These people literally poisoned the entirety of the Asian-Pacific ocean territory that all Asians eat out of, and really poisoned the whole world, and they somehow have the nerve to go out and complain about harassing phone calls?

Truman was right about the nips.

Reuters:

Japan said on Monday that many harassing phone calls were received in the country, likely from China, regarding the release of treated radioactive water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific, and called it “extremely regrettable”.

Japan started the water discharge on Thursday in a key step toward decommissioning the Fukushima plant, which suffered triple meltdowns after being hit by a tsunami in 2011 following a powerful earthquake. China strongly opposes the discharge.”A lot of harassment phone calls believed to be originating from China are occurring in Japan … These developments are extremely regrettable and we are concerned,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno, the chief government spokesman, told a regular news conference.

Well, a lot of people regret that you poisoned the ocean.

And they’re also concerned about it.

Such calls prompted vice foreign minister Masataka Okano to summon the Chinese ambassador, Japan’s foreign ministry said.

OMG.

In a statement, the ministry said the calls were also occurring at Japanese facilities in China, and urged the government to take appropriate action promptly and ensure the safety of Japanese citizens.

China’s foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

He shouldn’t respond, save for maybe by tweeting out this image:

There is no other response.

The Fukushima city hall started receiving calls with country code 86, which is for China, on Thursday, and the number of such calls exceeded 200 the following day, flooding phone lines and disrupting city employees’ ordinary work, a city official said.

On the same day, elementary and junior high schools in the city, 60 km (38 miles) northwest of the crippled plant, received 65 similar calls, he said.

When a person who understands Chinese took one of those calls, the caller made a comment to the effect that, “Why are you releasing tainted water into the Pacific Ocean, which is a sea for everyone,” the official said.

Do you notice this pattern that I’ve noticed: that in every single case of a world event, China is on the right side?

“Why are you releasing tainted water into the Pacific Ocean, which is a sea for everyone?”

China is not a Christian country, so I don’t necessarily endorse everything they believe or whatever (I disagree with the idea of a coronavirus pandemic, for example – though they were much less extreme than the West and even though their vaccine appears to have been safe, they said it was a human right to refuse it), but in every single situation where there is a global issue being discussed, China is on the right side.

Right-wingers will pick at certain things the Chinese said – like when Antony Blinken accused them of genociding the Uyghurs (“wiggers”), they said Americans are genociding black people. Obviously, that’s not a geopolitical issue, so it doesn’t apply to my point that they’re always on the right side of geopolitical issues, but if you think about it for three seconds outside of neocon anti-China propaganda, it’s a totally hilarious way to respond to these idiotic claims of an invisible genocide in Shingiang.

But seriously: find a geopolitical issue China is on the wrong side of. You can’t do it.

If you look at a map, Japan is really close to both Korea(s) and China.

It’s crazy they were allowed to just dump their nuclear poison in the ocean.

There are even libertarian cult rules about not dumping chemicals into a river that flows only someone else’s property. I can’t remember what it’s called (they have terms for everything), but this is some form of a violation of the non-aggression principle (NAP).

Reuters:

Protesters gathered in the capital of South Korea on Saturday to demand that the government take steps to avoid what they fear is a looming disaster from Japan’s release of treated radioactive water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Japan began dumping the water from the plant north of Tokyo into the sea on Thursday despite objections both at home and abroad from fishing communities and others worried about the environmental impact.

“We will not be immediately seeing disasters like detecting radioactive materials in seafood but it seems inevitable that this discharge would pose a risk to the local fishing industry and the government needs to come up with solutions,” said Choi Kyoungsook of the Korea Radiation Watch group that organised the rally.

About 50,000 people joined the protest, according to the organisers.

Japan says it needs to start releasing the water as storage tanks holding about 1.3 million metric tons of it – enough to fill 500 Olympic-sized swimming pools – are full.

The first discharge of 7,800 cubic metres – equivalent to about three Olympic pools – will take place over about 17 days.

This is serious.

I mean, maybe they’re just looking for a reason to protest the nips. I haven’t actually looked into the arguments about what dumping this poisoned water is going to do, in theory. I’m sure Japan is just saying that the ocean is so big it doesn’t make a difference.

Japan was also no doubt saying there was nothing else they could do with that much water.

Americans could obviously just put it in lead tanks and drive it out to Nevada, but Japan is a tiny island where they do not have dumping grounds.

They could have, in theory, just kept in wherever it was indefinitely, I would think.

In general, I’d say this nuclear radiation stuff is overstated by a lot. I don’t think if there was a nuclear war, it would be like the Fallout games. Hiroshima has negligibly higher cancer rates, and this whole “nuclear winter” bullshit is just made up.

There was a lot of hype during the Cold War, because both sides were telling their populations that war would “annihilate all life on earth.” It was a mutually assured hoax. So everything related to “nuclear” has a lot of hype.

The global warmers are also attacking nuclear because it destroys their very profitable windmill scam.

But I’ll always side against the sneaky japs.

It’s shocking that all countries are not banning Japanese sea food.

Why would you want to eat radiation?

Reuters:

Japan started releasing treated radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean on Thursday, a polarising move that prompted China to announce an immediate blanket ban on all aquatic products from Japan.

China is “highly concerned about the risk of radioactive contamination brought by… Japan’s food and agricultural products,” the customs bureau said in a statement.

The Japanese government signed off on the plan two years ago and it was given a green light by the U.N. nuclear watchdog last month. The discharge is a key step in decommissioning the Fukushima Daiichi plant after it was destroyed by a tsunami in 2011.

Plant operator Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco) said the release began at 1:03 p.m. local time (0403 GMT) and it had not identified any abnormalities.

However, China reiterated its firm opposition to the plan and said the Japanese government had not proved that the water discharged would be safe.

“The Japanese side should not cause secondary harm to the local people and even the people of the world out of its own selfish interests,” its foreign ministry said in a statement.

Tokyo has in turn criticised China for spreading “scientifically unfounded claims.”

It maintains the water release is safe, noting that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has also concluded that the impact it would have on people and the environment was “negligible.”

Japan has requested that China immediately lift its import ban on aquatic products and seeks a discussion on the impact of the water release based on science, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters.

Japan exported about $600 million worth of aquatic products to China in 2022, making it the biggest market for Japanese exports, with Hong Kong second. Sales to China and Hong Kong accounted for 42% of all Japanese aquatic exports in 2022, according to government data.

Seriously – check the background info on your seafood before you but it.

I would not eat this stuff.

Obviously, if you’re in America or Europe, it’s just going to be frozen stuff, but that’s the way a lot of people buy seafood and Japan ships all over the world.

At least for a year or so, I would not eat this.

Japan has committed an international environmental crime by dumping this poison into the ocean, but I do not expect Greta to comment.

Japan: Government to Start Dumping Radioactive Water from Fukushima Into the Ocean https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/08/23/japan-government-to-start-dumping-radioactive-water-from-fukushima-into-the-ocean/ Wed, 23 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000

The Chinese are complaining about this, which is probably why the Japanese are doing it.

BBC:

Japan will start releasing treated radioactive water from the tsunami-hit Fukushima nuclear plant into the Pacific Ocean on Thursday, despite opposition from its neighbours.

The decision comes weeks after the UN’s nuclear watchdog approved the plan.

Some 1.34 million tonnes of water – enough to fill 500 Olympic-size pools – have accumulated since the 2011 tsunami destroyed the plant.

The water will be released over 30 years after being filtered and diluted.

The Japs were so serious about proving the water is safe they created a kawaii little mascot for it called Mr. Tritium, but he didn’t catch on unfortunately.

I think they should reboot the idea, but instead of just a mascot they should make a 200+ episode anime battle shounen about how Tritium regrets giving people cancer, and redeems himself by fighting the PFAs in the ocean.

They could hire that guy who wrote Naruto to do the script, he’s got nothing better to do anyway.

*fingers crossed*

People Fear Contaminated Water from Minnesota Nuclear Power Plant Leak https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/04/07/people-fear-contaminated-water-from-minnesota-nuclear-power-plant-leak/ Fri, 07 Apr 2023 00:00:00 +0000

I seriously don’t even know what I’m supposed to be writing about these ongoing toxic leaks.

No one has any information about why this is happening, we are all just seeing in the news that it is happening all the time for unknown reasons.

The Guardian:

In December, Janica Jammes started a microgreens business in the basement of her home in Big Lake, Minnesota, just across the river from Xcel Energy’s nuclear plant in Monticello.

At least once each day, she uses water from her well to nourish the plant trays. She delivers her product to customers within a 10-mile radius and says the business has been a success.

But now she worries that her water could be contaminated by a leak of about 400,000 gallons of radioactive water that occurred in November at the plant, which is about 40 miles north-west of Minneapolis.

Moreover, Jammes is upset that the company did not alert the public about the leak until March – and then detected a second leak, which the company described as smaller than the first one.

“We don’t know for sure if” side effects from the leaks “will happen or when anything will happen but just the lack of transparency is very concerning”, said Jammes, a 36-year-old mother of four.

While Xcel Energy representatives have said the leaks did not affect local drinking water or pose a safety threat to residents, residents such as Jammes want more answers from the company.

Independent nuclear energy experts agree that the company should have been more transparent, but they say that based on reports from state and federal agencies, they also do not think the leaks pose a health risk to residents or that the incidents will serve as a significant setback to efforts to promote the carbon-free power source in the US.

It can’t be a coincidence. This is happening everywhere, constantly, so it cannot be a coincidence.

What then is this?

Don’t worry. America is totally fine, and we are really developing nicely on the way to utopia.

Sure, we might be accidentally dumping radioactive waste into the environment, but on the flip side, we have a booming child tranny industry rivaled by none.

China and Russia can say “you don’t look that well, you’re having all these disasters and your banking system is collapsing.” But to that I reply: “show me your child trannies.”

I’ll take a nuclear wasteland filled with frolicking child trannies over a clean environment with nothing but CIS scum any day of the week.

At some point, we’re going to have to admit: America is no longer on course to becoming a utopia. America ALREADY IS a utopia.

New York Post:

At least 400,000 gallons of radioactive water leaked from a Minnesota nuclear power plant in November — but officials only publicly revealed the spill on Thursday.

Minnesota regulators shared the disconcerting development on Thursday and said they have been monitoring the cleanup from Xcel Energy’s Monticello nuclear plant.

While the energy company reported the leak of water containing tritium to state and federal authorities and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission last fall, state officials said they waited to tell the public until they had more information.

The four-month delay in announcing the leak to the public sparked an alarm over public safety and transparency. However, industry experts on Friday said there was never a public health threat as the radioactive water never reached a threshold that would have required public notification.

“This is something that we struggle with because there is such concern with anything that is nuclear,” said Victoria Mitlyng, a spokesperson with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. “The concern is very, very understandable. That is why I want to make extra clear the fact that the public in Minnesota, the people, the community near the plant, was not and is not in danger.”

Minnesota Pollution Control Agency spokesman Michael Rafferty said Thursday that officials knew that one of the plant’s monitoring wells contained tritium in November but “Xcel had not yet identified the source of the leak and its location.

“Now that we have all the information about where the leak occurred, how much was released into groundwater and that contaminated groundwater had moved beyond the original location, we are sharing this information,” Rafferty said.

Xcel said the leak came from a pipe between two buildings.

Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that occurs naturally in the environment and is a common by-product of nuclear plant operations. It emits a weak form of beta radiation that does not travel very far and cannot penetrate human skin, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The chemical only poses a health risk to people who consumed a large amount of tritium, according to Edwin Lyman, director of nuclear power safety with the Union of Concerned Scientists. The risk is contained if the plume stays on the company’s site, which Xcel Energy and Minnesota officials said is the case.

Don’t let smug people tell you “everything is fine, schizo.”

Those people are having very serious personal problems. Smugness is always a self-protection mechanism, to cover self-doubt.

Many of the leftists – all of them that are smug, which is basically all of them – know somewhere in their mind that this is all looking very, very bad. That is why they overcompensate with the smug countenance.
