Ben-Gvir resigned from Netanyahu’s cabinet over the ceasefire, but Donald Trump has brought him back into the fold with his stated plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza and make it a US territory.

Smotrich was also threatening to leave, and he’s now all in.

All of the Israelis appear very hyped about this scheme, which still doesn’t really make sense to the average observer (myself included).

People hate it when I say it, but Ben-Gvir is funny. His lunacy doesn’t change that fact.

I always hated that people against Trump would try to claim he’s not funny. It’s a totally insane claim. Trump is one of the single funniest people ever.

Furthermore, if these female and woke comedians were funny, I would acknowledge it. Tina Fey was funny. I’ve no problem admitting that. It’s just that every other female comedian I’ve ever seen is not funny, and none of the leftists are funny, other than Jon Stewart, who is primarily funny because he’s willing to be a bit edgy.

Jon Oliver clearly has some decent writers, but he is so insufferable that it doesn’t make an impact. He has anti-charisma, and is able to make jokes that are funny on paper unfunny when he reads them.

Israel’s far-right national security minister resigned from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Cabinet on Sunday to express his disapproval of the Gaza ceasefire deal.

The resignation of Itamar Ben-Gvir does not threaten the ceasefire, but it does weaken Netanyahu’s governing coalition. If other far-right lawmakers leave the government — as Ben-Gvir has encouraged them to do — the prime minister could lose his parliamentary majority, potentially forcing early elections.

It was the latest act of defiance by the 48-year-old ultranationalist settler leader who transformed himself over the decades from an outlaw and provocateur into one of Israel’s most influential politicians.

The ceasefire will pause the war and free dozens of hostages held by militants in Gaza. Ben-Gvir opposed the deal because it requires Israel to free hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and to withdraw troops from Gaza’s southern border with Egypt — and because it leaves open the possibility of Hamas staying in power in Gaza.

Ahead of the resignation, he said the ceasefire was “reckless” and would “destroy all of Israel’s achievements.”

In his Cabinet post, Ben-Gvir oversaw the country’s police force. He used his influence to encourage Netanyahu to press ahead with the war in Gaza and recently boasted that he had blocked past efforts to reach a ceasefire.

This is the “rock and a hard spot” situation I’ve been describing since the war started. There is no possible way Netanyahu can lose the war – which is what this ceasefire means, do not get it twisted, this is a surrender by the Jews – and remain in office.

The one exception would be if he can do something else very extreme, such as totally annex the West Bank. But he would have to announce that like, in the next week or something. Maybe not that quick but very quick.

If Trump ends up actually throwing Bibi under the bus, it will be totally glorious, and I will completely retract everything I said on that issue. Mind you, I don’t think that is going to happen. I think the ceasefire will collapse. Bibi has the ability to collapse the ceasefire, and if he doesn’t collapse the ceasefire, he’s going to prison. So there is simply no reason he wouldn’t do that. For Trump to prevent that, he would need blackmail material that is extreme. Something really sick and criminal.

It’s possible Ben-Gvir is doing this as a kind of show, but even if that wasn’t the case, Bibi knew he would resign. The man is an absolute lunatic, who is constantly calling for genocide in public.

If Israel does this ceasefire, the entire “war” was for nothing, Hamas will remain in power and they will be the heroes of the people. It is the nightmare scenario for the Israeli right-wing, because their entire situation will be so much worse than before.

Jewish settlers, including ministers in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, gathered on the border of Gaza on Monday, where they called for settlements Israel evacuated two decades ago to be re-established in the war-torn Palestinian enclave.

Israel withdrew its military and settlers from Gaza in 2005 after a 38-year occupation, and Netanyahu has said it does not intend to maintain a permanent presence again.

But as Israel’s war on the enclave’s Hamas rulers has entered a second year, Netanyahu has yet to provide clarity on who he sees governing Gaza after the war. Some of his government allies, however, have been explicit about their own endgame.

“If we want it, we can renew settlements in Gaza,” National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir told the hundreds who gathered for a two-day outdoor conference titled ‘preparing to resettle Gaza,’ held about 3 km (2 miles) from the enclave.

Smoke could be seen rising in Gaza and the loud bangs of artillery sounded in the distance.

Ben-Gvir also called for Israel to “encourage emigration” of Palestinians from Gaza. “It’s the best and most moral solution, not by force but by telling them: ‘We’re giving you the option, leave to other countries, the Land of Israel is ours’,” he said.

These Jews have said they want to send them all to Ireland and America.

Yet the same stupid Fatmericans who go around blessing the sickening Christ-killers will also complain about Islamic immigration.

The conference was organised by members of Netanyahu’s Likud party and the Nahala organisation, a group of ideological settlers in the occupied West Bank, who see themselves as pioneers redeeming Biblical heartland promised by God.

And they don’t plan to stop at Gaza

These Jew people – “people” – are really going for broke.

An Israeli crowd led by hard-right politician Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed Jerusalem’s most holy site today in a pilgrimage seen by Muslims as provocative.

His visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque launches a fresh challenge to rules covering one of the most sensitive sites in the Middle East – with tensions over the compound fuelling violence before.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the visit – which took place on a Jewish holiday- as a ‘provocative intrusion’ that endangered the fragile status quo regarding the Jerusalem compound.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quickly denied there would be any change to rules that prohibit Jews from praying at the site, which is holy to both Muslims and Jews, and rebuked Ben-Gvir, the national security minister.

‘There is no private policy of any minister on the Temple Mount – neither the Minister of National Security nor any other minister,’ Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.

Ben-Gvir, Israel’s National Security Minister, visited the site as Jews marked Tisha B’Av, a day of mourning commemorating the destruction of the biblical Temples.

It marks a day when a number of disasters in Jewish history occurred, primarily the destruction of Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem in the Neo-Babylonian Empire in 587 BCE.

The Al-Aqsa compound is revered by Jews as a vestige of their two ancient temples and is administered by a Jordanian religious foundation.

But under rules dating back decades, although Jews are allowed to visit, they may not pray there.

‘Our policy is to allow prayer,’ Ben-Gvir said as he passed a line of Jewish visitors at the site earlier today.

In video released by his office, Ben-Gvir was also seen strolling through the compound singing, ‘The people of Israel live!’ while accompanied by dozens of supporters.

One supporter yelled a Jewish prayer, which is not permitted under the longstanding arrangement in place at the site meant to ease regional tensions.

Ben-Gvir has said he is changing the policy and, despite previous assurances to the contrary by Netanyahu, he repeated this stance today.

The security minister added that ‘very large progress’ had been made to allow Jewish prayer at the site.

The Waqf, the foundation that administers the site, said some 2,250 Jews entered the site on Tuesday.

The spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced Ben-Gvir’s visit as a ‘provocation’ and called on the United States to intervene ‘if it wants to prevent the region from exploding in an uncontrollable manner’.

It sure as hell looks like the US is going to be dragged into a war with Iran.

Israel has conducted a systematic policy of prisoner abuse and torture since the start of the war in Gaza, subjecting Palestinian detainees to acts ranging from arbitrary violence to sexual abuse, a report from Israeli rights group B’Tselem said on Monday.

The group said the report was based on interviews with 55 Palestinians from Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, who were detained in Israeli prisons since the Oct. 7 attack on Israel that set off the war, most of them without being tried.

“The testimonies clearly indicate a systematic, institutional policy focused on the continual abuse and torture of all Palestinian prisoners held by Israel,” the report said.

The report was issued days after the Israeli military detained nine soldiers accused of severe abuse of a prisoner in a military facility in the Negev desert. According to Israeli press reports, the soldiers are accused of sexually abusing a member of an elite Hamas unit.

B’Tselem is a group made up of actual Jews, not Palestinians

A spokesperson for the Israel Prison Service said that all prisoners were treated according to the law and all basic rights were fully applied by professionally trained guards.

“We are not aware of the claims you described and as far as we know, no such events have occurred under IPS responsibility,” the spokesperson said, adding that detainees had the right to file complaints that would be fully examined and investigated.

B’Tselem detailed allegations that Palestinian prisoners were subjected to arbitrary beatings, degrading and humiliating treatment and sleep deprivation, as well as “the repeated use of sexual violence, in varying degrees of severity”.

“The overall picture indicates abuse and torture carried out under orders, in utter defiance of Israel’s obligations both under domestic law and international law,” the report said.

Allegations of prisoner abuse have surfaced repeatedly during the war in Gaza, adding to mounting international pressure on Israel over its conduct of the 10 month-old war.

The report from B’Tselem, a group that documents human rights violations by Israel in the occupied West Bank and other areas, said the treatment accorded to prisoners was a deliberate policy implemented under the direction of the hardline National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

If there’s anything interesting here, it’s that these Israeli NGOs that are pushing against Bibi, including calling out torture, are funded from the United States as part of a larger attempt to dislodge the King of the Jews from his position in order to prevent him from dragging America into a massive regional war.

It’s a funny situation, because the US government can’t just tell the Jews to stop doing this. They have to do all of this weird underhanded stuff to try to trick people into being against Israel.

These are the same people who are constantly fretting about the “far right” saying mean words in Europe

Basically, some of these Jews went too far with the torture – shoving things up men’s asses and so on – and it got filmed and was released by whistleblowers so the Jews were like “okay, we’ll investigate this.”

This was months ago. No one has been punished so far.

But the Jewish population is saying that no torture is too far and that the optics do not matter. So they’re rushing the base in defense of these torture tactics.

Israeli far-right protesters have broken into an army base in a show of support for soldiers accused of severely mistreating a Palestinian prisoner there.

Large crowds gathered outside the Sde Teiman compound after Israeli military police entered it to detain the reservists, who are now subject to an official investigation.

Sde Teiman near Beersheba in southern Israel has for months been at the centre of reports of serious abuses against Gazan detainees.

On Monday dozens of protesters, including far-right MPs from Israel’s governing coalition, burst through the base’s gate as others tried to scale the fence, chanting “we will not abandon our friends, certainly not for terrorists”.

Some soldiers at the base reportedly used pepper spray against the military police personnel who arrived to detain the reservists.

Demonstrators also entered the Beit Lid military base in central Israel where the accused reservists have been taken for questioning.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement strongly condemning the break-in and calling for “an immediate calming of passions”.

According to local media reports, at least nine Israeli soldiers at the base are accused of abusing the Palestinian detainee, a suspected Hamas fighter who was captured in Gaza.

He is said to have been hospitalised after what Israeli media reports describe as serious sexual abuse and injuries to his anus that left him unable to walk.

Yikes.

The Israeli military said its advocate general had ordered an inquiry “following suspected substantial abuse of a detainee”.

Since the 7 October Hamas attack, Israeli authorities have rounded up and held thousands of Palestinians, often without legal representation.

The BBC has previously spoken to medical workers at a field hospital set up in Sde Teiman, who alleged that detainees have been blindfolded, permanently shackled to their beds, and made to wear nappies rather than having access to a toilet.

Last month, Israel’s Haaretz newspaper published allegations made by a doctor at Sde Teiman that leg amputations had been carried out on two prisoners, because of cuffing injuries. The BBC has not independently verified the claims.

This torture base is a bit of a red herring.

There are torture bases everywhere, and the Jews are mass slaughtering children.

The protesters are actually right in saying “we do this everywhere, what difference does it make???”

But the Jews have become aware that they have very bad optics internationally, and so they’re acting like they have some kind of rules about torture.
