This past weekend’s leak of two Pentagon documents assessing Israel’s readiness to strike Iran has revealed just how little the Harris-Biden administration knows about the US ally’s future plans, experts tell The Post.

The FBI confirmed Tuesday it is probing the leak of the documents to Telegram last week from the account @Middle_East_Spectator, which has a track record of posting pro-Iran content. The papers had “top secret” markings and featured material that had been dated Oct. 15 and 16.

While any intelligence leak is concerning, in this case, the problem is not so much the secrets that were exposed as the revelation the White House is largely on the outs with the Jewish state, according to Atlantic Council senior fellow Alex Plitsas, a former Pentagon official.

“What was exposed in the commentary on [one of the documents] is that we still can’t assess the [Israeli] intentions, which is basically saying we don’t know what it is that [Israel is] planning to do, and we’re watching where these are indicators and warnings that are going to help us determine their readiness and what it is they might be planning,” Plitsas told The Post.

The lack of communication means the US is lacking critical intelligence from Israel — and thus is less prepared to predict and deal with fallout from future actions, according to US Israel Education Association senior policy director EJ Kimball.

The documents in question appeared on a Discord server at some point in the last month, before spreading to the wider internet and catching the attention of the mainstream media. The alleged leaker, a 21-year-old airman in the Massachusetts Air National Guard named Jack Teixeira, was arrested by the FBI on Thursday after the New York Times published his identity.

Files allegedly leaked by the suspect revealed that US and NATO special forces were active in Ukraine, that Ukrainian casualties were higher than publicly acknowledged by US officials, that Kiev’s forces were low on ammunition, and that the US has spied on its allies throughout the conflict. US officials have dismissed many of the leaked files as fake or doctored.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has responded to the leak by announcing an internal security review in order to “prevent this kind of incident from happening again,” the closest a top defense official has come to confirming the documents’ authenticity. Previously, the Pentagon would only say that some of the files “appear … similar in format” to its intelligence briefings.

China would probably establish air superiority very rapidly in any attack on Taiwan, according to leaked US intelligence assessments that raise disturbing questions about the self-ruled island’s military readiness.

The documents, part of a series allegedly leaked by the US air national guardsman Jack Teixeira, emerged as G7 foreign ministers met to discuss a common China strategy and Beijing briefly halted flights over part of the East China Sea on Sunday.

The US has been spying on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, CNN reported on Sunday, citing alleged intelligence reports that were leaked online last week.

The supposed classified files are related to the Ukraine-Russia conflict, including a daily dispatch from the battlefield.

The US allegedly surveilled the Ukrainian leader using signals intelligence, which the National Security Agency defines as communication intercepted from electronic devices. A source close to Zelensky was quoted as saying that the news is “unsurprising,” adding that officials in Kiev are “deeply frustrated” about the leak.

According to CNN, a US intelligence report said that in late February, Zelensky “suggested striking Russian deployment locations in Russia’s Rostov Oblast” with drones because Kiev does not have long-range weapons that can hit targets that far.
