In December of last year, the story broke in Germany of a Pakistani family targeted in an arson attack by right-wing extremists on Christmas Day. It had the makings of a perfect story for use by the left, including “Nazis” targeting an innocent foreign family on Christmas day.

Police now say it was all a lie and that the arson attack was carried out by the foreign family against their own house for insurance money. Five family members have now been arrested, including the house owner and his brother-in-law. They are also accused of spraying racist graffiti in the house, including “foreigners out” twice.

After the house fire in Wächtersbach, which is located between the cities of Frankfurt and Fulda, politicians from the Greens and the left attended candlelight vigils denouncing racism, while outpourings “solidarity” against “Nazis” came in from all directions.

Police and fire department investigators initially suspected right-wing extremists were responsible for the arson attack. The Pakistani family was not home during the incident and told police they were visiting a friend, which meant none of them were injured in the attack.

The fire, which investigators now say was set by the family, raged for eight hours on Christmas day in 2023, with damage estimated at €350,000.

Prosecutors say that the family used the right-wing slogans to lead investigators away from the Pakistani family, according to German newspaper Bild.

The investigators focused their efforts on the 47-year-old homeowner, who police noticed had fresh burns on his arm despite claiming he was not home during the fire. Prosecutors believe the family set the fire to claim insurance money.

It would not be the first time foreigners in Germany have put lives at risk with an arson attack to claim insurance money. Just a month before this attack, in November 2023, a father and son stood trial for injuring 17 people when they intentionally burned down their poorly performing fashion business to claim insurance money.

Both men were sentenced to life in prison for the heinous attack in December 2023.

The regional court in Aachen heard how the son, 22-year-old Karsan K., poured 13 liters of gasoline into the fashion store in Eschweiler back in March this year and set it on fire, causing a mass explosion that left dozens injured and resulted in millions of euros in damage.

Police and social workers investigating child sex exploitation in Manchester knew children were suffering “the most profound abuse… but did not protect them”, a report has found.

After a child’s death in 2003, police identified at least 97 suspects, but “very few” faced justice, the independent review found.

The police operation was “prematurely closed down” after officers decided to “remove resources”, the report said.

Police said “authorities fell short”.

Greater Manchester Police’s (GMP) Operation Augusta was set up to tackle “the sexual exploitation throughout a wide area of a significant number of children in the care system by predominantly Asian men”, the report said.

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, who commissioned the report as a result of the 2017 BBC documentary The Betrayed Girls, focussed on the death in 2003 of 15-year-old Victoria Agoglia and GMP’s subsequent investigation.

He said Victoria’s death had “exposed a network of paedophiles brazenly abusing young people in care… [who] should have been brought to justice but, appallingly, most escaped and some were left to reoffend”.

He added there was now “a zero tolerance approach to child sexual exploitation of any kind”.

Victoria’s grandmother Joan Agoglia said the publication of the report made her feel “wonderful as I’ve been fighting for this all my life, it seems”.

GMP Chief Constable Ian Hopkins apologised for the police failures which allowed the abuse of children in care to continue.

“On behalf of Greater Manchester Police, I want to apologise to all those vulnerable children who were let down in 2004 by police not thoroughly investigating the offences that had been committed against them.

“I want to say that I am personally disgusted that these children were not cared for and by the awful abuse that they suffered.”

GMP is reviewing all the cases covered in the report and has made a voluntary referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Victoria Agoglia was in the care of Manchester City Council following the death of her mother.

The report found her carers were aware of her being subjected to “multiple threats, sexual assaults and serious sexual exploitation” and had been told that she was being “injected with heroin by an older Asian man [but] no action was taken by the police or social care”.

She subsequently died “having been administered an overdose”, but the men who exploited her “have never been brought to justice”, the report said, adding that its authors had been denied access to files relating to Victoria by the Manchester coroner.

It said the coroner at her inquest “recognised the multiple concerns”, but described Victoria as “having a propensity ‘to provide sexual favours'”, which “significantly underplays the coercion and control” she was subject to.

It added that having considered “both the harrowing experience of Victoria” and that of her contemporaries, its authors “cannot understand” how the coroner at the time stated that it was “absolutely essential” that the public had confidence in “the quality of care and support afforded to children cared for within the child protection system”.

At the time she died, Manchester Social Services said it had done everything possible to keep Victoria safe.

In 2004, a 50-year-old man was cleared of her manslaughter, but admitted two offences of injecting her with heroin and was jailed.

After Victoria’s death, GMP launched Operation Augusta, which subsequently identified at least 57 children “as potential victims” and up to 97 “persons of interest” involved in the crimes against them.

The report found the operation was ultimately “prematurely closed down… before it could complete its work”, a decision that was driven by a desire to “remove the resources”, rather than by having “a sound understanding that all lines of inquiry had been successfully completed or exhausted”.

“The authorities knew that many [children] were being subjected to the most profound abuse and exploitation but did not protect them from the perpetrators,” it said.

The police, of course, were afraid of being called racist, and they probably got a message from higher up to let this slide. We can complain about that, but what they literally found in the investigation is that the girls were going along with these Pakis.

The cops are I’m sure pieces of shit, but the cops are not really the issue here.

Basically, the whole thing was supposed to be buried, but after Rotherham it all became harder to cover up, so they just started saying “oh yeah this happened 20 years ago, but no one was arrested because the cops were bad. But most of them are already retired, and we don’t even know which ones were at fault, so there’s really nothing we can do but publish a piece in the BBC about how this was bad.”

Police in Walthamstow have issued e-fit images of suspects wanted in connection with two homophobic assaults on gay men who were told they were “not welcome” in the area.

According to a statement on the Metropolitan Police website, the first attack was perpetrated on Sunday, October 8th against a 47-year-old man who was walking along High Street, Walthamstow E17, with his with his partner after a night out.

“They were approached by a man who asked them if he could take a picture of them, and then asked if they were gay,” the statement explains.

“The two men walked away, but the suspect then grabbed hold of the victim and said ‘you are not welcome’ and grappled with him.”

There are literally hundreds of far worse attacks than this on normal Europeans every day, and not only are they not reported by the (((media))), but even posting about them yourself on the internet can get you arrested.

While the victims in this first case were left shaken but uninjured, the second incident was more violent.

Taking place just under a month later on Saturday, November 4th, this even saw a 31-year-old man accosted by “three men” who were unknown to him as he walked along Hoe Street, E17, with two friends.

“One of them punched the victim in the face and shouted homophobic abuse at him,” the statement records.

“The punch caused the victim to fall to the floor and the attacker made off.

“The victim suffered a black eye and cuts and bruises — he did not require hospital treatment.

“The victims, who were both left extremely shaken after the incidents, provided detailed descriptions of the attacker from which the two e-fits were produced.”

A report by counter-extremism think tank Quilliam has found that more than eight out of ten men convicted of grooming gang offences have an ‘Asian’ background.

Mohammed Ashen, 33, and Waseem Khaliq, 33, face indecent assault and rape charges, while another man, Masaeud Malik, 33, is charged with one count of indecent assault.

All 12 men will appear at Sheffield Magistrates Court on October 24.

Its Series A funding round was lead by by Keshif Ventures, the Angel Investment group of Taner Halicioglu. That last name is of clear Turkish origins, and Taner currently sits on PacketSled’s board.

The other venture firm, JHS Venture, is a Lahore, Pakistan based firm with very little social media presence. I rang their phone and got no answer. Their website lists their major partner (and thus likely primary capital depositor) as Fazal Textiles, so I did a little further digging.

Express.co.uk has pieced together shocking testimony from victims, campaigners and local residents in a large-scale investigation series being revealed throughout this week.

They all told us how police and the local council is still “failing” thousands of vulnerable girls.

It reveals how organised, criminal gangs of paedophiles are still using the town as their own personal fiefdom, peddling underage girls for sex as part of a multi-million pound crime empire.

The men are predominantly from the city of Mirpur in the disputed region of Kashmir, on the border between Pakistan and India.

Today an investigation by this website lifts the lid on the shocking scale of abuse still going on in Rotherham, two years after a landmark report into the scandal ruled police and council workers had ignored the issue for fear of being branded racist.

Professor Alexis Jay’s astonishing probe revealed at least 1,400 girls were groomed by sex gangs between 1997 and 2013, and unearthed a series of scandalous failings by local authorities.

A recent follow-up report, published by Professor John Drew in March, concluded that the police are now “adequately” tackling child grooming and that historic failures had been “isolated”.

But testimony, pieced together from independent sources, paints a starkly different picture of the authorities’ response.

A number of people who gave evidence to Professor Drew’s inquiry expressed open dismay at his findings and told us the grooming of girls is as bad now as it has ever been.

A cover-up of non-White crime?

In light of the scandalous failings of South Yorkshire Police (SYP) to tackle child sexual exploitation the Government sent in the National Crime Agency (NCA) to oversee the inquiry.

The investigation – called Operation Stovewood – is currently probing more than 7,000 lines of inquiry.

But Ellie said: “What have the National Crime Agency been doing for the last 18 months with their £10million? No arrests yet? We’re feeling desperate and disheartened.“

Another girl, going under the pseudonym Lizzie, said: “I know a few girls who have come forward recently and been told they are being racist and I know a lot that won’t come forward and to be fair I can’t blame them.

“Nothing has changed, not in the slightest. It’s still the same scale as before.”

Lizzie’s was one of a number of testimonies Express.co.uk heard detailing how abuse is going on in plain sight, with victims, campaigners and neighbours all able to direct this website to the areas where the grooming gangs operate freely in the terraced streets.

She added: “It doesn’t shock me anymore because I’m used to hearing it. You hear it on a daily basis, about new girls on a daily basis.

One of the ways the grooming gangs were able to get away with their crimes for so long was due to a coordinated campaign of witness intimidation, which made the girls and their families too scared to speak out.

Recalling a series of incidents which took place in March this year, he said: “Every night for 13 nights out of 14 between midnight and 1am we had people coming and knocking on the door saying it was takeaways. We don’t really eat takeaways, and when we looked through the spy hole they had no food and you could see a car full of Asians.

“We had my granddaughter for the day nine weeks ago and we took the dog for a walk. On the way back I noticed two BMWs full of Asians.

“We were going past and we heard them saying something, but we just ignored it. We got across the road and all of a sudden we started hearing this abuse ‘you white bastards, don’t think your daughter is safe’, things of that nature.

“There was no one else in the street so it was obviously aimed at us. The next moment this big Pakistani guy with a shaven head – he was wearing some sort of robes – put his arm out of the car window and he was waving a tin of lighter fuel shouting ‘we will see, we will see’.”

Pretty well sums up the whole program.

He added: “These groomers, these paedophiles are still running this town and the police are still doing what they were doing back in the day – nothing. Children in this town are at risk now and it’s appalling.”

His comments were echoed by a former social worker who helps victims of abuse. They agreed grooming is still happening on an “industrial scale” and said new girls are still coming forward every week with harrowing tales.
