Up to a third of those identified at recent protests in Tbilisi have turned out to be foreign nationals, according to the executive secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Mamuka Mdinaradze.

The anti-government protests broke out in the Georgian capital last week after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that he would be freezing accession talks with the EU due to Brussels’ “constant blackmail and manipulation” of the former Soviet republic’s domestic politics.

Pro-EU protesters have since taken to the streets and repeatedly clashed with law enforcement, setting off fireworks and throwing Molotov cocktails at riot police, as well as setting fire to the parliament building. Law enforcement officials have in turn deployed tear gas and water cannons in an attempt to disperse the protesters, over 200 of whom have reportedly been arrested. More than 110 police officers have also been injured during the protests.

Speaking at a briefing on Tuesday, Mdinaradze claimed that “30% of the people who were identified at the protests in Tbilisi are citizens of other countries.”

“What’s going on? Someone has to explain this strangeness. Why are these foreign citizens so upset after our decision?” the politician asked, noting that there were many Russian citizens among the detained protesters, as well as people from the US, the UK and the Netherlands.

The US is considering additional sanctions against individuals in Georgia it has deemed responsible for brutal violence amid the ongoing unrest, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The country’s pro-Western political parties are staging nightly protests in the post-Soviet republic, which have escalated into clashes with the police on multiple occasions, in an attempt to overturn the results of the October elections, which they claim were rigged.

Blinken accused Tbilisi’s ruling Georgian Dream party of committing “brutal and unjustified violence” against protesters while announcing the possibility of new punitive measures on Wednesday, and expressed support for what he called the desire of the people to join “the Euro-Atlantic family.” Washington’s commitment to that is “ironclad,” he added.

Blinken demanded the release of detained protesters and that officials be held accountable for police officers “engaging in the unlawful use of force.”

On multiple occasions, rally-goers have reportedly fired fireworks at riot police and pelted them with rocks. The officers used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowds. Dozens of people on both sides have been reported injured since mid-November.

Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili is among the leaders of the protest movement. She has said that she will not step down from office when her term expires later this month, because, she claims, the newly-elected parliament cannot legally pick her successor.

On Monday, the French-born head of state urged schools to support the protesters. This triggered a rebuke from the influential Georgian Orthodox Church, which interpreted her call as an attempt to drag minors into the conflict.

A mother-of-four was handcuffed in front of her children and hauled off to jail after she allowed her 11-year-old son to walk less than a mile into a small town.

Brittany Patterson went to drive her eldest son to a medical appointment on October 30, and her youngest, 11-year-old Soren, was supposed to tag along – but was not around when it was time to leave, Reason Magazine reports.

She had figured he was simply playing in the woods or visiting his grandmother, Patterson told the outlet, noting that her father lives with them and her mother and sisters live just two minutes away.

But it turned out Soren decided to walk to downtown Mineral Bluff, a town of just 370 people that is less than a mile from their home.

Mineral Bluff is 87% white and 0% black, so the odds of anything happening to him were pretty low.

He was spotted alongside the road by a woman who asked if he was OK, and even though he replied that he was, the woman called police, the magazine reports.

A female sheriff’s deputy then picked up the boy, and called Patterson.

‘She asked me if I knew he was downtown and I said, “no,”‘ the mother said.

She said she was upset that Soren had gone into town without letting anyone know, but did not think there was a reason to worry.

The deputy, however, ‘kept mentioning how he could have been run over, or kidnapped or “anything” could have happened,’ Patterson said.

The deputy ultimately drove Soren home and left him with his grandfather.

When Patterson ultimately returned home, she scolded her son for his actions – which she thought was the end of her woes.

But at around 6.30pm that night, the deputy showed up with another officer, handcuffed Patterson and brought her to jail, where she was fingerprinted, had her mugshot taken and was put in prison garb, according to an online fundraiser set up for her legal bills.

She said she did not understand what was happening, as she had grown up in the area with unsupervised time to wander and play, and was raising her children that way as well.

Patterson was ultimately released on a $500 bail – but her troubles did not end there.

The following day, a case manager from the Division of Family and Children’s Services arrived at her house for a home visit and even interviewed Patterson’s oldest son at his school.

The case manager told Patterson everything seemed fine, she told Reason Magazine, but a few days later, the Division of Family and Children’s Services presented her with a ‘safety plan’ for her to sign.

It would require her to delegate a ‘safety person’ to be a ‘knowing participant and guardian’ and watch over the children whenever she leaves home.

The plan would also require Patterson to download an app on Soren’s cellphone to monitor his location – something she has refused to do.

She instead reached out to attorney David DeLugas, the head of ParentsUSA – a nonprofit that provides pro bono legal help to parents wrongly arrested and prosecuted for child neglect.

An assistant district attorney has since told DeLugas that if Patterson were to sign the safety plan, the criminal charges against her would be dropped.

But DeLugas responded by saying that if Patterson was being compelled to sign a safety plan just because her son walked somewhere without her knowing his exact location, he would be prevented from visiting friends or having any independence whatsoever.

The president of Georgia said she refuses to recognise the country’s parliamentary election results, urging people to take part in protests.

President Salome Zourabichvili said a “Russian special operation” influenced the outcome of the election, which saw the ruling party, Georgian Dream, secure 54.8% of Saturday’s vote.

She urged Georgians to take to the streets to refute the results, calling them a “total falsification, a total stealing of your votes”.

“This election cannot be recognised, because it is the recognition of Russia’s intrusion here, Georgia’s subordination to Russia,” Zourabichvili added.

Irakli Kobakhidze, who is a member of Georgian Dream and has served as the country’s prime minister since February 2024, described his party’s victory as “impressive and obvious”.

Georgia’s political system consists of a president, whose role is ceremonial head of state, and a prime minister serving as the head of government.

Georgian Dream has become increasingly authoritarian over the past year, adopting laws similar to those used by Russia to crack down on free speech.

Scores of Georgia residents already reeling from Hurricane Helene have been grappling with fallout from another disaster over the past week: a chemical-plant inferno bathing their community in toxic gases.

The dangerous blaze ignited last Sunday — just days after the killer ‘cane slammed the state — at the BioLab plant in Rockdale County southeast of Atlanta, officials said.

The disaster, which was unrelated to the weather chaos, erupted when a malfunctioning fire-sprinkler head sprayed water on volatile chemicals, kicking off a chain reaction that ended in a sky-high eruption of multicolored toxic smoke, they said.

Seventeen thousand people were evacuated from the area, and around 90,000 more were ordered to shelter in place as an ominous smoke column loomed over the county and spewed chlorine gas throughout the week.

County authorities have extended the stay-at-home order through this past weekend as HAZMAT teams worked to contain the “continued reaction,” BioLab said on its website.

The poisonous inferno was the third fire that has broken out in the Rockdale plant, county fire Chief Marian McDonald told reporters.

Now the feds are investigating BioLab for possible corner-cutting – and not for the first time.

“We are sending investigators to the site to determine the cause of this dangerous incident and the safety gaps at the facility that allowed this huge fire to occur,” said Steve Owens, chairman of the US Chemical Safety Board.

Maybe “corner-cutting” explains it.

Georgian parliamentary speaker Shalva Papuashvili said in a Facebook post on Thursday that he had signed into law a “family values” bill curbing LGBT rights, just weeks before a high-stakes parliamentary election.

Lawmakers from the ruling Georgian Dream party last month approved the bill, which bans gender transitions and could outlaw pride marches and displays of the LGBT rainbow flag. The party says the law is necessary to protect Georgia’s Orthodox Christian church from outsiders.

President Salome Zourabichvili, a critic of the ruling party, had refused to sign the bill into law. Georgian Dream and its allies in parliament had enough seats to overcome her opposition.

Georgian LGBT activists say that the law is an attempt by Georgian Dream to boost support among conservative voters ahead of the Oct. 26 election, in which the party is seeking an unprecedented fourth term in power.

Some Western countries have criticised the bill, casting it as part of what they say is a turn towards authoritarianism and alignment with Russia in country that had mainly leaned towards the West since the breakup of the Soviet Union.

Opinion polls show that Georgian Dream remains the country’s most popular single party against a divided opposition, though it has lost ground since 2020, when it won almost 50% of the vote and a narrow majority in parliament.

Look, I guarantee you, there is an army of “legal experts” who are going to give an explanation as to how this judge is not overruling the Supreme Court. But you are a person with a brain who can absorb information and process it critically.

The Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, which claimed that “privacy” was a reason for women to have abortions. They said this was not accurate. Now, a state judge is saying that actually, that is the case.

This judge is citing the Georgian Constitution, but he’s citing a passage that is the same as the US Constitution.

On the macro scale, America is a nation ruled by (predominately Jewish) special interest groups that control the flow of information. However, on the practical level, it is a Dikastocracy: a country ruled by judges. Contrary to their original purpose in the founding of the country, judges are just able to do whatever. There is no purpose in elected bodies passing laws when judges can just override them whenever they see fit.

A state court judge on Monday blocked a Georgia law banning abortion after about six weeks of pregnancy, finding it violated the rights to privacy and liberty guaranteed by the state constitution.

The order from Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney allows abortions to resume for now, though the state can appeal to have the law reinstated.

The law bans almost all abortions after a “human heartbeat” is detected, typically around six weeks, before many women know they are pregnant. It was passed in 2019 but did not take effect until the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022 overturned its longstanding Roe v. Wade precedent, which had guaranteed abortion rights nationwide.

In Monday’s decision, McBurney said the Georgia law violated women’s basic rights. He ruled that the state could ban abortion only after fetal viability.

“Women are not some piece of collectively owned community property the disposition of which is decided by majority vote,” he wrote. “Forcing a woman to carry an unwanted not-yet-viable fetus to term violates her constitutional rights to liberty and privacy, even taking into consideration whatever bundle of rights the not-yet-viable fetus may have.”

The “fetus” apparently has fewer rights than a pet guinea pig.

But hey, whatever.

Everyone sort of knew this whole anti-abortion thing wasn’t going anywhere. For many in the pro-life movement, this is an abstract issue, and the fact that these laws are saying “you can kill the baby as long as you do it in a timely manner” shows that it’s not serious.

The bigger lesson here is that the government is a scam. Democracy is retarded in the first place, but when democracy does something that Jews don’t like, all of the sudden it’s not a democracy anymore, and some wigless unelected slob in a robe comes in and tells you how it’s gonna be.

Anti-abortion activists did all of this work, went through the process, could only get a law passed to stop abortions that don’t even really happen (effectively, all abortions are in the first trimester, most before six weeks), and then after all of that, some guy no one elected and who no one has ever heard of is just like “yeah, nah.”

Georgia officials are asking some residents to evacuate after a fire at a chemical plant started spreading toxic smoke on Sunday.

The fire began at the BioLab plant in Conyers – which is located around 32 miles southeast of Atlanta – at 5 a.m. on Sunday, FOX 5 Atlanta reported. BioLab is a company that produces pool chemicals, according to its website.

BioLab told Fox News Digital that they are “actively responding” to the incident.

Authorities say that those who live south of I-20 are safe, but those who live north of I-20 or between I-20 and Sigman Road are asked to evacuate.

“Please evacuate the area if you are inside this zone,” Rockdale County officials said in a Facebook post. “I-20 will be blocked off in both directions between Salem Rd and Turner Hill.”

During a Sunday press conference, Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett told residents that “this is not the time to do any type of sightseeing.”

“We are strongly encouraging everyone, no matter where you’re coming from, but especially Rockdale residents, to stay out of this area for the safety of yourself, and for the safety of all personnel that are out here already that have to work this type of incident,” the official advised.
