A deranged nutjob slashed a Danish tourist in the face in an apparently random attack on the Upper West Side Wednesday morning, according to sources.

The screwball was caught on camera dashing after the 55-year-old victim on West 86th Street off Columbus Avenue around 10:40 a.m., before he came up from behind and slashed the man across the left ear and cheek, the sources said.

He then allegedly sprinted off back the way he’d come without a word.

It comes as Manhattan was shaken this week by a string of violent stabbings carried out across Manhattan Monday by a single mad man, who left three people dead in the bloody rampage.

Sometimes when insane homeless people go on stabbing rampages, they even get arrested for it.

A man has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the fatal stabbings of three people in a string of random attacks across Manhattan, police said Tuesday.

Ramon Rivera, 51, was taken into custody after he was found with blood on his clothes and the two kitchen knives, authorities said.

Investigators were working to understand what propelled the rampage, which happened within 2 1/2 hours Monday.

“No words exchanged. No property taken. Just attacked, viciously,” said Joseph Kenny, the New York Police Department’s chief of detectives. “He just walked up to them and began to attack them with the knives.”

The suspect in Monday’s rampage, who apparently is homeless, had been sentenced in a criminal case a few months ago and was arrested in a grand larceny case last month, officials said.

New York is an absolute police state, and they can’t prevent this?

It’s totally absurd.

New York is becoming worse than Brazil.

We need a state policy of death squads.

The homeless should all just be shot by off-duty police officers in ski masks.
