Just give people psychedlic drugs.

It will make them more normal.

AP:

Money is pouring into the fledgling psychedelic medicine industry, with dozens of startup companies vying to be among the first to sell mind-expanding drugs for depression, addiction and other mental health conditions.

While psychedelics are still illegal under federal law, companies are jostling to try and patent key ingredients found in magic mushrooms, ayahuasca and other substances that have been used underground for decades or — in some cases — for millennia by indigenous cultures.

Wall Street’s sudden exuberance for hallucinogens has rankled longtime advocates and philanthropists, who dreamed of making low-cost psychedelics widely available for mental health and personal growth. Instead, many now see a very different future for drugs like psilocybin and LSD: as expensive, specialty medications controlled by a handful of biotech companies.

“It’s disappointing,” said Carey Turnbull, an investor and philanthropist who sits on the board of several psychedelic nonprofits. “All the air is getting sucked out of the room by these for-profit companies who say, ‘Wow, this stuff is awesome, if I could patent it I’d make a fortune.’”

Since 2010, Turnbull and his wife have donated millions to fund psychedelic research at New York University, Yale and other top academic centers.

…

Psychedelics never fit the business model of the traditional blockbuster drug: an exclusive, patent-protected medicine that patients take regularly for years.

None of the psychedelics currently being studied are new. Synthetic drugs like LSD and ecstasy have been off patent for decades. Naturally occurring substances like psilocybin, found in certain mushrooms, can’t be patented by themselves.

And then there’s the challenge of administering drugs that bring about intense, disorienting visions and experiences. All the drugs vying for FDA approval will have to be given under professional supervision, typically during several therapy sessions lasting about six to eight hours each.

All those hours and professional fees will drive up costs, which many analysts say could range from $5,000 to $10,000 for one course of treatment.

Psychedelic executives say the only way to defer those costs is to conduct large, rigorous clinical studies needed for FDA approval, which could compel insurers to pay for psychedelics. But funding those studies requires raising tens of millions from investors, who typically only back drugmakers with strong patents.

“The only way you’re going to bring about that broad and equitable access is with robust intellectual property,” said Kabir Nath, CEO of Compass Pathways, which is studying laboratory-made psilocybin for depression, anorexia and other disorders.

Compass is among the most aggressive companies in terms of trying to patent its technology, with dozens of applications filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

One submission describes the “soft furniture” and “muted colors” that would decorate rooms where patients take psilocybin. Another patent lays claim to a specific, microscopic structure found in Compass’ synthetic psilocybin, which the company claims is uniquely suited for mass production.

The company’s efforts have drawn ridicule from some researchers, who note that as early as the 1970s, psychedelic therapists had codified the settings and techniques described in Compass patents.

“It just seems like a blatant power grab,” said Frederick Barrett, a neuroscientist who directs Johns Hopkins University’s psychedelic center.

Welp.

We’ve reached another new low.

New Jersey May Legalize Shrooms for “Recreational” Use https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/01/17/new-jersey-may-legalize-shrooms-for-recreational-use/ Wed, 17 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0000

There are good libertarian arguments about drugs. For example: it’s simply a fact that 100 years ago, everyone had a bottle of heroin in their medicine cabinet, and yet there weren’t any junkies.

However, that ship has sailed, and due to whatever series of harsh realities, we have a lot of junkies in our society. Therefore, any move to make drugs legal is an attempt to increase use.

Mushrooms are not an addictive drug. They cause hallucinations, without euphoria.

But why would you want more people taking these drugs? What is the purpose?

New York Post:

New Jersey is mulling a law that would make it only the third state to decriminalize so-called “magic mushrooms” — and it may even allow residents grow their own supply right at home.

State lawmakers introduced a bill last week that would allow for the manufacturing and sale of products with psilocybin — the chemical in shrooms that produces the hallucinations — and let anyone over the age of 21 use it without penalty, according to The Record newspaper.

It would also expunge past and pending offenses involving the drug, and let people legally possess up to four grams of psilocybin, the outlet said.

Although several cities — such as Denver, Oakland, Seattle and Detroit — have legalized the drug in recent years, only Oregon and Colorado have moved to decriminalize it statewide.

Although opponents argue legalization will boost drug abuse, the bill has strong backing in the state government’s upper chamber, with Senate President Nick Scutari listed as its sponsor.

Scutari was the original sponsor of the state’s long push to legalize recreational marijuana, which passed in 2021.

The state health department would issue licenses for manufacturing facilities and retailers, as well as testing laboratories, The Record said.

Mushrooms or other psilocybin products would have to be consumed at specific service centers, which would also offer prep sessions, screenings and “administration sessions” that would have employees guide customers through their hallucinogenic episodes, according to the outlet.

The centers wouldn’t be allowed in residential neighborhoods or within 1,000 feet of a school.

…

The new legalization push comes just as one of the Garden State’s largest health care providers moves forward on plans to use psychedelics to treat depression and other major mental illnesses, the outlet said.

The only logical explanation as to why you would want people doing hallucinogenic drugs is that you want people to be less engaged with the society.

You notice that through all this drug legalization, there is no attempt to decriminalize or legalize cocaine, even though it is much less addictive than marijuana. The reason, presumably, is that cocaine is a “right-wing” drug in that it is associated with people who work a lot, rather than people who lay around watching Netflix.

Denver Decriminalizes Magic Mushrooms – Why? https://www.anglinarchive.com/2019/05/10/denver-decriminalizes-magic-mushrooms-why/ Fri, 10 May 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Andrew Anglin

Well. This is better than decriminalizing marijuana, I guess.

At least someone can theoretically learn something by taking magic mushrooms.

Fox News:

Voters in Denver, Colorado decided on Tuesday to decriminalize psilocybin, or “magic mushrooms,” by a thin margin, making it the first city in the U.S. to do so.

The initiative, led by Decriminalize Denver, passed by 1,979 votes when the voting tallies for Initiated Ordinate 301 were released on Wednesday.

According to online results from the Denver Elections Division, 89,320 people voted in favor of decriminalizing, while 87,341 others voted against it. Election officials said on Twitter that the “results remain unofficial” until they are certified on May 16.

The measure makes the personal use and possession of psilocybin mushrooms by those 21 years of age or older Denver’s “lowest law-enforcement priority,” according to the measure’s language. It does not legalize psilocybin or permit its sale by Denver’s cannabis businesses.

What none of the governments are going to do is legalize cocaine. I can tell you that. Because instead of being a drug that limits and suppresses motivation and creativity, cocaine actually increases motivation and creativity.

And that is the last thing they want for the goyim.

They will probably eventually completely legalize heroin, while throwing people in prison for cocaine possession.

No one is even talking about legalizing cocaine. It is totally off the table. Even though it is a known fact that no one has ever achieved anything while high on marijuana, while most people who ever achieved anything great were high on cocaine.

I don’t know what the reasoning for decriminalizing magic mushrooms could possibly be.

Like, why?

If you legalized cocaine you could be like “look, we know this kills people and causes problems, but we’ve got to get things going here – the economy and society need a jump start, we have to compete with the Chinese and so on, and we don’t have any other choice but to start passing out cocaine – we gotta get things moving here, folks.”

You could also make an argument about how the entire city of Washington, DC is on cocaine, and you need to level out the playing field so people can oppose the government.

“The end will justify the means.”

And people could be like “okay, yeah, I follow you, makes sense.”

I’m not saying I support legalizing cocaine, per se – just that you could make a rational argument for doing so.

But why would you give people other drugs?

NOTE: I am not attempting to justify cocaine use, and certainly not encouraging it. Cocaine actually does kill you eventually and it can also cause various personal problems. I am simply making a point about the absurdity of legalizing drugs, and the fact that this could only be done to purposefully harm society.

New Leftist Plan: Drug Nazis with Magic Mushrooms to Fight Fascism https://www.anglinarchive.com/2018/02/04/new-leftist-plan-drug-nazis-with-magic-mushrooms-to-fight-fascism/ Sun, 04 Feb 2018 00:00:00 +0000 Adrian Sol

Can mushrooms turn you away from American nationalism?

The Jew liberal establishment has been in full-panic mode for over a year now, and we’re starting to see some of the more hilarious fruits of that phenomenon.

Scientists are looking into new innovative ways to “fight fascism” (ie. the Alt-Right and Trumpism). For example, a few months back, scientists found a link between authoritarian attitudes and being infected with parasites:

TOP KEK! Actually, that sounds about right.

Unfortunately, they didn’t arrive at the obvious conclusion that getting rid of parasites such as Jews and negroes would do wonders for their agenda to stem the tide of fascism.

Now, a new study claims that ingesting magic mushrooms will “cure” people of their authoritarian attitudes.

Big Think:

Researchers found unlikely heroes in keeping the world from authoritarianism – magic mushrooms. Scientists from the Psychedelic Research Group at Imperial College London showed that psilocybin, the active compound in psychedelic mushrooms, makes people less likely to embrace authoritarian views like fascism and more connected with nature.

Hmmm…

The study, authored by Taylor Lyons and Robin L. Carhart-Harris, a leading researcher in this field, shows that psilocybin treatment can lead to lasting changes in such mindsets.

“Treatment.”

I guess tripping out on shrooms is a “treatment” now. OK.

“Our findings tentatively raise the possibility that given in this way, psilocybin may produce sustained changes in outlook and political perspective, here in the direction of increased nature relatedness and decreased authoritarianism,” write Carhart-Harris and Lyons.

The main issue here is the ridiculous assumption that feelings of connectedness with nature and authoritarianism are somehow incompatible.

In reality, soyboy commie faggotry is a symptom of total disconnectedness with the natural order.

This is nature:

No communism here.

Somehow the ants don’t care about the bee’s feelings.

Yes, even plants can be vicious killers.

Hippy types are generally city-dwellers whose only relationship to nature is watching documentaries on TV and taking the occasional hike.

Country folk who actually are connected with nature, by virtue of living in it, usually have a much harder and more authoritarian view of the world.

2016 election map. Notice how the vast wilderness is largely red, while the urbanized coastlines are blue. This is not a coincidence.

What Lyons and Carhart-Harris set out to understand in their relatively small current study (involving 14 subjects) was whether using psilocybin could specifically promote anti-authoritarian attitudes and nature-oriented feelings. They compared 7 subjects with major depression, who were resistant to previous treatment and now received two oral doses of psilocybin, to 7 control subjects who were not taking the psychedelic ingredient.

The scientists checked in with the participants before they started treatment, a week into it and after 7-12 months. They found that participants who got the psilocybin had a clear increase in their attitudes of nature-relatedness after just 1 week – an effect they sustained after 7-12 months as well.

“Before I enjoyed nature, now I feel part of it,” wrote one subject. “Before I was looking at it as a thing, like TV or a painting… [But now I see] there’s no separation or distinction, you are it.”

These participants also showed a marked and lasting decrease in authoritarian attitudes and had fewer depression symptoms. Those who have not received the drug, showed no such changes.

Psilocybin is a drug that improves neuro-plasticity. In other words, it allows your brain to make new connections, improving the ability to learn new things, give up on old habits, and so on. Naturally, with weak-minded people who are also living in an liberalized environment, that will also make them absorb the surrounding propaganda more effectively.

It could be worthy of further study in terms of its use in therapy, but it definitely doesn’t have any inherent ability to make people “less authoritarian,” whatever that means.

It’s crazy how unhinged these people are becoming as a result of this “Trump panic.”
