The City of Milwaukee broke its homicide record for the third year in a row on Saturday, bringing the total number of homicides in the city to 194.

On Saturday, a 43-year-old man was killed near Hopkins and Hampton, the death that broke the record. Police are seeking unknown suspects in that case.

Michael Ray is a business owner in that area who says violent acts like these not only affect safety in the community, but prevent people from investing in the area.

“It’s a major setback for me being a business in this area when already a lot of businesses closed over here,” said Ray.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department’s (MPD) database and media alerts from MPD, there have now been 194 homicides so far this year. At this point last year, there were 170 homicides, and 171 in 2020.

The city had 193 homicides for the whole year in 2021, which broke 2020’s record of 190 homicides.

“To know that we are breaking the homicide record again. [It] just goes to show that we have to work a little bit harder to make sure that that devastation doesn’t continue to be a reality for people,” said the program director for the WAVE Educational Fund, Deja Garner.

Garner was born and raised in Milwaukee and told TMJ4 she has lost both friends and family to gun violence in the city.

“The work that I do in gun violence prevention is so future generations and other residents won’t have to feel that anguish and that devastation of losing someone that they love to gun violence,” said Garner.

One way she says this can be achieved is by investing more funds into violence prevention in the city.

Where are those people claiming “this is just like the 1990s”?

If you want black people to stop doing things like this, you need to be nicer to them. They only do this because their feelings are hurt by mean white people.

A Milwaukee shooting left at least two people with gunshot wounds Friday evening and sent others fleeing after near the Bucks-Celtics basketball game, according to reports.

“Everybody started running,” witness Brittany Bergstrom, who was at a nearby restaurant, told FOX 6 in Milwaukee. “There was a stampede, people running over the shrubs, hats shoes on the ground, drinks spilled everywhere.”

She said her boyfriend pulled her behind a brick wall, “and if he wouldn’t have this outcome would be a lot different. And that’s all I know and everybody took off running and I just kept running.”

No, nothing would have been different.

Blacks virtually never kill anyone in these mass shootings. They don’t aim, and they run out of bullets very quickly. You are much more likely to die from being trampled than from a bullet fired by a black person.

You’re also more likely to die from rubbing your temples in exhaustion thinking about the endless black behaviors in America.

This creature belongs in a zoo, not behind the wheel of a car.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office has released the identities of the two people killed following a crash Friday with a man wanted in a Minot homicide investigation.

The victims are 20-year-old Maria Buhler, of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., and 23-year-old Joseph Badora, of Greenfield, Wis., according to Karen Domagalski, the operations manager for the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Domagalski said that Badora was headed southbound around 9:30 a.m. Friday when an eastbound driver disregarded a red light and struck him.

Buhler, the passenger in his vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Badora was rushed to a local hospital, and succumbed to his injuries shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday.

Domagalski says both Badora and Buhler were wearing seat belts.

She says next of kin has been notified.

The other driver was later identified as 27-year-old Donald Lee Cooper, Jr., who was being pursued by U.S. Marshals.

Cooper faces a series of charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, in the January death of 29-year-old Dominick Stephens in Minot.

He remains in custody in the Milwaukee County Jail. It’s unclear at this time when he will be extradited to North Dakota.

I guess it’s news as much as anything else going on, but is it really a top news story that I need to get three push notifications about on my phone, like “OMG DID YOU HEAR ABOUT COORS??? THEY GOT SHOT”?

Five people have been killed in a shooting at the Molson Coors Brewing Company campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin state, local officials say.

They say the gunman died from “self-inflicted wounds”. The attacker was identified as a 51-year-old Milwaukee resident. His motives were unclear.

If I had to guess, I’d say his motive was probably that he’d had enough and he just couldn’t take it anymore.

The shooting occurred in the early afternoon while hundreds of employees were still at work.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said it was a “tragic day for the city”.

Speaking at a news briefing shortly after Wednesday’s shooting, he described it as a “horrific act”.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee police chief Alfonso Morales said that the five victims were all employees of the brewing company.

Speaking at the White House in Washington, President Donald Trump offered his “deepest condolences to the victims and families in Milwaukee”.

He described the gunman as a “wicked murderer”.

A Wisconsin Congressman, Mike Gallagher, called it “hateful.”

There’s no indication that this was in any way related to white supremacy or skin-hate, so I’m pretty sure he’s not supposed to use the term “hateful.” Of course, it’s common sense that any mass shooting is “hateful,” but calling murders that aren’t related to skin-hate “hateful” brings into question the entire concept of “hate crimes.” So you’re not supposed to use that term.

Although everyone hates Coors. Especially the people who are so totally poor that they have to drink it.

Funnily enough, this chart says that Coors is among the more expensive beers.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Milwaukee police have identified an officer who was shot this week during an exchange of gunfire with a man running from a vehicle that had crashed during a police chase.

Officer Robert Parks, 32, was shot in the leg. His partner, Officer Adam Maritato, 33, was not injured, according to a Friday news release.

Major Artis, the 24-year-old man accused of shooting the officer, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound soon after the incident, police said.

Milwaukee police released the names and photos of the officers and Artis on Friday.

Artis’ family has said they do not believe he would kill himself. A relative told the Journal Sentinel Friday his mother “hates that an officer got shot,” but remains concerned because she has not been contacted by police, nor seen evidence showing Artis was the shooter.

Milwaukee police identified on Thursday, Oct. 31 the wanted man from Alabama found dead in a home near 46th Street and Vliet Street in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Gary Eubanks, Jr., 25, was wanted for various felonies out of state.

Police say Eubanks was armed and uncooperative when members of the department’s Tactical Enforcement Unit and Specialized Investigations Division tried to take him into custody on Wednesday.

“They made numerous attempts and requests for that individual to exit the residence. However, he refused to comply,” said Assistant Chief Michael Brunson of the Milwaukee Police Department.

Gary Eubanks Jr.

Officers surrounded a home near 46th and Vliet for hours. They received information Eubanks was hiding out.

Eubanks was wanted by law enforcement in multiple states for more than a week.

On Oct. 23, Cincinnati police say Eubanks shot and killed 18-year-old Baylee Wall. 24 hours earlier and 700 miles south, police in Daphne, Alabama said the victim and Eubanks committed an armed robbery together.

“We don’t know what happened in between there. We don’t know if any additional robberies were committed. There’s just a lot of answers we don’t have at this point,” said Sgt. Jason Vannoy of the Daphne Police Department.

Trayvonn Brown is now charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Debra Casey near 14th and Orchard on Sunday morning, Oct. 6.

Brown, 26, is charged with the following criminal counts:

Second-degree reckless homicide

Possession of a firearm by a felon

According to the criminal complaint, Milwaukee police officers were dispatched to the area near 14th and Orchard shortly before 6 a.m. on Oct. 6. They saw a car with its engine running — and a woman inside who was unresponsive. The officers broke the window to gain access to the interior of the vehicle — because it was locked. They performed CPR on the victim — but were unable to locate a pulse. The victim was identified as Debra Casey.

Inside the car, detectives found a cellphone — and took it to the Milwaukee Police Department Bureau of Identification. They also located a 9mm casing in the street — and a “Newport cigarette pack inside of which were ripped corner cut baggies, consistent with drug packaging.” The criminal complaint says forensic investigators recovered fingerprints from the cellphone that were identified as belonging to Trayvonn Brown.

“Essentially, this was all over a telephone; a telephone that was left in a vehicle,” said Judge Rosa Barillas.

Brown was arrested later on Oct. 8.

Court documents say Casey and Brown were in a car together when she tried to “snatch the bag of crack rocks from him” before crashing the car. Brown told police he jumped out before realizing he left his cellphone inside the vehicle. When Brown tried to get back in the car to get the phone, he realized “the girl got scared” and locked the doors. He said he shot once at the car — trying to scare Casey when the bullet struck and killed her.

A 23-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 32 years in prison for his role in the 2017 shotgun slaying of a Milwaukee building inspector.

Eric Smiley is the last of three men sentenced for the murder of Greg “Ziggy” Zyszkiewicz, who was shot in his Ford Mustang on March 22, 2017, while working on Milwaukee’s north side.

While Smiley was not the shooter in the murder and failed carjacking, prosecutors said that as the oldest member of the group, he was likely acting as the ringleader.

Judge David Borowski said the murder was a case of good vs. evil in which a city official who was doing his job encountered three individuals acting on purely selfish motives.

Zyszkiewicz was on duty with the Milwaukee Department of Neighborhood Services and parked his vintage Ford Mustang near North 23rd and West Cherry streets when Smiley, Qhualun D. Shaw, and Deshaun K. Scott targeted him for a carjacking. Zyszkiewicz was shot with a sawed-off shotgun.

“Mr. Scott, Mr. Shaw and this defendant were participating in turning Milwaukee into a hellhole,” Borowski said.

In his statements before the delivery of the sentence, Borowski also read a quote from one of Zyszkiewicz’s colleagues: “He loved the city that killed him.”

On Memorial Day, a “veteran” of the Vietnam War was confronted by three blacks in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He refused to surrender his car to the blacks, and then actually chased after them, and they fired on his car.

The story is getting national media play, not because it is something special for blacks to commit a violent crime, but because “veteran on Memorial Day” is the kind of link people like to click. I guess.

Interestingly, this “veteran” – Saylee Vang – is a Laotian, who apparently was a traitor to communism during the war and was brought to America following the war because otherwise he’d have been killed by his fellows.

So he was moved into a black ghetto. I guess with his wife. Because he has a son who speaks his language.

What sort of a country are we living in here, that we have Laotian traitors to communism living in Wisconsin getting shot at by African jungle people?

A Milwaukee County judge ruled Kenneth Freeman is “incompetent to proceed at this time but is likely to become competent.” Freeman is charged in the murder of Carlie Beaudin.

Beaudin, 33, a Froedtert Hospital nurse practitioner, was found brutally beaten in a hospital parking structure on Jan. 25. Freeman allegedly kicked and stomped Beaudin roughly 40 times in the head and neck before ditching her body.

In court Tuesday, the judge found Freeman “is not competent to refuse psychotropic medication or treatment due to mental illness.” The court ordered Freeman commitment for treatment for incompetency.

The case is now adjourned until June 4 — when a doctor’s report on Freeman is expected to be filed.
