Democratic Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said the youths of the city are “unloved” after police revealed more than 50% of carjackings are carried about by juvenile suspects.

“There are too many young people in this room that feel unloved, and we need to change that if we are going to change the trajectory of their lives,” Lightfoot said at a town hall with Chicago youths at Harold Washington Library on Saturday.

Chicago police recently released data showing 57% of the city’s carjackings are committed by juvenile suspects.

Lightfoot said Chicago cannot “arrest ourselves” out of crime increases, Fox 32 reported.

The mayor suggested back in February that the city’s carjacking spikes were linked to remote learning sparked by the coronavirus.

But wait just one cotton-picking minute here, bitch.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been accused in a new lawsuit of throwing a temper tantrum over a plan to display a Christopher Columbus statue in the city’s annual Columbus parade last fall – threatening to pull the permit for the entire parade and then berating city officials in a ‘hastily called Zoom meeting.’

In a lawsuit against Lightfoot and the city, Former Chicago Park District deputy general counsel George Smyrniotis says he was tasked with hammering out a deal with lawyers for an Italian American group in order to try and settle a lawsuit over Lightfoot’s removal of Columbus statues from the city. According to Timothy King, then the district’s top lawyer, and then-superintendent Michael Kelly, the lawsuit needed to disappear “as soon as possible.”

Smyrniotis says that after hammering out the deal to display the Columbus statue in the annual parade (last, and covered up until the very end), Lightfoot flipped out.

During the contentious Zoom call with Park District Officials, Lighfoot “proceeded to berate and defame” the lawyers for the city – reportedly asking “Where did you go to law school? Did you even go to law school? Do you even have a law license?”

She then told them that they had to submit their pleadings to a city lawyer for approval, and were told “not to do a fucking thing with that statue without my approval,” according to the Chicago Tribune.

“Get that fucking statue back before noon tomorrow or I am going to have you fired,” Lightfoot said, per the complaint.

Smyrniotis then says Lightfoot made obscene comments to he and King – calling them “dicks,” and asking “What the fuck were you thinking?”

“You make some kind of secret agreement with Italians. … You are out there stroking your dick over the Columbus statue, I am trying to keep Chicago police officers from being shot and you are trying to get them shot,” she allegedly said, adding “My dick is bigger than yours and the Italians, I have the biggest dick in Chicago.”

Smyrniotis asserts the alleged comments defamed him by imputing that he lacked the ability to perform his job duties. He resigned from the Park District last month, according to the lawsuit. King has also since left the Park District.

In response to a request for a statement, a Law Department spokeswoman said, “The city has not yet been served with a complaint and will have no further comment as the matter is now in litigation.”

The lawsuit by Smyrniotis is just the latest fallout over Lightfoot’s July 2020 decision to remove Columbus statues from Chicago’s public places. -Chicago Tribune

Last July, the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans sued the Chicago Park District – asserting that the city violated a 1973 deal to display the Columbus statue in Little Italy, when Lightfoot had the statue removed in Summer 2020.

Lightfoot says she ordered Columbus statues removed after activists clashed with police and other protesters following their removal of a prominent Columbus statue in Grant Park.

An attorney for the Italian American group, Enrico Mirabelli, says Smyrniotis’ allegations strengthen his case.

“Presuming the mayor has been accurately quoted, her comments give proof to the claim that she has wrongfully interfered with my client’s contract with the Chicago Park District in a degree that is unprecedented,” he said.

If “mutual combat” is a reason not to charge someone over a shooting, then that is definitely not going to reduce the instances of black gang activity.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has reportedly defended her controversial decision to grant interview requests only to minority journalists — calling the number of non-whites covering her “unacceptable.”

“I would absolutely do it again. I’m unapologetic about it because it spurred a very important conversation, a conversation that needed to happen, that should have happened a long time ago,” Lightfoot told The New York Times’ “Sway” host Kara Swisher on Monday of the temporary May declaration.

As she marked her two-year anniversary in office in May, the Democrat — whose city is in the midst of a plague of gun violence and is on track to surpass last year’s total of 48 mass shootings — assailed the “overwhelming whiteness” of the Windy City’s media and announced that she’d grant one-on-one interviews only to minority members, Fox News reported.

“Here is the bottom line for me, to state the obvious, I’m a black woman mayor. I’m the mayor of the third-largest city in the country, obviously I have a platform, and it’s important to me to advocate on things that I believe are important,” Lightfoot told Swisher.

“Going back to why I ran, to disrupt the status quo. The media is critically important to our democracy … the media is in a time of incredible upheaval and disruption but our City hall press corps looks like it’s 1950 or 1970,” she added.

Lightfoot urged media outlets to be “focused on diversity.”

“In Chicago, we have a huge amount of diverse media talent. We’ve got schools that are of journalism that are best in class across the country, and I would say, really, across the world,” she said.

“So the absence of journalists of color, covering the mayor of the third-largest city in a country is absolutely unacceptable. And so I decided to say something about it,” the mayor added.

But she also noted that politicians should not get to decide who covers them.

The only way for brown people to get ahead is to ban and punish white people.

Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police issued a vote of no-confidence in Mayor Lori Lightfoot Wednesday, citing poor work conditions and the cancellation of a march for fallen officers due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The vote by the police union, as well as police Superintendent David Brown and First Deputy Eric Carter, was unanimous among as many as 200 active and retired rank-and-file officers, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Reasons cited for the move reportedly include officer burnout and the department’s decision to cancel off days for cops on several occasions — as well as a move from 8 ½-hour shifts to 12-hour work periods in preparation for possible unrest in the city.

The symbolic action also followed the second consecutive year that the Chicago Police Department canceled its annual St. Jude Memorial March for the city’s fallen cops while citing the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The basis for this no-confidence vote is pretty simple, it’s two-fold,” FOP President John Catanzara said in a video statement. “It’s a lack of respect for the Gold Star families and the cancellation of the St. Jude parade.”

All they’re trying to do is get Lightfoot to resign, which is a noble goal, but not really a very important one.

Lightfoot would be replaced by another Democrat, and anti-police policies are not the official policy of the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party wants to replace the police in every city with some kind of federal law enforcement body.

If the police had any sense at all, they would go on strike. Even now, if police went on strike, the murder rate would go up ten times in a matter of days, and white people’s doors would be getting kicked in. The police could get any Democrat Mayor or Governor to resign in any city, anywhere – and they could probably prevent any Democrat from getting elected.

If people tasted the hell that is coming when there are literally no more cops, even the most Affluent, Liberal, White Female would vote Republican. They would vote in such extreme numbers, that there would be no way for any Democrats to commit fraud. The only place any Democrat could maintain power would be in places that are overwhelmingly white, like Vermont.

The police could literally save America by going on a national strike.

But the cops won’t do that.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Wednesday defended her decision to grant interviews on her two-year anniversary in office only to journalists of color, saying it was intended as an effort to confront the issue of what she described as a mostly white and male City Hall press corps.

But the move, revealed Tuesday by her office, was greeted skeptically by some in the Chicago media and beyond, with questions about whether excluding white reporters is a discriminatory act from a mayor who has had an often contentious relationship with reporters of all backgrounds.

Lightfoot emailed a two-page letter to Chicago journalists on Wednesday saying her choice was a continuation of her campaign’s promise to “break up the status quo.”

According to this logic, any insane action would qualify.

“I have been struck since my first day on the campaign trail back in 2018 by the overwhelming whiteness and maleness of Chicago media outlets, editorial boards, the political press corps, and yes, the City Hall press corps specifically,” Lightfoot wrote.

She wrote that there are no women of color assigned to the City Hall beat, saying, “I find this unacceptable and I hope you do too.”

WBEZ disputed the mayor’s observation in a Wednesday story, noting that two of its three City Hall reporters are women, one Hispanic and the other South Asian.

Yeah, okay.

But why would you respond with that?

Once you start playing this game with these people, it never ends.

If you say you have Mexican and Asian reporters, she will say she wants more trannies.

The Chicago Tribune – to their credit – goes on to say they didn’t send anyone to interview her as a way to object to these restrictions.

Without even going very deep into race analysis, you can see that this “no whites allowed” thing is just weird nonsense.

Lightfoot isn’t afraid of the whites when she’s in bed with her lesbian lover and fake “wife” – who is white.

In fact, the entire attack on white people appears to be a hoax to distract people from the disaster that is her city. Chicago had a more than 50% increase in shootings in 2020.

In 2021, things are even worse.

As of April 1, murders were up 33% and shootings were up 43% over last year. Does that mean black people’s aim is getting even worse???

Overall, shootings are just about double what they were in 2019.

So, you think: “well, Chicago is a big city, so you’re still not very likely to get shot.”

But most of those shootings are within a few very black neighborhoods.

If you’re black and live in one of these neighborhoods, you’re likely to have a friend or family member get shot at least once a year and probably sometimes more than once a year. And basically: no one is ever arrested.

The “solved” rate of murders is less than 80% and the rate of finding a shooter who doesn’t manage to kill someone is much lower.

There is nowhere else on earth that is as violent and lawless as these few Chicago neighborhoods. The media tries to pass that off by talking about the fact that it’s a big city, and that is just a word game.

Anyway, you would think the blacks that live in these neighborhoods would not really take much solace in Lori Lightfoot standing up against white journalists. No white people live in these neighborhoods, and it’s likely that most people that do live in these neighborhoods go weeks or months without ever seeing a single white person.

So, the point here is: this is supposed to be a mayor elected by blacks to deal with black issues, but she has made zero attempt to do anything about the city’s murder problem and is instead zooming in on weird identity politics nonsense.

This is to say: all of this identity politics and “Black Lives Matter” and down with whitey stuff is really just a massive hoax and a scam. It’s not about helping black people. It’s about hurting white people.

Black people are going to shoot each other. That’s just something you’re going to have happen.

What is amazing is that even in our high-tech police state, and even when a baby is shot, the police don’t make arrests.

A 1-year-old is in grave condition after he was shot in the head during an apparent road rage incident in Chicago, officials said.

The shooting occurred around 11 a.m. local time Tuesday on Lake Shore Drive, police said.

Shots were fired for approximately two blocks along the expressway, during which a nearly 2-year-old child was struck in the head, Cmdr. Jake Alderden of the Chicago Police Department’s 1st District told reporters during a press briefing a few hours after the incident. Multiple shell casing were recovered across those two blocks, he said.

The drivers appear to be “completely unknown to each other,” Alderden said.

“There was a dispute possibly over somebody not letting somebody into a lane of traffic,” he said.

The vehicle carrying the child continued driving before crashing shortly after on Lake Shore Drive.

A good Samaritan took the toddler and other occupants of the car to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. From there, he was transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital, where he was in critical condition, Alderden said.

Police recovered a handgun from the crashed car and are determining if it was fired during the incident, the commander said.

Imagine it: you’re in the car with your baby, someone starts shooting, so you grab your gun and start shooting back.

The car carrying the 1-year-old victim crashed following the gunfire, police said.

“Obviously any time anyone is shot in Chicago it is tragic, particularly when it is a child,” the mayor said during a press briefing Tuesday afternoon. “This was simple, but stupid, road rage.”

The victim was receiving full critical care support, including the use of a ventilator, in the pediatric intensive care unit, Lurie Children’s Hospital officials said Tuesday afternoon.

Crime is totally out of control in Chicago.

In 2020, murders shot up 55%, because the city pulled the police.

Ultimately, 2021 will have about two and a half times the murder rate of 2019.

But here’s the thing: when they start killing whites, it’s going to be like when they kill blacks: no suspect, no arrest, no description of the car.

You would think people would want to think this through a bit more. But apparently not.

The Chicago Police Department has effectively banned protesters from demonstrating on Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s block in the Logan Square neighborhood, ordering officers to arrest anyone who refuses to leave, the Tribune has learned.

The directive surfaced in a July email from then-Shakespeare District Commander Melvin Roman to officers under his command. It did not distinguish between the peaceful protesters Lightfoot regularly says she supports and those who might intend to be destructive, but ordered that after a warning is given to demonstrators, “It should be locked down.”

Since the order, and even for a time just prior to its writing, Chicago cops have repeatedly blocked protesters’ access to the block with groups of officers and barricades. Police have often kept protesters contained at the nearby corner of Kimball and Wrightwood avenues, though one standoff between activists and officers last month saw police go as far as bringing in an armored vehicle in case things got out of hand.

Some neighbors in the Logan Square area have complained about the city’s approach to protests around Lightfoot’s house, which at times has included checking residents’ IDs before letting them close. Ron Kaminecki, a 69-year old patent attorney and bike shop owner who lives on Bernard Street a few houses from Lightfoot, said some neighbors have been frustrated by the police presence and barricades.

“I came up with the name ‘Fort Lori’ because it’s so hard to get in and out,” Kaminecki said.

As recently as Friday, dozens of protesters were turned away from the block after trying to march to the mayor’s house in support of local school councils voting Chicago police off their campuses. Barricades can be seen set aside for quick deployment even on days without demonstrations.

In response to questions from the Tribune, police said state law and Chicago’s municipal code prohibit protests in residential areas.

“CPD remains committed to facilitating First Amendment rights, while also protecting public safety. CPD continues to enforce state law and the City’s municipal code regarding public assembly,” police spokeswoman Margaret Huynh said in a statement. “The block is open at this time.”

Some Logan Square residents agreed, criticizing the city’s approach to the protests. Lauren Dean, who lives nearby and emailed the Tribune after an inquiry from the newspaper to residents opposing the handling of demonstrations, said the mayor is trying to avoid hearing public criticism.

“While Lori is on national stages talking about how we need to reform police by creating fewer day-to-day interactions between police and citizens, her own city is not allowed to move through the neighborhood or feel the same kind of safety she is claiming to advocate for nationally,” Dean wrote. “As a neighbor, I find protests and actions near her home significantly less disruptive than her response to the protestors, which only aim to keep her from having to listen to the voices of her constituents.”

It was unclear whether some neighbors might be in favor of a police presence keeping protesters at bay. On the block this week, barricades with the look of French railings sat to the side off Wrightwood Avenue near the house, as one passerby pushed a stroller down Lightfoot’s block and another walked a dog.

One of Lightfoot’s neighbors, who said he’s lived on Wrightwood for three years, said he sees no problem with protesters assembling on the block, and doesn’t think the city’s response includes listening to them. At times this summer there have been as many as 50 police officers within two blocks of the mayor’s house, he said..

“The visual of that, I think, could strike a person as kind of chilling,” said the neighbor, who asked not to be identified for privacy reasons. “Seeing such a strong police presence, I would say it can feel intimidating, whether or not it’s intended that way.”

Aside from the expanded police presence to block protesters from reaching her home, Lightfoot already receives 24/7 protection from cops including officers stationed at the residence. The aggressive policing has sometimes siphoned away resources from the area’s police district, some sources with knowledge of the situation said, leading to quiet grumbling.

As mayor, Lightfoot has been especially security conscious. She broke with tradition by hiring former Deputy U.S. Marshal Jim Smith to lead her detail instead of using someone from the Police Department.

Then, earlier this summer, Lightfoot gave him leadership control over the Chicago police officers assigned to guard City Hall and her home.
