Well.

This is suspicious.

Business Standard:

The Iranian city of Kerman witnessed a devastating attack near Qasem Soleimani’s burial site on Wednesday, resulting in a death toll of 103 and 188 injuries, according to a report by CNN. No group has claimed responsibility yet, while Iranian President Raisi blames Israel, warning of severe consequences. Here is what is known about the situation so far.

Two bombs exploded minutes apart on Wednesday in what appears to be the deadliest militant attack to target Iran since its 1979 Islamic Revolution. The gathering marked the fourth anniversary of the killing of General Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force, in a US drone strike in Iraq in January 2020. The explosions occurred near his gravesite as long lines of people gathered for the event.

The first explosion was 700 metres away from Soleimani’s grave, and the second was a kilometre (0.6 miles) away as pilgrims visited the site, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. However, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi accused Israel of being behind them. President Raisi warned that they would pay a “heavy price.”

“I warn the Zionist regime; do not doubt that you will pay a heavy price for this crime and the crimes you have committed,” Raisi said in a televised speech from Tehran, according to CNN.

The Iranian President, following the blasts, has issued a dire warning, stating that Israel will face “regrettable and severe” consequences.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reiterated this sentiment in a post on X (formerly Twitter), that Iran will have a “harsh response” to the attack.

He wrote, “They should know that the bright soldiers of the path of Soleimani will not tolerate their wickedness and crimes.”

Maybe it’s just a coincidence though?

Iran: Weightlifter Gets Banned for Life from Sport for Shaking Hands with Israeli https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/09/01/iran-weightlifter-gets-banned-for-life-from-sport-for-shaking-hands-with-israeli/ Fri, 01 Sep 2023 00:00:00 +0000

This could actually be a bit excessive.

He might have worried about getting penalized for unsportsmanlike behavior or something if he didn’t shake the Jew’s hand.

CNN:

An Iranian professional weightlifter received a lifetime ban from competing after shaking the hand of an Israeli athlete during an international competition, according to an Iranian state news agency.

Weightlifting champion Mostafa Rajaee, 36, was filmed shaking hands and posing for a picture with Israel’s Maksim Svirsky at the World Master Weightlifting Championships in Poland this week, according to a video published by Iran’s state-run news agency IRNA Wednesday.

Rajaee, who won the silver medal at the competition, was banned for life from all sports for actions described by the head of Iran’s weightlifting federation as “unacceptable and unforgivable.”

The head of the expedition, Hamid Salehinia, was also removed from his position, state outlet Tasnim reported.

In an Instagram post after the event, Rajaee thanked “everyone who helped me along the way [for finishing second]” but did not comment on either the handshake or his subsequent ban.

Iran does not recognize Israel as a country and regularly issues hostile statements, while Iranian athletes have long been prohibited by the government from competing against Israelis.

Regardless, I would prefer if my government was obsessively hateful towards the Jews, rather than obsessive Jew-suckers.

Iran proves that you can have a government that is against the Jews, totally.

Now that Iran is friends with Saudi Arabia – thanks to Emperor Xi! – maybe Saudi can return to its roots of Jew-hatred?

Someday… someday, maybe America can do the same.

Iran: “World’s Dirtiest Man” Dies Shortly After First Shower in Decades https://www.anglinarchive.com/2022/10/26/iran-worlds-dirtiest-man-dies-shortly-after-first-shower-in-decades/ Wed, 26 Oct 2022 00:00:00 +0000

There’s a lesson in here for all of us.

I’m not sure what that lesson is, but I’m sure it’s somewhere.

Daily Caller:

An Iranian man known as “the world’s dirtiest man,” who reportedly hadn’t showered for 60 years, died Sunday at the age of 94, according to Iranian state media reports cited by the New York Post.

The man, whom locals referred to by the nickname of Amou Haji, gained a degree of renown due to his alleged 60-year abstinence from showering, according to the New York Post.

Haji feared the use of soap and water could cause him to get sick, the BBC reported. He resisted repeated attempts by fellow villagers to clean him off before finally washing up a few months before he died, according to the NY Post.

The Iranian news agency IRNA said Haji developed a layer of “soot and pus” across his skin, according to the BBC.

Haji spoke about his aversion to fresh food in an interview with the Tehran Times in 2014, according to the BBC. He ate rotted porcupine and also smoked a pipe full of animal feces, the NY Post reported.

There are different articles that put him at different ages, ranging from 87 to 94.

Maybe even he wasn’t sure?
