Australia’s parliament has passed a world-first law banning social media for children under 16, putting tech companies on notice to tighten security before a cut-off date that’s yet to be set.

The Senate approved the social media ban late on Thursday, the last sitting day of the year, following months of intense public debate and a rushed parliamentary process that saw the bill introduced, debated and passed within a week.

Under the new law, tech companies must take “reasonable steps” to prevent under-age users from accessing social media services or face fines of nearly 50 million Australian dollars ($32 million).

It’s the world’s toughest response yet to a problem that has seen other countries impose restrictions but not hold companies accountable for breaches of a nationwide ban. The ban is expected to apply to Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and X, but that list could expand.

Wtf is “X”?

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told legislators that “every serious government” was grappling with the impact of social media on young people, and the leaders he’d spoken to had applauded Australia’s initiative on the issue.

“We know that social media can be a weapon for bullies, a platform for peer pressure, a driver of anxiety, a vehicle for scammers. And worst of all, a tool for online predators,” he told Parliament on Monday.

A poll by YouGov conducted this month showed that 77% of Australians support the under-16 ban. The survey was conducted in the second half of this month and sought the views of 1,515 people with a margin of error of 3.2%.

Now the law has passed, consultation is expected to take place before the government sets a switch-off date. After that, all children under 16 with accounts on social media platforms subject to the ban will have them deactivated.

Parents and children won’t be penalized for flouting the ban, but companies will need to show that they’ve taken reasonable steps to keep under-age users off.

See? They’re not even punishing the people who violate the law, they’re just restricting the companies themselves.

It does not seem like a serious thing.

Toy giant Mattel says it “deeply” regrets an error on the packaging of its “Wicked” movie-themed dolls, which mistakenly links toy buyers to a pornographic website.

The error gained attention on social media over the weekend, where numerous users shared photos of the URL printed on the back of the boxes for the special edition dolls, which feature characters from the movie adaptation of “Wicked” set to hit theaters later this month. Instead of linking to Universal Pictures’ official WickedMovie.com page, the website listed leads to an adult film site that requires consumers to be over 18 to enter.

In a statement sent to The Associated Press, Mattel said it was “made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls,” which it said are primarily sold in the U.S. “We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this,” the company added.

It could be an accident, but the guy who runs Mattel is an Israeli Jew.

He could have just gotten paid for this.

There are no doubt Jews working at the porn company.

Certainly, the movie is not making any money on its own, so you might as well run porno ads in the marketing, right?

Boston’s woke mayor Michelle Wu has been ripped over a “tone-deaf” and “unserious” plan to give kids as young as 11 and undocumented migrants voting power when it comes to deciding how millions of dollars in public funds are doled out.

The city’s new participatory budgeting voting process, which will go into effect from July, gives ordinary Bostonians the ability to decide how a portion of the city’s budget will be spent, the Boston Herald reported.

City Councilor Ed Flynn, a Democrat, slammed the new process — specifically the involvement of children — during a committee hearing reviewing Wu’s fiscal year 2025 budget earlier this week.

He also aired his grievances in a letter to the Office of Participatory Budgeting’s director, Renato Castelo, in which he flagged his “unequivocal and vehement opposition” to the looming process.

“During this time of great fiscal uncertainty — with a study warning that remote work policies and the city’s declining commercial property values may cost us $500 million in revenue annually, as well as a subsequent proposal to also tax commercial property at a higher rate — now more than ever, it is critical that we show the taxpayers of Boston that we take our financial responsibilities seriously,” Flynn wrote.

“Allowing children to decide the usage of taxpayer dollars would do just the opposite, and be viewed as tone-deaf, unserious and wholly inappropriate by my constituents.”

It’s serious and saying it’s not serious is just obvious sexism.

A 10-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister stole their mom’s car and went on an early-morning joyride before they were caught more than 200 miles away from their Florida home, according to police.

The siblings’ adventure ended when deputies from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office spotted a white sedan driving on I-75 in Alachua — near Gainesville — and pulled the car over around 3:50 a.m.

Because the vehicle was stolen, deputies conducted a “high risk traffic stop.”

But they were shocked when they found the young boy in the driver’s seat and his older sister beside him.

Photos from the scene released by the sheriff’s office show both children surrendering.

I wish he could have gotten away.

Most energy drinks do not even have as much caffeine as coffee.

The problem is not the caffeine, it’s the sugar – which is the same as in any other soda, and actually often lower.

You should have to be 18 to buy sugary drinks. In fact, sugary drinks should have a label on them saying they lead to death. They’re a lot more dangerous than cigarettes, I can tell you that. It’s well established.

Caffeine is not even a problem. This is dumb.

Pediatricians and parents are calling for the U.S. to treat new high-caffeine energy drinks like alcohol and cigarettes and ban their sale to minors as a single serving can contain as much caffeine as six Coca-Colas.

Prime Energy, which launched this year, has 200 mg of caffeine within its 350 ml can — exceeding permissible caffeine levels in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Rival products like Anheuser Busch InBev-backed (ABI.BR) Ghost energy drinks and Kim Kardashian’s “Kimade” energy drink also have 200 mg of caffeine. Competitor Monster Energy (MNST.O) contains 150 mg of caffeine.

I’ve never heard of Prime, but Monster and Bang as ones that have an extra amount of caffeine, and it’s still only slightly more than normal coffee. Actually, I don’t know about Bang. I drank one of those at like, 1 PM, and couldn’t sleep literally the entire night. But I think that has some kind of other shit in it.

As caffeine content in energy drinks has climbed over the years, some countries and retailers have banned the products while a few require proof of age for purchase. In the U.S. and UK, no national regulations ban the sale of high-caffeine energy drinks.

Without legal age mandates like those on alcohol and cigarettes, retailers are unlikely to restrict access, said Dr. Holly Benjamin, a professor of pediatrics and orthopedic surgery at the University of Chicago. There is no proven safe dose of caffeine for children, according to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

That seems unlikely.

These are the same people who tell you there are “proven safe doses” of plastic, PFAS, and lead.

But hey – who knows? No one knows anything anymore. I don’t know.

I guess maybe kids never drank coffee because they don’t like the taste, and now these energy drinks taste good, so they’re drinking more of it.

But remember: these same people give amphetamine to kids. If you get generic adderol, the bottle literally just says “amphetamine.” It’s the only ingredient.

So… it’s hard to take anything they say seriously.

I also don’t know what age “kids” we’re talking about. If we’re talking about 5-year-olds (which they give amphetamine to, btw), then I’d probably agree they shouldn’t be consuming large amounts of caffeine. However, if it’s high schoolers – who are, I assume, the main under-18s drinking these, and definitely the ones that would be in a store buying things without their parents there – then this is just totally nuts.

“Retailers could choose to place sports drinks and energy drinks in different locations and label the sections differently; but, I think that is unlikely to happen without regulation which starts with better product labeling and widespread education,” Dr. Benjamin said.

She added: “Any energy drink with a high dose caffeine in it, such as Prime Energy, is unsafe for children.”

Side effects for kids consuming caffeine could include rapid or irregular heartbeats, headaches, seizures, shaking, stomach upset and adverse emotional effects on mental health, she said.

Caffeine is safe and effective. Like nicotine, it makes you smarter and makes you work harder.

It’s actually not as good as nicotine, as it does not boost your testosterone like nicotine does.

Actually, recent studies have claimed that it might reduce your testosterone.

I don’t know that I believe that, but even if it’s true – how are we going to live without caffeine? How will we work? How will we have the energy to talk to people?

We would obviously have to start doing hard drugs – and all hard drugs we know for a fact lower your testosterone.

Anyway – we can talk about caffeine after the government has banned high sugar poison drinks, over-processed food, soy, artificial flavoring, putting plastic in food, and starts setting regulations on PFAS, requiring constant testing.

I make a lot of jokes about how liberals think we’re living in a utopia, because blacks are allowed to commit crimes freely, men can be put in prison if a woman feels bad after having sex with him, tens of millions of people were bullied into taking a gene therapy injection they did not want, immigrants are pouring into white countries by the tens of millions, and the schools can secretly manipulate your elementary school children into thinking they’re trannies.

Masculinity has been completely crushed.

They believe, genuinely, that mankind is on the way to perfection.

If you ask these people what the problems in the world are, they will list off:

  • The Holocaust
  • Slavery
  • Donald Trump
  • Russian people
  • White people in general (but specifically white heterosexual males)
  • Men in general
  • Coronavirus
  • Chinese people
  • “Global warming”
  • Christianity
  • Niger people

And yet, not one of those things can be named to have caused an actual problem for the lives of anyone complaining about it. Donald Trump didn’t commit a genocide while president, Russians have only caused a problem for Ukrainians, global warming is just a bizarre spook, a kind of witchcraft.

Everyone’s personal lives are falling apart. I don’t know liberals, but I was on Twitter for a couple months, and I looked at what these people were saying. They are just as miserable as everyone in my personal life, everyone I talk to.

People were not miserable like they are now before this revolutionary movement that began in the Obama Years really got rolling. Everyone’s lives are just getting worse and worse, even as we push further and further into this utopian order that the Jews are creating in the Western world. Everyone is totally alienated, everyone is on drugs, people live in a constant state of fear of violent crime, there are homeless camps in the centers of virtually every metro area, everyone is fat, everyone is angry all the time, people are divorcing or not getting married at all (a lot of people are not even having sex).

And the suicide rate is skyrocketing, including among children.

I know people are sheep. I know how the media and the university system affects people brains. But it’s remains incredible that anyone can look at what is happening, and say “we need to keep doing more of the same – and way harder.”

The mental health crisis affecting America’s children and teenagers is overwhelming hospital emergency rooms, say doctors.

Parents are bringing in children as young as 5 or 6 years old with psychiatric emergencies like anxiety, depression and suicide attempts — but they’re finding ERs are often unable to help.

“This crisis is only getting worse,” Dr. Willough Jenkins, psychiatrist and medical director at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California, told NBC News. “It’s not getting better.”

Jenkins noted that the number of kids seeking psychiatric emergency care at her hospital has spiked from about 30 a month in the past to 30 per day in recent months.

Children as young as six years old arrive in the ER talking about committing suicide.

In response, three of the nation’s biggest medical care organizations — American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) — are now pleading for government officials to increase mental health services access.

ER visits at children’s hospitals caused by mental health problems jumped 120% between 2007 and 2016, the AAP/ACEP/ENA report said. Meanwhile, the rate among general hospitals rose by 55% during the same period.

And these data don’t include the mental-health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kids that are six now were toddlers during the coronavirus mania, where they were treated like prisoners and constantly told they were going to die from an invisible evil force that was everywhere.

It’s not surprising.

And I guess it’s not surprising that these people pushing this stuff keep doubling down.

But it is amazing.

China is proposing new measures to curb the amount of time that kids and teens can spend on their phones, as the country takes aim at internet addiction and tries to cultivate “good morality” and “socialist values” among minors.

A proposal released by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the country’s top internet regulator, on Wednesday would require all mobile devices, apps and app stores to have a built in “minor mode” that would restrict daily screen time to a maximum of two hours a day, depending on the age group.

The restrictions, if approved, would mark an expansion of existing measures rolled out in recent years as Beijing aims to limit screen time among kids and reduce their exposure to “undesirable information.”

Under the draft rules, which are open for public discussion until September 2, children and teens using devices on minor mode would automatically see online applications close when respective time limits are up. They would also be offered “age-based content.”

No one under 18 would be able to access their screens between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. while using the mode.

Children under eight would be able to use their phones for only 40 minutes a day, while those between eight and 16 would get an hour of screen time. Teenagers over 16 and under 18 would be allowed two hours.

All age groups would receive a reminder to rest after using their device for more than 30 minutes.

Mobile internet service providers should also actively create content that “disseminates core socialist values” and “forges a sense of community of the Chinese nation,” the draft says.

Parents would be able to override time restrictions, and certain educational and emergency services would not be subject to the time limits.

“Internet addition” has emerged as a major social concern in recent years, giving rise to an often scientifically dubious and at times dangerous industry of boot-camp style treatment centers.

Parents interviewed by CNN voiced tentative support for the proposal.

When New York’s first licensed recreational marijuana outlet opened last month, the chief of the state’s Office of Cannabis Management, Chris Alexander, proudly hoisted a tin of watermelon-flavored gummies above the crowd.

Outside the Manhattan shop, he displayed another purchase — a jar containing dried flowers of a cannabis strain called Banana Runtz, which some aficionados say has overtones of “fresh, fruity banana and sour candy.”

Inside the store run by the nonprofit Housing Works, shelves brimmed with vape cartridges suggesting flavors of pineapple, grapefruit and “cereal milk,” written in rainbow bubble letter print.

For decades, health advocates have chided the tobacco industry for marketing harmful nicotine products to children, resulting in more cities and states, like New York, outlawing flavored tobacco products, including e-cigarettes.

Now as cannabis shops proliferate across the country, the same concerns are growing over the packaging and marketing of flavored cannabis that critics say could entice children to partake of products labeled “mad mango,” “loud lemon” and “peach dream.”

“When you’re talking about strawberry-cheesecake, or mango, or cookies-and-cream flavors, it’s very difficult to argue that those are for older adults,” said Dr. Pamela Ling, the director for the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education at the University of California in San Francisco.

We are already in a situation where nicotine is more demonized than marijuana.

Why is that, I wonder? Smoking cigarettes or vaping is a personal choice that really doesn’t affect anyone else. Smoking weed turns the whole population into zombies.

There is still no discussion of legalizing cocaine, by the way, despite the fact that it is safer and healthier than weed.

A 6-year-old student shot and wounded a teacher at his school in Virginia during an altercation inside a first-grade classroom Friday, police and school officials in the city of Newport News said.

Experts said a school shooting involving a 6-year-old is extremely rare, although not unheard of, while Virginia law limits the ways in which a child that age can be punished for such a crime.

No students were injured in the shooting at Richneck Elementary School, police said. The teacher — a woman in her 30s — suffered life-threatening injuries. Her condition had improved somewhat by late afternoon, Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew said.

You just know this was the most unbearable cunt imaginable.

“We did not have a situation where someone was going around the school shooting,” Drew told reporters, later adding that the gunshot was not an accident.

Drew said the student and teacher had known in each other in a classroom setting.

He said the boy had a handgun in the classroom, and investigators were trying to figure out where he obtained it. The police chief did not provide further details about the shooting, the altercation or what happened inside the school.

This should be a total wakeup call to the country on the threat of CUNTS to boys.

However, it’s obvious that they’re just going to blame guns.

Then right-wingers will just blame black people.

I don’t know if the shooter was black, but let’s be real, he probably was.

Habitually checking social media as a young teenager is linked to hypersensitivity to peer feedback and may potentially lead to permanent changes in the brain’s reward and motivation centers, neuroscientists at the University of North Carolina suggested in a study published on Tuesday in JAMA Pediatrics.

The study looked at a group of 169 teens as their brains developed between the ages of 12 to 15 and their self-reported use of Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

When those with usage the researchers classed as “habitual” – meaning they checked their accounts 15 or more times a day – played a game that modeled feedback in the form of peer approval, they became increasingly sensitive to that feedback. Brain scans showed increased activity in areas associated with reward processing, concentration, regulation and control, and the researchers observed that these appeared to contribute to positive feedback loops, further increasing their sensitivity to peer approval.

Those teens who reported checking their social media once at most per day showed a corresponding decrease in activity in these areas, suggesting they were less concerned with feedback from peers or may have more self-control over compulsive behaviors.

It’s fine if these multinational corporations have total control over everyone’s emotions and therefore their behavior, because the Jews running these companies are extremely moral.
