I don’t understand why he wasn’t allowed to hang out with his friends.

Reuters:

Anders Behring Breivik, the far-right fanatic who killed 77 people in a bombing and shooting rampage in Norway in 2011, will testify in court on Tuesday as he presses on with a lawsuit to end his years of isolation in prison.

The 44-year-old, who emailed out copies of a manifesto before his attacks setting out his theories, is also suing the state in a bid to lift restrictions on his correspondence with the outside world.

Breivik killed eight people with a car bomb in Oslo and gunned down 69 others, most of them teenagers, on Utoeya island. He has been held in isolation ever since.

He is scheduled to start testifying at 2 p.m. local time(1300 GMT).

“I want to hear him directly, not via the media,” said Freddy Lie, the father of two daughters who were at Utoeya in 2011 – one was shot dead, the other was wounded but survived.

Lie was present at the first day of the legal proceedings on Monday and told Reuters he was planning to attend on Tuesday.

Breivik in court with one of his lawyers

Some journalists had asked Judge Birgitte Kolrud to let them broadcast Breivik’s testimony. But she ruled against that last week saying there was a risk his statement could become a platform for his views rather than testimony about his jail conditions.

Well, he’s allowed to have views.

He’s about to have a very public platform soon, because they’re going to let him out of prison.

Breivik’s lawyers argue Norway is breaching the European Convention on Human Rights, including sections saying no one should be subject to “torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment”.

His isolation for more than a decade has left him in a “locked world” with only guards and other prison professionals whose duty is to maintain their distance, his lawyer Oeystein Storrvik told the court on Monday.

Lawyers for the Justice Ministry say the curbs are necessary as Breivik remains a threat and could inspire others to commit violence.

He was only jailed foe 21 years. They denied him parole, but they can’t keep him past 2032, which is apparently not very far away.

Elon Musk will definitely ban him from Twitter.

WHO Says Coronavirus Will Never Go Away, People Have to Learn to Live La Vida Lockdown https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/05/15/who-says-coronavirus-will-never-go-away-people-have-to-learn-to-live-la-vida-lockdown/ Fri, 15 May 2020 00:00:00 +0000

Pictured: coronavirus-infected people under lockdown.

The WHO, the single biggest hive of “experts” that’s been orchestrating the coronavirus response all over the Western world, is now pushing the idea that people have to adapt to this new house arrest way of living because coronavirus will never go away.

Daily Mail:

The WHO has warned coronavirus ‘may never go away’ and that mankind will have to learn to live with the disease in the same way it adjusted to HIV.

Dr Mike Ryan, director of the WHO’s Health Emergencies programme, was asked yesterday how long it might take before we emerge on the other side of COVID-19.

‘I think it’s important to to put this on the table: this virus may become just another endemic virus in our communities and this virus may never go away.’ Dr Ryan told the Geneva press conference.

‘HIV has not gone away, we’ve come to terms with the virus and we have found the therapies and we found the prevention methods and people don’t feel as scared as they did before and we’re offering life to people with HIV, long healthy lives to people with HIV.’

The Galway-trained medic added that he was not comparing the diseases in any other sense but that it was to illustrate that nobody ‘can predict when or if this disease will disappear.’

Dr Ryan was expanding on the point, particularly with regard to health experts and politicians who have continually given estimates of 12 months before a vaccine.

‘We have a new virus entering the human population,’ he said. ‘therefore it is very hard to predict when we will prevail over it.’

…

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus urged people to continue in the fight to stop the spread of the disease.

‘The trajectory is in our hands, and it’s everybody’s business, and we should all contribute to stop this pandemic,’ he said.

WHO epidemiologist Maria van Kerkhove added: ‘We need to get into the mindset that it is going to take some time to come out of this pandemic.’

By comparing it to HIV, they’re promoting the idea that the Netflix house arrest lockdown lifestyle is just like putting on a condom.

Staying inside your own chalk square is just like putting on a condom, too.

Social distancing is one big chalk square — and by that, I mean that social distancing is one big condom.

You need to socially distance yourself from other people to avoid catching the Doom Virus, just like you need to socially distance your penis from women in order to avoid catching gay-related immune deficiency HIV.

Get used to living isolated.

It will make it easier for them to eventually present a coronavirus vaccine as a way out of this nightmare.

Coronavirus Cabin Fever Can be Dangerous, Psychologist Warns https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/03/27/coronavirus-cabin-fever-can-be-dangerous-psychologist-warns/ Fri, 27 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Pomidor Quixote and Andrew Anglin

You hate to see it. You really do.

Isolation is unhealthy enough for mental health professionals to start voicing their concerns.

Did governments even consider the negative aspects of isolation before forcing everyone into this sick social experiment?

CBS Local:

Mental health professionals say the social distancing and isolation designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus poses a serious threat to people for whom social contact is a key element of support and treatment.

But there are things you can do to maintain your overall mental health, says Kita S. Curry, PhD, President and CEO of Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services.

Curry spoke with CBS Local on Wednesday:

CBS Local: What could the consequences of loneliness be during this time?

Kita S. Curry: Research indicates that isolation can negatively impact the health of your mind and your body. But, the reverse—feeling connected is not based on how many friends and family you have in your life. It’s based on whether you feel others truly care for you and are there for you.

Those who live alone have a special challenge right now, though, because people who normally might be in touch, in person or via technology, may be caught up in all the new challenges of daily life. On the other hand, if people in a household are all holed up in separate rooms watching TV, playing video games, etc., they also may be feeling isolated, especially if they are young children or are adults without emotionally fulfilling phone or social media contacts.

The risks of loneliness are compounded by the fact that we are all threatened by a deadly virus that we have no control over except through hygiene and social distancing, and we don’t see an end in sight. Helplessness and hopelessness are correlated with a high risk for depression and other mental health conditions, possibly even suicide.

People are already starting to kill themselves because of this bizarre T-Virus style lockdown.

CBS: What are the harms from prolonged cabin fever?

KC: If we don’t create a healthy new normal within the confines of our homes, we face a variety of risks, even in homes where domestic violence and child abuse are not an issue. Some of us are likely to engage in bad habits whether alone or with others, such as excessive alcohol use, overeating, etc. Others will be addicted to the news, which only increases anxiety. That preoccupation also means we aren’t engaging in positive behaviors and routines. And, of course, when we are stressed and feel trapped, conflict is likely to increase.

You can lessen cabin fever by creating a new universe within your home. If you live with others, talk together about how you will do this, but the same principles apply if you are living alone. Establish routines; get up and go to bed at regular times; make the bed; get dressed like you were going out; eat regular meals; identify projects you can do such as gardening, sewing, exercising or Marie “Kondo-ing” your books, clothes, etc.

…

CBS: How does cabin fever differ for children versus adults?

KC: Children are anxious when they miss school and their friends. They pick up on their parents’/caregivers’ agitation without necessarily understanding it and may fill in the blanks with even worse interpretations. Caregivers need to calmly explain what is going on and reassure them that these changes will help everyone stay healthy. Kids will do better if everything we can control stays as normal possible, which includes predictable bedtimes and meals but also opportunities to be rambunctious and to play. These responsibilities can be seen as burdens or opportunities.

This coronavirus mass hysteria is likely to leave a scar on people’s psyches, and if you consider that children are still in development and that their brains are more vulnerable to trauma, then the picture gets darker.

Following daily routines can only take you so far.

We need human contact.

But we can’t even chat with our neighbors about this stupid virus itself because of this Twilight Zone level hysteria foisted upon us by the media.

Even if you don’t consider the hysteria over this virus a form of mass psychosis (it obviously is; see toilet paper hoarding), you’re going to see a lot more serious mass psychosis when people start to snap in isolation.

We’ve never done an experiment like this before and the idea that the outcome could be anything other than catastrophic is laughable.

Harvard Researchers Say Many Social Distancing Periods May be Required Into 2022 https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/03/27/harvard-researchers-say-many-social-distancing-periods-may-be-required-into-2022/ Fri, 27 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Pomidor Quixote

You merely adopted the social isolation. I was born in it. Molded by it.

It appears that people will spend most of 2020 in isolation.

They’d better start paying people to stay locked inside.

ZDNet:

It’s unlikely one single, long stretch of “social distancing” is going to solve COVID-19 for the US before a vaccine arrives, say Harvard researchers. Instead, it may be necessary to keep having periodic intervals of quarantine until the US healthcare system is fortified.

For those wondering how long they’ll have to be in quarantine because of the COVID-19 respiratory disease, the question for those in the US may not be how long, but how many times.

Work posted on the medRxive pre-print server Tuesday by a group of researchers at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston suggests that multiple targeted periods of “social distancing” of various kinds will likely be necessary for the US before any vaccine is found for the disease.

“Oh, we know you’re all tired of these social isolation periods, which is why we worked hard to be able to offer you this mysterious liquid that, if injected into your body, will allow all of you to return to normal life.”

There’s a tension in fighting COVID-19: So-called herd immunity needs to be built up, which requires that the disease be allowed to spread to some extent, for without exposure, that immunity will never be built. But the disease must not spread so much that it overwhelms the US’s medical resources.

In “Social distancing strategies for curbing the COVID-19 epidemic,” authors Stephen Iissler, Christine Tedijanto, Marc Lipsitch, and Yonatan Grad of the Chan School write that “a single period of social distancing will not be sufficient.”

Paradoxically, going into an intense quarantine with nothing to follow it can actually be counter-productive.

Without repeated intervals of distancing, “there was a resurgence of infection when the simulated social distancing measures were lifted” in the model scenarios they ran.

The authors found that a resurgence could happen even after especially arduous periods of distancing, such as a 20-week period of social distancing. “The social distancing is so effective that virtually no population immunity is built.”

The Netherlands and Sweden are betting on building population immunity in a controlled manner, which is a much saner approach than “everyone needs to panic right now and remained locked in their homes for who knows how long.”

Suspiciously enough, the full lockdown approach makes a vaccine look much more necessary.

Instead, the authors argue interventions need to be made multiple times over a period of time, called “intermittent distancing,” at intervals that depend upon the state of the health care infrastructure at any moment in time, meaning, how much load it can absorb of critical care cases of the disease.

“Intermittent social distancing can maintain critical care demand within current thresholds,” they advise.

…

US President Donald Trump has referenced a theory that  COVID-19 will abate in April, but it’s not certain that COVID-19 will follow a seasonal pattern, as Science Magazine’s Jon Cohen pointed out last week. “No one knows whether SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, will change its behavior come spring,” he writes.

The issue, then, becomes one of closely monitoring infection rates in the population. For that, the Harvard authors note, blood tests are necessary to tell who in the population has developed antibodies for the disease. That would provide a broader indicator of who is sick, including the people who are “asymptomatic.” It would also be a way to measure how many people in the society have already been through an infection and recovered, thereby reducing the susceptible population. Numerous efforts are ongoing to design the antibody tests, which are different from the main genetic tests used to tell if people have COVID-19.

“Widespread surveillance will be required to time the distancing measures correctly and avoid overshooting critical care capacity,” the authors observe.

What if you don’t want to give them some of your blood and your whereabouts?

What if you don’t want to be surveilled?

They note, too, that the lower the amount of medical infrastructure, the longer it takes to build immunity. If immunity is a function of letting the virus run wild, then immunity is interrupted every time cases go over a threshold and lead to more quarantine.

Building up medical infrastructure could solve that, they argue.

“Increasing critical care capacity allows population immunity to be accumulated more rapidly, reducing the overall duration of the epidemic and the total length of social distancing measures.”

Unless capacity is built up, social distancing could likely be required into 2022, the authors write.

Hence, the most intriguing lesson of the paper may be that US society has a choice: build up the healthcare system and get back to normal, or else spend a long time going in and out of quarantine.

How about we just let all boomers and obese people die instead and carry on with our lives?

Boomers already lived their lives and pretty much ruined everything for future generations, and the obese inflicted obesity and all of its related diseases onto themselves.

It’s not fair that healthy people have to suffer in order to save the lives of those beings.

Emily Owen

Stories like this one may become increasingly common as the coronavirus lockdown measures remain in place.

The cure is worse than the disease.

Daily Mail:

A ‘beautiful’ teenager who feared being isolated with coronavirus has died after attempting to take her life, her family have confirmed.

‘Funny and charming’ Emily Owen, who had high-functioning autism and ‘a daily battle to fit in and conform to social norms’, passed away after a suicide attempt.

The 19-year-old’s family said the young waitress had been unable to cope ‘with her world closing in, plans being cancelled and being stuck inside’.

Her devastated family have demanded more awareness and support for people struggling with mental health issues during the pandemic.

Emily, from Kings Lynn, Norfolk, had warned loved ones days before the tragedy: ‘More people will die from suicide during this than the virus itself‘.

Her family said the teenager was concerned about coronavirus and the ‘mental health impacts of isolation’.

Emily, who had been planning on volunteering to help others struggling to cope, died in hospital on Sunday after being found critically ill on Wednesday, March 18.

Her family suspect the ‘fear of the unknown may have driven her over the edge’.

Her sister Annabel Owen, 21, said in a tribute posted online: ‘Emily was very concerned about coronavirus itself but more concerned about the mental health impact of isolation and the fear of the unknown.’

Emily, who was described by her family as ‘talented and a little bit crazy’, signed up to be an organ donor aged 12. Three children will benefit from her gift of life.

Annabel added in the Facebook tribute: ‘We are all absolutely devastated but also immensely proud of everything she achieved in her life.

‘So many people have messaged us saying how Emily helped them through hard times of their own, and we had no idea how much positive impact she had on those around her.

Governments should make nationwide polls asking if people would rather be exposed to the coronavirus or remain socially isolated for months.

Or perhaps it would be better to just create coronavirus quarantine isolation camps and throw all of the people who agree with the lockdown, the old, and the obese in them, while allowing the rest to continue living their lives.

That would be a win-win for everyone.

Right now, we’ve basically made a suicide pact.

It’s disgusting and boomers and doomers should be ashamed.

Man Jumps to His Death from 16th Floor, Neighbors Worry Coronavirus Isolation Could be to Blame https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/03/24/man-jumps-to-his-death-from-16th-floor-neighbors-worry-coronavirus-isolation-could-be-to-blame/ Tue, 24 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Pomidor Quixote

It would be interesting to see data on suicides during the isolation and quarantine periods of this coronavirus pandemic.

Daily Mail:

A man has been killed after jumping from a luxury Manhattan apartment block.

The 64-year-old who has yet to have been identified jumped from the 16th-floor of the Tribeca Park building on Chambers Street at around 11pm on Friday.

The man died instantly after landing in the building’s courtyard, authorities said.

Some neighbors have said the apparent suicide could have been related to the state’s regulations regarding coronavirus, self-isolation and the current pandemic.

‘I came out to smoke a cigarette, and they told me someone jumped,’ one resident told the New York Post.

She added: ‘You have to be mentally strong to take on isolation. The uncertainty of what’s going to happen is scary.’

Police have not linked the death to the coronavirus outbreak, or New York’s lockdown.

In some parts of the world, people are getting arrested for going out of their homes for anything other than going to the supermarket.

The Sun:

POLICE in France have been pictured forcibly detaining a woman who reportedly refused to observe a nationwide quarantine.

The French government yesterday imposed new measures aimed at tackling the coronavirus, banning people from leaving their homes without permission.

Police and the army are now patrolling the streets across France to enforce the orders.

Footage posted to social media today showed a group of officers, some of them armed, holding a women down on Paris’s Rue Poulet while she struggles and shouts at them.

A number of passersby can bee seen looking on or arguing with police.

A caption said that the clip showed the “arrest of a woman by the police because she had no certificate”.

What this period of isolation and media hysteria about the pandemic is doing to people’s minds is something that’ll probably become clearer in the next few weeks, but this whole thing doesn’t appear to be having a positive effect.

Will things even ever go back to the way they were before the outbreak?

Social Isolation May Cause Physical Inflammation, Study Finds https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/03/11/social-isolation-may-cause-phyisical-inflammation-study-finds/ Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Pomidor Quixote

Isolated by Modernity

In the past, isolation often meant death, but thanks to the wonders of Modernity, humans nowadays can survive with little to no contact with other humans.

Need food? Push a button.

Need emotions? Stare at some glowing screen.

But it appears that social isolation has a negative physical effect on humans, especially males.

Study Finds:

Cancelled weekend plans and unanswered text messages always tend to sting from a psychological perspective, but now a new study finds that days and nights spent all alone may cause us physical pain as well. Researchers at the University of Surrey and Brunel University London say that social isolation may lead to increased bodily inflammation.

As part of the largest research initiative on this subject to date, the study’s authors analyzed 30 previous studies that had explored the possibility of a connection between physical inflammation and social isolation.

“Loneliness and social isolation have been shown to increase our risk of poorer health,” says Dr. Kimberley Smith, Lecturer in Health Psychology at the University of Surrey, in a release. “Many researchers propose that part of the reason for this is because they influence the body’s inflammatory response.”

…

Interestingly, it also appears that social isolation is more likely to be harmful from a physical perspective for men than women. The study’s authors don’t have an explanation for this gender fluctuation as of yet, but say it’s probably linked to the different ways men and women deal with social stressors.

It’s not surprising.

Women are solipsistic creatures that could happily spend their entire lives rubbing their clitorises and playing with their hair if someone locked them up in a tower.

Men, on the other hand, are intended to interact with other men, to coordinate and work together to achieve goals, fight and build stuff.

“The evidence we examined suggests that social isolation may be linked with inflammation, but the results for a direct link between loneliness and inflammation were less convincing. We believe these results are an important first step in helping us to better understand how loneliness and social isolation may be linked with health outcomes,” Dr. Smith explains.

“Our results suggest loneliness and social isolation are linked with different inflammatory markers. This shows how important it is to distinguish between loneliness and isolation, and that these terms should neither be used interchangeably nor grouped together,” concludes Christina Victor, Professor of Gerontology and Public Health at Brunel University London.

Self-inflicted isolation is an understandable response to the degeneracy that is so rampant in the world these days.

People are self-quarantining from the worst disease that was ever known to man: Jewishness.

But we may have to accept that maybe we cannot escape being exposed to this corruption.

You can hide, but The Tranny is still there.

The Jews are still out there.

Satanists are still out there drinking blood and eating the bone marrow of babies.

You need to get out there and claim your place in the world.

We can fight off the bad parts together.
