Mother, 23, is facing jail as police probe whether she was checking Facebook before her six-month-old baby drowned in the bath.

Kayla Lynton, 23, was arrested in Tel Aviv and police are said to be looking at her phone and a ‘ten minute window’ in which Naomi is thought to have drowned.

Mrs Lynton, who is married to British recruitment worker Ilan Lynton, is now on a 2,000-shekel (£420) surety bond while she waits to hear if she’ll be indicted and is said to be ‘devastated.’

I’m sure the idea of going to jail is devastating for her, no doubts about that.

Mrs Lynton is believed to have said she’d left the baby to go to the toilet, however reports have also said that as part of the police probe into the time leading up to her child’s death officers are also looking at any possible mobile phone use.

If her alibi is that she left her baby to go to the toilet, where was she bathing her baby? How many bathrooms does she have?

Her husband confirmed to the Mirror that police have taken her phone and are looking at whether she was on social media apps at the time.

Her lawyer, Ofer Bartal, reportedly said she tried to resuscitate her six-month-old daughter and they are now waiting to hear whether Tel Aviv police will indict her.

He explained that the most severe potential offence that she could be charged with could come with a nine-year prison sentence.

Why not six million minutes instead? They could set up a digital counter in the cell or something. Jews really have to step up their sentencing game.

Mr Lynton moved to Israel from Shoreditch, East London, more than five years ago and the couple also have a two-year-old daughter called Elizabeth.

Even little ones are already tied to their own surveillance devices.

But that’s good, right? It means we’re really progressing as a society. This is evolution.

In the old days, only adults enjoyed ads and most ads required you to know how to read. That was very elitist and bigoted.

What we have now allows toddlers to enjoy high-quality ads and social engineering specifically targeted and youngsters, which increases inclusion and diversity.

Smartphones are a dream come true for intelligence agencies. They have everything they need to track you and to know everything about you, even your most intimate secrets. The thing is always on — even if you turned it off — thanks to its non-removable batteries, it has a microphone, multiple cameras, GPS and all kinds of tools to collect information about you and what you do, access to all of your data and internet access to send it all back to headquarters.

But don’t worry, they use all of that to sell you stuff in a more efficient manner, with targeted ads calibrated for your psychological profile.

Can you blame people addicted to their smartphones?

After all, they have the entire world at their fingertips. Why would they care about their stupid babies or about anything actually happening around them?

You have to be in control. Mobile stuff is designed to make you addicted. Don’t fall for it.

Andrew Holder is facing charges, although the other driver reportedly shot and killed his passenger. Prosecutors say Holder and the other driver exchanged gunfire during a violent road rage incident. His 31-year-old passenger Brandy Brock got caught in the crossfire.

Witnesses told IMPD officers Holder and the other driver flipped each other off while racing through traffic. The other driver told officers he first swerved to avoid a sewer cap.

When the two cars finally stopped at a light, witnesses told police that Holder reached out the window and fired his gun at the car stopped behind him. That’s when the other driver reportedly stepped partially out of his car and fired back.

Investigators say that bullet when through the trunk of Holder’s car, his back seat, then the front seat and struck Brock. Holder then drove to an Indianapolis fire station for help as the other driver went home and called 911.

Charging a teacher with criminal negligence causing death a year after Jeremiah Perry drowned during a field trip to Ontario’s Algonquin Provincial Park is an “important step in ensuring that a tragedy like this never happens again,” the Toronto high school student’s family says.

The charge against Nicholas Mills, 54, of Caledon was announced Thursday by Ontario Provincial Police.

Jeremiah’s father, Joshua Anderson, released a statement through his lawyer that says the family is “relieved” by the news. It also says the family has been “living in a constant state of shock and sadness” since early July 2017.

“This last year has felt like an eternity for my family and I, but we understand that it takes time to fully investigate a tragedy like this,” he said.

Mills had organized the field trip, which was part of the Toronto District School Board’s (TDSB) REACH program, according to Const. Catherine Yarmel, spokesperson for the Killaloe detachment of the OPP.

Police previously said that six adults — two teachers and four outdoor education specialists — had accompanied the students on the outdoor-education excursion, as part of the board’s summer-school curriculum.

“As the co-ordinator, he was responsible for the design of the Algonquin trip itinerary and he was also the team leader assigned to the Jeremiah Perry group that day,” said Yarmel, noting that Mills is not in police custody.

Mills remains on home assignment, school board spokesperson Ryan Bird said Thursday, noting he hasn’t set foot in a classroom since Jeremiah’s death due to an internal probe.

Look, I’m not sure how it is in America, but here in Canada even if your school is planning to walk you one block down the street to a hockey rink (not a meme, actual weekly event at rural schools here) you need your parents to sign a permission slip which has all the information of what you’re doing. A Pennsylvania judge has ordered a nurse to stand trial in the death of the father of former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster.

A judge upheld all the charges against Christann Gainey on Monday.

Prosecutors say Gainey failed to do mandatory checks on H.R. McMaster Sr. prior to his fatal fall at Cathedral Village in Philadelphia in April.

A Pennsylvania Health Department report says administrators failed in their essential duties at a Philadelphia senior care facility where the father of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser died in April.

The 141-page report released over the weekend says Herbert R. McMaster Sr.’s fatal fall April 12 was his fifth during a four-day stay at Cathedral Village. The report says staff failed to complete required neurological checks, develop a fall prevention plan or attempt to resuscitate McMaster.

The Pennsylvania attorney general’s office charged a temporary nurse at the facility with involuntary manslaughter last month.

Loyce Pickquet Agyeman, 63, who worked as a licensed nurse practitioner was arrested at her residence on Parkwood Road in Snellville. Grand jury warrants state charges of felony murder and neglect to a disabled adult.

Certified nurse assistant Mable Turman, 62, was arrested and charged with neglect to an elder person or resident of long-term care facility, murder, abuse, exploitation of a disabled or elder person, and concealing the death of another.

Formerly licensed nurse practitioner Wanda Nuckles, 61, surrendered to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Nuckles is indicted on charges of depriving an elder of essential services. She is also facing charges of concealing the death of another.

According to authorities, on February 27, 2014 each of the three women allegedly failed to provide appropriate medical attention to James Dempsey as he called out for help at the Northeast Atlanta Rehabilitation Center in Brookhaven.

A hidden video from 2014 showed nurses laughing as a World War II veteran repeatedly called for help and died while in their care.

The family of James Dempsey, 89, of Woodstock, Ga., hid a camera in the late veteran’s room in the Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation Center which captured the night he died.

The video showed the decorated WWII veteran repeatedly calling for help, saying he could not breathe. It also showed the nurses failing to take life-saving measures and laughing as they tried to start an oxygen machine.

The nurses, including a nursing supervisor, Wanda Nuckles, told Dempsey’s family lawyers in the deposition that when she learned the veteran had stopped breathing, she rushed to his room and took over CPR, keeping it up until paramedics, WXIA-TV reported.

However, the secret video showed that nobody was doing CPR when she arrived, and she did not start immediately. After the attorneys showed Nuckles the video, she told them it was an honest mistake, based on her normal reactions.

Seriously, if you’re in your thirties or forties and your parents are getting up there, you need to get together with your siblings and figure out a plan for taking care of the folks outside of a nursing home.
