Maybe if boomers hadn’t totally looted the entire economy, millennials and zoomers would be doing better?

Or maybe it’s just that millennials are way worse scum than boomers ever were, and these whining faggots should have just pulled up their bootstraps and started passing out firm handshakes?

It will really be up to history to make that call. I’m in no position to do so.

The Guardian:

Nearly half of US parents provide some kind of financial support to their adult children, who are grappling with higher food and living costs than they did, a new study has found.

The study – conducted by Savings.com – found that young, working-class Americans were not substantially benefiting from the recovery of the country’s economy, as “evidenced by high employment, falling inflation, and economic growth”. That has forced many of them to continue to rely on their parents to help cover costs of living.

The average age of adults receiving financial help from their parents – sometimes at the risk of the parents’ retirement security – was 22, according to the study. And while parents surveyed in the study on average said their adult children should become financially independent by 25, many were supporting those children beyond that milestone.

Of parents providing support, 21% were helping millennials (age 28-43) or members of gen X (age 44-59). Millennials and gen X adult children were on average given between $907 and $960 each month by their parents.

Gen Z adults (between 18 and 27) were getting more help from their mothers and fathers, averaging about $1,515 monthly.

Note: The federal government is giving illegal immigrants $2200 a month.

Just for reference.

Notably, many adults from gen Z still have college and university expenses.

The most common expenses parents covered for adults across those three generations were groceries, food, cellphone bills, rent, mortgages, tuition and health insurance.

With soaring costs of food, housing and other living expenses, more adults are either choosing or being forced to still live in their parents’ home, the survey determined. And the future outlook of the cost to live in the US remains bleak.

…

The study also said 61% of adults living at their parents’ homes don’t pay rent or contribute to any household expenses.

I wish Americans were aware of how much better the quality of living is in China.

They would freak out.

Chinese millennials own multiple properties, their own companies, they’re blowing tens of thousands of dollars at casinos like it’s nothing, they’re decked out in designer clothing.

The Chinese millennial experience of “money is just falling from the sky” is very similar to the situation boomers experienced in the 1980s.

Study: Boomers Livin’ the Good Life While Millennials are Eating Dirt https://www.anglinarchive.com/2019/11/06/study-boomers-were-livin-the-good-life-while-millenials-are-eating-dirt/ Wed, 06 Nov 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Adrian Sol

Yeah, screw those boomers… Wait… Am I considered a boomer now? Shieeeet…

The essential truth of anti-boomerism has gotten so overwhelmingly obvious that even the mainstream media is now forced to admit that these people had it great while the rest of us are forced to live in relative misery due to their horrible, selfish choices.

This is after years of cringe-worthy denials and pathetic whining.

The boomer is immunized against all dangers: one may call him a scoundrel, parasite, swindler, profiteer, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But tell him “ok boomer” and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: “I’ve been found out.”

Millennials and zoomers are getting completely fed up with boomers and their trite, hypocritical lecturing. Doubly so now that it’s becoming common knowledge that boomers had it easier than any other generation in history.

CNBC:

Millennials are facing a shortfall compared to other generations when it comes to their paychecks.

Overall, millennials earn 20% less than baby boomers did at the same stage of life, according to “The Emerging Millennial Wealth Gap,” a recent report from the nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank New America. Specifically, median earnings for those 18 to 34 are lower than they were in the 1980s, a disparity that was first noted in a 2017 report from the non-profit Young Invincibles. And the flow of today’s paychecks is less predictable due, in part, to the effects of the Great Recession and a rise in contract and freelance positions that may be less consistent in hours and pay.

That’s in spite of overall higher education levels. Nearly 40% of millennials 25 to 37 have at least a bachelor’s degree, compared to just a quarter of baby boomers and 30% of Gen X when they were the same age, Pew Research Center found.

These lower wages may lead to long-term problems for this generation, experts say.

Lower income levels are already having a long term impact on millennials’ ability to accumulate wealth, either through savings or home equity. “Millennials are going to be on a completely lower trajectory than previous generations,” says Reid Cramer, director of the Millennials Initiative at New America.

And by “previous generations,” they’re obviously talking about boomers. The previous generations before that suffered through the Great Depression and World War 2, while the ones before that were still tending their fields with horses and fighting off Indian savages to go fetch water at the river 13 miles away.

Gen X are older than me, so they’re technically boomers as well.

The boomer generation ends exactly on the year I was born – as far as I’m concerned.

The generational wealth gap has reached “historic proportions,” Cramer says. The average millennial’s wealth in 2016 (ages 23 to 38) was 41% less than those who were at a similar age in 1989, the report says.

It’s also true among young families. Households headed by someone under 35 in 2016 had an average net worth of $10,900, which is $8,000 less than it was in 1995.

Part of that can be attributed to the Great Recession and its aftereffects. Those who entered the workforce following the recession had fewer job opportunities and lower wages, starting them off at a disadvantage. At the same time, many faced higher college tuition costs, leading to higher student loan and personal debt rates, the report finds.

Great recession, whatever.

I say it’s attributed to the fact that boomers were destroying all traditional institutions and living up the high life of sex, drugs and rock & roll while Jews were taking over everything and flooding the entire Western world with primitive savages.

Everyone (everyone who matters – non boomers) is fed up with these people.

The memes don’t lie.

Since World War II, fucking over the next generation became a kind of American tradition.

Sacrificing the future of the nation for feel-good illusions in the present is treason.

Daily Mail:

The average net worth of Millennials is less than $8,000 – the latest sign that the generation is doing far worse than their older cohorts, according to a new study.

It represents a 34 percent decrease since 1996 in the net worth of Americans ages 18-35, according to the report by Deloitte, an accounting and professional services firm.

The authors attribute the disparity to the fact that Millennials are facing rising student loans, higher rents and skyrocketing health costs.

‘The vast majority of consumers are under tremendous financial pressure,’ said Kasey Lobaugh, Deloitte’s chief retail innovation officer and lead author of the study in an interview with The Washington Post. ‘That is particularly true for low-income Americans and Millennials.’

…

The findings are counter to perceptions about Millennials – who are often characterized as avocado toast ordering over-spenders who are ruining America by delaying home buying, marriage and having children.

In the past, our ancestors managed to let the next generation start off better than they started. They managed to improve the environment and provide better chances for their offspring.

At some point in recent history, that changed. People began fucking over the next generation and taking debts everywhere to pay for their hedonistic, sterile lifestyles.

They ruined the future.

Why do we allow these older generations to continue to enjoy what they’ve gained through fucking the younger generations over?

We should take all of their ill-gotten wealth and use it to improve the youth and the future. Use it to fuel the creation of new families.

The wealth belongs not to them, but to the nation.

Instead, we’re experiencing financial despair while they sip their martinis in their beach condos as they talk about newer generations not knowing the value of a dollar and Mexicans working harder than Americans.

Here’s an example of this “fucking over future generations” dynamic, from a post in Reddit’s “Am I the Asshole?” community.

A user writes:

SO (33M) and I (24F) have been together for over a year and half. We’ve been living together for a few months. His family is religious and every time there’s a family event they always ask “when are you getting married?”

They all make hopeful comments about me getting pregnant soon (not the right time), always talking about how great it would be for us to wed. They’re a bit invasive, but at least they’re supportive, I guess? (shrugs).

I’m a part time student and work, SO works about 60h/week and doesn’t make a lot of money. Plus, the following:

We checked his credit score a few days ago, and it’s bad. If a score went from 1 to 1000, his would be 10. Meaning: he can’t buy a car, he can’t open a business, he can’t rent a place to live, he can’t order a credit card; he can’t do a thing involving banks and credit. He was going back to university next year for a degree he’s passionate about, but guess what? He can’t even get approved for school loans!!!

His mom owns a small business that is neck deep in debt. She owes banks about $100.000 in loans and interest. She gets angry if anyone tries to help figure it out. SO is listed as a partner in the business, and he can’t legally get out without the debt being paid off…

Besides that, his parents have taken multiple loans throughout the years in SO’s name, which they never payed back. So picture how badly a few $2k loans can grow with interest added. Then picture it over a few years span… Yeah. That bad. Plus… Telephone bills unpaid in his name (his mom’s phone).

So basically he’s fucked. He confronted his mother about this mess, and all she can say to him is: “it’s being handled” – in a very dismissive way. And we know for a fact it’s not, and will only get worse.

I am thinking about next time I see her and she asks about weddings, babies and shit, I’ll flat out say: “I will not marry your son if he doesn’t have a credit score. I will not put a child in this world to inherite over $100k in debt. I will also not mary someone and risk getting that debt either. So, until you figure this mess out, don’t bother asking me.”

I want her to know how badly she’s fucked her son over. I want her to feel it. I want to make her take responsibility and make her realize what’s at stake here.

WIBTA if I do that? Please, let me know.

The woman is interested in helping her boyfriend, but the people responding to her post are more interested in getting her to break up with the man than to point out how evil his parents and the recent previous generations of boomer-tier incompetent hedonists are.

Here are some of those comments:

NTA—but OP, the way you phrase your question suggests it’s your boyfriend’s mom you’re discussing marriage with, that she’s one of the two primary stakeholders in this question, and not your boyfriend. Think about that for a minute. I think it says a lot about your situation.

Your boyfriend could be the sweetest, funniest guy, but he is nowhere near a point where he can be someone’s husband.

The debt alone is a lot. This will take some time to pay off, and affect your quality of life.
The fact that he didn’t know about it means he hadn’t been thinking about his credit score, or even checked it. That’s a level of financial naïveté that’s concerning at his age.
He is obviously completely enmeshed with his mother/family. Your relationship with him could very well be secondary to his family relationship.
This doesn’t mean that his family wasn’t abusive, or that the abuse was his fault. He sounds like he needs a lot of help to overcome the legacies of his past – and present. But that doesn’t mean that you have to be there for his journey.

…

He’s also 34 dating a 24 year old, not a good sign he’s mature.

…

He’s 33, not 13. Suggesting he has no culpability in his own finances is asinine. He’s had 15 years to take measures to protect himself including freezing his credit and reporting his parents for identity theft. He’s done nothing and allowed it to escalate. He could’ve also taken a more active role in the management of the business. He’s done absolutely nothing.

…

It absolutely does – I agree. The point is that he’s 15 years into adulthood and hasn’t done shit to protect himself or his future. The point is that he has been complicit in his own financial ruin for well over a decade. He is likely a victim of a crime, but somewhere along the line he’s chosen to remain a victim instead of take any active measures in securing his financial future.

Imagine the outrage if someone even implied about a life-long victim of sexual abuse that “somewhere along the line she’s chosen to remain a victim instead of take any active measures in securing her sexual future.”

You’re right. He should have put a freeze on his credit years ago if he wasn’t complicit in all of this. When credit is frozen, no creditor can check his credit and won’t extend credit

“She should have put a freeze on her rape years ago if she wasn’t complicit in all of this.”

You need to decide what’s best for you and your future family.

A 33 year old that has a lot of personal, financial, and familial issues to sort out doesn’t sound like an ideal husband. I also understand that he’s been victimised to an extent too, but at 33 his finances are his responsibility. Trying to pin it all on his family is a bit misplaced, as others have said.

Most people should have good credit by 30, even if they can’t afford a house yet. That takes years to build, and your boyfriend can’t even begin to build it until he immediately does something drastic.

…

The time to have ambition and dreams is from ages 12-18. At 33, it’s long past the point those ambitions should have been realised and actively worked on.

There is a reason he’s dating someone nearly ten years his junior who still manages to be more mature.

Your SO is not an innocent here. He’s had well over a decade to start acting like an adult. He’s not fresh or of high school, just striking or on his own. He’s old enough to be married with a pile of children. Please, OP, stop looking through rose colored glasses and see this objectively. Either he’s been severely abused and is emotionally stunted, or he chose this situation and is feeding you a fairy tale.

Either way, it’s very very bad for you.

…

NTA maybe I’ll get downvoted for this but good lord honey you’re only 24 and you’re settling for a 33 year old goofball who doesn’t even have a credit score! Please don’t marry into this family whose members don’t seem to have any financial sense!

…

That is what I thought… if he’s 33, has parents’ debt, and cannot handle his finances, is going to school to get more debt…

How will he fare in tough times? Where is the responsibility? I’m 28 with some debt (~$5k), but make my minimum payments if I cannot pay more, budget, and live within my means.

The woman resists the push and refuses to break up with the man.

Here are some of her comments:

I partially agree with your point of view. This looks bad. But I disagree with the goofball part. Despite being hardworking and centered (and waaay more responsible than his parents btw), he believed them and their abilities to handle commitments. He was led to believe those bills were being paid on time, and his mother always assured him they were. He thought he was helping by signing on the loans. Every time he needed something to do with credit, they arranged so it was on someone else’s line of credit.

I will not marry him, until he has a realistic plan to get off this mess.

…

THANK YOU!

That’s exactly the situation. He’s actually doing something about this. He’s not a moron. He’s in touch with an accountant and getting in touch with a credit attourney. He is covering all his bases in a way to get out of the hole, without suing anyone. Which is why my frustration lies in the family’s behavior. They don’t ackowledge their screw up. They act as though they did nothing wrong in lying and hiding about what really was going on.

If you see your parents providing for you all your life, and running a business which they tell you is somewhat successful, do you ever even consider saying: “No, parents, I won’t sign off this loan for you.”? No… Because you are pushed into “helping us out”.

…

I am not, though.

Think about it like this: When your entire family is lousy with money, and you have no good example on how to handle finances, something as simple as pulling out your records to check your financial life is not something that comes naturally to you. Now add emotional guilt and manipulation into the mix (“You HAVE to pay our bills, because we supported you all your life”). Now add financial guilt and financial emotional manipulation on top of that (“Why would you want a receipt for this? Don’t you trust me? I told you, we’re taking care of it!”).

Sure, he should have realized things were messed up before… But add a 12h shift to this mix. Now add, not going on vacation for over six years, because you’re guilted and called lazy if you take any down time at all. What’s the result? A burned out, stressed person, with limited energy to figure messes out. He’s got life savings, yes. Does he want to destroy them to relieve parents of the burden THEY have placed? Hell no!

When he finally realized things were not okay and acted upon it, it was already very bad and very late.

I am with this person, and I worry about this person because I love and care for him deeply. The financial struggle is our only issue to move forward. We comunicate well, we are an united team, and we have converging goals. We have healthy dynamics – which is WAY more than I can say about most posters on this sub (hell, on the entirety of reddit!). So since our only issue is finances, no… I will not give up a meaningful, overrall healthy relationship, with someone I love, just because he was late to figuring out his finances, after all he’s been through. I am in no way or form “parenting him”. He’s not a child, and he’s definitely not immature. And he’s also not throwing this on me so I can sort out this mess; he’s the one sorting it out… But I can’t help being angry about the whole thing.

…

So I should ignore all the progress he’s had in such a small amount of time, ignore my feelimgs and move on because money?

People figure those things out at different rates. He’s taking charge. He’s taking measures to solve this problem. Should I just say “not good enough, you worthless loser” and move on? It’s a sad way to approach the good relationship I have with him. The healthy dynamics. The happiness we share. The personal growth. The plans we made.

Congrats on figuring it out sooner. All the power to you! But he’s not a lazy tosser just because it took him longer, you know?

…

His parents are irresponsible as hell. If it was up to them, I’d be living in their home with all of them, with a newborn baby, being a stay at home mom.

SO is very responsible. He has ambition and dreams. However he was always gaslighted into not only paying for home bills, but also staying at home. Whenever he would aspire for better jobs, for continuing his education, and for well, getting the fuck out, they always put barriers up. Now that he’s finally taking steps away with his own foot, putting up boundaries and stuff. And now he’s realizing… “Oh shit, they are irresponsible as hell”.

…

I know… I meant figuratively, but couldn’t over explain to not pass the character limit.

My reasoning is: How can we afford giving a child a life, if this ticking time bomb is on the horizon? According to the paperwork for the business, if anything happens to his mom, the business is his responsibility (he owns a percentage of the store). So besides the debt already in his name, he will be responsible for the failed business’ as well.

…

He stayed home all this time. He had a shit job before, working night shifts. His previous girlfriend who lived with him, convinced him it was best they lived at his parents’ so they could save up (she didn’t want to get a job, she felt being a house-er, not wife- was good enough)… So he complied for about 5 years.

His car was purchased on his uncle’s credit (SO paid for it, but the loan was on uncle’s name because his mother said something had come up with the financing, but she was working on it). When he finally managed to get a better paying job, he started taking more hours and working day shift (more money too).

He knew about the loans. He signed them off, and his mother led him to believe everything was being paid for. Whenever he would ask she’d say it was fine, and he had nothing to worry about. He took their word for it. He knew about the debt, but he thought it was a more manageable amount of debt, and that it was being paid off (again, his mother always said it was being paid off). She told him so, and “well, its my mum, she would tell me if it was bad, right?”. Wrong.

Recently when he decided to go back to uni, he started looking into financing and all that. He applied for a credit card and was denied. Then another one. Then he realized something was wrong, and we sat down to discuss his credit score. They abused his trust in them… Simple as that.

Unfortunately, the damage is done and she’s likely to soon “feel trapped” in the relationship and end up getting fucked by some nigger somewhere.

Older people are forcing women to fuck niggers as a consequence of the financial terrorism they inflicted on our nations.

The parents of the man from that story should sell their house and pay for the debt they inflicted upon his son.

Their time has already passed.

Old people that are both useless and damaging to the present should have their stuff taken away and put to good use.

Blood-sucking fossils have to go.

Nationalism Must Embrace the LGBTQ Community to Win https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/04/01/nationalism-must-embrace-the-lgbtq-community-to-win/ Sat, 01 Apr 2017 00:00:00 +0000 Zeiger

Many gays are already on our side.

We’ve been guilty of unfairly bashing homosexuals in the past, calling them names such as “faggots,” “perverts,” “sodomites,” and “bog-fodder.”

But the reality is that we stand no chance of winning over the globalists unless we ally with everyone who’s willing to lend a hand.

And, as it turns out, the future is LGBTQ.

WND:

The LGBT advocacy organization GLAAD, touting an online poll it claims shows a stunning 20 percent of American millennials aged 18-34 “identify as LGBTQ,” is warning on its website that the Trump administration “is erasing the LGBTQ community from the USA.”

The organization said its third annual Accelerating Acceptance report also noted an increase in acceptance of LGBTQ lifestyles in 2015, citing that year’s controversial 5-4 Supreme Court decision in favor of same-sex marriage.

But the organization lamented that such headway was not as evident in 2016, when progress “slowed.”

Are 20% of millennials queer? I don’t know.

It would make sense though.

Hell, my intuition placed the number closer to 30%.

Activists such as Dan Avery at LGBT entertainment website NewNowNext praised the report, hailing it as a harbinger of “a new openness about sexual orientation and gender identity.”

But others were more skeptical of the results, which came from “among 2,037 adults ages 18 and older, including 1,708 adults who self-identified as heterosexual.” The poll was conducted online – generally considered unscientific from the get-go – and no details were provided regarding how people were selected to participate.

Whatever the case, in order to ensure a nationalist future, we must have the youth on our side. How can we hope to win over the millennial generation if we insult them for their very identity?

It’s time to start thinking about how we can recruit these LGBTQ+ youths to our side. For one thing, if we educated them on the threat that Islam poses to their lifestyle, they’re sure to understand the importance of western values and become more patriotic.

We need to form a new generation of based, red-pilled queer youths.

It’s a good thing some people are already working on that.

Poll: Millenials Hold Positive Opinion of Alt-Right https://www.anglinarchive.com/2016/11/01/poll-millenials-hold-positive-opinion-of-alt-right/ Tue, 01 Nov 2016 00:00:00 +0000 Eric Striker

hitlermatrix

Despite holding running a tight operation over our education system, culture, media and government, the Judeo-Globalist movement is still withering away in the face of our people’s onslaught.

In a poll conducted by USA Today, a plurality of Millenials support “Alt-Right” ideas:

The online poll of 1,299 young adults, including an over-sample of minorities, was taken Oct. 21-24 by Ipsos Public Affairs. The survey has a credibility interval, akin to a margin of error, of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

The alt-right movement, which includes groups on the far right, has gained attention recently because of the support for Donald Trump by some white supremacists and anti-Semites. But it is much less well-known among Millennials. Nearly half of those surveyed, 45%, say they don’t know enough about the alt-right to have an opinion of it, compared with just 8% who say that of Black Lives Matter.

Among those who express an opinion, 34% say they have a favorable opinion of the alt-right, 21% an unfavorable one.

Among whites, the favorable-unfavorable divide is 33%-19%. Among African Americans, it is 31%-27%. Among Hispanics, 46%-23%. Among Asian Americans, 37%-23%.

“I don’t see much about the alt-right but what I have seen is positive,” says Samuel Watkins, 19, of Lima, Ohio. “I feel like they’re getting a good message across.”

“I think they’re a little radical,” says Anatasia Van Ryck Degroot, 21, a student from Hoboken, N.J. She called the movement “out of touch with society right now with their super-conservative values.”

These numbers are quite interesting, especially since you only need 30-something percent of the population – if they’re willful – to steamroll the opposition. The poll admits to oversampling minorities, and even then, many non-whites support the basic truths of what we’re saying.

When it comes to “Hispanics,” this isn’t really a race, so that should be taken with a grain of salt (a group of Iberian descended Cubans will have opinions on race and society in line with other “ethnic whites” compared with a group of Guats or Dominicans, obviously), but the approval rate is extraordinarily high. As for Asians, most of the facts asserted by the Alternative Right are taken for granted by them. And blacks, well, there’s no such thing as a “black liberal,” even if it seems they vote that way. If tomorrow I ran for office on a platform of torturing all Jews to death on Pay-Per-View and giving the proceeds to black people, I’d win close to 100% of the black vote.

das-right

The great equalizer (the internet) is why the system needs to censor us, and will prioritize either state-mandated, or more likely, private capitalist mandated (through monopolization) censorship. Our ideas are superior by default, which is why racialists and alt-right people who think our problem is about content or sophistication rather than access to the public (traditionally, this has meant the press and cable television) are wrong.

With that said, there will always be a large minority of whites (20-30%) who will support Cultural Marxism as long as people espousing these ideas are in positions of power and can stand on credentials. This is more to do with the latent urge to obey authority, especially in the case of women and low-testosterone men. The amount of mental gymnastics you have to do to convince yourself that Caitlin Jenner is a normal, mentally healthy human being is something most non-whites are frankly incapable of.

295c409a00000578-3111449-image-a-2_1433446801800

Even better news is that the spread of approval and disapproval is equal to Black Lives Matter, even though BLM has hundreds of millions of dollars and almost universal support from the media and establishment.

In the survey of Americans 18 to 34 years old, 58% say they have a favorable opinion about Black Lives Matter, an activist movement that grew from protests over the shooting deaths of unarmed African Americans. Among blacks, an overwhelming 81% have a favorable view, including 50% who are “very favorable.” Just 14% of blacks have an unfavorable opinion.

Whites have a positive impression of the movement by 53%-39%, Hispanics by 64%-31%, and Asian Americans by 54%-40%.

“Black lives matter, especially with everything that’s going on in the news and police brutality,” Daniel Palomar, 21, of Chino Hill, Calif., said in a follow-up phone interview. “Even though I do support police, too, I do support Black Lives Matter.”

Among whites, the difference (14%) is equal, in approval vs disapproval.

A lot of conservatives have been doing the right-wing version of “wow just wow” in response to the large amount of support for anti-capitalist ideas among Millenials. They conflate this with support for Cultural Marxism, which is true in some cases, but many others are simply disenchanted with the failure of the liberal capitalist system to provide living wages and the financial ability for the majority of our generation to have secure access to basic necessities and enough to start families.

In other words, non-Jewish whites who support Left-wing groups (pro-worker, pro-environment, etc) and causes are a lot like people who eat Lucky Charms for the marshmellows buried in oat pieces they feel they unfortunately have to consume (open borders, sexual perversion, and feminism are the oat pieces). If the Alt-Right takes on a traditional National Socialist platform that aggressively attacks capitalism and distances itself from the quack Jew AnCap cuckenomics of people like Stefan Molyneux and  Milo Yiannopolous, the left will only be discernible by its sickening anti-worker and anti-white social program, which means it will collapse (it’s already happening).

Keep plugging every hole, working every angle, we need to be pushy and principled (when it comes to tribal loyalties) like Jews are, rather than stew in the passivity, mealy mouths, and moralism that has traditionally plagued the Anglo-Right.

More Oswald Mosley, less Enoch Powell.

Typical “young Americans.”

The youth of America have no future.

And they know this.

What they don’t know – but are increasingly becoming aware of – is the reason they have no future is that it was stolen from them by Jews and barbarian hordes.

RT:

The family nest is getting full again as nearly a third of millennials tend to go back to live with their parents rather than settle down on their own, a new study reveals. The year 2014 saw the trend peak nearly to record-breaking levels since World War II.

The Pew Research Center found that 32.1 percent of 18-to-34 year old Americans prefer living with their parents to sharing a place with a roommate or a romantic partner.

This is compared to 31.6 percent of young adults living in their own household with a spouse or a partner. Another 14 percent, most often single mothers, headed up a household in which they lived either alone or with a roommate. The remaining 22 percent of respondents shared a house with either family members, who were not their parents, or people who they were not related to at all, at college dormitories or prisons for example.

The trend, which has peaked for the second time since the 1940s, sees clear gender, racial and educational diversity. Of those living with parents, 35 percent were men, while women were as likely to be living with a spouse (35 percent), but less likely to live at their parents’ place (29 percent). Women also were ahead of men when it came to heading up a household – 16 percent versus 13 percent. However, men outnumbered women in cases where they were living with a third family member – 25 percent of males compared to 19 percent of females.

We need Donald Trump and we need him quickly.
