The Netherlands’ right-wing government said on Wednesday it would seek to opt out from the European Union’s migration rules if and when the bloc next renegotiates its core treaties – even though this is unlikely to happen any time soon.

In power since July, the government led by Geert Wilders’ nationalist, anti-Islam PVV party has said it wants to clamp down on unwanted arrivals and aims for the “strictest-ever asylum regime“, with stronger border checks and harsher rules for arriving asylum-seekers.

“I just informed @EU_commission that I want a migration opt-out for the Netherlands within Europe,” PVV Asylum and Migration Minister Marjolein Faber said on X.

“We need to be in charge of our own asylum policy again!”, Faber said, in words reminiscent of similar, immigration-focused political slogans in Britain and elsewhere in recent years.

However, the official letter Faber sent to the European Commission is more nuanced and shows the Netherlands is not trying to opt out now from the EU’s newly agreed immigration pact, which was years in the making and entered into force in June, but hopes to do so at a later stage.

No EU treaty change is expected any time soon, however.

Faber made clear that the Netherlands would meanwhile implement the pact, saying it was “essential” for limiting the influx of migrants.

The European Commission promptly responded that it did not expect any changes to asylum rules soon, and welcomed the fact that Faber had pledged to abide by the existing ones.

Under the pact, each EU country will be assigned a share – proportional to economy and population – of the total 30,000 asylum-seekers that the bloc is expected to take in per year. Rights groups say this number, based on the number of irregular border crossings and sea rescues, is too low.

Yeah, that number’s gonna go up really quickly.

The Netherlands has had below replacement rate fertility since 1973, when the population was just above 13 million.

Geert Wilders, the Dutch populist whose anti-Islam comments have led to death threats, could become the next leader of the Netherlands following an election upset for his Freedom Party (PVV) on Wednesday.

After 25 years in Dutch politics without holding office, Wilders was set to lead coalition government talks and has a good chance of becoming prime minister.

An exit poll on Wednesday evening showed the PVV in a clear lead, 10 seats ahead of its closest rival, Frans Timmermans’ Labour/Green Left combination.

“We will have to find ways to live up to the hopes of our voters, to put the Dutch back as number one”, Wilders said in his first response, adding that “the Netherlands will be returned to the Dutch, the asylum tsunami and migration will be curbed.”

Wilders was convicted for discrimination against Moroccans after leading a chant at a campaign rally in 2014, when he asked the crowd whether they wanted more, or fewer Moroccans. After supporters chanted “Fewer!” he answered: “We’re going to take care of that.”

Wilders said in 2021, when the Supreme Court upheld his conviction, that he was the victim of a “witch hunt” and a broken legal system.

Having made strongly anti-EU comments in the past, he moderated his tone over the election campaign as he sought to get his party into government. He will have to work with pro-EU parties to form a coalition.

But he kept to his strict anti-immigration, Dutch-first approach, winning his PVV its largest support in its 17-year existence.

What did he say about the vax?

“It’s enough now. The Netherlands can’t take it anymore. We have to think about our own people first now. Borders closed. Zero asylum-seekers,” Wilders said in a television debate on the eve of the election.

“Wilders is by far the best campaigner. Even his political opponents will admit that,” author Willem Post of the Netherlands’ Clingendael Institute think-tank said.

The Dutch state was wrong to restrict family reunification of asylum seekers and must amend its policy to allow immediate safe passage for family members of those granted asylum within the country, a Dutch court ruled on Monday.

A judge in Haarlem issued a preliminary injunction against the government’s practice of temporarily limiting the number of asylum seekers’ family members permitted to enter the Netherlands, claiming the measure had no legal basis and, in fact, contravened Dutch asylum laws and two provisions of the European Family Reunification Directive.

The ruling came in the case of 47-year old Syrian national, Fakhria Al Mullaabid, a refugee who has been granted a residency permit in the Netherlands; she appealed against the government’s decision to delay permitting the arrival of her six children currently staying in a Sudanese refugee camp for up to six months, unless they could find suitable accommodation in the Netherlands ahead of time.

The Dutch coalition government had introduced the six-month restriction on the entry of family members of asylum seekers in an attempt to ease constraints on the asylum process and limit the number of arrivals into the country. The Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND), which reports to State Secretary Eric van der Burg, announced the delay to family reunification in August, admitting at the time that the “painful measure was not taken lightly.”

However, the court in Haarlem ruled the move unlawful and insisted that the claimant’s family members be allowed to enter the country with temporary residence permits within 24 hours, a decision the Dutch immigration office has since said will be respected.

Dutch conservatives have criticized the decision, with Party for Freedom (PVV) Chairman Geert Wilders accusing liberal judges of giving “presents to asylum seekers” and calling the ruling “insane.”

Asylum cases in the Netherlands have skyrocketed this year, giving the Dutch government a headache over how best to respond to the influx.

The IND revealed last month that it expected the number of applications filed by the end of the year to reach between 48,200 and 55,700.

The rise in the number of applications has had a domino effect on the processing time of applications, with a statement from the IND in November explaining:

“A similar number of new asylum applications will be taken into account next year, further increasing the number of decisions to be made. The legal decision period has recently been temporarily extended from 6 to 15 months.”

A Pakistani migrant male has been jailed for ten years in the Netherlands for his plot to launch a terror attack against Dutch firebrand Geert Wilders in revenge for his organising a ‘draw Mohammad’ free speech event.

The ten-year sentence for the Pakistani male — identified in the trial only as ‘Junaid I.’ due to Dutch privacy laws — is significantly higher than the six years requested by the public prosecutor, the judges in the case noting a longer period of incarceration was required because of the seriousness of the crime.

The seriousness of the crime is coming from the fact that Wilders is most likely a Mossad agent.

Not just someone who pays lip service to save himself some trouble, but just a straight-up true-believing Israel firster.

Also one that said he didn’t mind foreigners invading his country so long as they’re OK with man-on-man buttsex.

The court had previously heard how Junaid had repeatedly said he wanted to kill Geert Wilders, whose Party for Freedom is the second largest in the Netherlands, that he beleived the death of Mr Wilders would be a good thing, and that the attention he was gaining from the trial was improving his public standing back home in Pakistan. For these reasons and because he believed Junaid still presented a terrorism risk, the judges in the case said a longer sentence was in order.

Junaid I. argued throughout the trial that he had not wanted to kill Mr Wilders, but rather had travelled to the Netherlands from Pakistan to protest against the lawmaker, reports Algemeen Dagblad. Despite the claims, the court had previously found the 27-year-old guilty of preparing a terror attack, and his intention to murder Mr Wilders.

Flying halfway across the planet to “protest” someone saying mean things about the gibberish some schizophrenic pedophile made up makes you look a lot worse than trying to outright kill him.

The apparent flashpoint for Junaid was a draw Mohammed cartoon competition being organised by Mr Wilders in the Netherlands in 2018, which was cancelled for security reasons around the time of the arrest of the Pakistani migrant. The Pakistani government issued a statement celebrating the cancellation at the time, the nation’s senate having already passed a resolution to condemn the event.

Cartoons of Mohammed, who is considered to be a holy prophet in the Islamic faith and who it is blasphemous to depict in any form, have become a flashpoint between freedom of speech activists and those otherwise concerned by the broader Islamisation of Western society on one hand and religious fundamentalists on the other hand who have reacted with extreme violence to cartoons.

In 2015 11 cartoonists, writers, and editors at French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo were murdered at their place of work by Muslim gunmen in a revenge attack over the paper’s occasional publishing of satirical cartoons of Mohammed. Later the same year, a freedom of speech event in Copenhagen featuring an artist who had made cartoons of Mohammed was targeted in a shooting, the attacker going on to continue his rampage at the city’s Jewish museum.

Again in 2015, a free speech event in Garland, Texas featuring a draw Mohammed competition and attended by Geert Wilders was targeted by Muslim extremists who were killed by law enforcement.

Speaking to Breitbart London after the Garland attack, Wilders said of his determination to stick to his freedom of expression principles: “We should do exactly what it is terrorists want to stop us from doing – otherwise the message we send to terrorists is that violence and the threat of violence can be effective. And this cannot be the case… We should use the paper and pen to win over those who use guns.

The Netherlands’ ruling People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy has won the majority of seats in parliamentary elections held on Wednesday, according to exit polls and unofficial counts. Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom is tied second with two other parties.

The People Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) has secured 31 out of 150 seats in the Dutch parliamentary elections, according to the first exit polls released by national broadcaster NOS. According to the unofficial partial vote count conducted by the national ANP news agency, VVD is poised to win 32 seats.

“This poll shows that people trust us,” Tamara van Ark, VVD campaign manager said, according to NOS.

The VVD’s main rival, the right-wing PVV movement led by Wilders secured 19 seats in the house of representatives.

This was, effectively, a referendum on both Islamization and the EU, which are part of the same Jew-globalist white genocide package, and the people decided they support it.

It’s a difficult thing for me, as the decision was so cut and dry. It was a straightforward proposal.

Netherlands has said: “We want to be destroyed.”

Of course, we can be certain that the tipping vote was on nonwhites and women, but we in the US had a worse situation with those factors involved and still pulled off a Trump win.

However, the Netherlands is an extreme country. It has been degenerate for a very long time. I don’t think this speaks for the rest of Europe. It’s also a small country and this doesn’t really matter in a practical sense. They are not especially influential.

The difficult part is that this was supposed to be a foreshadowing of the French election, which is going to be very difficult for Le Pen in the second round. If Netherlands had voted for Wilders, it would have given hesitant French voters “permission” to do the same.

The upshot is that Geert Wilders will not be setting the nationalist narrative for Europe. He was an extreme pro-Jew figure, and his win would have meant others would follow suit with the pro-Jew narrative.

Le Pen is a bit different on that front (PUN INTENDED LOL]. She has changed the party line to be more pro-Jew, but the party was founded on anti-Semitism and many members still are anti-Semitic. The pro-Jew stuff is looked at as purely PR on her part.

So if she wins first, that will set a better standard of victory than Wilders would have.

Marine Le Pen’s rival has congratulated Mark Rutte’s election victory over nationalist Geert Wilders in the Dutch election, as world leaders welcome the result.

French, German and EU leaders welcomed Mr Rutte’s victory signalling the election is a blow to populism and the rise of Marine Le Pen.

Centrist Emmanuel Macron, tipped by most polls to end up in a second-round runoff against Front National’s Marine Le Pen in the upcoming French presidential election, said the Dutch election was a warning to the right.

Mr Macron said: “The Netherlands is showing us a breakthrough for the extreme right is not a foregone conclusion and that progressives are gaining momentum.”

Outgoing French president Francois Hollande congratulated Mr Rutte on his victory in an election watched closely by Europe ahead of France’s presidential ballot.

Mr Hollande said: “The President warmly congratulates Mark Rutte for his clear victory against extremism.”

France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault tweeted: “Congratulations to the Dutch for stemming the rise of the far-right.”

Dutch centre-right Mr Rutte scored a victory over Geert Wilders despite losing a number of seats, offering relief to other governments across Europe facing a wave of nationalism.

Mr Rutte declared it an “evening in which the Netherlands, after Brexit, after the American elections, said ‘stop’ to the wrong kind of populism.”

This is some new meme I’ve seen over the last week – “the wrong kind of populism.”

There can never be such a thing as “multicultural populism,” and their certainly can’t be a pro-sexual pervert and multicultural populism. It is an oxymoron.

The concept of populism is to appeal to the majority – that is to say the dominant culture – and the concept of multiculturalism is to deny the existence of the majority and the dominant culture, to destroy it.

The progressive agenda necessitates war against the people themselves by the government. There is no possibility of “populism” there.

So, what is the “right kind of populism”?

Because whatever you want to say about Islam, it is that.

I think what happened is that they realized that attacking populism as a negative phenomenon was counterproductive propaganda. People are just like “yeah but why would you be against that tho?”

So now they pretend that there is some other kind that they think isn’t bad.

The thing is: that is Islam.

The election was seen as the first of three big tests this year of anti-establishment sentiment in the EU with France and Germany also set to go to the polls.

France chooses its next president, with Ms Le Pen set to make the second-round run-off in May, while in September right-wing eurosceptic party Alternative for Germany, which has attacked Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open-door refugee policy, will probably win its first lower house seats.

Team Merkel appeared overjoyed at Mr Rutte’s victory, with the German Chancellor calling Mr Rutte to congratulate him.

Mrs Merkel told Mr Rutte she looked forward to “good cooperation as friends, neighbours and Europeans.”

She said: “The Netherlands are our partners, friends, neighbours. Therefore I was very happy that a high turnout led to a very pro-European result, a clear signal.

“And that after days in which the Netherlands had to tolerate accusations and reproaches from Turkey which are totally unacceptable… It was a good day for democracy.”

Peter Altmaier, the German Chancellery chief of staff, tweeted: “The Netherlands you are a champion. We love Orange for your actions and what you do.”

SPD chancellor candidate, Martin Schulz, said the Dutch had given a clear rejection of “the agitation of Geert Wilders and his unspeakable attitude towards entire population groups”.

He said: ”This is good news for Europe and for the Netherlands.”

The European Parliament also welcomed the vote as European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker said the election was “a vote against extremists”.

Mr Juncker said the result was “an inspiration for many”.

He said: ”The people of the Netherlands voted overwhelmingly for the values Europe stands for: free and tolerant societies in a prosperous Europe.

“Let us build a strong Europe together.”

“Together with the foreign hordes.”

The Dutch tested their own tolerance for immigration and Islam on Wednesday in an election magnified by a furious row with Turkey, the first of three polls in the European Union this year where nationalist parties are seeking breakthroughs.

The center-right VVD party of Prime Minister Mark Rutte, 50, is vying with the PVV (Party for Freedom) of anti-Islam and anti-EU firebrand Geert Wilders, 53, to form the biggest party in parliament.

As many as 13 million voters began casting ballots at polling stations across the country that will close at 2000 GMT. A charged campaign, plus clear skies and sunshine meant high turnout was expected. National broadcaster NOS said that by 0930 GMT in the morning, turnout was at 15 percent, 2 percent ahead of the previous parliamentary election in 2012.

With as many as four out of 10 voters undecided a day before voting and a tight margin of just 4 percent between leading candidates, the outcome was unpredictable.

Wilders, who has vowed to “de-Islamicise” the Netherlands, has little chance of forming a government given that other leading parties have ruled out working with him. But a first place PVV finish would still send shockwaves across Europe.

The vote is the first gauge this year of anti-establishment sentiment in the European Union and the bloc’s chances of survival after the 2016 surprise victory of “America First” presidential candidate Donald Trump in the United States and Britain’s vote to exit the EU.

The prospect of Geert Wilders emerging as the winner of Wednesday’s Dutch election was thrown into doubt by two polls on the eve of voting that showed his anti-Islam, anti-European Union Freedom Party slumping to fifth place in one survey and third in another.

The final poll from I&O Research showed Wilders’s party on 16 seats in the 150-member lower house of parliament, down four seats from a survey released just the day before. The last Ipsos survey before the election gave the Freedom Party 20 seats, a drop of three from last week. Both polls showed Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s Liberals gaining three seats — to 27 and 29 respectively.
