There are fewer hurricanes now than before, and their number and severity is continuing to drop.

This is a documented fact that the global warmers themselves admit.

Here’s the Nature article, here’s a CNN article fluffing it. They say that although there are many fewer storms, it is “likely” they will become more intense.

But of course, the storms are measured by the amount of monetary damage they do, and Florida is continuing to do shitty cheap construction that continues costing more and more. So, of course the financial cost is going to go up.

The Guardian:

The head of the US disaster relief agency has called Hurricane Helene, which has killed nearly 70 people so far, a “true multi-state event” that caused “significant infrastructure damage” and had been made worse because of global heating.

The storm killed at least 69 people, according to state and local officials in South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia. Officials feared still more bodies would be discovered.

“This is going to be a really complicated recovery in each of the five states” of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, the Fema administrator, Deanne Criswell, said.

She noted that a 15ft storm surge hit Florida’s Taylor county, where Helene came ashore as a category 4 hurricane late Thursday with winds of 140mph (225km/h), and pointed out that areas of western North Carolina, where search and rescue operations are continuing, recorded 29in (74cm) of rain when the storm stalled over the region.

“This is historic flooding up in North Carolina,” Criswell told the CBS show Face the Nation on Sunday. “I don’t know that anybody could be fully prepared for the amount of flooding and landslides they are having right now.”

As many as 1,000 people remain unaccounted for in Buncombe county in the Appalachian mountains where the hurricane caused catastrophic flooding and mudslides in the Asheville region, cutting off most communication and making the roads impassable.

At least 11 people are dead in North Carolina, Cooper’s office said in an update on Sunday “Tragically we know there will be more,” Cooper said. “Even as the rain and winds have subsided, the challenge for people there increases. People are desperate for help.”

At least 23 are dead in South Carolina, including two firefighters. In Georgia, at least 17 people have died, two of them killed by a tornado in Alamo, according to a spokesperson for Kemp.

The devastation, Criswell said, was linked to the climate emergency. “This storm took a while to develop, but once it did it intensified very rapidly – and that’s because of the warm waters in the Gulf that’s creating more storms that are reaching this major category level.”

The conditions, she said, were creating greater amounts of storm surge in the coastal areas and increased rainfall as the storms moved north.

“In the past, damage from hurricanes was primarily wind damage, but now we’re seeing so much more water damage and that is a result of the warm waters which is a result of climate change,” Criswell told CBS.

Bullshit.

Global warming is fake.

We have always had storms. If there’s more water, it’s because they paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

It’s a pretty big list.

New York City Sinking Under the Weight of Its Buildings https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/01/13/new-york-city-sinking-under-the-weight-of-its-buildings/ Sat, 13 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0000

It probably doesn’t help the structural soundness of the islands that the Jews are digging a complex and hitherto not comprehended tunneling system under the city.

That said: nothing would be lost if New York City sank into the ocean.

New York Post:

New York City is reaching an all-time low — literally.

New research reveals dramatic concern that the Big Apple, Long Island and many more Atlantic coastal regions face an inevitable risk of sinking under the weight of their buildings at an alarming rate.

“It affects you and I and everyone. It may be gradual, but the impacts are real,” Virginia Tech professor and researcher Manoochehr Shirzaei said.

Other metropolitan areas like Baltimore, Maryland, along with Norfolk and Virginia Beach in Virginia, were also flagged as worrisome coastal areas prone to dangerous flooding as a result of the sinking land.

The new study, published in Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences, highlights that the rate of sinking — scientifically called subsidence — is occurring at a staggering 2 millimeters per year in many areas.

That level, which is potentially impacting 2 million people and 800,000 properties along the East Coast, “should cause concern,” lead author Leonard Ohenhen added.

“For example, significant areas of critical infrastructure in New York, including JFK and LaGuardia airports and [their] runways, along with the railway systems, are affected by subsidence rates exceeding 2 millimeters per year.”

September research by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration noted that the areas around LGA and the U.S. Open’s Arthur Ashe Stadium had fallen at 3.7 and 4.6 millimeters per year between 2016 to 2023.

A September viral video also captured a wild flood scene at LaGuardia as passengers endured ankle-deep water within the airport.

The Virginia Tech study warns that more than 1,400 miles of East Coast terrain is sinking at a rate of more than 5 millimeters annually.

That’s four more than the rate of global sea rise.

I say, let them sink.

It’s the same thing with California.

Remember the Tool song?

Come on, guys – you remember the Tool song.

The lyrics hold true today. And apply to NYC as must as LA.

Some say the end is near
Some say we’ll see Armageddon soon
I certainly hope we will
I sure could use a vacation from this

Bullshit three-ring
Circus sideshow of
Freaks

Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A.
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away
Any fucking time, any fucking day
Learn to swim, I’ll see you down in Arizona bay

Fret for your figure and
Fret for your latte and
Fret for your lawsuit and
Fret for your hairpiece and
Fret for your Prozac and
Fret for your pilot and
Fret for your contract and
Fret for your car

It’s a
Bullshit three-ring
Circus sideshow of
Freaks

Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A.
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away
Any fucking time, any fucking day
Learn to swim, I’ll see you down in Arizona bay

Some say a comet will fall from the sky
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves
Followed by fault lines that cannot sit still
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits

And some say the end is near
Some say we’ll see Armageddon soon
I certainly hope we will
I sure could use a vacation from this
Stupid shit, silly shit, stupid shit

One great big festering neon distraction
I’ve a suggestion to keep you all occupied
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
‘Cause Mom’s gonna fix it all soon
Mom’s comin’ ’round to put it back the way it ought to be

Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim

Fuck L. Ron Hubbard and
Fuck all his clones
Fuck all these gun-toting
Hip gangster wannabes

Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim

Fuck retro anything
Fuck your tattoos
Fuck all you junkies and
Fuck your short memories

Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim

Yeah, fuck smiley glad-hands
With hidden agendas
Fuck these dysfunctional
Insecure actresses

Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim

‘Cause I’m praying for rain
I’m praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way
I wanna watch it all go down

Mom, please flush it all away
I wanna see it go right in and down
I wanna watch it go right in
Watch you flush it all away

Yeah, time to bring it down again
Yeah, don’t just call me pessimist
Try and read between the lines
I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t
Welcome any change, my friend

I wanna see it come down
Put it down
Suck it down
Flush it down

Just let it all go.

PSA: If You’re Driving and You See That the Road Stops, You Should Hit the Brakes https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/07/24/psa-if-youre-driving-and-you-see-that-the-road-stops-you-should-hit-the-brakes/ Mon, 24 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000 This photo is from Nova Scotia, Canada:

There was flooding that destroyed the road.

But there is no way that this car just happened to be driving across the road when it collapsed.

This asshole (probably a woman) drove straight into the hole.

You should always watch where you are going – particularly when there is heavy flooding – and if there is a gigantic missing piece of the road, you should hit the brakes in your car rather than driving into the gulch.

This is really just common sense, but as this is an ongoing issue, I feel a need to give a public service announcement on the issue.

Please also not that a car WILL NOT transform into a boat simply because you drive it into deep water.

That is, unless you have a boat-car (alternately known as a car-boat), which is something I’ve been recommending people buy for years.

It’s possible (or even likely) that they’ll be hating, but you will, nonetheless, be rolling.

Germany: Authorities Shut Down Flood Sirens Right Before the Floods Hit https://www.anglinarchive.com/2021/07/22/germany-authorities-shut-down-flood-sirens-right-before-the-floods-hit/ Thu, 22 Jul 2021 00:00:00 +0000

This will finally stop global warming – once and for all.

Free West Media:

The flood disaster in Germany is being blamed by the mainstream on the “climate”. But human lives were deliberately endangered and sacrificed for that end, it appears.

As t-online noted: “The sirens did not go off for a reason. […] If we had triggered the sirens while the media wasn’t reporting, everyone would have called 112.” It was feared that the inquiries would paralyze the emergency number. The siren alarm can “only be triggered hand in hand with media coverage,” explained an official, referring to the late and much criticized reporting by WDR on the night of the flood. “Otherwise the alarm would cause panic.”

As a further reason for the lack of sounding the alarm, the official admitted: “Nobody expected it to take on such proportions.” Thus the sirens were deliberately not triggered to avoid panic among the population.

But arguably, people need to “panic” to flee for their own safety. Or would they rather have people drown “calmly”?

Usually journalists criticize politicians, but at the federal press conference politicians were furious because Germans on social media had dared to criticize the fact that the government was poorly prepared after the flood disaster and had no answer to important questions about the safety of citizens.

But anyone who has a highly paid spokesman post in a federal ministry and appears in front of the press, must expect some criticism.

Notably, there were no differences between the main political actors at the press conference with Finance Minister Olaf Scholz (SPD) and Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) in Berlin. Above all, the SPD candidate for chancellor never left any doubts as to what the cause of the floods were: It was “obviously a consequence of man-made climate change”.

Everybody with half a brain always assumed that the reason this cow fart conspiracy caught on so fast with politicians is that they can blame basically anything on it, including their own incompetence.

Them actively making disasters worse in order to push the cow fart narrative though… that’s hardcore.

But maybe we should ignore this, and focus on more important things?
