the federal government, including Habeck and then Green party leader Ricarda Lang. He also had his house searched and the posters confiscated. The prosecutor was defeated in court, which determined the posters were a legitimate form of freedom of expression.

Yeah, it’s nice to win a case like that. After having your entire life destroyed, it’s a nice feeling to not have to go to prison.

Germany: Man Fined €6000 for Billboard Making Fun of Green Politicians https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/03/19/germany-man-fined-e6000-for-billboard-making-fun-of-green-politicians/ Tue, 19 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000

It’s really weird that Europe is so obsessed with destroying their own economy – including their ability to produce food – while also constantly escalating what appears to be an attempt to start a war with Russia.

Very weird.

Macron is openly saying he wants NATO to fight Russia, i.e. he wants a Europe-wide war, which would inevitably draw in both the US and China. You’d think that part of his program in demanding this would be to call for an end to these EU regulations designed to prevent the production of food.

“We’re going to need food during this massive war I want to start” would be a reasonable thing for Macron to argue at this point.

Remix:

A 52-year-old German entrepreneur has been fined for putting up a political billboard depicting Green party politicians in a negative light.

The billboard, which was erected in front of the house of German businessman Michael Much, mocked the top Green party heads. Green Party leader Ricarda Lang is pictured on a concrete roller, while Economics Minister Robert Habeck has empty pockets. Underneath the politicians is the slogan: “We’ll flatten everything.” Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is also depicted as a little girl, a reference to her lack of foreign policy experience.

The poster also contains a widely mocked quote by Habeck, when he said: “Companies don’t go bankrupt, they just stop producing.” In response to this, the billboard asks provocatively: “Can he even count to three?”

Much is now being forced to pay a €6,000 fine, a fine he does not accept on the grounds that his right to freedom of speech was violated.

The billboard was erected during the last Bavarian state election campaign, and the posters were clearly visible from the street.

When issuing the fine, the court wrote that Much had “injured” the parties depicted in his billboard.

“In addition, as you at least accepted with approval, the statements on the banners were likely to make the public work of the injured parties considerably more difficult, especially in view of the state election campaign in Bavaria that was taking place at that time,” read the court’s statement.

Michael Much must now reappear in Miesbach District Court in Bavaria over his billboard after his appeal. The businessman said that he had grounds for exercising political speech, however, the court itself is using this as grounds to convict him. The court argues that he mocked the politicians “because they hold a prominent position in public life as politicians.”

In many other Western countries, such as the U.S., such political speech would be protected under freedom of speech rights. Germany itself also claims to have a number of freedom of speech protections built into its legal code and constitution.

…

“You will be completely overwhelmed by the costs. It starts with electricity. Then, the diesel. The cost of spare parts, if they are available at all. The supply chain is broken. There are missing sectors. It’s not going well anymore,” he said to Welt in an interview.

Banning the mocking of politicians is really hardcore. At least when you’re going around talking about how authoritarianism is evil daddyism.

That said, the billboard is super-mean. So maybe it makes sense.

There are a lot of good reasons to not like these people
