You don’t want witches in your society.

Nothing good can come of that.

CNS News:

A report in the Christian Post contends that the number of witches (and Wiccans) has dramatically increased since the 1990s, to the degree that there may be at least 1.5 million witches in the United States, which is higher than the 1.4 million mainline Presbyterians.

“[T]he practice of witchcraft has grown significantly in recent decades; those who identify as witches has risen concurrently with the rise of the ‘witch aesthetic,'” reported the Christian Post in October, citing data from Quartz, a Trinity College study, and the Pew Research Center.

Between 1990 and 2008, the number of Wiccans in the United States grew from 8,000 to 340,000, according to three religious surveys conducted by Trinity College in Connecticut. In addition, the Pew Research Center reported in 2014 that 0.4% of the population — 1 to 1.5 million Americans — “identify as Wicca or Pagan.”

Now, I never really believed in all this bullshit.

The Amazing Randi is probably himself a Satan-worshiper. Try to explain how that wasn’t obvious from the beginning.

But recently… idk.

It’s hard to look at all this shit that’s happening in the world and explain it through economics. It’s hard to explain it even through the political lens. I mean, if you use politics and economics as your prism, and you do it well, you’ll get quite far – no doubt about that.

Eventually, though, I put that down the fedora with trembling hands and just finally said to myself, “fuck it, I’m going to look into some of this religious shit.”

The process reconciled me with my ancestors.

Because they did a very good job ridding Europe of its witches. People don’t realize how lucky they are to live in a witch-free society. Seriously. It’s like sanitation and roads and all the other things we take for granted in White civilization. Not having witches is yet another positive externality of intense Deus Vulting.

I only realized this when a girl shared a witch-story with me.

See, she would visit the family village in the summer to get the real rustic experience. Farms, chickens and dirt roads – the real deal.

There was also an old woman living there all alone with her strange, silent and very tall son… and their cats, of course.

Progressively, as the years went by, she started getting crazier and meaner. Eventually, people began avoiding her house, which was, of course, situated close to the woods.

Most villagers treated her with a kind of benign pity. The way you would a doddering old pensioner. “How are you Mrs. So-and-so? Fine weather we’re having. Is your leg doing better? Great, well see you around!”

You know, that sort of thing.

And they’d occasionally leave some food for her at her door, just in case she was struggling. But when the son unexpectedly left for the city one day, things started to go bad.

She started muttering things under her breath and leaving the house more to just shuffle around the village, causing trouble.

It was dementia, probably.

But bit by bit, the villagers started getting annoyed and downright alarmed by her behavior. The typical village shenanigans started occurring. For example, someone threw some shit into the well and poisoned it. Someone was letting the cows out of their enclosure and things started to go missing. People even began to get sick with strange symptoms. A general… malaise settled on the village.

Naturally, suspicions began to fall on the old lady.

The old men in the village wanted to walk over to the house, bang the door and just scare her into behaving. The women counseled caution instead. “You’ll just rile her up even more!”, they said.

As luck would have it, the son ended up coming back home, and everyone calmed down. He would go back to taking care of her and things would return to normal.

And so one day, the girl was home alone while her mother was out of town. She was in the garden and saw the old lady shuffling up the drive in her direction. Scared, she closed the gate to the garden and ran inside the house.

The old lady kept on shuffling in the direction of the girl’s house and stopped at the gate. Imagine her for a moment. Old and crone-like, wearing long raggedy clothes like old people do, despite the summer heat. It makes quite an impression on people.

She reached out with her boney, shaking hand, clasped one of the gate rungs and gave it a tug.

The gate latch held firm. This seemed to anger the old woman.

She started muttering dark-sounding things. The sounds became repetitive and increased in tempo. With her walking stick, she started scratching out something in the dirt, right in front of the house.

Then, clearing her throat, she very quickly turned around and shuffled away.

Watching this, the little girl was pretty spooked. But at the same time, she wanted to see what the old woman had been doing. She ran out of the house and saw strange symbols written in the dirt. With her foot, she covered them up with dirt and ran back inside, to wait for mom.

Almost immediately though, a flash summer storm started and began shaking the house. She hid under the kitchen table, because she was spooked AF.

Then a lightning bolt came down.

Luckily, it hit the apple tree and not the house… and the storm passed as quickly as it came.

To this day, the girl is convinced that if she hadn’t covered the runes, the house would have been hit.

And I just never felt like arguing with her.

See, the old woman annoyed the shit out that village and despite them being understanding and nice, she kept on being an antisocial basket case.

Was she a witch tho?

At this point, I am willing to entertain that possibility, even though I think her being antisocial was already justification for what happened next.

Yeah, eventually her house burned down. She got badly burned in the blaze and ended up being taken to the hospital in the town.

Before we blame the villagers though… her son also disappeared in the middle of the night.

So who knows what really happened. All I know is that I don’t want to have to deal with that kind of shit in my life. And because my ancestors did such a good job dealing with it back then I never even thought about it as a real possibility.

But it is.

Think about it, you might end up with a freak as a neighbor in your little condo who likes to leave dark-looking squiggles on your door or dead reptiles under your welcome mat or something.

I guarantee you that it will freak you and the neighbors out because it is so antisocial and because it is just weird in a way that we’re not used to.

And what can you even do to stop such a person?

Witching is passive-aggressive. You can’t beat her up, otherwise you go to jail. You can’t admit to anyone that she’s spooking you and your kids out because the fedoras will mob you and chew you out.

Seriously.

This is going to be a problem in the West.

We just won’t hear about it as much because of the stigma.

But mark my words, there’s going to be cul-de-sacs that you’ve never heard of in sleepy suburbs with the residents living in terror of mentally-deranged cat-ladies and unable to leave because of a 50-year mortgage they’re still paying down.

That’s when we’re going to pray hardest for an Inquisition to come back and purge the witches from our lands.

Augustus Sol Invictus
Augustus Sol Invictus

“Florida Man” strikes again, as the Libertarian candidate for Senate is one “Augustus Sol Invictus,” currently under attack for sacrificing a goat and drinking its blood. Mr. Invictus is generally described as a “pagan” and was a former member of the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) (an organization most people associate with the famous English mystic Aleister Crowley). The Libertarian Party of Florida, as you might expect, is not amused.

Adrian Wyllie resigned as Chairman of the Florida Libertarian Party, commenting:

Mr. Invictus is extremely charming and persuasive in person, and is a talented public speaker, which makes him all the more dangerous.

Clearly, this man is the absolute antitheses of a Libertarian. Violent Fascist and Neo-Nazi ideologies are completely incompatible with Libertarian values. As such, I had repeatedly and vocally disavowed him and his followers. I advised the LPF that I would continue to speak out against him, regardless of the consequences.

I’m not so sure. Granted, if he’s charming and persuasive in person and a talented public speaker, he really is the “absolute antitheses of a Libertarian,” at least most of the those in Washington DC. But Mr. Invictus seems pretty by the numbers when it comes to the issues.

The first position listed on his campaign website is, as you’ve probably guessed, the Drug War. As Ann Coulter noted, with libertarians (especially the capital L variety), it always starts with marijuana.

Mr. Invictus has apparently spoken about himself as a prophetic figure who will herald a great war. But lately he’s just recycling the old Libertarian standby, the Non-Aggression Principle [link not safe for work].

He insists, though, that he doesn’t advocate violence.

“You do not initiate force,” he said. “If the government is waging war on citizens, we as citizens have the right to self-defense on government.”

[Florida candidate for U.S. Senate admits to sacrificing goat, drinking its blood, by Brendan Farrington, Orlando Sentinel, October 5, 2015]

And, most importantly, Mr. Invictus has the following position on immigration.

One of the classical visions of America is that of a melting pot in which anyone willing to work can find wealth and opportunity.  Unfortunately, this vision has gradually been chipped away by restrictions on immigration and naturalization. American citizenship remains highly desirable, but immigrants today are left with no choice but to enter the country illegally – which often results in immigrants forming insular communities and failing to fully integrate.  We would support policies that streamline the process of immigration and naturalization so that immigrants who wish to integrate and work in America can do so with ease.

[Focal points, Invictus for Senate, October 6, 2015]

Of course, what’s actually destroying the “melting pot” of American identity are multiculturalism and government incentives for people to “de-assimilate” and agitate for government handouts on the basis of their race. Needless to say, there is no mention of racial preferences or official multiculturalism on the “focal points” page. Naturally, there is still time to call for abolishing the FDA.

For what it’s worth, Mr. Invictus denies being a racist, claiming he has four Hispanic children [Florida candidate for U.S. Senate admits to sacrificing goat, drinking its blood, by Brendan Farrington, Orlando Sentinel, October 5, 2015].

So what are we left with? An edgelord with militant posturing coupled with a pro-open borders, pro-Establishment position on the most important question of the day?

I don’t know, Mr. Wyllie. That sounds like just about every libertarian I’ve ever met.

Still, maybe I’m a bit too hasty. Mr. Invictus once wrote:

I have prophesied for years that I was born for a Great War; that if I did not witness the coming of the Second American Civil War I would begin it myself. Mark well: That day is fast coming upon you. On the New Moon of May, I shall disappear into the Wilderness. I will return bearing Revolution, or I will not return at all.

War Be unto the Ends of the Earth

[The Goat-Sacrificing Prospective Libertarian Party Candidate Talks Sorcery, Eugenics, and the Coming Cataclysm, by Brian Doherty, Reason, October 5, 2015]

If you actually were trying to start the Second American Civil War, the best way to do it would be to facilitate unlimited immigration from the Third World. Perhaps Mr. Invictus has been telling the truth all along.

Our Christian European forefathers knew that Islam had to be kept out of Europe.

Nation is a moral essence, not a geographical arrangement, or a denomination of the nomenclator. – Edmund Burke

Islam gives liberals, who like things kept simple, problems. I first noticed this some years ago when the Iranian “students” took the Americans in the embassy hostage. It took the liberals awhile to sort that crisis out. Had black South Africans taken white Americans or white South Africans hostage, the liberals would have known what side to root for. But in the Iranian hostage affair the liberals had a dilemma. On the one hand they viewed all anti-Western groups as good, but on the other hand they viewed all religious fundamentalist groups as bad. What to do? Most liberals solved the dilemma with the ‘bad Muslim’ gambit. Islam was good, my liberal professors all told me so; it was a much more sublime and healthy religion than Christianity. But some Muslims, a tiny minority, were ‘bad Muslims’ who were giving Islam a bad name. The conservatives, who of course were really liberals, concurred with their liberal brethren. Muslims were good; they just needed to adopt free enterprise and purge the ‘bad Muslims’ from their nations.

Islam has gained strength since the 1970’s, but the liberals’ and the conservatives’ attitude toward it has remained the same. The liberals are committed to their belief that the good Muslims can be blended into their multicultural, negro-worshipping democracy, and the conservatives are committed to their belief that the ‘good’ Muslims can be blended into their democratic, free enterprise system. This false ‘bad’ Muslim/’good’ Muslim dichotomy of the liberal-conservative coalition makes it necessary for the Western powers to bomb ‘bad’ Muslims over there, at the same time assuring the ‘good’ Muslims that the West loves Islam, while opening up their borders over here to Muslims. Thus multi-culturalist liberals and free-enterprise conservatives, by ignoring their Christian European heritage, give us the worst of all possible worlds. The people of the West are naked to their Muslim enemies at home while their liberal governments indulge in the inhumane practice of slaughtering Muslim civilians abroad.

Our Christian European forefathers–and I’m not talking about our inconsequential constitutional forefathers–knew that Islam was a militant anti-Christian and therefore anti-European force that had to be held in check. They kept Europe free of the Muslims and involved themselves in Muslim internal affairs to the extent their individual governments thought it necessary. They were not utopianly perfect in their internal meddling, but they were still superior in every way to our modern liberal governments.

Solar-King-Camelot
Far superior in every way, to our modern ‘democratic’ governments.

The two opposed forces involved here are Christianity and liberalism. When Europeans were Christian they knew that the Muslims were their enemies. Now that they are liberal they will never concede that any nation, tribe, or religious sect that shares their hatred of the incarnate Lord is their enemy. And as a corollary, the liberals will always side with blacks, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Asians, Aztecs and so on against white Europeans, because the white Europeans were, and are still called to be, the Christ-bearers.

Despite their shared hatred of the white race and the Christian faith, the liberals will never come to a peaceful accord with the colored tribesmen or with the devotees of the non-Christian sects. The colored tribesmen are attracted to the blood, sex, and power faiths such as Islam and voodoo. Having never been Christian, the colored barbarians feel no attraction to the post-Christian faith of the liberals. Only the white man worships the negro, because having once believed in The Savior, the post-Christian liberal still needs a Messiah. But the post-Christian Messiah, the negro, is no longer an incarnate God, he is a natural god, the purest of nature’s children. The black barbarians will take advantage of their divine status in white cultures by raping and murdering whites with impunity, but they will not become converts to liberalism. Despite their lowly status in the Muslim world, it is to Islam, not Christianity, that the blacks are turning. D. P. Dugauquier tells us the reason for this phenomenon in her book Congo Cauldron.

Another film depicting in symbolic form the ending of the Arab slave trade by the white man was greeted with equal enthusiasm—each slash of the long whip on the wretched black man’s back was cheered wholeheartedly, and when in coming to grips with the Arab the white hero is momentarily thrown to the ground—their shouts reached a crescendo of support for the Arab—not as representing a race, creed or idea—but simply because he symbolized power and force.

Christianity has only been accepted in depth by one people. For over one thousand years the Christian faith was the moral essence of the European nations.

The nations of Europe have had the very same Christian religion, agreeing in the fundamental parts, varying a little in the ceremonies and in the subordinate doctrines. The whole of the polity and oeconomy of every country in Europe has been derived from the same sources. – Letters on a Regicide Peace

In the wake of the recent Paris terrorist attack, all the retired U.S. generals went rushing onto the Fox News channel to tell us how we could go get the terrorists. But the retired generals, like Martha, have lost sight of that which is truly important. It makes no difference whether a nation whose moral essence is liberalism defeats a nation whose moral essence is Islam. Either way the white man loses. If Europe will not be Christian and fight Islam in the name of Christ, then there is nothing of any worth at stake in the battle. Islam is a blending of Judaism and paganism, and liberalism is a blending of Christianity and paganism. Which faith is preferable? A Christian European does not choose between two evils. He fights a two-front war in the name of Christ the King. There has been no Christian opposition to either liberalism or Islam. This is because whites have abandoned the living God of the European people for a theoretical, abstract god that is the end product of a syllogism.

tumblr_m3j1xh0gMh1rt47g5o1_1280
The establishment churches have all become tools of Satan.

Let us look at the organized “Christian” churches. The mainstream Catholic and Protestant churches are merely adjuncts of liberalism which makes them a fusion of Christianity and paganism. Nothing more needs to be said about them; they serve Satan. The Protestant fundamentalist and charismatic churches that have sprung up in response to the apostasy of the liberal churches have blended Christianity with Judaism; hence the fundamentalists’ obsession with Israel. And the traditionalist Roman Catholic sects, without actually adopting Muslim rituals, have blended Islamic spirituality, which is really an absence of spirituality, with Christianity; hence the traditionalists’ hatred of Christmas carols and all aspects of Christianity that suggest the living God possesses a divinely human heart which moves Him to impart the blessings of His heaven to human hearts. (1)

Where does this leave us in the year of 2015, still referred to by European Christians as the year of our Lord? It leaves us back with our people, the Europeans. The ideologues told us that Christ did not reside in His people; instead He came to us through the minds of specially designated men of learning. But Burke was right: what the men of intellect could not bring to light, the simple faith of the European people did bring to light. The moral essence of our people is grounded in the love of Christ. When the Europeans ceased to be one in faith and one in race, they lost that moral essence, which is their reason for being.

The great spiritual crisis that almost resulted in the destruction of the entire human race took place when the “sons of God,” who were demons, were captivated by the beauty of the “daughters of men” and desired to “come in unto” them. The result was that only Noah’s bloodlines remained free of demon blood. Do we not face a similar crisis today? God’s grace flowed through European bloodlines. If those bloodlines are contaminated with the blood of colored tribesmen who are connected to Satan, what will be the result? We have already seen, in the Arab world, what happens when the races mix. It produces a faith that is opposed to Christianity. Race-mixing always produces a spiritual crisis. How could it be otherwise? Our race is our spiritual armor; without it we are defenseless against The Enemy.

tumblr_m5pagjjjlv1rt47g5o1_1280
The ‘sons of God’ who rebelled were cast out of heaven, where they fell to earth and bred with the daughters of men.

The minds of men cannot understand the sublime magnificence of the Incarnation. But men with hearts of flesh can and did understand the incarnation of Christ. Behold! A God who weeps for us and with us, because He too has a heart of flesh. All non-European people hold the divine condescension, the incarnation of our Lord, to be either a blasphemy or a fairy tale. And now the Europeans have joined the heathen chorus; they too have forsaken the God with the Heart of flesh. This is a new diaspora: the people of God, the Europeans, have no geographical nation. Wherever two or three Europeans are gathered together, true to their God and their race, there is the nation of Europe.

Despite their differences, all of the –isms (negrophile liberalism, Mohammedism, Judaism, Communism, Capitalism, etc.) are united in their hatred of Christ. Which makes it all the more necessary that we, the European remnant, should stay connected to the non-blended Christ who was worshipped in the fullness of His divinity and His humanity by our European ancestors. Instead of trying to discover the day and the hour, let us take comfort in the crystal clear message of St. John in the book of Revelation:

And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

It is not a little thing to know that in the end the non-blended Christ will triumph and He will draw His people unto Himself. But will He have a people to draw unto Himself? Will there be faith left on earth? Only if the Christ-bearing people remain true to their blood. And if we are faithful unto death we will receive the benediction of the Christ, the only God for men with hearts of flesh. +

(1) The devil can assume a pleasing shape. Obviously the men and women who fill up the pews of the various Christian churches do not sign on to everything the hierarchies of their sects endorse. But the hierarchies of these churches do have a very definite anti-European, anti-Christian agenda. What kind of church is it where you have to resist the hierarchy of your church in order to remain Christian? And why do you need such a “church”?

The archetypes from our ‘Pagan’ era remain the same in our Christian one.

Back when Christianity was first becoming known in Britain, there was no conflict between it and the so called paganism that had gone before. The people at the top of British society, the Arch Druids, became the Arch Bishops of the Celtic Church. Christianity was looked upon as the natural evolution of the British people’s spiritual doctrines. The idea that Christians would be opposed to Druids because the Druids were ‘Pagan’ was not something that was even countenanced. The Druids and the Christians were the same people, obeying the same laws and part of the same society. If Christianity had meant one half of society being against the other half, it would never have been accepted in the first place. As it was, it was decided to change from being a ‘Pagan’ nation to a Christian one in the second century in Britain and the idea for that came from the King and his Druid advisors and was warmly welcomed by the people. This would not have happened if it had not been seen as a positive development.

People that wish to denigrate Christianity or attack it as being foreign really have no faith at all in their own abilities as White people, or even in their own ancestors. White people pick up lots of things from around the world and if they are useful, then they get appropriated and adapted to White people’s tastes and needs. There is no way that our ancestors would have accepted a foreign religion and no way that after being a White religion for 1500 years, it would not exclusively show the spirit of the White man within it. I say 1500 years as it was after that time that the Jews started to have an influence on it from within, culminating in the hideous monstrosity that goes by the label of Judao-Christianity today.

The same imagery is used in Christianity.

National Socialism saw that Jewish influence, recognised it for what it was and sought to fight back by promoting what they called Positive Christianity. This meant accentuating the parts of Christianity that were most relevant to the struggles that the nation were involved in at the time. That meant concentrating on the Jews being the children of the Devil and the Antichrist and the Aryan qualities of Jesus, who Adolf Hitler spoke about, as a role model for Aryans, as he knew full well that Jesus was not a Jew. He spoke about the way that Jesus heroically threw the Jewish usurers out of the temple, highlighting the courage of this act and the way that the Jews reacted to it.

Today it would also mean concentrating on the Biblical laws against race-mixing and sodomy, both of which were nowhere near as prevalent in the early 20th century as they are in the 21st. Today’s Churches try to pretend those laws do not exist or that they meant something else, in the same way as they have twisted the love for your neighbour law. It goes without saying that love for your neighbour and being prepared to die for those you love had always been interpreted to mean love for your nation and being prepared to die defending it, up until the modern church twisted it to mean love for the Antichrist and his army of barbarians.

All the best of our earlier beliefs were incorporated into Christianity, giving rise to much of our Christian customs and iconography, as well as our festivals. The ancient gods began life as our ancestors and we never stopped honoring them until today. Christianity commands us to honour our ancestors and it helped keep them alive for us by recording their exploits so that they could be passed down to later generations. Christian monks would painstakingly copy out the classics of our past, documenting our previous beliefs so that we might remember the early years of our race. They educated the people so that they might understand our history and contribute to the continuing story themselves.

dragon
The same imagery turns up again in National Socialism, depicting the many headed hydra as being Jewish.

Attacking Christianity does not help our cause. It shows a lack of knowledge about our first millennium history as recorded by our own people and shows a great disrespect to our ancestors who lived and died for it. It inspired them to create the most amazing works of art and architecture, some of the finest high culture that the world has ever seen. Its laws formed the basis for our societies and enabled them to become stable enough for us to form world conquering empires. Now we have rejected it our people lack the faith to wish to die defending their homeland. They lack the love for their own people that should have prevented the Muslims from ever setting foot on our shores. They lack the moral fibre to stand up against the promotion of homosexuality and promiscuity. Without it our nations have become weak and easy prey for the Jews and the hordes of untermenschen that they have invited in.

The whole Pagan against Christian  mind-set is a distraction from what really matters and is like arguing over who was better, you as a child or you as an adult. There is much that is inspiring about the Pagan myths and that is because they are ours, the same as Christianity is ours. Just like Christianity is being warped and universalised, our Pagan myths are too, with the gods being turned into gay transvestite comic book characters and Jesus being turned into a Negro. This is unacceptable, both are a part of our history, both belong to us and came from us and both need defending from the dogs and the swine seeking to trample them. To join them in attacking our heritage like that is to go against everything that made us what we are today.

Instead of attacking Christianity, we should be promoting the parts of it that are most needed in our struggle, just as the National Socialists did. To do anything else means accepting defeat and handing our inheritance over to the enemy.

Introduction

One of the most divisive issues among those who have developed an interest in and a loyalty for defending and promoting the white European identity and ethos is the question of religion. Religion runs to the very core of our convictions and how we view the world around us. It is no wonder that religion is such a divisive and contentious issue even among those who have similar goals for promoting the interests of the European people. Pro-white activists or European nationalists are an eclectic group of people who share a desire to preserve and promote both Western culture and the people who created this culture, and many of us have strikingly different ideas as to religion and its role in a resurgence of the European people.

“All culture arises from religion,”1 said the wise traditionalist Russell Kirk. Kirk continues, “When religious faith decays, culture must decline, though often seeming to flourish for a space after the religion which nourished it has sunk into disbelief. But neither can religion subsist if severed from a healthy culture; no cultured person should remain indifferent to erosion of apprehension of the transcendent.” What Kirk meant is that all culture is an expression of religious convictions. This does not mean that culture is expressed without consideration of a people’s ethnicity, history, or language, but rather that culture reflects religious beliefs expressed through the medium of ethnicity, history, and language. Culture possesses an intrinsically religious character. It should be obvious to an objective reader that religion has a profound impact on cultural health and refinement. This is especially critical to understand given the West’s current identity crisis. Europe is now a post-Christian society that no longer reflects the social values or the doctrinal persuasions that our immediate forebears held so dear. For this reason some white European nationalists openly question whether the values that our Christian ancestors maintained were the cause of their own destruction, and whether Europe would be better off returning to the pagan convictions of Europe’s pre-Christian civilizations.

This viewpoint has gained increasing momentum in the recent past. Many in Europe and North America have become increasingly convinced that Christianity was part of a long and unfortunate process that led to the subversion of traditional European values and cultural norms. Returning to Christianity would simply bring us right back to where we are now with all the problems of white guilt and preferences to non-white others; and paganism would be an improvement on our current circumstances by allowing for indigenous expressions of the European identity. All of this leads me to ask several questions about religion and the European identity. Has Christian orthodoxy led us to the problems that we now face in Western Civilization? Is paganism true? Would a return to paganism help create a resurgence of Western mores and values? Will paganism save us? These questions are not a mere philosophical luxury, but have a profound impact on how we will go about saving our people, our culture, and our heritage.

Odin_(Manual_of_Mythology)
Odin the All Father of the Norse gods.

Is Paganism True?

During the trial of Christ, Pontius Pilate asked Christ a profound, simple, and penetrating question: “What is truth?”2 This is, of course, the question that should be asked before any argument is made regarding the utility of pagan beliefs. The simple fact is that the idea of the universe being governed by a discordant group of superhuman deities is beyond the scope of believability for modern Europeans. Before the time of Christ, many Europeans had already begun to question the existence and power of the gods and goddesses. The ancient Greeks and Romans had discovered the basic laws of physics, astronomy, and biology, and these facts contradicted the pagan idea that the world or universe was governed by the whims of deities who were all too human themselves.

Paul addresses the problem of pagan beliefs in his sermon on Mars Hill. Paul argues that the pagan deities could not have created or governed the world when the gods and goddesses themselves were fashioned from metal or stone. “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands. Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”3 Paul concludes that “we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.”4

This argument cuts to the core of the issue with pagan deities. Their whole existence was predicated on their supposed animation of inanimate figures and statues. Paul correctly points out the absurdity of believing that these inanimate figures could have created living creatures. Paul counters this idea with the Christian belief that the one true God created humanity in His own image.

Thomas Bulfinch was described as “a gentleman of a pure Christian character, of delicate sensibilities and refined culture” according to his obituary.5 He was also one of the most profound experts on classical European mythology. In his introduction to Stories of Gods and Heroes, Bulfinch writes:

“The religions of ancient Greece and Rome are extinct. The so-called divinities of Olympus have not a single worshipper among living men. They belong now not to the department of theology, but to those of literature and taste. There they still hold their place, and will continue to hold it, for they are too closely connected with the finest productions of poetry and art, both ancient and modern, to pass to oblivion.”6

Bulfinch rightly points out that the beliefs of paganism had become so untenable in the minds of European people that no one could seriously consider them to be true any longer. In my personal experience, most advocates of paganism are simply rightfully embittered against the betrayal they feel from the Christian establishment who has sold out their interests in pursuit of multiculturalism. The fact remains, however, that people will not truly live out their lives according to religious tenets which they do not seriously believe. Paganism might appeal on a sentimental level, but the European people have been imbued with too much rationality to endorse and arrange their lives according to the doctrines of classical paganism.

Another concern is that paganism could just as easily be hijacked by leftist elements which are hostile to traditional mores. I personally am aware of many girls who have adopted a pagan ethos because of their feminist-based goddess complex. Moreover, paganism was itself commandeered by charismatic military leaders in ancient Rome with the goals of world domination and of the erasure of traditional ethnic and cultural distinctions. The pagan Romans ultimately set out to try to conquer the world and make everyone Roman. Caesar became recognized as a god himself, and the worship of all gods or goddesses were tolerated as long as such worship was subordinated to the state. If anything, the current decline and death of the West owes itself to this brand of Roman imperial paganism, not to anything within the Christian paradigm.

Is Christianity to Blame for the Impending Collapse of Western Civilization?

One of the weightier issues that discussions of paganism usually evoke is the question of the causes of the impending doom of the West. What has caused the West to commit suicide? The reason that this topic is important in any discussion of paganism and European racial and cultural survival is because pagans often cite Christianity as the primary cause or one of the primary causes of European suicide. Many neo-pagans consider Christianity to be a foreign import into Europe, maintaining that the Christian doctrines of repentance, contrition for sin, and the concept of salvation being freely offered to all are contradictory to European values and survival.

These arguments deserve fair consideration, and a Christian apologist must be prepared to answer these opinions head on. It must be noted from the onset that Christianity itself, through the teachings of Christ, accounts for the possibility of Christians losing influence on society because of their own faithlessness. Christ in his Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7) calls his disciples the “salt of the earth.” The analogy to salt is a metaphorical application to the function of salt in preservation. Ideally, the Christian Church should act as a conservative influence in society and be a means of preserving health in our institutions. If we Christians lose our resolve and convictions in Christian truth, then we will definitely see ourselves displaced, and the “salty” influence that the Church is to wield will vanish. Christ asks his disciples if they, the “salt,” lose their savor, then how will the earth be salted? Christ answers his own rhetorical question by stating that “it (the church) is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”7 It is because of Christ’s own warnings to his disciples that I can easily admit to the infidelity of the Church without the slightest hesitation. Christ warns that if the Church loses its devotion to the Christian faith, then she will be trodden under foot by those who despise her. The modern Church has been a failure in saving Western Civilization and the European people — yet not because of some inherent flaw within the Christian faith itself, but rather because the Church, which is to be the salt of the earth, has lost its savor.

The Apostle Paul also addresses the problem of worldwide Christian apostasy by stating that there would certainly come a time when men would depart from the faith.8 He warns Timothy to remain steadfast and devoted to Christian orthodoxy since there would come a time when men would not endure sound doctrine.9 We are currently experiencing the result of this widespread apostasy in the West. Hilaire Belloc correctly observed that “the Faith is Europe, and Europe is the Faith.”10 What Belloc stated so simply and eloquently was common sense to all traditionalists who were seeking to preserve European civilization along with the people who created and nurtured it. Europe and Christianity go hand in hand.

As the Faith has declined amongst us, so too has our own sense of our identity and purpose. As a result of our apostasy from the Faith, we have become disillusioned by nihilism and despair. Manners and customs have declined, and traditional marriage and birthrates have dropped precipitously as gender roles have become conflated. Europe stands on the brink of annihilation, and only faith in the Savior will deliver us from certain destruction. It is also noteworthy that the most successful periods of Christian evangelism were accomplished when Europeans had a strong sense of their identity. The torch of Christianity has dwindled as European influence has declined. The decline of Europe has spelled the decline of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church as well. As Europe goes, so goes the Faith. As the Faith goes, so goes Europe.

heimdall-2

What then is the Proper Role of Pagan Mythology in European Culture?

If pagan mythology has no future in the West as far as religious conviction is concerned, then must we conclude that mythology is of entirely no value? I don’t believe so. Bulfinch wrote, “If no other knowledge deserves to be called useful but that which helps to enlarge our possessions or to raise our station in society, then Mythology has no claim to their appellation. But if that which tends to make us happier and better can be called useful, then we claim that epithet for our subject. For Mythology is the handmaid of literature; and literature is one of the best allies of virtue and promoters of happiness.”11

The major benefit that pagan mythology provides is its rich history in European literature as well as the appropriation of pagan symbols for Christian use. Christian Europeans have a long and proud history of appropriating the myths, symbols, holidays, and traditions for Christian usage. Christians have maintained this practice as part of the mandate to take dominion over the earth.12 By appropriating the best elements of our pre-Christian past, Christians in Europe were able to create a vibrant culture that wed Christian orthodoxy with the good taste of what came before.

It is important to understand that this did not mean mixing pagan and Christian elements together in worship. Pagan deities were simply honored as heroes of ages long past who were not divine and could not deliver anyone from sin, death, or the devil. This did not mean to our European forebears that pagan symbols and traditions could not be cleverly redesigned to convey a Christian meaning. A good classical example of the synthesis of pagan history reinterpreted through the prism of Christian theology is the Sibylline Oracles, which as an excellent example of classical poetry.13

Christianised sun-wheel and endless knot.

One prominent example of the appropriation of pagan symbols to Christian use is from the Celtic conversion: the endless knot which was a pagan symbol representing the mythic union of the sea, land, and sky. When the Celts converted to Christianity the endless knot was converted in its meaning to represent the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.14 A similar example is the example of the sun wheel, a Neolithic European symbol intended to worship the Sun. This symbol was given a new Christian meaning and is now easily recognizable as the Celtic cross.15 Traditional Christian symbolism abounds with examples of pagan traditions and symbols being used to convey a Christian meaning. The pagan Phoenix came to represent the Resurrection of Christ. The Easter egg came to represent Christian rebirth.16The pagan feast of Saturnalia corresponds with the dates of the Christian Great O Antiphons leading up to Christmas.17 The Christmas tree is partially derived from the northern European pagan feast of Yule, and is given a Christian meaning in renewal.18 There are many more examples of Christians appropriating the best pagan symbols for Christian use.

Pagan theology is no longer a tenable worldview for the European mindset. Europeans have been conditioned by centuries of Christian belief to see the universe ordered by a single all-powerful God, and the existence of pagan deities was simply interpreted as representing the heroes and mighty men of old before the days of Noah.19 The pagan heroes came to be worshipped as gods due to their extraordinary longevity and prowess. By the time of the advent of Christianity in Europe, paganism had long since run its course and had degenerated into state-worship. In many ways the modern West is experiencing the same problems that the pre-Christian West did. White Europeans are preoccupied with hero- and state-worship, and the European people are experiencing the same abuses of the state that our ancestors did under Caesar.

An Appeal for Christianity

Contrary to the protests of neo-pagans, Christianity is the native religion of the European people. It is natural to revere heroes; it is unnatural to worship heroes as gods. Pagan religion was a perversion of the natural inclination to admire the finer traits of human character. Christianity was a positive transition in Europe to the worship of the one true Trinitarian God. Nevertheless we Europeans are obliged to our pagan predecessors who forged many of the abiding symbols that we use in today in the Christian faith. Perhaps G.K. Chesterton put it best when he stated, “There is one thing, and one thing only, in existence at the present day which can in any sense accurately be said to be of pagan origin, and that is Christianity.”20

Christian authors, architects, composers, theologians, and artists have always demonstrated a profound respect for the pagan traditions and symbols of Europe. This respect has always been demonstrated within the context of a steadfast devotion to Christian orthodoxy. Paganism as a religion is dead, and will remain dead for the foreseeable future. We Europeans can and should appreciate the exploits of Thor, Odin, and Zeus — yet without worshipping them as gods, but rather honoring them as ancestors of our ancient past.

The most laudable attribute of our European ancestors was their quest and desire to understand truth. What prompted Pontius Pilate to ask Christ about truth? It was Christ’s simple and yet profound assertion that He himself was the truth, and that truth could only be ascertained through belief in him. Christ stated that the whole purpose of His ministry was to convey the truth. “To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.”21 The only way for the European people to survive is for us to embrace the truth in Christ, so that we may know the truth, and the truth shall make us free.22 It is true that as the Faith declines, so too will our beloved Europe, but this is not the end of our people or civilization. Europe was once and is the future Christendom; Europe will one day again be the Faith, and the Faith will one day again be Europe!

The arrest of Christ, from The Book of Kells 800AD.

One of the most common accusations to be laid at the foot of Christianity is that it was forced on White nations against their will.  People usually say this for one of two reasons: either to compare it to Islam, or to infer that peaceful Pagan Europeans had an alien religion forced upon them.

Aside from all the Biblical proofs that it was not an alien religion, the idea that our ancestors would bow before any foreign god is quite an insult to their memory. The early Church (the people, not a building or a franchise) sent out single missionaries who convinced people by their own example of a wholesome life, they did not send out conquering armies, but instead converted the conquering armies.

The Celts and the Druids

The British people played a much larger role in Christianity and the early Church than most people are aware of. They have the historical claim to the first Church building above ground, as well as to being the first people to proclaim themselves a Christian nation, both instances almost two centuries before Rome.

There are many records of Joseph of Arimathea travelling to Britain straight after the crucifixion between 35 and 38AD, bringing Mary the mother of Jesus with him, along with some of the other Apostles. When they got to Britain, King Caractacus granted them 12 hides of land at Glastonbury, enough to build a village in and subsist on. The remains of their wicker work buildings and Church meeting place have been dug up by archaeologists and there is a model of it at the London Museum.

Joseph was a tin trader and a ‘Nobilis Decurio’ in the Roman aristocracy, as well as being directly related to Jesus. There are folk memories of this all over western Britain, with nursery rhymes, holy wells and churches all dedicated to parts of the legend. The records of the land being given to this group are mentioned in the Domesday book a thousand years later, where land up until that point had always been granted in perpetuity and could always be reclaimed, through proof of genealogical descent. This is in accordance with Biblical law and had been the law in Britain since time immemorial.

At the time of Joseph, Britain was one of the most important centers of learning in Europe.

The Druids had forty universities there and the aristocratic caste throughout Europe would send their children to them to be instructed.  60,000 students could be staying at any one time and it took 20 years to complete the education entirely, although there were separate degrees which could be taken as well, that took 3, 6 and 9 years to complete. The students were not just concerned with becoming priests, but were trained as law-givers, doctors, architects and natural philosophers too.

There were many similarities between the Druids and the Levitical priests which I won’t go into great detail about here, suffice to say that the Druids were awaiting a Messiah, followed a similar law to Moses and referred to the coming saviour of the future as Yesu.

Taliesin the sixth century Bard described the situation thus:

“Christ, the word from the beginning, was from the beginning our teacher, and we never lost his teaching. Christianity was in Asia a new thing; but never was [there] a time when the Druids of Britain held not its doctrine”

There are no conflicts recorded anywhere between the Druids and the Christians, in fact the first three Arch-Bishops of the Celtic Church were all Arch-Flamens of the Druidic order, as their fathers had been before them. To be a Druid was a hereditary position, the same as to be a Levitical priest or a Brahmin was. This hereditary title to priesthood was still being followed by the British Church right up until the twelfth century, long after the Church at Rome had become corrupted by ‘democracy’ and ‘equality.’

1031aristobulos
Eubulus, first century Apostle to Britain, mentioned in 2 Timothy.

Other notable converts to the new faith from Britain are written about by the Apostle Paul in  2 Timothy 4:21:

‘Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.’

Prince Linus was the son of King Caractacus of Britain, Princess Claudia was the daughter of Caractacus and Pudens was a Roman officer based in Britain. Pudens’ house in Rome became the first Church meeting place there and Prince Linus was appointed by St. Paul as the first Bishop of Rome.

These early converts were all very highly placed people, Kings and Druids were right at the top of Pre-Christian Celtic society. Christianity was no revolt of the slave class, but the natural evolution of European spirituality taking place in the higher realms of the Celtic aristocracy. Pudens and Claudia’s grandson was King Lucius, who established Christianity (so named after its progenitor, Christ) as the national faith of the British people in AD156. Changing the national religion was one of three things that could only be done with the unanimous vote of the people, so there was obviously no conflict between it and Druidry. This point of being the first nation to proclaim themselves Christian has never been contested, it has only ever been affirmed at various Church Councils.

The Celtic Church really flourished in Britain, as all the greatest minds of Northern Europe were concentrated there. It was a center of much learning and the new Bishops and Monks busied themselves in their quest for knowledge, painstakingly writing down histories, genealogies, the classics and natural history, as well as Biblical texts.

Those who were particularly blessed were sent out into Europe to convert their fellow Whites. These became known as ‘Wandering Scholars’ and were the first missionaries. Ireland too had a great depository of knowledge around this time and many teachers and instructors were sent out from there also. None of these missionaries took an army with them, or tried to force their religion on anyone. The first Churches in Gaul were all founded by these Wandering Scholars from Britain and Ireland.

Roman soldier

The Roman Invasions

The Pagan Romans never succeeded in their invasions of Britain, instead they were forced to make treaties and trade agreements with the British and a small Roman presence in the south of the country was tolerated. There were ten major persecutions of Christians by the Romans from AD66 to AD303, but it was not until the 3rd century that Rome started persecuting the Christians in Britain and this was not because of anything they had done, but for what they had not done. They refused to bow to the Pagan gods of Rome, which the Emperor Diocletian took to mean that they were not loyal to Rome. Like the European aristocracy still today, most of the Christians were in the army and Diocletian thought that because they would not bow to Rome’s gods, then they could not be relied upon.

Nowhere is there any record of native British people ever having bowed down to idols, no idols have ever been found in Britain that were not of Roman origin, so this ‘not bowing to the gods of Rome’ was not a new innovation of the British Christians, the new innovation was the Roman gods in the first place.

Since all the aristocracy of Northern Europe had been educated by Druids and their students who had graduated from Britain, they would have felt the same way about this too. It was not until just before the emperor Diocletian died, that the persecutions against the European Christians ended. Constantine the Great was then crowned King in Britain (his mother being Queen Helen) and he formed an army from the British people, who had all been Christian for 150 years by that time and marched on Rome to declare a new empire and a new capital – Constantinople.

Alfred_the_Great
Alfred the Great – King of the Anglo-Saxons

The Anglo-Saxon Invasions

Britain then had peace up until 446AD when the Jutes, the Angles and the Saxons started invading the country. They brought no idols with them either, but they were quite barbaric in their treatment of the Celtic peoples that had been living in Britain up until that point.

They ransacked the monasteries and the places of learning, destroying much of the knowledge that the Celtic church had been amassing. Besides the Church records of them doing this, we also have those of the Anglo-Saxons themselves. The Christian priests and the remaining Druids were forced to head as far west as they could get, to remove themselves from all the wanton destruction and tyranny. Both ways of living, Druidic and Christian, had been existing side by side with the same rights and duties,  working together up until this point, although more and more of the Druids had been turning exclusively to Christianity.

Once a peace had been reached the Celtic missionaries began their task of converting the new colonisers to the faith. This they succeeded in doing and the Anglo-Saxons eventually realised their error. Alfred the Great in the 9th century is recorded as lamenting the state of learning that the country has descended to, from the previous golden age before the Saxon invasion. He determines to get the country back to being a great centre of culture and learning again, with universities not just for noblemen, but for anyone bright enough to be able to study. He himself starts translating the scriptures into the vulgar tongue and sets himself the task of ensuring that every village has access to a library and that every nobleman learns how to read, so that they can be instructed in the scriptures, the law and the classics.

Prior to Alfred’s translation of the Bible into the vernacular, the Celtic Church had their own version of the Bible, which preceded the Vulgate and even the earlier Latin version. This is confirmed by Sedulius, Celestius, Fastius, Gildas and Columbanus. The only authority the Celtic Church ever looked to was the scriptures, which became a cause of contention when the Church of Rome finally arrived on the shores of Kent in the 6th century, to help with converting the Anglo-Saxons.

The Viking Invasions

Around the time of Alfred the Great, the Pagans invaded again. This time it was the Vikings, and just like the Romans and the Saxons before them, they were all either driven off, or allowed to stay if they agreed to abide by the Christian laws of the land.

Some of the Vikings were persuaded to convert to Christianity and they stayed in the country and honoured their vows, but others abused the Anglo-Saxon’s trust. In the manuscripts of the time, the British people are referred to as ‘The Christians’ and the Vikings are referred to as ‘The Pagans.’

Eventually the Pagans that did not make peace and become Christians were driven back to their northern lands and another period of great learning began, with much invention and innovation which led to Britain becoming the envy of Europe for her law-abiding and happy subjects.

The Norman Invasion

It was this envy that caused the Norman King William the Bastard to wish to invade and take Britain for himself. This is the first instance of Christians invading other Christians and it did not take place until a thousand years after the birth of Christianity. It was helped by a split in the original Church, which had previously consisted of what later became known as the Celtic Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, who had all been following the same scriptures and with the same faith, but with slight dogmatic differences.

A large part of the split was occasioned by the Pope’s claim to authority over the other Patriarchs. Prior to this point, they had all had the same authority but over different jurisdictions and the Pope was seen as being the first among equals, rather than being of a higher rank than the others.

The Pope gave his blessing to King William after the Norman invasion, as he had subjected the British Church to Rome instead of to Constantinople, which had previously had the position of being the highest Court Britain could appeal to. The new Norman overlords were the descendants of the very same Vikings who had attacked two centuries before, even fighting under the same battle flag that had been used against King Alfred. In the 200 years in between then and now, they had pledged their loyalty to Rome and the Latinised doctrine, rather than the Celtic or Orthodox one. By the time William had finished interfering, there were only two clergy left in the British Church that were actually native to England. Along with the foreign clergy he also brought the Jews with him to act as tax collectors, this being the first time the Christ-killers had ever set foot in Britain.

All this time up until this point, no Christian Englishman had ever invaded another country with a view to altering its religious beliefs, but he had seen his own homeland destroyed by successive waves of foreign White Pagans many times and was now seeing it destroyed by people who claimed to share the same faith as him. Before this, the only Christians to travel to other countries to try to convert them were the wandering scholars, who would arrive at the King’s court in the same way as Joseph of Aramathea had done, to explain their mission to the Monarch and to request permission to live in peace and achieve it.

They never arrived with an army to force conversions by the sword and they never would have dreamt of trying to convert Arabs, Negroes or Chinamen.
