I don’t really even know if this sort of thing is serious at this point.

The “woke” stuff has become like self-parody.

We shouldn’t look at it as benign, as it is hostile, and these people do want to do what they say they want to do. But we are far enough out from “coronavirus” and “George Floyd” that people are rolling their eyes at this stuff.

Daily Mail:

They are the acclaimed works of medieval literature that tell the story of a religious pilgrimage to one of the most important cathedrals in all of Christendom.

But to the astonishment of critics, a leading university has slapped a trigger warning on Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales – because they contain ‘expressions of Christian faith’.

Nottingham University has now been accused of ‘demeaning education’ for warning students about the religious elements of Chaucer’s stories – saying that anyone studying one of the most famous works in English literature would hardly have to have the Christian references pointed out.

The Mail on Sunday has obtained details of the notice issued to students studying a module called Chaucer and His Contemporaries under Freedom of Information laws. It alerts them to incidences of violence, mental illness and expressions of Christian faith in the works of Chaucer and fellow medieval writers William Langland, John Gower, and Thomas Hoccleve.

Lola Young, the university’s chancellor

The Canterbury Tales, written between 1387 and 1400, is a collection of stories about characters on a pilgrimage from London to the tomb of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral.

They include the promiscuous Wife of Bath, the drunken miller and the thieving reeve, who delight and shock each other with stories containing explicit references to rape, lust and even anti-Semitism.

However, the university’s warning makes no reference to the anti-Semitism or sexually explicit themes.

Everyone should take time to read Chaucer, and to learn some of the original language.

He was a real one.

UK: University Completely Scrubs “Anglo-Saxon” from Its Curriculum in Honor of George Floyd https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/09/07/uk-university-completely-scrubs-anglo-saxon-from-its-curriculum-in-honor-of-george-floyd/ Sat, 07 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000

It’s about time someone wiped out the Anglo-Saxons.

The Irish have been trying to do it for hundreds of years, so it’s ironic that a dead nigger finally succeeded where generations of heroes of the Eire failed.

Salute George Floyd, breaker of chains.

Breitbart:

In a Black Lives Matter-inspired move, a British university has cancelled the term “Anglo-Saxon” from its curriculum.

The University of Nottingham has removed “Algo-Saxon” from courses on history and literature to push back against “nationalist narratives”.

According to The Telegraph, a masters-level course, Viking and Anglo-Saxon Studies, has been renamed as Viking and Early Medieval English Studies.

This  Lola Young creature is the chancellor of the university (is it tranny?)

This is Shearer West, the vice-chancellor (is it tranny?)

Another module, a literature course originally named “A Tale of Seven Kingdoms: Anglo-Saxon and Viking-Age England from Bede to Alfred the Great” has been recast as “Early Mediaeval England from Bede to Alfred the Great”.

While the thrust of the “decolonise the curriculum” agenda — which the university pledged to do amid the Black Lives Matter movement — has typically focussed on attacking British history and identity, the university reportedly said that it will seek to “problematize the term ‘Viking’” as well.

Nottingham academics have also been seeking to dismantle “essentialist ideas” about nationality, namely the very concept of a distinct English identity which has unique and fundamental characteristics.

It’s going to take the British a while to learn that woke is over.

I don’t even know if Deadpool 3 has been released there yet.

The Great Replacement is literally everywhere. They’ve gone back in time to replace us.

Boomer Environmentalist Whines About “Xenophobic” Attitudes Toward Invasive Species https://www.anglinarchive.com/2018/04/12/boomer-environmentalist-whines-about-xenophobic-attitudes-toward-invasive-species/ Thu, 12 Apr 2018 00:00:00 +0000 Michael Byron

Due to their focus on plants and animals, environmentalists are able to use language that would, in an anthropological context, be considered “problematic” and “racist.”

For example, it’s considered acceptable to say “Japanese knotweed is a menace to gardens, we need to purge it from Britain,” but not “African niggers are a menace to humans, we need to purge them from Earth.”

Likewise, it’s considered acceptable to say “gray squirrels destroy forest trees and contribute to the decline of woodland birds,” but not “Pakis destroy white civilizations and contribute to the decline of national IQs.”

If a certain boomer from Bongland gets his way, however, then even that sort of thing will be set to change.

Breitbart:

Discussion of the threats posed by invasive non-native species such as the grey squirrel is “terrifyingly similar” to concerns over mass migration, according to an environmentalist.

A consultant for New Scientist magazine, Fred Pearce argues that foreign flora and fauna are being “demonised” unfairly while the problematic species which are native to Britain are given a free pass.

Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of a planned talk at Edinburgh Science Festival on the topic, Pearce decried the language used to describe “invasive species” as “very xenophobic”, stating it “suggests that anything foreign is bad”.

You’re being racist against wildlife, goyim.

Racist and mean.

Look at these innocent knotweeds who fled from the brutal civil war in Japan:

Don’t you think it’s right to let them stay in your garden?

We all bleed chlorophyll, you know. ;_;

What about this handsome sea lamprey, who migrated to the Great Lakes in search of a better life?

Cold-hearted Canadians consider him an “invasive species,” but we all know what really motivates them: hatred for the color of his teeth.

“It is terrifyingly similar to the language which can be used about immigrants invading the country,” added the environmentalist, who claims scientists are more likely to present species as dangerous if they are foreign in his book The New Wild: Why Invasive Species Will Be Nature’s Salvation.

This arch-boomer literally wrote a book arguing that invasive species benefit nature.

Not foreign species; invasive ones. Ones that are proven to damage the ecosystem.

He wants to bring more of them to Europe.

According to Pearce, the dangers of Japanese knotweed — a plant so destructive, fast-growing, and difficult to kill that allowing it to spread beyond one’s own property is a criminal offence — have been overhyped, wrongly drawing attention away from native menaces such as nettles.

Yeah, except that Japanese knotweed is foreign to Europe, so the destruction it caused wouldn’t have happened if it had remained in Asia. Meanwhile, we lose nothing with nettles, because they belong to Europe in the first place.

Hmm, I’m sure that logic can be applied elsewhere…

Pearce is not the first person to link xenophobia to discussions on horticulture. In 2014, academic Ben Pitcher claimed that people who enjoy talking about gardening are closet racists who use the hobby as a covert way to promote white identity.

Claiming terms like “invasive” and “non-native” are used by plant enthusiasts to express their opposition to migrants, the senior lecturer in sociology at Westminster University alleged the BBC Radio 4 panel show Gardeners’ Question Time is “saturated with racial meanings”.

Appearing on another Radio 4 programme, Thinking Allowed, Pitcher received support for his assertion from crossbench peer and former cultural studies professor Lola Young, who likened gardeners’ concerns about rhododendrons to anti-Pakistani sentiment.

“I remember back in the late 80s-early 90s when rhododendrons were seen as this huge problem, and people were talking about going out rhododendron-bashing.

“That was at a time when P***-bashing was something that was all too prevalent on our streets,” she said.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare rhododendrons to Pakis, Lola.

It’s not the 1980s or 90s anymore. It’s 2018, and while rhododendrons haven’t given Brits too many problems, Pakis have transformed the entire island into a free-range Moslem rape pen.

But at least Lola has an excuse for her stupidity: she’s black as night.

What’s Fred Pearce’s excuse for his stupidity?

Oh yeah; Jews circumcised his brain.
