A family doctor cut a hole in a Lynx shampoo bottle so he could film men using the showers in the gym.

Dr Omar Saadi Al-Atraqchi, 42, faces being struck off the medical register making him unable to continue working at the Custom House Surgery in Newham, East London as well as other surgeries in North London after he was found with the footage.

The urology specialist cut peepholes in Lynx bottles and emptied and dried them so he could hide his iPhone inside to film through the hole. He then slid the device under the partition of shower cubicles so he could secretly film men next door to him.

But Al-Atraqchi was caught out twice – once when a man noticed a glint of a camera through a bottle, and again when a fitness instructor became suspicious when he heard plastic being rustled and saw a Lynx bottle appear in his shower cubicle.

The doctor said he had set up the intricate device to ‘let off steam’ because of the pressure at work, and claimed he also felt isolated and confused about his sexuality.

Al-Atraqchi pleaded guilty to four counts of voyeurism and was fined £500, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £25 when he appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

He now faces a hearing to determine whether he will be struck off the medical register after a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service hearing in Manchester found him guilty of misconduct and told his ability to practise medicine had been impaired.

Two of the incidents took place at Pure Gym in Holloway. A spokesman for the gym said security had now been stepped up and Al-Atraqchi had been banned from all Pure Gyms for life.

In the first incident, in March last year, the Iraqi GP was found out when a naked gym user noticed a shower gel bottle being moved under the exposed area at the bottom of the cubicle and spotted a man’s hand moving the bottle around as if to re-position it. He also saw a hole in the top and a camera lens exposed in the hole.

He knocked loudly on the shower wall and shouted at the doctor who then pulled the shower gel bottle away and fled.

A hospital nurse murdered three patients and poisoned 18 others by contaminating saline bags and ampoules with insulin, a court heard.

Victorino Chua, 49, also deliberately altered the dosages on prescription charts while working as a staff nurse at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, Manchester Crown Court was told.

In all, 21 patients suffered as a result of his actions with three of them murdered, Tracey Arden, 44, Arnold Lancaster, 71, and Derek Weaver, 83, jurors heard.

Chua, a Filipino who first came to the UK in 2002 and had worked at Stepping Hill since 2009, sat in the dock listening impassively as Peter Wright QC, began outlining the prosecution case against him.

Chua has pleaded not guilty to 36 charges in all, including the three alleged murders.

The other charges are made up of, one count of grievous bodily harm with intent, 23 counts of attempted grievous bodily harm, eight counts of attempting to cause a poison to be administered and one count of administering a poison.

All of the offences are said to have happened between June 2011 and January 2012.

Mr Wright said following a massive police investigation a ‘pattern’ began to emerge and the killer was identified.

He told the jury of 10 men and two women: ‘The pieces of the forensic jigsaw began to emerge.

‘The person responsible for each of these matters became increasingly clear. It was, we say, Victorino Chua.

‘As the investigation intensified, the common denominator, the defendant, was shown in sharper and sharper relief.

‘Motive for this course of conduct, whomsoever is responsible, is difficult to determine with precision.

‘Only the person responsible could ever know why they would embark on such conduct.’

Mr Wright said it was the prosecution’s job to prove Chua was responsible, not to say exactly why, or ‘what caused him to turn from a man who had dedicated his life to caring for others, to harming them’.

Chua had worked on two wards, A1 and A3, at the hospital – but it was a ‘lottery’ as to which patients were harmed, with the saline bags and ampoules contaminated with insulin by him to then be used by other unsuspecting doctors and nurses on innocent patients.

The prosecutor continued: ‘In the vast majority of cases, the poisoner seems to have contaminated products or altered prescription dosages completely at random.

A nurse whose identity is being hidden but who has a brown neck, has admitted to killing thirty patients because he was bored and wanted to show off his resuscitation skills.

A German nurse today admitted to killing 30 patients in his care because he was ‘bored’ and wanted to show off his ‘excellent’ resuscitation skills.

Nils. H., 38, is being tried for three specimen murders by injecting patients with a dangerous medicine.

The ex-nurse went on trial in Oldenburg in northern Germany in September and today claimed responsibility for dozens of deaths at the clinic he worked at.

After he was arrested, the nurse explained to police ‘I was bored’ – and prosecutors say he was keen to show off his CPR skills.

According to the prosecution, if the first attempt at resuscitation was a success, he would sometimes make a second attempt.

The nurse, whose full name is withheld under German privacy laws, used Gilurytmal, a medication which should only be used by doctors under strict supervision, it was said.

Side effects include an irregular heartbeat, a drop in blood pressure and uncoordinated functioning of the heart muscle.

Though the nurse is facing charges over three murders and two attempted murders, the state prosecutor said he could be involved in more than 150 deaths.

In cooperation with the police, the state prosecutor is currently investigating the deaths of 174 patients who died during Nils. H.’s shifts at a clinic in Delmenhorst, near Bremen, between 2003 and 2005.

The investigators will also look into deaths at Nils. H.’s previous jobs in Oldenburg and Wilhelmshaven and dozens of bodies will be exhumed.

In 2008, Nils. H. was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years for the attempted murder of another patient.

He gave his patient an overdose of heart medication, with the man narrowly escaping death.

Despite 100,000 competent British students applying to be trained as nurses, the government is refusing to take on any more than 20,000 a year and is insisting on importing sub-standard foreigners for the position instead.

Figures released on Tuesday showed that 4 out of 5 nurses are now hired from abroad, with almost 6,000 recruited from overseas in just last year alone – a four-fold increase on the previous year.

Instead of investing the time and money on our own people who care about us and speak our language, the traitors in power would rather cut corners and employ third rate shysters who hate us from elsewhere.

For the £70,000 that it costs to train a White nurse in Britain, the government can get three witch-doctors qualified in Limpopo and enrich the NHS with diversity at the same time.

Who cares that they cannot speak the language and dont know an appendix from a uterus, they have a badly spelled piece of paper that says they have a degree in nursing and that is all that matters.

There are fears that severe staffing shortages are leading managers to lower the bar for recruits’ English skills.

Dr Carter told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that it was ‘totally unacceptable’ for hospitals not to give proper English tests.

And Dr Wollaston criticised the ‘yo-yo of recruitment’, adding: ‘It’s time for [training] schemes to deliver on the right numbers of nurses and doctors for today’s NHS and increase the opportunities for the thousands of British applicants.’

In the past, training nurses was far cheaper because they could learn as apprentices in hospitals. But a system brought in during the 1990s required all nurses to have a degree.

Last month the Mail visited a recruitment fair in Porto, Portugal, where Bedford Hospital hired 25 nurses. They were offered contracts without any formal English tests and some were even given help filling in the application form.

Meanwhile, readers have told the MailOnline website of their own families’ difficulties with finding jobs in the NHS. One man wrote that his wife worked at a hospital in Devon but left in 2004 to start a family.

She tried to return to the NHS after taking a refresher course, but was unable to find a job.

At one interview she was one of 13 candidates for five jobs, which all went to EU nurses.

Another said her daughter, a nurse, found jobs ‘were all filled by overseas candidates. She had no choice but to work in the private sector.’

A third said: ‘My English granddaughter is desperate to train to be a midwife.

‘She has passed English and Maths GCSE, but still has to take a test in these subjects before she can even get an interview at a university.’

A Department of Health spokesman said there were 5,000 more nurses on wards than in May 2010 and 1,000 extra training places this year. The department has started a £5million campaign to get retired nurses back to work.

It seems to me that most people would rather have someone who they are genetically close to serve them when they are ill or injured, as human beings simply feel more comfortable around such persons.  At the very least, on a basic practical level, you would think people would prefer the health worker with the highest possible IQ.

So, once again, you have decisions being made against common sense, against the interests of the people, against economic interests, probably against other forms of interest as well, for the sole purpose of damaging the cultural and racial fabric of Britain.

An anaesthetist who was branded ‘the octopus’ for his wandering hands and lewd comments could be jailed for groping nurses at the hospital where he worked.

Dr Niaz Ahmed passed off his behaviour as innocent banter and was referred to as a ‘sex pest’ by prosecutors at Newcastle Crown Court.

The skilled doctor, who had received numerous warnings from hospital bosses to tone down his behaviour, was convicted of sexually assaulting two of his colleagues more than a decade ago and must now sign the sex offenders register.

Ahmed, who was suspended from medical practice at a tribunal earlier this year for groping a nurse who was treating him after an accident in 2010, was cleared of three similar charges.

Michael Hodson, prosecuting, said: ‘Imagine what it was like going to work with a sex pest, always the octopus, hands all over the place, underlined by innuendo.’

Mr Hodson said one nurse victim was targeted in the scrub room at the hospital, where Ahmed squeezed her bottom and asked her ‘do you fancy it’.

Another had her breasts prodded by the medic while she was at work and said he had told her ‘put them away’.

A leading doctor secretly filmed more than 1,000 patients – including children as young as three – with a sophisticated network of cameras hidden in hospital toilets.

World-renowned hearing specialist Dr Lam Hoe Yeoh, 62, secretly filmed hundreds of patients, colleagues and strangers using cameras stuck in toilet cubicles, his office and even in pens and watches, between 2011 and 2014 a court heard.

A court heard that he gained ‘sexual gratification’ from the secret filming of his victims, as they used toilets at hospitals across the country, on trains and in his own home.

On many occasions he would film targets when he greeted them at hospital, before ‘splicing’ together this footage with crotch shots filmed in public lavatories to make mini-movies of his victims.

He would install the cameras so they were at the height to ‘film the genitals of the person using the toilet’, prosecuting counsel Peter Clement told the shocked court.

He has today pleaded guilty at Croydon Crown Court to seven counts of voyeurism, six counts of making an indecent photograph of a child, and one of possessing extreme pornography involving animals.

The court heard that the ‘sophisticated, organised, planned and long-running’ voyeurism was the biggest Scotland Yard had ever seen.

The voyeurism charges relate to 30 identified victims and 1,084 unidentified victims, while the charge of making indecent images of children relates to six children.

The physician, who specialises in hearing and balance disorders, was arrested at the private St Anthony’s Hospital in North Cheam after an investigation was launched by officers in April when one victim raised the alarm.

The consultant surgeon, from Barnstead, has been based at the NHS St Helier Hospital in Carshalton, Surrey, where he ran a regular clinic.

In addition to St Anthony’s, he has worked at two other private hospitals, the Cromwell in Chelsea and the Portland in Central London.

Prosecutor Mr Clement said the crimes were uncovered following ‘a single, discrete incident’ at St Anthony’s Hospital in April this year.

Mr Clement said: ‘He visited a toilet block and went to a lavatory near the desk where two ladies had been working.

‘Then he left. He had secreted a covert video recording device.

‘The device fell from the position when it was recovered by one of the two ladies.

‘The whole case relates to the filming of patients in hospital toilets with a sophisticated rig of hidden cameras.

‘Examination that day showed the device had captured and recorded one of those ladies using the lavatory.

A neurosurgeon has been jailed for 16 years after being found guilty of nine indecent assaults against patients at two Birmingham hospitals.

Nafees Hamid, 51, had denied a total of 15 charges relating to 10 women between 2009 and 2013 at the city’s Queen Elizabeth and Priory hospitals.

A jury at Birmingham Crown Court convicted him of assaults on six patients.

In passing sentence, the judge said it was “the most extreme breach of trust”.

Judge Patrick Thomas QC, who heard that Hamid will now be struck off, also ordered him to sign the sex offender register for life.

He told Hamid witnesses had spoken highly of his clinical skills, but he had been “brought low by a simple failing – lust”.

“And you exercised your lust as a result of arrogance,” he said.

“These ladies went to see you because they had significant problems and they thought – with your skills, abilities and experience – you were the person who could help them with the medical problems.

“Instead, you grossly abused them.”

During the eight-week trial the spinal surgery specialist, of Russell Road, Moseley, Birmingham, told the court some of the alleged attacks did not happen, while others were legitimate examinations which had been misconstrued.

However, one expert witness told jurors Hamid had performed “inappropriate and medically unjustifiable” examinations, ignoring General Medical Council guidelines.

Among the victims he was convicted of assaulting was a woman in her mid-20s whose complaint led to Hamid’s arrest in November 2013.

In a completely avoidable tragedy, a White doctor’s father was recently killed by the stupidity of a low IQ ape from the dark continent masquerading as a German physician.

The ape was standing in for the patient’s usual health-care professional and instead of giving him the recommended dose of his medication, he gave him ten times as much instead.

The medicine was diamorphine and the White man died, years before his time.

When his sons tried to get the incompetent primate fired and prevented from harming any more White people, they were told that under EU law, Germany had to deal with it.

Trusting to the Germans to do the right thing, the man’s sons were then shocked to discover that the deadly doctor was still practicing, and had not even been given any prison time.

Then to make matters worse, the backwards savage has sued one of the White men and now the bereaved is being chased by the courts to pay his father’s murderer.

Rory Gray was sued in a German court by Dr Daniel Ubani for remarks he made when he and his brother confronted the doctor at a medical conference in the country.

An inquest found David Gray, 70, was unlawfully killed in 2008 after Ubani, a Nigerian-born Germany citizen who was working as an out-of-hours locum GP, fatally administered 10 times the normal dose of diamorphine. The doctor was struck off the medical register in the UK.

The Daily Telegraph said Gray and his brother, Stuart, interrupted the conference, calling Ubani a “charlatan”, “killer” and “animal”. Now a court in Lindau, Germany, has ruled that Gray must pay three-quarters of the legal costs, running into thousands of pounds, and write Ubani a letter promising never to call him an animal again. It has also threatened him with a £200,000 fine if he repeats the insult.

Gray, 49, told the Telegraph: “It makes me feel physically sick. It is quite hard to believe. We went to that conference because we were determined to make things safer for people. What we have done has changed the laws to make things safer across Europe.”

He added: “The General Medical Council has thanked us, the politicians have thanked us, but now this. It shows the man has no integrity, no remorse.”

A junior doctor working in paediatrics has admitted online child grooming and sexually abusing boys as young as 12.

Dr Raza Laskar from Ashton-under-Lyne in Greater Manchester, also pleaded guilty to possessing images of abuse.

He denied six of the 37 charges he is accused of when he appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

Laskar, 31, was arrested as part of a police operation which targeted men who accessed abuse images online. There is no evidence his patients were abused.

Det Insp Theresa Carter, said: “Like Jekyll and Hyde, he is vastly different in moral character depending on the situation, going from caring for and treating children to deliberately targeting, grooming and abusing them.

“I can stress that we found no evidence that he committed any offence during the course of his employment.”

NHS England confirmed Laskar had previously worked in a number of hospitals across Greater Manchester.

In May, police executed a warrant at Laskar’s home after 1,605 files believed to contain indecent photographs of children were uploaded from an IP address at his home.

The files had been uploaded between Christmas Day 2013 and January 2014.

A locum doctor working at Salford Royal Hospital has admitted removing a patient’s ovary during an operation that was ‘not clinically justified’.

Dr Benjamin Nnabugwu Ogbonna, a consultant gynaecologist, faced a fitness to practise hearing today at St James’ Buildings on Oxford Street in Manchester.

He removed the woman’s left ovary during a procedure at the Stott Lane centre on 9 March 2012.

The inquiry alleges that Dr Ogbonna failed to provide appropriate or adequate care to 13 patients while a locum at Salford Royal Hospital.

The Medical Practicioners Tribunal Service heard that concerns were raised over his work in two 12-week placements at the Salford hospital between February and December 2012.

In one case, from 18 September 2012, it is alleged that Dr Ogbonna attempted to perform a hysteroscopy (a procedure to examine the inside of the womb) on a woman known as ‘Patient H’ but it “had to be abandoned because you could not find her cervix, or words to that effect”.

In an operation on ‘Patient B’ on 19 October 2012 Dr Ogbonna allegedly failed to explain that the procedure was irreversible and failed to obtain informed consent.

The University of Nigeria-educated doctor is facing a variety of charges on incidents including not adequately examining patients, offering inappropriate medication or treatment, failure to make referrals for hospital admissions, failure to correctly explain procedures and the risks and disadvantages, failure to follow Trust guidelines, failure to follow the advice of his colleagues and giving inaccurate and misleading information to colleagues.

Dr Ogbonna denies misconduct and deficient professional performance.
