I’m shocked to find that these people in the media/government/academy are lying to me again.

I thought at some point, they would have to say something truthful. But apparently not.

The Guardian:

The chances of a person developing type 2 diabetes can increase even if they eat red meat just two times a week instead of an alternative option, researchers have said.

Replacing red meat with plant-based protein sources, such as nuts and legumes, may reduce the chances of developing the condition and would also help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and tackle climate change, according to experts at Harvard University.

Type 2 diabetes is one of the world’s fastest growing major health threats. Its prevalence has risen sharply everywhere in the last three decades, according to the World Health Organization.

More than 400 million people have been diagnosed, but millions more are estimated to be in the dark about the fact they have the condition. It is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke and lower limb amputation.

Research increasingly suggests that one of the main things you can to do lower your risk of type 2 diabetes, as well maintaining a healthy weight, is improve your diet.

Previous studies have indicated a link between red meat consumption and type 2 diabetes risk, but researchers say new research by Harvard adds a greater level of certainty about the association.

In the study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers looked at health data from 216,695 people from the Nurses’ Health Study, Nurses’ Health Study II, and Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS) in the US.

People were asked to complete questionnaires about their diet every two to four years, for up to 36 years. During this time, more than 22,000 of them developed type 2 diabetes.

That seems very reliable.

I too remember perfectly everything I’ve eaten in the past 2 years.

Those who ate the most red meat had a 62% higher risk of developing the condition compared with those who ate the least.

The research suggests that every additional daily serving of processed red meat was associated with a 46% greater chance of developing type 2 diabetes. Every additional daily serving of unprocessed red meat was associated with a 24% greater risk, the study found.

First author Xiao Gu, postdoctoral research fellow in the department of nutrition at Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health, said: “Our findings strongly support dietary guidelines that recommend limiting the consumption of red meat, and this applies to both processed and unprocessed red meat.”

It’s really strange that this new science information coincidentally lines up with the global warming austerity agenda.

YouTube is filled with people reversing type 2 diabetes using carnivore or meat-heavy keto diets.

What does The Science say about them?

The basic fact is this: red meat is the single healthiest food of all.

Other than maybe fish. Depending on the type and sourcing.

Eating Lamb and Beef is VITAL Because Plants are Losing Their Nutritional Value, Expert Warns https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/01/07/eating-lamb-and-beef-is-vital-because-plants-are-losing-their-nutritional-value-expert-warns/ Tue, 07 Jan 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Pomidor Quixote

Proponents of plant-based diets love to show you charts about the nutritional contents of the foods they eat.

Ignoring for a moment the fact that just because a plant has some nutrients doesn’t mean that people can easily absorb them, do these plants even really have the nutrition that it’s claimed they have?

Are these plants even as nutritious as they were in the time of our great-grandfathers?

The Guardian:

Advocates of red meat will begin a fightback against the growth of veganism this week at the UK’s biggest farming conference, with claims that eating lamb and beef is vital because some plants and fish are being drained of their nutrition.

In a speech at the Oxford Farming Conference, Alice Stanton will tell ministers, farmers and environmentalists that key nutrients in some fruits, vegetables and grains have dropped by up to 50% over 50 years.

Stanton, professor of cardiovascular pharmacology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, said nutrition levels had dropped because farmers were trying to meet a demand for cheap food. “For plant-based foods, there’s been drops in vitamins and key electrolytes by up to 50% over the past 50 years because of the genetic selection for large volume and uniformity of shape and appearance, so the things look good on the shelves. There hasn’t been selection for nutrient content,” she told the Observer.

Consider that even if you add problems such as soil depletion to the issue of a lack of selection for nutrient content, by virtue of being higher up in the food chain than plants, lambs and cows will accumulate more nutrients during their short lifetimes.

As long as their food intake is controlled, it should be possible to leave out the things that we don’t want them to accumulate, such as mercury and other poisonous substances — which are important reasons why people are urged to avoid fish that are high up in the food chain.

This nutrient accumulation thing is what makes the fat and livers of healthy animals pretty nutritious foods, as both adipose tissue and the liver store fat-soluble vitamins and other nutrients.

“I’m not against vegetarianism or veganism,” Stanton said. “It is possible to have a balanced diet with vegetarianism. It’s a little bit more challenging but still possible with veganism. However, it requires a lot of knowledge and effort, which doesn’t happen in the majority of the population. People don’t have time to invest in getting a really balanced diet through a range of plant-based foods.”

Last year, the EAT-Lancet Commission, a group of 37 leading scientists, said that people in Europe and North America should reduce red meat consumption by about 80%, allowing for one beefburger and two servings of fish per week. Stanton said she “totally agreed” with its proposal for people to eat more pulses, nuts, fruits and vegetables.

It doesn’t appear to be possible to have a balanced diet without animal products, as even vegan YouTube personalities eating a wide variety of expensive plant foods and supplements on a daily basis are visibly deteriorated and look terrible overall.

The question shouldn’t be whether nuts, fruits, and vegetables are healthy foods to eat or not, but whether only eating those is enough to sustain human health or not. Real-world evidence — meaning evidence outside the realm of abstract lab-measured numbers — strongly suggests that it isn’t.

“Absolutely, we need to address greenhouse gas emissions. But I’m concerned about the dramatic reduction in red meat consumption being regarded as the solution,” she said. Eating red meat in moderation – “twice to four times a week” – was “protective against heart attacks, strokes and cancer”, while nutrients in red meat were vital for children in the first three years of life, she added.

Stanton said plants were not the only foods declining in nutrional value. Studies also that show omega-3 fatty acid levels in Scottish farmed salmon have also dropped by half.

Organ meats are probably the foods that offer the most bang for your buck, and well-meaning experts are starting to promote them.

These were once greatly popular and sought-after foods that have fallen into dietary obscurity in the Goyfeed Era of hyper-stimulating, advertisement-backed edibles.

Deniers of organ meat supremacy will often resort to “yeah, these foods may be nutritious, but they’ll kill you because of cholesterol and carcinogenic blah blah blah and stuff.”

It is critical to remember that most popular and official dietary advice is the result of cargo cult behavior and that most diet-related studies suggest but don’t prove.

Researchers may look at people who eat a lot of red meat and “follow” their dietary habits for some years, then draw conjectures and conclusions based on what happened to the study subjects over the years, but they won’t put people in a controlled environment and feed them a natural diet akin to what people ate 100 years ago because that would be ridiculously difficult and against their scientific ethics or whatever.

Similarly, they may look at healthy people and inquire about their eating habits, then suggest people do the same to get the same benefits.

This results in a lot of conflicting advice that can quickly demoralize the people closely following all of these different studies without keeping in mind their flawed nature.

In this context is where a pragmatic, philosophical, and simpler dietary approach really shines.

Eat the foods that your great-grandparents would have instantly recognized as food.

The further back we look, the more we enter the realm of conjecture and the more uncertainty increases, but we do have pictures and records of the people who lived about a hundred years ago and they were definitely healthier than the people we normally see nowadays.

We can and should learn from our past.

Have you ever wondered if there’s a magical potion or something able to put a cute face on Iggy Pop’s body?

No?

Okay, but you should know that such a concoction exists and it is called “veganism.”

Let’s talk BODY CONFIDENCE… – It may seem like I’m really damn confident in my body, but in reality- no one is. But here are a few things I actively do to try and boost my self love💓 – 1) This account! Posting pictures, videos etc really have helped me into accepting myself! This is not only due to all your wonderful comments, but primarily from the fact that a lot of the time when I’m posting these, I’m feeling super insecure that day. By doing this you are going against that insecurity and allowing yourself to embrace how you look no matter what your mind is telling you! 2) Yoga! Yoga is so great for increasing bodily awareness and connecting your mind to your body and allowing yourself to let go of all the negative thoughts that you may have surrounding it. @bohobeautifullife has an amazing YouTube channel and many videos which really help you to relax and allow you to be at peace with your body and take awareness into any negative thoughts surrounding it, and letting them go. This has to be my number one thing that has truly helped me and change my perception towards myself! I do yoga every night and have done for over a year now. 3) Thank your body! Yes I know- so cringe, but really, it’s so important to take the time out of your day to thank your body for what it allows you to do. Never take getting out of bed and being able to walk, function, learn and grow for granted. We are so blessed to be alive and be able to do those things, and all of us need to practice gratitude and self love as we only have one body, one life and one opportunity to live it and thrive. – I hope this has helped in some way as it’s so important to care for yourself, and love and accept yourself, remember- our bodies are not a reflection of who we are. They are a temple and we need to nourish, worship and allow for peace within them🙏🏽 – #veganfit #fitspo #fitness #fitfam #veganbodybuilding #workout #plantbased #workouts #workoutmotivation #fitnessmotivation #fitnessmodel #abs #absworkout #health #gym #girlswholift #plantpower #protein #motivation #muscle #biceps #obliques #weights #strength #goals #gymshark #gymsharkwomen #gymsharktrain #selflove #bodyposi

Thankfully, brave scientists have now figured out a way to prevent teenage girls from turning into Iggy Pop.

Daily Mail:

There is no reason to cut back on red meat for health reasons, according to a controversial claim by a group of leading scientists.

Researchers in Canada, Spain and Poland have cast a shadow over eating advice adopted by health organisations around the world.

In a landmark paper, the academics analysed past studies of how eating meat affected the health of more than four million people.

They found no evidence that eating beef, pork and lamb could increase the rates of heart disease, cancer, stroke or type 2 diabetes – despite fears.

And the team also said they found nothing strong enough to signal that people should cut down on red meat, adding that the quality of evidence was too low for findings to be concerning.

Officials have for years tried to encourage diet changes – guidelines recommend people limit themselves to 70g of red meat a day – the equivalent of one lamb chop, one pork sausage, half a beef burger, or one-and-a-half rashers of bacon.

The medical community is torn over the research, describing it as ‘very good quality’ but hesitating to agree with telling people to cut back on meat.

The study was a series of five reviews of past research, carried out by scientists from the Dalhousie and McMaster universities in Canada as well as the Cochrane research centres in Spain and Poland.

It considered 61 studies which had monitored the health of more than four million people, as well as 12 which trialled changing the diets of about 54,000.

The team found the results of past research were of too poor a quality to make any suggestions about the way people lived their lives.

As a result, a panel of 14 experts from seven countries said people should continue to eat the current average amount of red meat.

This was between three and four portions per week for North Americans and Europeans, they said.

Study author Bradley Johnston, associate professor at Dalhousie, said: ‘Based on the research, we cannot say with any certainty that eating red or processed meat causes cancer, diabetes or heart disease.’

But it can’t possibly be the goyfeed that’s causing the cancer, so it must be the meat.

Makes sense, right? You are what you eat, so if you eat a dead animal, you turn into a dead animal.

Experts are divided on whether to agree with the paper or to err on the side of caution.

Professor Tim Key, from the University of Oxford, said: ‘There’s substantial evidence that processed meat can cause bowel cancer – so much so that the World Health Organization has classified it as carcinogenic since 2015.

…

Dr David Nunan, also a professor at Oxford, said: ‘A recommendation to reduce consumption will at best move more people to the average.

‘And if that also means some move from average to below average this is unlikely, for most, to lead to harm in terms of health outcomes.

‘But again, that is if we believe the findings, which the authors of the current studies put little belief in.

‘All this says nothing about individual risk, as even if we believe that at best 12 out of 1,000 people who consume slightly less red or processed meat will be saved from a bad health outcome, no one can ever predict if you will be one of those 12.’

Turn 1,000 people vegan to save 12 weirdos whose bodies gave up when digesting some lamb?

Sounds like sound, settled science. After all, these are human lives we’re talking about here!

So just turn everyone into malnourished, sluggish, mentally-handicapped bags of kindness.

The World Health Organization classes red meat as probably cancer-causing and processed meat as carcinogenic, meaning it’s definitely linked to the cancer.

The NHS says eating a lot of red meat ‘probably increases your risk of bowel cancer’.

Cancer Research UK says three chemicals in meat are linked to bowel cancer because they damage cells in the gut.

Dr Giota Mitrou, director of research at the World Cancer Research Fund, said: ‘It is important to remember that consumption of red and processed meat is one component of our overall diet and exercise pattern and it’s unlikely that specific foods are important single factors in causing or protecting against cancer.

‘Instead, different patterns of diet and physical activity throughout life combine to make you more or less susceptible to cancer.’

No, it’s definitely the meat!

Stop being violent by eating meat! GO VEGAN!
