The suspected leader of a jihadist cell has told a Moroccan court that he beheaded one of two Scandinavian hikers murdered in the High Atlas mountains.

Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway, were found beheaded in an isolated area in December.

Abdessamad Ejjoud, a 25-year-old street vendor, told the court: “I beheaded one of them… I regret it.”

He and 23 other alleged Islamists are on trial in Salé, near Rabat.

Three of them – Ejjoud, Younes Ouaziyad, 27, and Rachid Afatti, 33 – are accused of pledging allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) group and carrying out the killings. They could face the death penalty if found guilty.

The identity of Ejjoud’s victim was not made clear.

The three are the only ones directly accused of carrying out the murders. All 24 defendants face various terrorism charges.

A video appearing to show the beheading of one of the women was shared widely on social media by IS supporters.

Police in Norway have said that video is almost certainly real. In Denmark, charges have been brought against 14 people suspected of sharing the footage.

In the video, one of the militants refers to “the enemies of Allah” and claims the murders are revenge for the killings of jihadists in Syria.

According to the Parody Pope, walls don’t work and the only real defense is to talk to apes, so clearly these women should’ve attempted to have a conversation with their Moroccan friends about why severing their heads would be not cool.

Back then, Sweden threatened people with four years in prison for sharing the video, and now Denmark is prosecuting 14 people for doing just that.

Danish police have launched prosecutions against 14 people who allegedly shared a video showing the murder of a young woman in Morocco.

Police inspector Michael Kjeldgaard at East Jutland Police said that the individuals were charged after sharing the footage via Facebook Messenger or other social media, according to a statement released on Thursday.

Twelve individuals have been charged with unauthorized disclosure of the video under “especially aggravating” circumstances.

This section of the Danish penal code is normally used to prosecute those who share images or videos of people that they would not want to be made public, such as revenge porn, Deputy Attorney General Jakob Berger Nielsen told CNN via telephone.

Berger Nielsen said that the law is designed to protect people from having images of them shared online without their consent.

He is not aware of any previous cases of the article being used to prosecute those who share terror-related content.

“It’s important that everybody knows that it could be illegal to share these kinds of images,” he said.

Translation:

“Yeah we’ve never done this kind of thing before, people regularly shared videos of terrorism killings and stuff, but now diversity is at risk and we must act.”

This video is special because it depicts a white woman being brutally murdered after falling for the equality delusion and going to hike in Morocco. Moroccan authorities announced Wednesday that more suspects were arrested in connection with the Islamic State-inspired murders of two Scandinavian hikers in the High Atlas Mountains, bringing the total number to 19.

A Moroccan government spokesman says 10 new suspects were arrested over the last two days for their links with the alleged killers of 24-year-old Louisa Vesterager Jespersen of Denmark and 28-year-old Maren Ueland of Norway.

The two women were found dead on Dec. 17 in their camping tent in a remote area of the Atlas Mountains. The tourists were stabbed multiple times before the murderers slit their throats and decapitated them.

The alleged ringleader of the horrific murders, Abdessamad Ejjoud, 25, was arrested Tuesday. Abdelhak Khiam, the head of the country’s central office for judicial investigation, told Agence France-Presse that Ejjoud had “formed a kind of cell that discussed how to carry out a terrorist act inside the kingdom … targeting the security services or foreign tourists.”

Among the 19 arrested, Khaim said three had terrorism-related criminal records.

Three men have been arrested after two Scandinavian backpackers were found dead in their tent in Morocco with cuts to their necks.

Louisa Jespersen, 24, from Denmark and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway, had pitched up in a ‘remote mountainous region’ 6.2 miles away from the village of Imlil, at the foot of Mount Toubkal.

Their bodies were later found with evidence of ‘violence to their necks’ caused by a ‘cutting device’, said a spokesman for Morocco’s interior ministry.

One witness alleged that both women were discovered ‘decapitated’ on December 17, although this has not been confirmed.

The two women, who studied together at the University of South-Eastern Norway, had travelled to Morocco together on December 9.

Morocco World News reported that three suspects from Marrakesh who were camping nearby have been arrested in connection with the murders.

‘The suspects were camping in the same area that the murder took place,’ a source told the publication.

‘Witnesses saw the group at night as they were heading to the camp area.’

Police are said to have identified the suspects with the use of CCTV from shops in the near by village.
