You can’t actually “recycle” plastic.

It doesn’t just like, melt down and get poured in a new mold or something.

It’s a total fraud. After people saying this for decades and those stupid recycling bins being put everywhere still, the mainstream media finally admitted the whole thing was a scam earlier this year.

This is a highly toxic process which adds a whole bunch of new toxins to the plastic, makes it much less stable, allowing it to leech even more into the environment.

Children put these toys in their mouths, by the way. Just so you understand.

Reuters:

Toymaker Lego said on Wednesday it was on track to replace the fossil fuels used in making its signature bricks with more expensive renewable and recycled plastic by 2032 after signing deals with producers to secure long-term supply.

Lego, which sells billions of plastic bricks annually, has tested over 600 different materials to develop a new material that would completely replace its oil-based brick by 2030, but with limited success.

Now, Lego is aiming to gradually bring down the oil content in its bricks by paying up to 70% more for certified renewable resin, the raw plastic used to manufacture the bricks, in an attempt to encourage manufacturers to boost production.

“This means a significant increase in the cost of producing a Lego brick,” CEO Niels Christiansen told Reuters.

…

“With a family-owner committed to sustainability, it’s a privilege that we can pay extra for the raw materials without having to charge customers extra,” Christiansen said.

…

Lego’s suppliers are using bio-waste such as cooking oil or food industry waste fat as well as recycled materials to replace virgin fossil fuels in plastic production.

I think this is mostly just a scam for Lego to charge even more.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Lego knock-offs are actually much better quality and have some much funner models.

I don’t know why people don’t use those instead.

“Fossil” Fuel Companies Could Be Tried for Homicide Over “Climate-Related” Deaths https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/03/22/fossil-fuel-companies-could-be-tried-for-homicide-over-climate-related-deaths/ Fri, 22 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000

We can’t allow the fossil fuelers to continue to commit mass murder by changing the weather.

The Guardian:

Each year, extreme temperatures take 5 million lives, while 400,000 people die from climate-related hunger and disease and scores perish in floods and wildfires.

Now, researchers are promoting a new legal theory that says fossil fuel companies – which, data show, are the leading contributors to planet-heating pollution – could be tried for homicide for climate-related deaths.

The radical idea, first proposed last year by consumer advocacy non-profit Public Citizen, may sound far-fetched, but it’s gaining interest from experts and public officials.

“We’ve been really excited to see the curiosity, interest and support these ideas have garnered from members of the legal community, including from both former and current federal, state and local prosecutors,” said Aaron Regunberg, senior policy counsel with Public Citizen’s climate program.

The Public Citizen researchers are currently holding events at top law schools including Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, University of Chicago and New York University to promote the idea.

“I strongly support the effort to go after these bastards,” Christopher Rabb, a Pennsylvania state representative said at a recent UPenn event. The researchers say other public officials have expressed interest behind the scenes as well.

The proposal, which will soon be published in the Harvard Law Review, stems in part from the growing body of evidence that the fossil fuel industry hid information about the dangers of fossil fuel use from the public. Those revelations have inspired 40 lawsuits alleging big oil has violated tort, product liability and consumer protection laws and engaged in racketeering.

In addition to those civil lawsuits, fossil fuel companies should also face criminal charges, the researchers say.

“Criminal law is how we say what is right and wrong in our society,” said David Arkush, who directs Public Citizen’s climate program and co-authored the paper on the proposal. “I think it’s important that some of the most damaging conduct in human history be squarely recognized and pursued as criminal.”

There are a range of statutes that could criminalize fossil fuel companies’ climate conduct, the researchers say. Many of the civil claims facing oil companies, such as conspiracy and racketeering, have criminal counterparts, and other laws could be used to criminalize conduct that could inflict future harms, such as reckless endangerment. But the claim that could capture the sector’s gravest harms, the researchers say, is homicide.

Because oil companies fought to delay climate action despite knowing about global warming, there is a case to be made that they committed reckless or negligent homicide, according to Public Citizen.

“It’s well within the four signposts of the law that you ought to be able to bring one of these cases,” said Arkush. “We’ve talked to dozens of criminal law professors across the country, we’ve talked to former prosecutors, former department of justice prosecutors, and no one really has anything to say about us being wrong on the law.”

This sounds insane now, but remember that no one believed child trannies were really being normalized for the first five years.

They come up with this stuff, publish it in the Guardian, then a few years later it starts happening in real life.

Nearly 200 Countries Agree to Transition Away from “Fossil” Fuels at COP28 Summit https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/12/14/nearly-200-countries-agree-to-transition-away-from-fossil-fuels-at-cop28-summit/ Thu, 14 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0000

This is similar to the “Abraham Accords,” where Jared Kushner realized that you can actually just bribe politicians into signing deals.

The white countries don’t need to be bribed, because apparently, white people believe in global warming so strongly that they are willing to poison the earth with chemicals that will basically never go away through all of these “green energy” scams.

If you look at any of this stuff – specifically solar and wind power – it is all just a totally irresponsible poisoning of the earth, which is only possible because the people doing it claim to be saving the earth from carbon. Carbon is natural and helpful and “the gas of life.” But they’ve just lied about it for so long, people will believe whatever.

Brown countries don’t care, and Asians are smart enough to realize it’s a scam, so the plan was to bribe them all. That’s what John Kerry has been working on since he left politics.

The Guardian:

Nearly 200 countries at the Cop28 climate summit have agreed to a deal that for the first time calls on all nations to transition away from fossil fuels to avert the worst effects of climate change.

After two weeks of at times fractious negotiations in the United Arab Emirates, the agreement was quickly gavelled through by the Cop28 president, Sultan Al Jaber, on Wednesday morning. He received an ovation from delegates and a hug from the UN climate chief, Simon Stiell.

Despite the urging of more than 130 countries and scientists and civil society groups, the agreement did not include an explicit commitment to phase out or even phase down fossil fuels.

Instead, it reached a compromise that called on countries to contribute to global efforts to transition “away from fossil fuels in energy systems in a just, orderly and equitable manner, accelerating action in this critical decade, so as to achieve net zero by 2050 in keeping with the science”.

Remember that this is the same “the science” that drove the coronavirus theories.

It’s “science” funded by political organizations for political reasons.

Al Jaber argued that the deal, reached in the hottest year on record, was a comprehensive response to a global stocktake that found countries were failing to live up to the goals of the landmark Paris climate agreement, particularly a commitment to try to limit global heating to 1.5C (2.7F) above preindustrial levels.

“We have delivered a robust action plan to keep 1.5C in reach,” he said. “It is an enhanced, balanced, but make no mistake, a historic package to accelerate climate action. It is the UAE consensus. We have language on fossil fuel in our final agreement for the first time ever.”

Countries from the global south and climate justice advocates said the text fell short of what was needed on emissions reductions and finance to help the most vulnerable cope with worsening extreme weather and heat, and included language that appeared to placate fossil fuel interests.

There was confusion in the plenary hall shortly after the agreement was passed as many parties had assumed there would be a debate over the text. The Alliance of Small Island States, representing 39 countries, said it had not been in the room when the deal was adopted as it was still coordinating its response.

Its lead negotiator, Anne Rasmussen, from Samoa, did not formally object to the agreement and believed the deal had good elements, but said the “the process has failed us” and the text included a “litany of loopholes”. “We have made an incremental advancement over business as usual when what we really needed is an exponential step change in our actions and support,” she said. Her speech was met with a standing ovation.

Most praise for the deal focused on the call to transition away from coal, oil and gas. Prof Johan Rockström, of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany, said: “No, the Cop28 agreement will not enable the world to hold the 1.5C limit, but yes, the result is a pivotal landmark. This agreement delivers on making it clear to all financial institutions, businesses and societies that we are now finally – eight years behind the Paris schedule – at the true ‘beginning of the end’ of the fossil fuel-driven world economy.”

The UN secretary general, António Guterres, tweeted: “Whether you like it or not, fossil fuel phase-out is inevitable. Let’s hope it doesn’t come too late.”

The bulbous man says, as children are getting shot point blank in schools in Gaza.

Just think about this logically: if it really was going to raise the temperature, globally, by 1.5°C (and it’s not, but if it was) – what difference would it make?

Would it be worth destroying the world over?

Would it be worth surrendering the global economy to a group of criminals?

Cop28 President Says There’s No Science Behind Phasing Out Fossil Fuels https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/12/03/cop28-president-says-theres-no-science-behind-phasing-out-fossil-fuels/ Sun, 03 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Yeah.

I know.

We all know.

The Guardian:

The president of Cop28, Sultan Al Jaber, has claimed there is “no science” indicating that a phase-out of fossil fuels is needed to restrict global heating to 1.5C, the Guardian and the Centre for Climate Reporting can reveal.

Al Jaber also said a phase-out of fossil fuels would not allow sustainable development “unless you want to take the world back into caves”.

Sultan Al Jaber

The comments were “incredibly concerning” and “verging on climate denial”, scientists said, and they were at odds with the position of the UN secretary general, António Guterres.

Al Jaber made the comments in ill-tempered responses to questions from Mary Robinson, the chair of the Elders group and a former UN special envoy for climate change, during a live online event on 21 November. As well as running Cop28 in Dubai, Al Jaber is also the chief executive of the United Arab Emirates’ state oil company, Adnoc, which many observers see as a serious conflict of interest.

More than 100 countries already support a phase-out of fossil fuels and whether the final Cop28 agreement calls for this or uses weaker language such as “phase-down” is one of the most fiercely fought issues at the summit and may be the key determinant of its success. Deep and rapid cuts are needed to bring fossil fuel emissions to zero and limit fast-worsening climate impacts.

Al Jaber spoke with Robinson at a She Changes Climate event. Robinson said: “We’re in an absolute crisis that is hurting women and children more than anyone … and it’s because we have not yet committed to phasing out fossil fuel. That is the one decision that Cop28 can take and in many ways, because you’re head of Adnoc, you could actually take it with more credibility.”

Al Jaber said: “I accepted to come to this meeting to have a sober and mature conversation. I’m not in any way signing up to any discussion that is alarmist. There is no science out there, or no scenario out there, that says that the phase-out of fossil fuel is what’s going to achieve 1.5C.”

Robinson challenged him further, saying: “I read that your company is investing in a lot more fossil fuel in the future.” Al Jaber responded: “You’re reading your own media, which is biased and wrong. I am telling you I am the man in charge.”

Al Jaber then said: “Please help me, show me the roadmap for a phase-out of fossil fuel that will allow for sustainable socioeconomic development, unless you want to take the world back into caves.”

“I don’t think [you] will be able to help solve the climate problem by pointing fingers or contributing to the polarisation and the divide that is already happening in the world. Show me the solutions. Stop the pointing of fingers. Stop it,” Al Jaber said.

Guterres told Cop28 delegates on Friday: “The science is clear: The 1.5C limit is only possible if we ultimately stop burning all fossil fuels. Not reduce, not abate. Phase out, with a clear timeframe.”

They can just say this… and nothing happens.

We do not live in a reality-based system.

America to Literally Suck Carbon Dioxide Out of the Air in Evil Plot to End Life on Earth https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/11/28/america-to-literally-suck-carbon-dioxide-out-of-the-air-in-evil-plot-to-end-life-on-earth/ Tue, 28 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Net Zero: The World Economic Forum touts ‘carbon removal plants’—each of which removes five million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere each year—as “crucial to meeting global climate goals”, despite the fact that CO2 currently makes up just 0.04% of the atmosphere, and if it drops… pic.twitter.com/0upMDmSvhT

— Wide Awake Media (@wideawake_media) November 23, 2023

There has never been any attempt to prove that CO2 causes warming.

There is no evidence for the theory. What they have is a bunch of fake graphs, and a “scientific consensus” from “climatologists.” Climatology is a fake science invented by the UN to promote the theory of global warming.

However, despite skipping the step of proving global warming is real, the government has decided to take the extraordinary step of geo-engineering the planet, sucking carbon out of the atmosphere.

This will probably kill all life on earth.

Reuters:

In Texas, oil and gas producer Occidental Petroleum is constructing a giant facility to suck 500,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere annually to keep it from warming the climate, a project backed by hundreds of millions of dollars from investment firm BlackRock.

BlackRock, eh?

Interesting.

In Louisiana, a consortium of companies that includes Swiss firm Climeworks is teaming up to build a similar facility that can pull a million metric tons of the greenhouse gas out of the sky each year, boosted by hundreds of millions of dollars in grants from the U.S. government.

The direct air capture (DAC) projects are in neighboring states, but the companies leading them are worlds away when it comes to their views on how carbon removal – an expensive and largely unproven family of technologies to fight or even reverse global warming – should be deployed in a climate-friendly future and the role oil and gas should play in its deployment.

Occidental says some of its carbon would be injected into oil fields to ramp up pressure and raise crude production – a strategy it says that can cleanse the world’s future fossil fuel consumption of climate impact.

Climeworks and its partner Heirloom, meanwhile, says its carbon will go straight into underground storage, and that the technology must go hand in hand with a transition to renewable energy.

The clashing philosophies mirror a global debate underway over the role carbon removal technologies should play to keep the world from exceeding a 1.5 degree Celsius rise that will take center stage at the 28th United Nations climate change conference in Dubai on Nov. 30-Dec. 12.

…

The IEA says DAC would have to capture as much as 1 billion metric tons annually by 2050 if the world is to hit its decarbonization targets, a massive scale-up from the 10,000 metric tons it removes currently.

A major concern is that DAC technology is both expensive and unproven at scale. Capturing carbon using DAC costs somewhere between $600 and $1,000 for each metric ton, mainly because of the huge amount of energy required to run the equipment.

There are two commercial DAC facilities now in operation – a Climeworks project in Iceland that can capture just 4,000 metric tons of CO2 a year and Heirloom’s project in California that can capture 1,000 metric tons annually, with the rest of the emissions removed by DAC attributed to small pilot projects.

More than 100 other DAC projects are at various stages of development, but it is unclear how many will be completed or when, or how they would survive financially.

You know, if you wanted to remove CO2, you could just plant trees.

All living things on earth are “carbon-based lifeforms,” and trees use the carbon in the air to grow.

That has never been suggested.

A person looks at stacks of trays holding treated limestone, used to absorb CO2 from the air, at Heirloom’s new plant in Tracy, California.

98% of People in Europe Breathing Toxic Air, Experts Demanding Urgent Action https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/09/20/98-of-people-in-europe-breathing-toxic-air-experts-demanding-urgent-action/ Wed, 20 Sep 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Related: Study Shows Almost Everyone in Europe is Poisoned with High Amounts of BPA

The real problem though is that carbon dioxide (what plants breathe) is going to make the weather 3 degrees warmer thirty years from now.

That’s what we really need to be focusing on: the baseless theory that carbon is a pollutant.

Unfortunately, that means we have to ignore the actual poisonous particulate in the air. Only the Guardian will report on it, because NYT and WaPo have to focus on figuring out how to change the weather.

The Guardian:

Europe is facing a “severe public health crisis”, with almost everyone across the continent living in areas with dangerous levels of air pollution, an investigation by the Guardian has found.

Analysis of data gathered using cutting-edge methodology – including detailed satellite images and measurements from more than 1,400 ground monitoring stations – reveals a dire picture of dirty air, with 98% of people living in areas with highly damaging fine particulate pollution that exceed World Health Organization guidelines. Almost two-thirds live in areas where air quality is more than double the WHO’s guidelines.

The worst hit country in Europe is North Macedonia. Almost two-thirds of people across the country live in areas with more than four times the WHO guidelines for PM2.5, while four areas were found to have air pollution almost six times the figure, including in its capital, Skopje.

Source

Eastern Europe is significantly worse than western Europe, apart from Italy, where more than a third of those living in the Po valley and surrounding areas in the north of the country breath air that is four times the WHO figure for the most dangerous airborne particulates.

The Guardian worked with pollution experts to produce an interactive map revealing the worst-hit areas on the continent. The measurements refer to PM2.5 – tiny airborne particles mostly produced from the burning of fossil fuels, some of which can pass through the lungs and into the blood stream, affecting almost every organ in the body. The current WHO guidelines state that annual average concentrations of PM2.5 should not exceed 5 micrograms a cubic metre (µg/m3). The new analysis found only 2% of the population of Europe live in areas within this limit. Experts say PM2.5 pollution causes about 400,000 deaths a year across the continent.

“This is a severe public health crisis,” said Roel Vermeulen, a professor of environmental epidemiology at Utrecht University who led the team of researchers across the continent that compiled the data. “What we see quite clearly is that nearly everyone in Europe is breathing unhealthy air.”

…

Traffic, industry, domestic heating and agriculture are the main sources of PM2.5 and the impact is often felt disproportionately by the poorest communities.

Air pollution has become a key issue in Europe, with the EU coming under pressure to do more to tackle the growing public health crisis. Last week, the European parliament voted to adopt the WHO guidelines on PM2.5 by 2035. The law, which must still be finalised in negotiations with the council, would set a legally binding limit for annual PM2.5 concentrations of 5µg/m3, down from 25µg/m3 today.

But experts say urgent action needs taking now. They point to a growing body of evidence that shows air pollution affects almost every organ in the body and is linked to a huge range of health problems from heart and lung disease to cancer and diabetes, depression and mental illness to cognitive impairment and low birth weight.

One recent study found air pollution was responsible for 1 million stillbirths a year, another that young people living in cities already have billions of toxic air pollution particles in their hearts.

This could actually be exaggerated, I don’t know.

But seriously: industrial civilization has caused serious environmental problems. Carbon dioxide is not one of those problems.

And yet.

And yet.

We can’t possibly use this.

We have to have African slave children mine it for us.

That’s our values.

We’re changing the weather.

New York Post:

A lithium deposit discovered in a volcanic crater along the Nevada-Oregon border may hold up to 40 million metric tons of the rare metal — possibly the largest ever in the world, which could have a massive impact on the electric vehicle industry, according to a new study.

The deposit hidden within the McDermitt Caldera is estimated to hold between 20 million and 40 million metric tons, which would be nearly double the current record of about 23 million metric tons found over the summer beneath a Bolivian salt flat, researchers reported in Science Advances.

It would also greatly boost America’s overall lithium reserves, which were previously estimated at a paltry 1 million metric tons.

Belgian geologist Anouk Borst said that if the estimate proves true, the sudden overabundance of American lithium — the metal sought after by electric vehicle makers — could have global impacts.

“It could change the dynamics of lithium globally, in terms of price, security of supply and geopolitics,” Borst told Chemistry World. “The US would have its own supply of lithium and industries would be less scared about supply shortages.”

Electric vehicle makers have bemoaned estimates that “white gold” supplies will fall short by 2025, with China, the US and several South American countries vying to locate large deposits to meet the increasing demand.

Paul A. Jacobson, GM’s chief financial officer, told investors mid-June that they “already have that risk” of not getting enough lithium, explaining that GM has bought stakes in mining operations.

…

The rush to acquire the white gold has also been exacerbated by President Biden’s clean energy agenda, which calls for EVs to make up about 50% of all cars sold by 2030.

The administration has pushed for investing $7.5 billion in EV charging stations around the nation.

Really getting tired of this EV gibberish.

Lithium mining is an environmental disaster, and we honestly should just leave it to the African slave children.

We should be mining coal and drilling oil to power our own economy. If people want EVs (only a small portion of weirdos want them), they can buy them from the Chinese.

Honestly, I never really cared about environmentalism, but this “green energy” agenda is so threatening to the environment that it’s made me reconsider the whole thing.

We do need to be concerned about the environment, and we need to be protecting it from these green energy people.

America doesn’t need any more lithium mines.

It’s very clear: we need to cut the tits off of teenage girls, we need to fight world war with Russia and China, and we need to give trillions of dollars to brown people to change the weather.

The path to utopia is laid out before us, like some nigga been laid out.

The choice is yours: do you want to live in a perfected world?

The Guardian:

The world must rethink its approach to the climate crisis, by investing trillions of dollars instead of billions in the developing world, and moving beyond conventional ideas of overseas aid, one of the world’s most influential climate economists has urged.

“We need a complete rethink of the whole nexus of climate, debt and development,” Avinash Persaud told the Observer, before a key summit. “What we are seeing today is new – countries affected by climate disaster, this is happening now. Countries are drowning.”

Avinash Persaud is drowning in calories

He called for a tripling of the finance available from the World Bank and similar institutions, and a huge influx of cash from the private sector, driven by the careful use of public funds and regulation to remove the current barriers to investment. “This is the biggest financial opportunity in the world,” he said.

Persaud is economic adviser to Mia Mottley, the prime minister of Barbados, who is co-hosting a meeting of world leaders this week with French president Emmanuel Macron. More than 50 heads of state and government are expected to attend the summit in Paris this Thursday and Friday, including Lula da Silva of Brazil, Germany’s Olaf Scholtz and the Chinese premier Li Qiang.

Mia Mottley, coincidentally, is also drowning in calories

Rishi Sunak is likely to snub the conference. Joe Biden is sending his climate envoy, John Kerry.

In Paris, Mottley and Persaud will set out the “Bridgetown agenda”, named after the Barbados capital where it was first mooted last year. They will call for debt relief for some of the poorest nations facing climate catastrophe, a tripling of funding from the world’s multilateral development banks, including the World Bank, and new taxes to fund climate action, including, potentially, a levy on shipping.

Work by the distinguished UK economist Nicholas Stern, and Vera Songwe, last year found that about $2tn a year would be needed to transform the economies of developing countries to cut emissions and enable them to deal with the effects of extreme weather. While this sum seems large, it is not much greater than the investment that is currently poured into fossil fuels and high-carbon infrastructure.

Persaud breaks this down further, estimating that about $1.4tn a year will be needed from mainly the private sector, for the green transformation of poor countries; about $300bn will be needed to help them adapt to the effects of the climate crisis; and about $100bn a year must go to “loss and damage”, which is the rescue of countries stricken by climate catastrophe.

It’s, you know.

It’s whatever.

I can’t really think about this bullshit anymore.

Just as a man can never become a woman, carbon dioxide can never change the weather.

This is literally just a gigantic, hysterical hoax, perpetrated, once again, by the Jews.

The rubber may well be hitting the road.

It appears as though the powers that be are saying that they can’t keep playing this stupid global warming game while they are talking about launching a war against most of the world.

Last year, NATO said they were going to fight World War III with wind-powered tanks and jets, and I think that was the point at which powerful people were like “okay, this is out of control, we’ve got to return to reality a little bit here.”

Of course, the issue is, so much money and energy has been poured into the global warming movement that it’s just running on inertia, and will do so indefinitely.

Reuters:

TotalEnergies shareholders rejected an activist resolution on Friday urging faster cuts to the oil major’s greenhouse gas emissions programme after police intervened to stop climate protesters disrupting its annual general meeting.

The resolution, filed by climate group Follow This and 17 institutional investors with a total 1.1 trillion euros under management, obtained 30.44% of votes, up from a 17% vote share result in 2020, the last time a similar resolution was put forward.

Outside the venue in central Paris, the smell of teargas from earlier clashes hung in the air and police used pepper spray as they dragged some protesters away to free a path for shareholders through several hundred climate activists.

All those attending the meeting were required to place phones in sealed satchels for its duration.

“I regret that this meeting does not take place in the conditions that it should,” Chief Executive Patrick Pouyanne told the meeting as it began on time. “In any case, I hope dialogue will follow.”

As climate activists have stepped up demands oil companies set tougher targets on greenhouse gas emissions, protesters tried to storm the stage of Shell’s shareholder meeting earlier this week and disrupted BP’s AGM last month.

Energy Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher told France Info radio on Friday that oil and gas companies needed to “re-invent themselves” and would have no future unless they could map a path out of fossil fuels.

The Follow This resolution opposed by TotalEnergies board, called for the company to commit to steeper absolute emissions cuts by 2030 as opposed to intensity targets that can fall as a company adds renewable assets.

…

Follow This CEO Mark van Baal said the vote on Friday was “a great outcome and a shareholder rebellion for sure”.

“One-third of investors say Total needs to decrease emissions by 2030 and that they can’t hide behind their customers by saying Scope 3 emissions are not the company’s responsibility,” he said.

Despite the fact that I am well aware this is all part of the plan, it is still satisfying to see these weather cultists get sprayed like the roaches they are.

Even if the power center now finds these cultists they funded annoying and counterproductive, the system can still continue to use it as a distraction.

It’s not like there is a way for any group to pressure the powerful into doing anything that the powerful do not want to do. This is a democracy, so even if 100% of the population supports shutting down all Western industry in the middle of a war and powering NATO jets with wind energy, there is no obligation to do that.

Security staff shielded Shell Chief Executive Wael Sawan and the firm’s board of directors as climate protesters tried unsuccessfully to storm the stage at the energy giant’s annual shareholder meeting in London on Tuesday.

Shell Chairman Andrew Mackenzie was unable to start the energy giant’s annual general shareholder meeting an hour after its scheduled start amid climate activists singing and shouting before being carried out one by one by security staff.

At one point, dozens of security staff formed a human chain on the stage to shield executives and directors from protestors running towards them and attempting to climb the stage.

The scenes were reminiscent of Shell’s shareholder meeting last year which was delayed by around three hours with similar, staggered protests.

“Go to hell, Shell, and don’t you come back no more,” a choir of about a dozen protesters sang with Sawan and Chairman Andrew Mackenzie looking on.

“I will not stand by while Shell destroys this beautiful planet,” one protestor shouted.

It’s sort of a boomer point, but where do these people think electricity comes from?

If you look at any of the photos, the warming cult is at least 70% women, and I assume the men involved are all just trying to get laid in a movement that is dominated by single women.

If these women are arguing for a shutdown of industrial society, they should probably understand that women did not have any “rights” at all before industrial society became a thing.

Women, naturally, are treated purely as property, rather than rational agents or conscious actors.

Some primitive societies did devolve into feminism, but they then quickly collapsed.

Extant primitive societies, like the Taliban for instance, do not give women rights.

Furthermore, just as a general matter, none of these people understand the larger thing you are talking about when you talk about completely shutting down civilization. These are weak-bodied people who hang out at coffee shops and believe in trans. Shutting down the industrial system would lead to a Walking Dead type scenario, where these people would be forced into submission by vicious rape gangs.

The other thing is that if the West did shut down the electricity and force itself into a primitivist type scenario, the Chinese would just come in and pay the rape gangs for safe passage to drill the resources in the West, so you would still get your warmed globe, if that theory were indeed true.

Of course, without electricity, you’d be thankful for the warm weather.

So maybe this all makes perfect sense?
