One thing that you will always find in new age literature that discusses ancient civilizations is that the magnetic pole of the earth has shifted throughout history and this has created crises that have affected the ages of different civilizations.

For example, many new agers now agree that there was once an ancient city on what is now the North Pole. This would either be the lost city of Atlantis or the center of some other ancient civilization, depending on which new ager you talk to.

Here’s a map of what the current North Pole used to look like, according to 16th century geographer Gerardus Mercator.

This map is regularly posted by new agers, who argue that if you shifted the magnetic pole of the earth, the North Pole would be habitable and would also be at the center of the world, given that every continent connects to it.

Other new agers have offered that the poles of the earth randomly flip with a quickness (that is, the entire earth turns upside down), causing a crisis that will destroy any civilization and kill most people on earth. Nikola Tesla, who is a very popular figure within the new age movement, also discussed this. It’s also now a part of mainstream science that the poles flip every few hundred thousands of years. Their evidence for it is not that good, but it is there.

Every new age book I’ve ever read came rushing back to me in reading the latest news about the magnetic poles.

Popular Mechanics:

The magnetic north pole just isn’t where it used to be.

Ever since James Clark Ross first identified it on the Boothia Peninsula in Canada’s Nunavut territory in 1831, scientists have been carefully measuring its location ever since. But in recent years, it’s been inching closer and closer to Siberia at a surprisingly rapid pace.

Now, researchers from U.K. and Denmark say they’ve uncovered the reason for this mysterious movement: Two writhing lobes of magnetic force are duking it out near Earth’s core.

“The wandering of Earth’s north magnetic pole, the location where the magnetic field points vertically downwards, has long been a topic of scientific fascination,” the researchers write in their paper, which appears in the May 5 issue of Nature Geoscience.

Earth’s magnetic field is generated by molten iron in its outer core. The flow of this liquid iron can influence the location of the planet’s magnetic poles. While poles have drifted and even swapped places numerous times over the course of Earth’s long history, what’s different about this recent shift is how quickly it’s happening. From 1999 to 2005, Earth’s magnetic north pole went from shifting 9 miles at most each year to as much as 37 miles in a year.

These scientists pored over 20 years of satellite data from the European Space Administration’s Swarm satellite mission and discovered that “…over the last two decades the position of the north magnetic pole has been largely determined by two large-scale lobes of negative magnetic flux on the core–mantle boundary under Canada and Siberia,” according to the study.

Between 1970 and 1999, the flow of molten, magnetic material in Earth’s outer core changed. Because of these changes, the researchers say, the magnetic blob lurking beneath Canada slowly elongated in the early aughts, weakening the corresponding magnetic intensity on Earth’s surface.

Eventually, the blob of molten material beneath Canada split in two and the stronger one slowly shifted toward the blob beneath Siberia. This spurred the magnetic north pole to slip closer and closer to Siberia, where the magnetic intensity was stronger.

In 2017, the magnetic north pole fell within 240 miles of the geographic north pole. The movement has been so rapid that the British Geological Survey and U.S. National Geophysical Data Center, which update the World’s Magnetic Model, had to accelerate their process in order to keep up.

New agers also talk about the way earth cycles are tied to human psychological and civilizational development cycles, and tend to claim that a collapse of a human civilization from within is also tied to extreme changes with the earth itself and among the stars.

I won’t list the new agers in question, because there is no reason to send anyone down those rabbit holes, which I’ve found can induce a form of schizophrenia in the unwitting. Anyone can find them if they want to find them. I have consumed copious amounts of new age material over the years, and do find that it has a high level of entertainment value, but that they also do introduce some pretty interesting ideas alongside their Eastern Mysticism bullshit and all of the crap that they just make up whole cloth. But it would be malicious to recommend it to anyone, given the effects that I know it has on people. (Basically, you hear something that you know is true from one of these people, or something that resonates, and then you begin buying into the rest of their gibberish because they’ve established trust.)

Basically, new agers are a personality type that will look at any kind of information and not dismiss it as kooky. They then build their entire worldviews based on a hodgepodge of ideas that have been dismissed by the mainstream. A lot of this was dismissed because it was dumb, but a lot of it was dismissed because people in the establishment had an interest in dismissing it. So there are a lot of truths that can be found in the new age movement, among the piles of nonsense about spirit energy and meditation. (You should also consider that new age gurus are always in competition with one another, since there is a limited pull from which they can draw followers, so they will continue to try to one-up one another by adding various stupid things to their cosmology.)

It’s very rare that I ever feel the need to mention new age materials I’ve read here on the Daily Stormer. But this is one of those times. I think we’re entering a very, very weird period of history, and it is possible that many of the things that are believed by people who are willing to believe anything will begin to become relevant.

In my estimation, it is very possible that this satanic new civilization that is being created under the guise of this coronavirus hoax will be thwarted by changes within the earth itself. So I am going to keep an eye on the magnetic poles.

A Reader Thinks Finding Alien Life in Space is Very Unlikely https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/02/09/a-reader-thinks-finding-alien-life-in-space-is-very-unlikely/ Sun, 09 Feb 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Andrew Anglin

The following is a reader’s comment on yesterday’s piece about the likelihood of finding alien life in the galaxy.

I’m a proponent of the rare earth hypothesis myself. I would be surprised if there were more than 10 carbon copies of Earth in the Milky way, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we were the only Earth in the galaxy. I think normies, and even a lot of higher IQ people are way, way, way too optimistic about the odds of intelligent alien life. Allow me to enumerate all the intricacies that make Earth so special:

  • Firstly, an Earthlike planet has to have a long lasting molten core. Earth is the only rocky planet in the solar system, including all known dwarf planets, which has a molten core. Which is hypothesized to have arisen as a result of two proto-planets colliding in the primordial solar system. The heavier of the two protoplanets absorbed the core of the lighter planet, and much of the debris from the second planet; the millions of shards that began orbiting the what became proto-Earth coalesced into the proto-moon. Earth’s molten supercore provides our magnetosphere which deflects solar wind, preserving the atmosphere and ocean. Without the magnetosphere, Earth would be as sterile as Venus or Mars. The molten core also provides long lived hypervulcanism which has emitted green house gas over the eons preventing the Earth from freezing over during severe ice ages; volcanic eruptions provided many essential heavier metals found in our soil and crust crucial for life and tool making.
  • Secondly, and of course the most basic bitch of them all, the Earth like planet has to lie in the star’s “goldilocks zone.” Too close, and it’s a perpetual hell on Earth. Too distant, and it’s a perpetual winter wonderland.
  • You need a giant moon relative to the Earth, which stabilizes Earth’s rotation on a reliable axial tilt. Otherwise you do not have stable long lasting climates, and prevailing winds can reach hundreds of miles per hour.
  • A binary, tertiary, etc. solar system with multiple stars reduces the chances of life. Planets are hotter, and the orbits are not as stable. You also often have stars of different masses in these systems. So you could have a parent star with an Earth that was the same size and as stable as our sun, which shared a solar system with a larger star that goes supernova after a couple billion years, and blows up the Earth.
  • All stars larger than G-type main sequence stars burn out within 3 billion years or less. Cellular life took 3 billion years to develop on Earth. M-type main sequence stars, aka Red Dwarfs, are also ill suited for life. Because the goldilocks zone for M-types is so close to the star, that the star’s gravity would tidally lock the Earth, as the moon is tidally locked to Earth, so one side of the planet would be eternal day, the other eternal night. Red dwarfs also produce very little blue light, crucial for photosynthesis. Without photosynthesis, you do not have oxygen.
  • You ideally want a series of outer gas giants behind your Earth 2.0 similar to Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, whose gravity sucks up the majority of asteroids from the fringes of the solar system and beyond.
  • You need to have the right galaxy. If you have an unorganized, irregular galaxy like the large magellanic cloud, you’re going to have too much radiation, and too little metallicity to A) sustain life, B) form rocky Earth like planets. Also, even if you have the right galaxy, if that galaxy then collides with another, it can upset the equilibrium and reorient the solar system into a bad place in the course of a few million years.
  • There is a galactic goldilocks zone, similar to the solar goldilocks zone. If the solar system is too close to the center of a spiral galaxy, there is too much background radiation for life to evolve into complex forms. If the star is too far away from the center, there is again, too little metallicity to form rocky planets.
  • Even if you have all these predicates, Earth is 4.5 Billion years old. We’ve only had radio contact for 100 years. So records of our existence beyond Earth only extend out 100 light years from Earth. And of course radio waves become more diffuse and unintelligible as they expand out into space. So odds are, assuming there are a few to even a few thousand other Earths out there, intelligent civilizations capable of detecting radio waves evolved on those Earths and then went extinct, or intelligent civilizations capable of detecting radio waves have yet to evolve on those Earths, if they ever do. And if by some fluke there is another contemporary civilization capable of detecting radio waves right now out there somewhere, the odds are again, it exists too far from Earth to detect our radio waves.

Flat-Earth Man Finally Blasts Off in His Rocket! https://www.anglinarchive.com/2018/03/26/flat-earth-man-finally-blasts-off-in-his-rocket/ Mon, 26 Mar 2018 00:00:00 +0000 Adrian Sol

The mad man finally does it! He survived, too.

I gotta say, I didn’t expect the mad man to actually go through with this. He’s been talking about this for years.

But now it is done.

Scientists the world over were waiting with baited breath to finally learn the truth about the great question: is the earth flat?

Los Angeles Times:

He finally went up — just like the self-taught rocket man always pledged he would.

He came back down in one piece too — a little dinged up and his steam-powered vessel a little cracked up.

Still, mission accomplished for a guy more daredevil than engineer, who drew more comparisons to the cartoon character Wile E. Coyote from his critics than he did to iconic stunt man Evel Knievel.

“Mad” Mike Hughes, the rocket man who believes the Earth is flat, propelled himself about 1,875 feet into the air Saturday before a hard landing in the Mojave Desert. He told the Associated Press that outside of an aching back he’s fine after the launch near Amboy, Calif.

Well? Don’t keep this suspense up! We want to know.

Is the earth a pancake?

The most popular theory, of course.

Or is it a donut?

Also a solid contender.

Or, could it be a hollow shell – like a delicious chocolate Kinder Suprise?

These earths are starting to make me hungry…

“Relieved,” he said after being checked out by paramedics. “I’m tired of people saying I chickened out and didn’t build a rocket. I’m tired of that stuff. I manned up and did it.”

Okay, whatever, good job.

We need to know the results, now, Mike.

Hughes often sparred with his critics on social media leading up to the launch, through Facebook comments and a 12-minute video addressed to his doubters. He’s always maintained that his mission isn’t to prove the Earth is flat.

“Do I believe the Earth is shaped like a Frisbee? I believe it is,” he said. “Do I know for sure? No. That’s why I want to go up in space.”

That’s his project for down the road. He wants to build a “Rockoon,” a rocket that is carried into the atmosphere by a gas-filled balloon, then separated from the balloon and lit. This rocket would take Hughes about 68 miles up.

You’re telling me, after all this, that you haven’t figured anything out?

Unacceptable.

How are we supposed to save the White race if we can’t even prove the earth is flat?

What was the point of all this?

Mike is giving the entire world a serious case of flat-earth blue balls, and he needs to be held accountable for it.
