A Cook County, Illinois, judge has been reassigned and faces a state disciplinary investigation after allegedly sharing a racist meme in a text message.

Injustice Watch reported on Friday that Judge Caroline Glennon-Goodman, a judge in the Cook County Circuit Court’s pretrial division, sent an image of a Black child and a Black child’s leg wearing an electronic monitor. Text included with the image reads “My First Ankle Monitor.”

Yeah, we’ve all seen that meme.

No need to explain.

Glennon-Goodman also sent a text saying, “My husband’s idea of Christmas humor,” according to a screenshot obtained by Injustice Watch.

Cook County Circuit Court Chief Judge Timothy Evans issued an order temporarily reassigning Glennon-Goodman “to promote public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary” after meeting with the court’s executive committee Friday.

Glennon-Goodman will receive implicit bias training and be referred to the state’s Judicial Inquiry Board to “determine whether further sanction is warranted,” the order also states.

The Cook County Bar Association, the area’s largest professional association of Black lawyers, condemned the judge’s actions in a statement provided to Injustice Watch.

“It is our understanding that the photo was meant to be shared with a different audience, and that the judge involved has apologized profusely as a result,” the statement said. “Nevertheless, such media is inappropriate to share regardless of the intended audience.”

The bar association added: “Discernment and judgment are of utmost importance for the qualifications of a judge. Any judge should be unbiased enough to not further circulate such a racist trope.”

It doesn’t even say who she sent the meme to.

A Chicago man who allegedly shot and killed four passengers at random as they were sleeping on a train on Monday has been charged.

Rhanni S. Davis, 30, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder, Fox Chicago reported.

The four victims were sleeping on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train around 5:30 a.m. when they were shot, authorities said.

The train arrived at the Forest Park station and CTA workers notified police.

Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth victim was taken to Loyola University Medical Center before being pronounced dead.

Two of the victims were identified as Adrian Collins, 60, and Simeon Bihesi, 28. The other two victims have so far been identified only as a male and a female.

Davis fled the scene after the shootings but was arrested on the CTA’s Pink Line. Police reportedly recovered a gun during the arrest.

Surveillance video allegedly showed Davis walking through a train car and shooting three of the victims seated separately, police said.

I used to side with the cops. I would see a headline like this one and say “well, there must be more too it, I’m sure that nigger was up to something.”

Authorities have released shocking video that shows a white police officer in Illinois shooting a Black woman – who called police in fear of a home intruder – in the face, killing her.

Sonya Massey, 36, was killed early on the morning of 6 July by deputy Sean Grayson of the Sangamon county sheriff’s office in her home in Springfield, the Illinois state capitol.

Massey, whom her daughter confirmed was paranoid-schizophrenic, had called police because she thought someone was trying to break into her home. When police arrived, they began looking into Massey’s home with flashlights, a neighbor, Cheryl Evans, told the Guardian. Evans wondered why police hadn’t knocked on her door, as they typically have done in the past when searching for suspects. Eventually, Grayson, who is white, and his partner entered the home where they began speaking to Massey.

After an initial discussion and request for Massey’s drivers license, Grayson spotted a pot of boiling water on the stove and ordered Massey to remove it to avoid starting a fire. In doing so, Massey asks the officers – who visibly distance themselves from her as she goes to handle the pot – why they moved away from her.

“Where you going?” she asks them.

“Away from your hot steaming water,” Grayson answers, with a laugh, before Massey responds: “Away from the hot steaming water? Oh, I’ll rebuke you in the name of Jesus.”

With his gun drawn, Grayson closed the distance between himself and Massey, who was beginning to kneel behind a counter with her hands up.

“You better fucking not, I swear to God I’ll fucking shoot you right in your fucking face,” Grayson warned.

The Illinois judge who reversed a teen’s sexual assault conviction in a shocking move that sparked nationwide outrage has been expelled from the bench.

Robert Adrian will no longer serve as a judge after the seven-member Illinois Court Commission removed him from the bench Friday for reversing the conviction of Drew Clinton, then 18, at his January 2022 sentencing hearing.

Adrian had found Clinton guilty of sexually assaulting Cameron Vaughan, then 16, while she was unconscious at a 2021 graduation party.

However, when it came time to sentence the convicted sexual predator, the judge had a sudden change of heart. Adrian testified that he felt Clinton — having already served nearly five months in county jail while his case worked its way through the court system — already served his punishment.

That’s not a “change of heart.” It’s a recognition of time served.

But the judge was not following the law, which states that the conviction carries a mandatory sentence of at least four years and he would be required to impose the term.

In order “to circumvent the law,” Adrian decided his only option was to reconsider his previous verdict and find Clinton not guilty, according to the commission’s report detailing its decision to expel the veteran judge.

Well, he wasn’t guilty.

After providing options that were “not going to solve the problem” of having to send the teen to prison, Adrian said at the sentencing that the prosecutors “failed to prove their case.”

The stunning move outraged advocates against sexual violence as well as Vaughan and her family. It spurred the distraught teenager to go public with her story after she felt the justice system failed her.

“I woke up at my friend’s place with a pillow over my face so I couldn’t be heard and Drew Clinton inside of me,” Vaughan said at the time, WGEM reported.

“I asked him to stop multiple times and he wouldn’t. I finally got off the couch and pushed him off of me and he jumped up and just started playing video games as if nothing had happened,” she said.

An Illinois community is mourning the loss of a 14-year-old high-school freshman who collapsed and died during a girls’ basketball game.

Amari Crite, a student at Momence High School, was participating in a junior-varsity game against Tri-Point on Thursday when she collapsed on the court, the Daily Journal reported.

The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office said the cause of death remains under investigation.

Shannon Anderson, superintendent of the school district in Momence south of Chicago, released a statement Friday morning about the tragedy.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our 9th-grade students,” Anderson wrote. “Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends affected by this tragic loss.”

Just remember: this always happened.

A group of seven teachers’ union-supported Chicago-area Congressional Democrats have joined together to demand the state end a scholarship program that helps more than 9,000 low-income students in Illinois.

Led by left-wing Chicago Democrat Jan Schakowsky (9th District), the crew of special interest Democrats demanded an end to the state-run Invest in Kids program, which gives donors to the scholarship fund a 75 percent tax credit for donating. This, the teachers’ union-besotted Democrat congresspeople said, creates “education inequities” in the Land of Lincoln, the Wall Street Journal reported.

“School vouchers, including Invest in Kids tax credit scholarships, perpetuate and deepen the education inequities that plague Illinois,” Schakowsky’s letter reads.

The accusation is hard to understand since the scholarships only go to families that are at 185 percent below the federal poverty level. One would think Democrats would feel that if any group would need “equity” measures, it is this sector of the state’s populace.

But “Democrats want to abolish Invest in Kids because it embarrasses the teachers unions,” the paper noted in its editorial.

Schakowsky was joined by fellow federal Democrat lawmakers Reps. Nikki Budzinski, Sean Casten, Danny Davis, Jonathan Jackson, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Delia Ramirez.

Why congressional representatives are meddling in this program is also hard to fathom. The program is run by the state, not the federal government, and was started by former Gov. Bruce Rauner (R-IL). It has raised nearly $2 billion since its inception to help send financially challenged Illinois kids to school.

But the Journal did spy a major reason for the meddling of these congresspeople: Teachers’ union donations to their campaigns.

Schakowsky, for instance, is the beneficiary of a huge amount of union cash because her husband, convicted felon Robert Creamer, runs a company called Strategic Consulting Group, which has been the happy recipient of more than $90,000 in cash from the Chicago Teachers Union.

The letter seems more like a sop to the unions than a serious effort to end the program, though. The program features a 2024 sunset clause that will automatically shut it down unless the state’s governor renews it for another term. And teachers’ union-pandering Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker has already said he has no desire to renew the program that has helped nearly 10,000 poor kids in the state.

Meanwhile, Pritzker has lavished an additional $2 billion on union-run school systems despite falling enrollment, plunging standards, and slumping student proficiency.

On Saturday, a 71-year-old Illinois man fatally stabbed a 6-year-old boy and seriously wounded his 32-year-old mother, targeting the pair for their Muslim faith amid the ongoing fighting between Israel and Hamas, according to police.

The boy, Wadea Al-Fayoume, was stabbed 26 times and pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the sheriff’s office. His mother was also stabbed several times but is expected to recover.

The suspect, Joseph M. Czuba, was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, two counts of hate crimes and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Justice Department announced Sunday night that it has opened a federal hate crime investigation into the events leading to the death of Al-Fayoume and the injuries suffered by his mother. Attorney General Merrick Garland said he was “heartbroken by the abhorrent killing.”

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) has signed into law a plan that allows foreign nationals with work permits, some of whom are illegal aliens, to become police officers in the sanctuary state.

Democrat legislators, with a supermajority in the Illinois House and Senate, passed legislation in June that opens law enforcement jobs to thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program as well as thousands of other foreign nationals with work permits from the federal government.

“… an individual against whom immigration action has been deferred by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services under the federal DACA process is allowed to apply for the position of police officer, deputy sheriff, or special policeman, subject to specified requirements,” a summary of the legislation states.

Late last week, Pritzker signed the legislation into law which takes effect immediately.

Illegal immigrants will soon be granted housing rights in the state of Illinois after Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) signed a bill into law that makes “immigration status” a protected class. This means that landlords will not be able to deny illegal immigrants housing as average home prices skyrocket across the state.

In June, Gov. Pritzker signed SB 1817 into law, which amends the Illinois Human Rights Act to include “immigration status” as a protected class, Breitbart News reports.

Democrat State Sen. Ann Gillespie praised the passing of the bill in a statement claiming that it promotes fairness despite the migrants entering the US both illegally and unfairly.

Breitbart noted that the passing of the bill comes at a hefty price to Americans struggling to find a place to live amid increasing housing costs. In Chicago, the most populated city in Illinois, the median rent has increased from $1,750 per month to $1,900 a month compared to last year.

Illegal immigration has had a significant impact on the housing market in the United States, with decades of research showing that mass immigration has raised housing costs by $3.7 trillion, according to Bloomberg.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Monday signed into law a bill that he says will make Illinois the first state in the nation to outlaw book bans.

Illinois public libraries that restrict or ban materials because of “partisan or doctrinal” disapproval will be ineligible for state funding as of Jan. 1, 2024, when the new law goes into effect.

“We are not saying that every book should be in every single library,” said Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, who is also the state librarian and was the driving force behind the legislation. “What this law does is it says, let’s trust our experience and education of our librarians to decide what books should be in circulation.”

The new law comes into play as states across the U.S. push to remove certain books in schools and libraries, especially those about LGBTQ+ themes and by people of color. The American Library Association in March announced that attempts to censor books in schools and public libraries reached a 20-year high in 2022 — twice as many as 2021, the previous record.

“Illinois legislation responds to disturbing circumstances of censorship and an environment of suspicion,” said Deborah Caldwell-Stone, director of the American Library Association’s Office for Intellectual Freedom and executive director of the Freedom to Read Foundation.

To be eligible for state funds, Illinois public libraries must adopt the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights, which holds that “materials should not be excluded because of the origin, background, or views of those contributing to their creation,” or subscribe to a similar pledge.

Despite Giannoulias’ assertion that “this should not be a Democrat or Republican issue,” lawmakers’ approval of the bill splintered across party lines, with Republicans in opposition.

“I support local control,” said House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, a Republican who voted against the measure, in an emailed statement. “Our caucus does not believe in banning books, but we do believe that the content of books should be considered in their placement on the shelves.”

Someone needs to start a campaign to make sure all these libraries have copies of Mein Kampf in them.

Seriously, that would be a great project. If the library already has a copy of it, you could demand they buy more copies. Say they need copies of every translation.
