The Science is at it again!

Turning humans into pigs!

CNN:

Doctors have performed the first transplant of a genetically modified kidney from a pig into a living human, they announced Thursday.

The four-hour surgery was performed Saturday at Massachusetts General Hospital, which was also the first hospital to perform a kidney transplant in 1954.

The patient, Rick Slayman, a 62-year-old manager with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation who had been diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease, is recovering well and expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.

Doctors said Thursday that they thought his new kidney could last years but also acknowledged that there are many unknowns in animal-to-human transplants.

In a written statement provided by the hospital, Slayman said he had been a patient in the hospital’s transplant program for 11 years. He previously received a kidney from a human donor in 2018 after living with diabetes and high blood pressure for many years. That kidney began to show signs of failure five years later, and he resumed dialysis in 2023.

When he was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease last year, he said, his doctors suggested that he try a pig kidney.

“I saw it not only as a way to help me, but a way to provide hope for the thousands of people who need a transplant to survive,” Slayman said in the statement.

Doctors who were not involved in the case said the surgery represented a significant medical milestone.

“To finally see this come to fruition after years of work and collaboration is really a huge step forward and a great moment for transplant,” said Dr. Parsia Vagefi, chief of surgical transplantation at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Tatsuo Kawai, director of the Legorreta Center for Clinical Transplant Tolerance and the surgeon who performed the operation, said the pig organ was exactly the same size as a human kidney.

When they stitched it in, connecting its blood vessels to Slayman’s, Kawai said, it immediately “pinked up” and began to make urine. The 15-member transplant team in the operating room burst into applause, he said.

“It was truly the most beautiful kidney I have ever seen,” Kawai said Thursday in a news briefing that was emotional for the doctors involved, some of whom have worked on this research for their entire careers.

…

The organ came from a pig that was genetically modified by a company eGenesis Bio to make it more compatible with a human. Other companies are also working to make pig tissues and organs suitable for xenotransplants.

People will say “oh well, I wouldn’t want to die either.”

But is that true?

Would you really rather become part pig than simply die?

Is dying really that big of a deal?

Nurse removes the pig kidney from its box.

China Lagging Behind Tranny Arms Race, Wasting Time Creating Fluorescent Monkeys https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/11/11/china-lagging-behind-tranny-arms-race-wasting-time-creating-fluorescent-monkeys/ Sat, 11 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Personally, I would prefer to have a pet monkey that glows than to have my penis chopped off.

I guess that makes me an agent of the communistic Chinese.

New York Post:

Scientists in China have recorded the first-ever live birth of a chimeric monkey using stem cells, with the baby simian sporting bright green eyes and fingertips, according to a new study.

Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences published their findings in Cell Thursday, noting that the monkey was created from two genetically distinct embryos of Cynomolgus monkeys, also known as crab-eating macaques.

The researchers had laced the test subjects with a fluorescence green protein to highlight which tissues had grown specifically from the stem cells gathered from 7-day-old embryos.

The result was the baby monkey’s fluorescent green eyes and fingers. The scientists touted it as the world’s first live birth of a primate chimera using stem cells.

The monkey, unfortunately, lived for only 10 days before being euthanized.

It’s a shame.

Honestly, I don’t even know what the point of this is.

But it’s a fact that the US is dumping all of its biomedical research money into tranny stuff and genetic-engineering vaccines that kill you.

Chickens have been gene-edited to acquire resistance to bird flu, suggesting a possible way to protect flocks from future outbreaks. https://t.co/cSqKHLG56N

— New Scientist (@newscientist) October 10, 2023

We had to stop doing everything to stop viruses in order to start doing everything to stop Russia.

We might soon have to do everything to stop Moslems.

Or… maybe we’ll go back to the virus thing?

Whatever it is, it’s gonna be big.

The Guardian:

Scientists have created the world’s first flu-resistant chickens in an advance that could pave the way for gene-edited poultry on UK farms.

The birds, which had small alterations to one gene, were highly resistant to avian flu, with nine in 10 birds showing no signs of infection when exposed to a typical dose of the virus.

However, infections were not completely blocked, and scientists say this would have to be achieved before genetically engineered chickens could be introduced to farms, due to the risk of the virus evolving to become more dangerous to humans.

Prof Wendy Barclay, of Imperial College London, a co-author of the study, which is published in Nature Communications, said: “Under natural doses our gene-edited chickens really seemed to be resistant, but when we took a very high dose, we did see in half of the chickens a breakthrough infection.

“This showed us a proof of concept that we can move towards making chickens resistant to the virus but we’re not there yet.”

…

Vaccinating birds is expensive and of limited effectiveness due to the rapid evolution of the flu virus. Tighter biosecurity measures, such as keeping chickens indoors, affect animal welfare.

McGrew said: “Gene-editing offers a promising route towards permanent disease resistance, which could be passed down through generations, protecting poultry and reducing the risks to humans and wild birds.”

Will it also mutate human genes, I wonder?

You would think so…

This is some kind of sick sorcery.

Blood banks were bad enough, but pig organs in humans are beyond the pale.

Wouldn’t you rather just die than become part pig?

Why is everyone so afraid of death?

New York Post:

In a medical breakthrough, NYU Langone Health surgeons successfully transplanted a pig kidney into a brain-dead man, who has now survived on the organ for more than a month.

“This represents the longest period that a gene-edited pig kidney has functioned in a human, and the latest step toward the advent of an alternate, sustainable supply of organs for transplant,” according to an NYU Langone Health news release.

The surgical staff also gave a special thanks to Mary Miller Duffy, the sister of the brain-dead man, Maurice Miller, who allowed her brother’s body to be used for the innovative procedure.

…

Research on the first-of-its-kind operation, which took place July 14, will continue into mid-September, as doctors monitor how long the animal’s kidney will function properly inside a human body beyond 32 days.

The pig kidney had only “one genetic modification and [is] without experimental medications or devices,” according to Montgomery.

In xenotransplants, the medical term for a cross-species organ transplant, Montgomery and his team had to create a unique solution for the patient’s body to avoid “hyperacute rejection” of the animal’s organ once it connected to the 57-year-old man’s circulatory system.

This was done by “knocking out” the alpha-gal gene that doctors altered to prevent a rejection in the man.

Additionally, the pig’s thymus gland — which communicates with its immune system — “was embedded underneath the outer layer of the kidney to stave off novel, delayed immune responses.”

“The combination of modifications has been shown to prevent rejection of the organ while preserving kidney function,” according to NYU.

This potentially game-changing surgery, part of a larger study on the subject, could someday prove an efficient treatment for the more than 103,000 people in need of organ transplants across the US.

“There are simply not enough organs available for everyone who needs one,” said Montgomery, who himself had a heart transplant five years ago. “Too many people are dying because of the lack of available organs, and I strongly believe xenotransplantation is a viable way to change that.”

Well.

They’re not putting any pig organs in me, I can tell you that much.

UK: The Science Makes Baby with DNA from Three People https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/05/10/uk-the-science-makes-baby-with-dna-from-three-people/ Wed, 10 May 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Yeah, okay, so, I guess we’re doing this now.

The Guardian:

The first UK baby created with DNA from three people has been born after doctors performed a groundbreaking IVF procedure that aims to prevent children from inheriting incurable diseases.

The technique, known as mitochondrial donation treatment (MDT), uses tissue from the eggs of healthy female donors to create IVF embryos that are free from harmful mutations their mothers carry and are likely to pass on to their children.

Because the embryos combine sperm and egg from the biological parents with tiny battery-like structures called mitochondria from the donor’s egg, the resulting baby has DNA from the mother and father as usual, plus a small amount of genetic material – about 37 genes – from the donor.

The process has led to the phrase “three-parent babies”, though more than 99.8% of the DNA in the babies comes from the mother and father.

Research on MDT, which is also known as mitochondrial replacement therapy (MRT), was pioneered in the UK by doctors at the Newcastle Fertility Centre. The work aimed to help women with mutated mitochondria to have babies without the risk of passing on genetic disorders. People inherit all their mitochondria from their mother, so harmful mutations in the “batteries” can affect all of the children a woman has.

Man now thinks Science makes him God.

This is the definition of “Luciferian.”

The Science Says Gene Therapy Could Make People Happy, Improve Mental Health https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/02/26/the-science-says-gene-therapy-could-make-people-happy-improve-mental-health/ Sun, 26 Feb 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Oh sure, this makes a lot of sense.

Give people mRNA vaccines for mental health.

The Guardian:

The way depression manifested itself in mice in the laboratory of the psychiatrist and neuroscientist Eric Nestler was hauntingly relatable. When put in an enclosure with an unknown mouse, they sat in the corner and showed little interest. When presented with the treat of a sugary drink, they hardly seemed to notice. And when put into water, they did not swim – they just lay there, drifting about.

These mice had been exposed to “social defeat stress”, meaning that older, bigger mice had repeatedly asserted their dominance over them. It is a protocol designed to induce depression in mice, but in Nestler’s lab, it affected some more than others: those with a history of early trauma.

“What one sees clearly in these mouse and rat models is some that are exposed to early life stress do show greater susceptibility to stress later in life,” says Nestler, who is based at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.

This appears to be true for humans, too. The reasons are still unclear, but there is growing evidence that part of the answer lies in epigenetics – processes that modify the function of our genes without changing the genetic code. Many researchers now think that childhood trauma biologically embeds itself in our bodies, alters how our genes work and puts our mental health at risk.

If that thinking holds up, it opens the door to radical new treatments. Just as gene editing is promising new therapies for everything, from heart disease to cancer, there are those who believe tinkering with the epigenome could help us reverse the damage done by trauma – essentially giving us a way to physically edit out the scars of the past.

This is kind of like a lobotomy, no?

Very bold strategy for solving the problem of everyone being sad all the time.

You people don’t think that the World Economic Forum is trying to wipe out the global population with fake vaccines because they have a plan to live forever, but they do.

They’re going to live forever, they’re going to kill you off, they’re going to replace you with robots, they’re going to invade outer space.

At least, that is literally their plan. It probably won’t work.

AP:

In Boston labs, old, blind mice have regained their eyesight, developed smarter, younger brains and built healthier muscle and kidney tissue. On the flip side, young mice have prematurely aged, with devastating results to nearly every tissue in their bodies.

The experiments show aging is a reversible process, capable of being driven “forwards and backwards at will,” said anti-aging expert David Sinclair, a professor of genetics in the Blavatnik Institute at Harvard Medical School and codirector of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research.

Our bodies hold a backup copy of our youth that can be triggered to regenerate, said Sinclair, the senior author of a new paper showcasing the work of his lab and international scientists.

The combined experiments, published for the first time Thursday in the journal Cell, challenge the scientific belief aging is the result of genetic mutations that undermine our DNA, creating a junkyard of damaged cellular tissue that can lead to deterioration, disease and death.

“It’s not junk, it’s not damage that causes us to get old,” said Sinclair, who described the work last year at Life Itself, a health and wellness event presented in partnership with CNN.

“We believe it’s a loss of information — a loss in the cell’s ability to read its original DNA so it forgets how to function — in much the same way an old computer may develop corrupted software. I call it the information theory of aging.”

…

While DNA can be viewed as the body’s hardware, the epigenome is the software. Epigenes are proteins and chemicals that sit like freckles on each gene, waiting to tell the gene “what to do, where to do it, and when to do it,” according to the National Human Genome Research Institute.

The epigenome literally turns genes on and off. That process can be triggered by pollution, environmental toxins and human behaviors such as smoking, eating an inflammatory diet or suffering a chronic lack of sleep. And just like a computer, the cellular process becomes corrupted as more DNA is broken or damaged, Sinclair said.

“The cell panics, and proteins that normally would control the genes get distracted by having to go and repair the DNA,” he explained. “Then they don’t all find their way back to where they started, so over time it’s like a Ping-Pong match, where the balls end up all over the floor.”

In other words, the cellular pieces lose their way home, much like a person with Alzheimer’s.

“The astonishing finding is that there’s a backup copy of the software in the body that you can reset,” Sinclair said. “We’re showing why that software gets corrupted and how we can reboot the system by tapping into a reset switch that restores the cell’s ability to read the genome correctly again, as if it was young.”

It doesn’t matter if the body is 50 or 75, healthy or wracked with disease, Sinclair said. Once that process has been triggered, “the body will then remember how to regenerate and will be young again, even if you’re already old and have an illness. Now, what that software is, we don’t know yet. At this point, we just know that we can flip the switch.”

The hunt for the switch began when Sinclair was a graduate student, part of a team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that discovered the existence of genes to control aging in yeast. That gene exists in all creatures, so there should be a way to do the same in people, he surmised.

To test the theory, he began trying to fast-forward aging in mice without causing mutations or cancer.

“We started making that mouse when I was 39 years old. I’m now 53, and we’ve been studying that mouse ever since,” he said. “If the theory of information aging was wrong, then we would get either a dead mouse, a normal mouse, an aging mouse or a mouse that had cancer. We got aging.”

With the help of other scientists, Sinclair and his Harvard team have been able to age tissues in the brain, eyes, muscle, skin and kidneys of mice.

Yeah, they’re going to do that to you with your stupid safe and effective vaccines, you dumbass retards.

To do this, Sinclair’s team developed ICE, short for inducible changes to the epigenome. Instead of altering the coding sections of the mice’s DNA that can trigger mutations, ICE alters the way DNA is folded. The temporary, fast-healing cuts made by ICE mimic the daily damage from chemicals, sunlight and the like that contribute to aging.

ICE mice at one year looked and acted twice their age.

You look twice your age after your booster, you stupid asshole.

Now it was time to reverse the process. Sinclair Lab geneticist Yuancheng Lu created a mixture of three of four “Yamanaka factors,” human adult skin cells that have been reprogrammed to behave like embryonic or pluripotent stem cells, capable of developing into any cell in the body.

The cocktail was injected into damaged retinal ganglion cells at the back of the eyes of blind mice and switched on by feeding mice antibiotics.

“The antibiotic is just a tool. It could be any chemical really, just a way to be sure the three genes are switched on,” Sinclair told CNN previously. “Normally they are only on in very young, developing embryos and then turn off as we age.”

The mice regained most of their eyesight.

Next, the team tackled brain, muscle and kidney cells, and restored those to much younger levels, according to the study.

“One of our breakthroughs was to realize that if you use this particular set of three pluripotent stem cells, the mice don’t go back to age zero, which would cause cancer or worse,” Sinclair said. “Instead, the cells go back to between 50% and 75% of the original age, and they stop and don’t get any younger, which is lucky. How the cells know to do that, we don’t yet understand.”

Today, Sinclair’s team is trying to find a way to deliver the genetic switch evenly to each cell, thus rejuvenating the entire mouse at once.

…

What’s next? Billions of dollars are being poured into anti-aging, funding all sorts of methods to turn back the clock.

In his lab, Sinclair said his team has reset the cells in mice multiple times, showing that aging can be reversed more than once, and he is currently testing the genetic reset in primates. But decades could pass before any anti-aging clinical trials in humans begin, get analyzed and, if safe and successful, scaled to the mass needed for federal approval.

Yeah, they’re not going to release the technology to you. They are killing you with vaccines, chemical food, and wars.

They publish this stuff on their websites.

You people don’t have any idea.

The Science Resurrects Proteins from Long-Extinct Organisms to Use for Gene-Editing Humans https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/01/05/the-science-resurrects-proteins-from-long-extinct-organisms-to-use-for-gene-editing-humans/ Thu, 05 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0000

It’s time to really, really change your genetics – with the genes of long-extinct creatures!

El Pais:

For years, scientists from all over the world have been searching for microbes in the ice of Antarctica, in the deepest trenches of the oceans and in the most hostile volcanic environments on the planet. The goal is to track down new proteins that can be used to improve gene-editing techniques. This could open the door to a new era of science and medicine, in which a multitude of diseases could be cured by correcting patients’ faulty genomes with astonishing ease.

Today, a study has been published by a group of Spanish scientists who haven’t just searched for new molecules in space – they have searched for them in time. The team has managed to resurrect proteins from organisms that have been extinct for billions of years.

BILLIONS???

The researchers have focused on recreating Cas9 enzymes – molecules that work like scissors, capable of cutting the DNA of any living being. This is the basis of the CRISPR gene-editing system.

CRISPR is the immune system of many bacteria and archaea. It allows them to embed virus genetic sequences into their own genome, so that if a virus reappears, CRISPR can identify it, while Cas9 enzymes can slash its genome.

Since its development in 2012, the CRISPR gene-editing system has revolutionized biomedical research, making it possible to rewrite the instruction book of any organism. Now, it’s beginning to be utilized to treat certain diseases in humans. However, this gene-editing system isn’t perfect: it can introduce potentially dangerous errors into the genome. The search for safer alternatives is still ongoing.

A pending question in the field of genetics is how the bacterial immune system – which is much older than humanity – came into existence. Searching for an answer, a team made up of some of Spain’s leading gene-editing experts used a technique to reconstruct the genome of extinct organisms. The technique is known as ancestral sequence reconstruction. It uses powerful computers to compare the complete genomes of living organisms – each made up of billions of letters of DNA – and evaluate what the genomes of their common ancestors would look like.

So far, the researchers have made amazing progress to recover Cas proteins from extinct microbes. The oldest one they have discovered is from 2.6 billion years ago. They have also rescued extinct proteins from microorganisms that lived between 37 million to 1 billion years ago.

Researchers have created new CRISPR systems using these ancient proteins, injecting them into human cells. The results – published in the journal Nature Microbiology – show that, despite being so primitive, all these ancient proteins are capable of editing the DNA of modern human cells.

In the early 1990s, biologist Francis Mojica was studying microbes that lived in the hostile environment of the salt flats of Santa Pola, in the Valencian community of Spain. He also analyzed the DNA sequence known as PAM, which allows microbes to distinguish between their own genomes and the genomes of viruses. Without PAMs, a bacterium could easily kill itself. But the new study – of which Mojica is a co-author – indicates that some of the oldest CAS enzymes are capable of cutting DNA accurately without the need for PAM.

Francis Mojica

Mojica highlights the importance of this discovery to understand the origin and evolution of CRISPR: “Thanks to this recovery, we can see how the immune system of microbes became less harmful to its carriers and increasingly specific for each virus.” In addition, ”this work is important, because it opens up a huge toolbox for creating better CRISPR systems.”

…

Co-author Lluís Montoliu – a researcher at the National Center for Biotechnology in Madrid – emphasizes another advantage of the primitive Cas proteins. Unlike more modern proteins, they aren’t detected by the human immune system, which means that they’re less likely to be rejected by the immune systems of patients when utilized in future medical applications.

Well, that certainly makes a lot of sense.

We can’t have the immune system rejecting our modifications, now can we???

They won’t have to get shots every day, they will only need shots every couple of months.

The rest of the time they can just eat vax-infused foods.

The Guardian:

Leading UK researchers, vets and farmers have urged ministers to free livestock science of unnecessary legal curbs as the country prepares, post-Brexit, to ease gene-editing rules. Such a move would allow the creation of new breeds of animals resistant to disease, heat and drought, they argue.

The government is expected to propose easing gene-editing restrictions in the near future to enable the creation of new generations of crops. However, the group – which has written to the environment secretary, George Eustice – worries there is less interest in using the technology to create new breeds of pigs, cows and poultry.

“It is every bit as important that we use the enormous power of gene editing to create breeds of animals that are resistant to disease, droughts and heatwaves as it is to fashion new crop varieties,” said Professor Bruce Whitelaw of Edinburgh’s Roslin Institute. “This is particularly important as global warming intensifies and we strive to ensure we are protected against future outbreaks of zoonotic diseases.”

The value of gene editing in this latter field is shown by work carried out at Roslin and Imperial College London, where scientists have identified a gene that may confer resistance to influenza. “We can now think about using gene editing to create breeds resistant to avian and swine flu, and so curb outbreaks on farms, while also reducing the risk of triggering future pandemics in humans,” added Whitelaw, one of the letter’s signatories.

In the future, beef may stop being just beef.

There may come a time where every edible sold in supermarkets will be some form of mRNA “vaccine.”

But I’m sure you’re going to know in advance.

Part of this entire program is that you have to choose to join this cult.

I wouldn’t be worried that your food is going to turn into vaccines without your knowledge.

Scientists Announce Upcoming Gene Therapy Injection That “Chops Up the Virus” in Infected People https://www.anglinarchive.com/2021/07/15/scientists-announce-upcoming-gene-therapy-injection-that-chops-up-the-virus-in-infected-people/ Thu, 15 Jul 2021 00:00:00 +0000

Chop ’em if ya got ’em.

AFP:

Scientists have used CRISPR gene-editing technology to successfully block the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in infected human cells, according to research released Tuesday that could pave the way for Covid-19 treatments.

Writing in the journal Nature Communications, researchers in Australia said the tool was effective against viral transmissions in lab tests, adding that they hoped to begin animal trials soon.

CRISPR, which allows scientists to alter DNA sequences and modify gene function, has already shown promise in eliminating the genetic coding that drives the development of children’s cancer.

The team in Tuesday’s study used an enzyme, CRISPR-Cas13b, that binds to relevant RNA sequences on the novel coronavirus and degrades the genome it needs to replicate inside human cells.

Lead author Sharon Lewin from Australia’s Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity told AFP that the team had designed the CRISPR tool to recognise SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsibly for Covid-19.

“Once the virus is recognised, the CRISPR enzyme is activated and chops up the virus,” she said.

“We targeted several parts of the virus -– parts that are very stable and don’t change and parts that are highly changeable — and all worked very well in chopping up the virus.”

The technique also succeeded in stopping viral replication in samples of so-called “variants of concern” such as Alpha.

Although there are several Covid-19 vaccines already on the market, available treatment options are still relatively scarce and only partially effective.

…

Lewin said that using the CRISPR technique in widely available medicine was probably “years, not months” away.

People are trying to say the vaccine somehow “is not gene therapy.”

Well, now they’re saying they’re going to use CRISPR on you.

I don’t think anyone is going to say that’s not gene therapy.

Instead, they will just say “well, gene therapy for the deadly pandemic is good.”
