What do you need for a good 80s B-series slasher flick?

You need a psycho going around committing murders with a unique weapon. Jason had his machete, Leatherface had his chainsaw.

And very often, these psychos would start off killing randos in the beginning, such as whores and hobos, in order to build up suspense before the protagonist gets involved.

In fact, the hobo-killing scene is pretty much a classic by this point.

The 80s were a better, simpler time. No wonder even killers are looking back at that period with nostalgia.

The Daily Beast:

New York City police say four apparently homeless men were killed in Manhattan by an assailant wielding a three-foot long metal pipe thought to be from a construction site. The attacks were carried out while the victims were asleep.

A fifth person was hospitalized with critical injuries, according to the New York Times, quoting NYPD spokesman Lt. Thomas Antonetti.

Speaking at a press conference Saturday morning, Deputy Chief Inspector Michael Baldassano said a 24-year-old male “person of interest,” who is also homeless, is in custody. He said the attacks appeared to be “random” rather than motivated by race or age.

According to the normal plot line, they initially suspect some hobo of being the killer, but while he’s in custody, more murder victims emerge, and the investigation must be started from scratch.

The police have not yet released the names of the victims, or the suspect, who the New York Post reports had 14 past arrests, including an assault charge from earlier this year.

The attacker, who was wearing black pants and a black jacket, was apprehended with a metal pipe suspected to be the weapon used in the attacks.

Baldassano asked the public to call in if they had seen a man fitting this description in the days before the deadly attacks, or if anyone had witnessed similar attacks on homeless people in recent weeks.

The first deadly attack took place around 1:40 a.m. in Manhattan’s Chinatown after first responders were called to a scene with a victim with “severe trauma to the head.”

Police were then called to a scene on the Lower East Side for a victim with a similar head injury, and found two additional victims down the block and a third victim across the street.

It’s a rampage!

This onset of colorful 80s-style murder sprees is really getting my hopes up that America will become more retro in various other ways as well.

For one, I want a god damn Lamborghini Countach.

But seriously, I think the horror flicks of the 70s and 80s represented, in a way, the fears of the people towards an increasingly dystopian future, where the “masked psychos” were stand-ins for the increasingly violent and unpredictable Blacks and other minorities.

It’s just that now, the comically exaggerated fantasy violence of the past has become the daily reality of Americans today.

Presumably, at this rate, the comically exaggerated fantasy violence of today will become our reality in the near future as well.

This is exactly the kind of story that Russia needs.

The girl, identified by the media as Valeria, lived in the southern city of Sochi before running away to the Leningrad region where she allegedly committed the heinous crime.

It’s like a fever dream, a mash-up of several genres of media all combined to create the greatest chick-crack story of the 21st century.

You have your “Jack the Ripper” now. You can milk this thing for all its worth.

Black serial killers are not very rare.

You could go into in prison (or really inner city) in America and find dozens of Blacks who would fit that definition.

An Arizona man has been accused of a stunning murder spree in which he allegedly killed nine people in three weeks — a rampage that would make him one of the most prolific serial killers in the state’s history.

Cleophus Cooksey Jr., 35, was arrested on Dec. 17, 2017, after police responded to a call of shots fired in Phoenix. When officers arrived they found Cooksey’s mother and stepfather dead. Cooksey was not linked to the other homicides until he was in custody, police said Thursday.

The victims include:

– Two men, Andrew Remillard, 27, and Parker Smith, 21, who were discovered dead Nov. 27.

– One man, Salim Richards, 35, was found critically wounded on Dec. 2, and later died at the scene. It was not immediately clear if Richards knew the suspect. Police said there were signs of a robbery at the crime scene and a handgun appeared to have been taken.

– On Dec. 11, Jesus Bonifacio Real, 25, the brother of Cooksey’s former girlfriend, was killed.

– On Dec. 13, Latorrie Beckford, 29, was shot and killed.

– On Dec. 16, 2017, Kristopher Cameron, 21, was discovered shot to death in a field. Police said Cameron appeared to have met with the suspect for a drug interaction. On the same day, Maria Villanueva, 43, was found dead. Villanueva was allegedly kidnapped from her car after the suspect approached her vehicle. The two allegedly drove off before Villanueva was found dead with signs of sexual assault, police said.

– On Dec. 17, Rene Cooksey, 56, the suspect’s mother, and his stepfather, Edward Nunn, 54, were shot and killed. Cooksey was then arrested.

Cooksey has a long criminal history, AZ Central reported. The suspect was convicted of manslaughter when he was 18. While in prison, he was found guilty of assaulting prison employees, drug possession and fighting. He was released from prison in January 2015 and received a DUI in November of that year.

A notorious gang ‘general’ who poses a ‘serious threat to the public’ could be back on Britain’s streets within months because ministers have failed to have him deported.

Joland Giwa, whose street name is Dexter, led a campaign of terror on the streets of Croydon, South London, and is ready ‘at any time to use knives and weapons’, police say.

He was thought to be from Nigeria or Sierra Leone, but both countries refuse to accept he is one of theirs and linguists have now said he has a strong London accent, despite finding that he used English spoken in Nigeria.

In a gangster-style YouTube video, he is seen boasting about having stabbed a man ‘in the f****** head’ and threatening to attack other gangs who intrude on  his territory.

He has been held since 2009 when he finished a jail sentence, but immigration officials have failed to secure him a passport because of the two African countries’ refusal

Yesterday a judge ruled that immigration officials had three months to get him travel documents and if they failed Giwa should be released.

In court papers seen by the Daily Telegraph, it was found that he had ‘complicated’ speech patterns and ‘south London English’.

Critics said the ‘ridiculous’ case demonstrated Britain’s powerlessness to remove foreign criminals living here illegally. Tory MP Douglas Carswell said: ‘A thug on the streets of south London who is terrorising innocent Londoners and who is not even in the country legally should be removed.’

Giwa, 24, is the self-proclaimed ‘general’ in charge of the Don’t Say Nothing gang – known as DSN –  with a string of convictions for theft and robbery.

In 2007, the DSN gang was behind a surge in violence on the streets of Croydon which saw stabbings, shootings and murder, police say. Officers linked Giwa to at least 99 incidents of criminal or anti-social behaviour.

One former officer told Giwa’s immigration hearing he has a ‘clear propensity for violence’ and poses a ‘serious threat to the public’.

Darin Birmingham, a former police sergeant, said Giwa had no fear of ‘confrontation and violence’ and was ready at any time to use knives and other weapons.

But he would also maintain a façade of respectfulness towards police officers.

In a clip uploaded to YouTube, he is seen shouting a string of obscenities and threats at the camera, stating: ‘I am the f****** general.’

He adds: ‘I have shanked [stabbed] a man in the f****** head.’ The video prompted a spate of gang violence against rival groups Terror Zone from Mitcham and a Thornton Heath gang called Shine My Nine. Giwa landed at Heathrow aged 10 on a flight from Nigeria with his twin brother but no parent or guardian, in 1999.

He had no identity documents and claimed asylum on the spot, telling officials he was from Sierra Leone and his parents were killed in the civil war in that country.
