The UK taxpayer will pay around £20,000 so a transgender murderer, accused of having sex with women in female prisons, can be flown hundreds of miles for a surgical sex change.

Paris Green was born Peter Laing but began “identifying” as a female in 2011, before being jailed for life in 2013 for killing and torturing Robert Shankland.

The victim was lured to a flat before being beaten so badly footprints were left on his neck, having a plastic bag forced over his head, and being sexually assaulted with a rolling pin.

Truly shocking and unpredictable.

Who would have thought that a transvestite in high heels would turn out to be a deranged killer that sodomized men to death with rolling pins. You’d hope that Mother Nature would give us a warning sign or two to help us detect these dangerous people, but nope, they blend into society just like you and me.

Paris Green is proof that appearances can be deceiving. “She” might look like a normal young lady, the kind you might invite home to meet the parents, but behind that soft, delicate façade lurks a man that gives new meaning to the words “prepare your anus.”

Despite the nature of her crimes, and retaining male biology, the killer began her sentence of at least 18 years at Cornton Vale women’s jail in Stirling, Scotland, but was moved after reports she was having sex with female prisoners in a cell.

She will now have the sex change after being transported from her cell at HMP Edinburgh to a hospital in Southern England under constant guard, the Daily Record reports.

However, Mr. Shankland’s family reacted angrily, insisting she should not be getting the operation on the National Health Service (NHS) because “it’s not lifesaving treatment”.

From the women’s wing of the prison, Green wrote: “I am having the op, and pretty soon. The letter has went out [sic] to the surgeon asking him to take on my case.”

Mr. Shankland’s sister, Pauline Bell, 46, hit back. “She should not be getting the operation on the NHS. It’s not lifesaving treatment. She took ­somebody’s life away and destroyed a family,” she commented.

Clearly, this woman has forgotten that she lives in Airstrip One, where hurting the feelings of transsexuals carries a lifelong prison sentence.

She had the decency to use feminine pronouns, though, which might guard her from the most serious accusations.

It’s still shocking stuff, though.

A pre-op transsexual locked up in a women’s jail for a savage torture-killing has been moved to a different prison after claims he was having sex with female inmates.

Murderer Paris Green, 22, who was previously known as Peter Laing, was allowed to serve his 18-year sentence in Cornton Vale women’s prison, in Stirling, because he says he is transgendered.

But today it emerged he has been moved amid suspicions that he was involved in casual-sex relationships with other convicts there.

Green was sent to the prison only five weeks ago after he was found guilty, alongside Kevin McDonagh, 23, and Dean Smith, 20, of the murder of Robert Shankland in March this year.

The trio had invited Mr Shankland, 45, to a party in Green’s flat in the central Scotland town of Glenrothes. There he was tied up, beaten and tortured for hours before finally being murdered.

Despite a campaign by Mr Shankland’s parents, Mary and Ian Bell, Green was told he could serve his sentence in a women’s prison prior to taxpayer-funded gender realignment surgery.

Now after his dalliances with fellow convicts at Cornton Vale, he is to be kept in the women’s section of Edinburgh’s Saughton jail.

Mrs Bell, 69, said yesterday: ‘It doesn’t make any difference where he is to me. He’s in the women’s bit of the jail and he’s still a man.

‘There’s no point in campaigning because it’s not going to get us anywhere. There’s not much we can do now.’
