Donald Trump’s administration has started to remove or downgrade mentions of the climate crisis across the US government, with the websites of several major departments pulling down references to anything related to the climate crisis. Climate scientists said they were braced “for the worst”.

A major climate portal on the Department of Defense’s website has been scrapped, as has the main climate change section on the site of the Department of State. A climate change page on the White House’s website no longer exists, nor does climate content provided by the US agriculture department, including information that provides vulnerability assessments for wildfires.

An entire section on “climate and sustainability” hosted by the Department of Transportation has now vanished, with the department’s new leadership also ordering the elimination of any policy positions, directives or funding “which reference or relate in any way to climate change, ‘greenhouse gas’ [sic] emissions, racial equity, gender identity, ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ goals, environmental justice or the Justice40 initiative”.

Sean Duffy, the US transportation secretary, said the administration is focused on “eliminating excessive regulations that have hindered economic growth, increased costs for American families, and prioritized far-left agendas over practical solutions”.

Some researchers have found that their own studies, from ocean carbon cycles to the connectivity of cleaner electrical grids, have now vanished from federal government websites. Critics say the actions will stifle the public’s understanding of the climate crisis amid record-breaking temperatures and a wave of storms and wildfires that are being worsened by the burning of fossil fuels.

“We should plan for the worst,” said Michael Mann, a climate scientist at the University of Pennsylvania. “The keys to the car have been given to the polluters and fossil fuel plutocrats and they intend to drive it off the climate cliff.”

Mann said the Trump administration may be following in the footsteps of Florida, which last year passed a law banning any reference to climate change from state laws.

Gov. Kathy Hochul’s plans for the Empire State to go green are going south as local communities refuse to build massive battery plants that would store wind and solar energy.

One upstate town where a top state official leading the state’s anti-fossil fuel push just voted to ban construction of the plants — and one New York City politician has already called to pause any new sites for the facilities.

“We called for — and still support — a moratorium on these [Battery Energy Storage System] facilities almost two years ago,” said Vito Fossella, borough president of Staten Island, where more than a dozen of the facilities are planned.

“They are being placed literally right next door to people’s homes, and even next to a gas station,” Fosella said. “The city is playing with fire by allowing this type of reckless policy to continue.”

Well, they will start literal fires (which are nigh impossible to put out), and they will also give everyone cancer.

Then when they are used up, they will be disposed in a way that dumps poisonous rare earth minerals in the water supply.

This is all just lunacy. Coal power never caused these problems. But they invented this ridiculous scam about “global warming” so they could make all of this money poisoning everything and giving everyone cancer.

Duanesburg — where New York State Energy Research and Development president and CEO Doreen Harris lives — recently voted to ban BESS buildings because they “will pose a threat to the public health safety and welfare of residents of the Town and their property,” according to a resolution by the town board.

Duanesburg officials said they decided on the ban, first reported by the Daily Gazette, because the town relies on volunteer firefighters and that part of the town lacks access to public water. Critics have said they are not only a fire hazard, but could spark a blaze that takes longer to extinguish and would spew toxins into the air.

The BESS backlash is a blow to the state’s plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030 and achieve 100% zero-carbon emission electricity by 2040 under the the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act of 2019.

The facilities are considered vital in that green push but other communities are digging in against planned construction of the facilities, whether they are directly attached to construction of new alternative-energy plants or standalone battery plants.

Massive opposition has mounted against a 116-megawatt storage site on the Westchester County-Putnam County line. The town of Carmel in Putnam voted last October to ban lithium battery storage systems.

Trump needs to move to ban all of these “green” energy programs based on environmental and health grounds.

These companies do not have any right to poison everyone.


Besides, if global warming was actually real, they would just use nuclear power, which would solve the supposed “carbon crisis.”

Global warming isn’t real, so they won’t use nuclear, and instead they use these ridiculous and inefficient poison and cancer systems that everyone in the government is invested in.

Rain and air samples collected in metro Detroit that researchers checked for toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” showed the highest levels of TFA, an alarming finding because the compound is a potent greenhouse gas and more toxic than previously thought, but not well-studied.

While PFAS are a chemical class known to be ubiquitous in the environment, the new research is part of growing evidence around the globe that points to TFA, commonly used in refrigeration, air conditioning and clean energy technology, accumulating at much higher levels than other well-studied compounds.

“Clean” energy is incredibly toxic.

TFA is largely produced when fluorinated PFAS gas, or f-gases, break down in the atmosphere. The compound has a life of around 1,000 years – about as long as carbon dioxide. Its toxicity is far less understood than most common PFAS compounds, though recent research shows reproductive system harms similar to other forever chemicals.

The compound is especially problematic because it cannot be filtered out of water with traditional filtration methods, and it easily moves throughout the environment via water or in the atmosphere.

All samples also contained PFOS and PFOA, two of the most common and highly toxic PFAS compounds. The environmental protection agency has found virtually no level of exposure to the two compounds in drinking water is safe and the levels found in Dearborn and Detroit exceed the federal limit.

The Ukrainian government approved a plan to significantly spur green energy development on Tuesday as its war against Russia continues to drag on, according to Reuters.

Ukrainian officials stated that the development strategy will require about $20 billion in investment to be realized, and will aim to increase the share of the country’s power coming from sources like solar and wind up to 27% by 2030, according to Reuters. Ukrainian energy infrastructure has been hit hard by the ongoing war, and the U.S. government has approved at least $175 billion of assistance to the Ukrainians since Russian forces crossed into Ukrainian territory, according to the Council on Foreign Relations.

Specifically, the Ukrainian government is aiming for green energy generation to provide 33% of the power needed for heating and cooling systems, 29% for overall electricity generation and 17% of the power consumed for transportation, according to Reuters. While the government did not disclose what percentage of power demand is currently met by green energy generation, some local media reports have pegged the figure at about 10%.

The war in Ukraine continues to rage nearly two-and-a-half years after it started.

But if you could raise the earth’s temperature by a few degrees, and make the huge swaths of frozen land in Canada and Russia arable, why would you not do that?

Sea levels wouldn’t rise significantly, and if they did, seawalls are easy to build. The Philippines (poorest non-black country in the world) builds them. They are not hard to build.

Anyway, if global warming is real, why are the rich buying up very expensive property they say will be underwater in a few years?

Poisoning the entire world with PFAS in the name of changing the weather is the most insane shit that humans have ever done. This is dumber than the Holocaust hoax.

Toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” used in lithium ion batteries essential to the clean energy transition present a dangerous source of chemical pollution that new research finds threatens the environment and human health as the nascent industry scales up.

The multipronged, peer-reviewed study zeroed in on a little-researched and unregulated subclass of PFAS called bis-FASI that are used in lithium ion batteries.

Researchers found alarming levels of the chemicals in the environment near manufacturing plants, noted their presence in remote areas around the world, found they appear to be toxic to living organisms, and discovered that waste from batteries disposed of in landfills was a major pollution source.

The nation faces “two critical challenges – to minimize aquatic pollution and increase our use of clean and sustainable energy, and both are worthy causes”, said Jennifer Guelfo, a Texas Tech University researcher and study co-author.

The paper notes that few end-of-life standards for PFAS battery waste exist, and the vast majority ends up in municipal dumps where it can leach into waterways, accumulate locally or be transported long distances.

It looked at the presence of the chemicals in historical leachate samples and found none in those from prior to the mid-1990s, when the chemical class was commercialized.

Since very little toxicological data on bis-FASI exists, the study also checked for effects on invertebrates and zebrafish. It found effects at low exposure levels, which suggests toxicity in line with other PFAS compounds known to be dangerous.

Researchers also sampled water, soil and air around a 3M plant in Minnesota and other large facilities known to make the chemicals. The soil and water levels were concerning, Guelfo said, and detection of the chemicals in snow suggests the chemicals easily move through the atmosphere.

What is insane is that they call it “clean energy.”

It is the dirtiest shit imaginable.

If you were really worried about CO2, and you actually believed this bullshit, you would build smallish nuclear plants. We have the uranium. Burying the waste in the desert under concrete is not a big deal, environmentally. It’s not a problem. Instead, those got shut down right along with the coal plants.

Will this help the domestic economy in Europe?

It seems unlikely. Serious tariffs on everything imported might be a long term protectionist strategy which could help the European economy, but these people are supposed to be globalists.

Banning EVs alone just looks like sour grapes. It’s also provoking Europe’s number one trade partner for no reason.

But we know from the Ukraine war: German politicians simply do not care about the people of Germany. They don’t care about normal people, they don’t care about rich people. The only thing they care about is doing whatever the US tells them to do.

The European Union will impose tariffs of up to 37.6% from Friday on imports of electric vehicles made in China, EU officials said, ratcheting up tensions with Beijing in Brussels’ largest trade case yet.

There is however a four-month window during which the tariffs are provisional and intensive talks are expected to continue between the two sides as Beijing threatens wide-ranging retaliation.

The European Commission’s provisional duties of between 17.4% and 37.6% without backdating are designed to prevent what its president Ursula von der Leyen has said is a threatened flood of cheap EVs built with state subsidies.

The rates, laid out in a 208-page document published on Thursday, are almost the same as those announced by the Commission on June 12. The executive made adjustments after companies identified minor calculation errors in the initial disclosure.

Beijing said then it would take “all necessary measures” to safeguard China’s interests.

These could include retaliatory tariffs on exports to China of products such as cognac or pork.

EU trade chief Valdis Dombrovskis said there is no basis for China to retaliate.

The Chinese EV problem is not a small problem for the West.

They are absolutely dominating. And this is an industry that is small now, but which the West has declared will be the majority of cars on the road in Europe in America in the next X years.

The way things are going now, Tesla is on the verge of collapse. I assume that the German companies can stay in the market because they producing more “luxury” style models that some people want, and some people just want a German logo on their car. But the overwhelming majority of cars on the road are going to be Chinese.

And it’s the American global warmers that are saying EVs are going to replace all normal cars in the next decade or whatever. That was their idea. China said “yeah, we can make that happen.” Of course, China is also making gas and diesel cars, which are going to be cheaper and better than Western cars, excluding maybe Toyota/Honda (which are not actually “Western companies”).

The Bigger Issue Here

The bigger issue here is that it’s not just EVs that China is dominating. The way things are going now, they’re going to dominate all consumer electronics, completely. Apple phones have become so overpriced, and so annoying. There is no logic in people continuing to buy these phones. They do so out of habit, and in many cases because the Chinese models are not available in Western markets. But that will not last forever, without a full protectionist system, that would probably be impossible to implement at this point.

Then you have industrial technologies. The Chinese are hiring to German engineers sick of dealing with Germany to work in all of the different tech fields. China is going to be overtaking the companies that make all of this ultra expensive medical equipment, they’re going to overtake the companies that build the bullet trains, they’re going to dominate appliances, all of it.

This can’t be stopped and it’s really already happened.

Texas is leading a 19-state coalition challenging a federal agency requiring states to implement a “green energy” transition.

The states filed a complaint with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in response to a rule it passed to advance unprecedented federal control over the US electric grid.

Currently, state regulatory bodies determine the most efficient mix of energy sources for their states.

FERC’s new rule appears to be an unfunded mandate, requiring states to implement “green energy” electricity generation and cover the costs to transition to it.

Texas, which maintains its own electric grid, filed the complaint, leading a 19-state coalition.

It argues FERC’s rule exceeds its authority, is arbitrary and capricious and creates an “unjust, unreasonable, and/or unduly discriminatory rates” that violate the Federal Power Act.

The rule is “not supported by reasoned decision-making or explanation and runs counter to the evidence,” the 48-page brief states.

FERC issued the rule “attempting to do indirectly what it cannot do directly: usurp the States’ exclusive authority over generation choices by adopting planning rules designed to benefit remote renewable generation and renewable developers, and shift billions or trillions of dollars in transmission costs from those developers onto electric consumers,” the coalition argues.

The coalition includes Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah.

Maybe the story here is really about federal overreach.

But there is so much federal overreach that it’s not really a very interesting angle at this point.

I wish more people were aware of just how destructive “green energy” is to the natural world.

These people are going to poison everything and make it impossible for life to exist on the earth if they are allowed to keep going with this agenda.

Lithium-ion batteries used in E-bikes and other electronic mobility devices are now a leading cause of fires in New York City following their popularity surged during the pandemic’s delivery boom, FDNY officials say.

FDNY Chief Fire Marshal Daniel Flynn told The Post that fires related to lithium-ion batteries have gone up nearly nine-fold since the pandemic, with more blazes related to the batteries happening in the last two months than in all of 2019.

“It’s the prevalence of these e-devices on our streets, there’s way more of them now than ever before,” Flynn said.

The fire chief attributed the popularity of the e-bikes and scooters to the “gig economy” boom in 2020, which saw people purchase the devices on the cheap-side in droves to do delivery jobs.

He added that the vehicles have also become popular among commuters.

“People bought these devices some three years ago, and now they’re aging,” he said, noting that many don’t know the dangers caused by the wear-and-tear on the batteries’ energy cells.

While there were only 30 fires related to the batteries in 2019, the number more than tripled by 2021, with 104 fires reported. That year also saw four fatalities, while no one was reported to have died from the blazes in 2019 or 2020.

The amount of battery-related fires more than doubled the following year, with 220 fires reported, as well as six deaths confirmed. Last year, the FDNY reported 268 fires involving lithium-ion batteries, 150 injuries and 18 deaths.

As of Feb. 26, officials said there have been 31 fires related to the batteries, along with 26 injuries and one death.

Statistically, the chance of your battery blowing up is low, but it seems like you’d always be thinking about the possibility.

Remember when vapes used to explode and blow people’s faces off? People were getting their teeth blown out? It was really rare, but it was like “bro, I really don’t want my face blown off.”

Risk calculation is something we all do, but even when the chances are low, when the outcome is very bad, it creates a constant sense of unease.

Desperate Tesla owners in and around Chicago were seen trying to charge their vehicles with no luck amid frigid temperatures that have gripped the Midwest.

Charging stations have essentially turned into car graveyards in recent days as temperatures have dropped to the negative double digits, Fox Chicago reported.

“Nothing. No juice. Still on zero percent,” Tyler Beard, who had been trying to recharge his Tesla at an Oak Brook, Illinois Tesla supercharging station since Sunday afternoon, told the news outlet. “And this is like three hours being out here after being out here three hours yesterday.”

Beard and several other Tesla owners were trying to charge their cars amid long lines and abandoned cars at other Tesla charging stations in the Chicago area, the news station reported.

“This is crazy. It’s a disaster. Seriously,” said Tesla owner Chalis Mizelle.

One expert told the news outlet that cold weather can impact the ability of electric vehicles to charge properly.

“It’s not plug and go. You have to precondition the battery, meaning that you have to get the battery up to the optimal temperature to accept a fast charge,” said Mark Bilek of the Chicago Auto Trade Association.

China’s BYD sold a record number of cars in 2023, moving it closer to displacing Tesla as the world market leader for electric vehicles.

The Chinese company posted a 62% surge in global sales to just over three million units last year, compared to 2022, according to a stock exchange filing.

BYD sold 1.57 million battery electric vehicles (BEVs) last year, up 73%, as well as 1.44 million hybrids, 52% higher than the previous year.

Tesla is due to unveil its full-year sales figures as early as Tuesday. Analysts expect the US EV maker to have roughly met its annual delivery target of 1.8 million BEVs. It does not sell hybrids.

In 2022, BYD trailed Tesla in global BEV sales by about 400,000 units. The gap is expected to have narrowed last year. And in the most recent quarter, BYD may have already overtaken Elon Musk’s company.

Beijing has set a target that at least 20% of new cars sold annually by 2025 should be new energy vehicles (NEVs), which include BEVs, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. By 2035, the government says, NEVs should become the “mainstream” of new car sales.

The first goal was achieved in 2022, about three years early. The second may also be reached earlier than expected.

In the first 11 months of 2023, 8.3 million units of new energy vehicles were sold, accounting for more than 30% of total car sales, according to data released last month by the China Association of Auto Manufacturers.

Miao Wei, former minister of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a car forum in November that the government’s NEV penetration target of 50% by 2035 is likely to be achieved by 2025 or 2026 at the latest, according to state media.

Whether or not electric cars are even a good idea is debatable, but there is probably a place for them in ultra-urban environments which become very smoggy. China’s air has cleaned up massively since they started pushing electric bikes to replace the classic 90cc Hondas that have been a stable of Asian transport since the 1970s.

Obviously, the fact that you still have to burn “fossil fuels” to power electric cars defeats the moronic “global warming” arguments. However, if the cars are affordable, there is an argument about air quality, particularly in extremely crowded cities.
