This is the most intense one since the door came off.

It happens to have been a cargo plane, but in theory, the maintenance shouldn’t be any different on that.

A FedEx Airlines Boeing 767 , opens new tab cargo plane landed at Istanbul Airport on Wednesday without its front landing gear, a Turkish Transport Ministry official said, adding there were no casualties and authorities had launched an investigation.

The aircraft, flying from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, informed the control tower in Istanbul that its landing gear had failed to open and touched down with guidance from the tower, managing to remain on the runway, a ministry statement said.

Airport rescue and fire fighting teams were scrambled before landing, but no one was injured. The ministry gave no reason for the failure.

The aircraft involved is a nearly 10-year-old Boeing 767 freighter, one of the most common cargo planes and based on the 767 passenger model dating back to the 1980s.

Video footage obtained by Reuters showed sparks flying and some smoke as the front of the plane scraped along the runway before coming to a halt and being doused with firefighting foam. No fire appeared to have broken out.

The video showed the pilots holding the plane’s nose above the runway for several seconds after the main wheels had touched the ground, apparently executing the emergency drill for landing with a retracted nose gear that pilots train for, according to the SKYbrary aviation database.

In June last year, a small 22-year-old Boeing 717 flown by Delta Airlines made a similar smooth landing without a nose gear in Charlotte, North Carolina, in an incident later blamed on a fractured component.

This isn’t a 737 Max. A 767 is a good plane.

What is happening is that Boeing is failing to maintain existing planes, along with designing new planes that are not viable.

This is a result of the competence crisis, which is primarily a result of diversity.

We’ve seen people respond to claims that diversity is responsible for the competence crisis by noting that white men are less competent than previous generations. This is self-evidently true, but it doesn’t explain Boeing. Boeing is one of the biggest companies in the world and has huge US government contracts to fund it, and they can afford to get the best people to work there. They do not do that.

A FedEx tractor-trailer was blocked by several cars in a Memphis, Tennessee, intersection before dozens of people pillaged the back of the truck for packages, leaving boxes discarded all over the road during the brazen weekend theft.

Video from the scene shows multiple people running through parked cars in the road toward the FedEx truck as the driver attempts to escape the ravagers who are carrying their loot.

Multiple men allegedly used an unknown tool to open the safety latch on the truck’s sealed back doors and took numerous packages, the driver said, according to multiple local reports.

When police officers arrived, multiple vehicles were seen recklessly speeding away Saturday night, the Memphis Police Department said, according to Fox13 Memphis.

The large-scale theft happened at Mallory and Riverport in the South Memphis neighborhood of the city.

One resident says she is fed up with the crime taking place in the area of Saturday’s theft.

“My thing is somebody’s gonna end up getting killed,” Vivica Shumpert told WHBQ. “And the citizens that are paying taxes, we should have some more security, better security for the people who are paying property taxes and who want to live safely and quietly.”

This is way more effective than what they did on the Golden Gate Bridge recently.

The shadow people epidemic is getting totally out of control.

The only thing we know is that they are creatures seemingly totally devoid of shape, who appear simply as a dark mass. They appear only to commit crimes, and then disappear into the shadows.

Doorbell footage obtained by WRIC captured a man approaching a delivery driver as she walked toward a home in Chesterfield, Virginia, holding a package containing an iPad.

At the last second, the bold bandit snatches the package right out of her hands and bolts off to his car – a white BMW, no less.

The homeowner, Jessica Saenz, was working at home at the time of the shocking Thursday heist.

“I was in a meeting and then the FedEx lady started knocking on my door like, really hard,” Saenz told the news outlet. “I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’”

The worker then delivered the bad news about the Apple device.

When Saenz checked the surveillance video, she saw the thief telling the FedEx employee that he lived at the residence before swooping in for the grab.

Authorities released a photo Friday of the 19-year-old former FedEx worker who went on a shooting spree at a company facility in Indianapolis before turning the gun on himself.

Authorities have identified the shooter as Brandon Scott Hole a local man who last worked for FedEx in 2020 and had previous run-ins with police during a suicidal episode.

Cops still don’t know why Hole used a rifle to kill eight people and wound five others around 11 p.m. Thursday.

“We’ve recently identified him, so now, the work really begins, trying to establish and see if we can figure out some sort of motive in this, but we don’t have that right now,” said Deputy Chief Craig McCartt said at a press conference Friday afternoon.

It was also unclear where Hole got the rifle he used at the plant near the Indianapolis International Airport.

Authorities released the names of the eight people killed in an Indianapolis FedEx facility shooting rampage Thursday, showing they range in age from 19 to 74.

The dead were identified by Indianapolis Police as: Matthew Alexander, 32; Samaria Blackwell, 19; Amarjeet Johal, 66; Jasvinder Kaur, 64; Jaswinder Singh, 68; Amarjit Skhon, 48; Karlie Smith, 19; John Weisert, 74.

At least four of the victims were members of the Sikh community, the Sikh Coalition said Friday.

The names of the people who were injured in the attack have not been released.

They will probably add that to the “anti-Asian” statistics, even though Indians aren’t really “Asian.”

But it’s just a coincidence.

Well, partially a coincidence. A white boy floating in the multicultural soup is going to be more likely to snap than an Amish farm boy. But if they come out and try to say it’s a racist murder, I don’t think anyone is going to buy it. They don’t seem to be saying that.

On a long enough timeline, everyone’s inability to avoid consequences for their behavior drops to zero.

It looks like the “general breakdown of society” is now becoming more visible, finally.

It was definitely only a matter of time before mass shootings became a daily thing. You just can’t put this stress on the society without that happening.

Eight people were killed in a mass shooting at an Indianapolis FedEx facility on Thursday night, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Genae Cook said.

Authorities were aware of multiple other injured victims in hospitals, one of whom was in critical condition, she said during a media briefing early Friday.

Police believe the shooter took his own life and there is “no active threat to the community at this time,” Cook said.

It is unclear what motivated the shooting, but investigations are ongoing and will continue into most of the day Friday, she said.

Police arrived at around 11:00 p.m. local time to an active-shooter situation and entered the facility without hesitation, Cook said.

“The officers responded, they came in, they went in and they did their job,” Cook said. A lot of them are trying to face this because this is a sight no one should ever have to see.”
