After spending nearly two decades in prison, a Washington DC man is striving to rebuild his life by marketing and selling a workout machine he invented while serving his sentence.

Raashed Hall, 40, is getting his second chance through Georgetown University’s Pivot program, which is a nine-month course aimed at teaching entrepreneurship and building life skills for people who are returning from incarceration.

Up to 150 people apply for the program each year since it was founded in 2018. The program only accepts about 20 fellows annually, allowing them to earn a certificate and get hands-on training outside the classroom, according to a profile of Hall which the DC news outlet WJLA published on Monday.

Hall’s participation in the Pivot program came after he pleaded guilty in 2004 to a shooting which left an eight-year-old girl named Chelsea Cromartie dead. On the day of the killing, Hall had been out with his pregnant girlfriend, and they were drawn into a violent confrontation outside a carryout restaurant in DC that ended with the couple fleeing as someone fired several gunshots at them.

Hall then called his brother to bring him a gun and to drive him around in search of those who had attacked him, he admitted, according to a summary of the case in the Washington Post. They eventually spotted one of the attackers sitting on the porch of a home less than a mile away from the restaurant, and Hall fired the gun his brother had brought him at the assailant.

No one on the porch was hit. But Cromartie was inside watching television while she, her mother and her brother visited her aunt. One of the bullets which Hall fired crashed through the home’s window, hit Cromartie in the head and killed her. Cromartie’s aunt was also wounded, authorities said.

Hall told WJLA that he resolved to change his life while inside the walls of the prison where he served his sentence. He designed and patented a device that uses blocks and adjustable resistance bands to make push-ups more of an intense exercise.

If this is patented, then I don’t even know what that means.

As far as I’ve been able to gather, there is no way to repeal affirmative action without totally repealing the Civil Rights Act. Legal scholars have argued this for decades, and having looked into it, it’s the conclusion I came to.

The Supreme Court is not going to throw out the Civil Rights Act, so it seems to me that all of this talk about Affirmative Action is just a total waste of time.

But it’s not totally a waste of time, because at least we’re getting a bunch of news articles about how, if you ended affirmative action, there would be no brown people in universities.

If the U.S. Supreme Court bans the consideration of race in college admissions, enrollment of minority groups at selective colleges will likely stall or decline – even if the schools give more weight to factors such as class, a new study found.

The conservative-leaning court will issue rulings this spring in cases questioning the legality of race-conscious admissions at Harvard and the University of North Carolina.

Students for Fair Admissions, the group suing Harvard and UNC, argues that class-conscious admissions would allow schools to create a diverse student body and boost disadvantaged students without focusing on race.

But a study released on Tuesday by Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce found that admissions practices that consider class but not race would still leave selective colleges without the representation of Black, Hispanic, Indigenous and Pacific Islander students seen in U.S. high schools.

“Niggers are remarkably stupid,” the authors of the paper explained. “If niggers are forced to compete with the Aryan race, they always fail.”

(I’m just kidding, they didn’t say that. But that is the vibe here, no? How else are you supposed to read that?)

Either she is saying that only because she knows AA will not be thrown out, or she is actually very low IQ. Whichever is the case, it goes to prove the point.

But hey – maybe that would happen? Maybe if you removed AA, blacks would really start competing hard, and actually earn their spots? It’s possible. I mean, it’s probably not possible if you consider test scores, because that seems like a hard wall for the blacks, but maybe we can pressure them into developing higher IQs?

We should at least try to prove this woman’s theory.

With increasing vibrant diversity in every professional field, complicated operations historically carried-out exclusively by White men are becoming more and more difficult to perform.

As such, it is unsurprising that NASA, a government agency with all of the extreme diversity quotas that go along with being a government agency in the Jewnited Snakes, just accidentally blew-up a rocket.

An unmanned rocket exploded shortly after takeoff Tuesday evening on Virginia’s eastern shore. Orbital Sciences’ Antares rocket was carrying thousands of pounds of equipment to restock the International Space Station.

The launch was supposed to be the third of eight planned Orbital missions to ferry gear and food to astronauts aboard the ISS. The rocket had some 5,000 pounds of food, supplies and science experiments, which all were engulfed in a fireball just above NASA’s Wallop’s Island facility.

The team on the ground has confirmed there are no injuries, although because of “classified crypto equipment” onboard, it is in the process of securing the surrounding area, chatter on the livestream of the launch said.

Orbital called the enormous blast a “vehicle anomaly” on Twitter.

The Antares was originally supposed to lift off on Monday, but the launch was postponed 10 minutes before take-off because a sailboat ended up in the restricted danger zone south of the Virginia complex, the Associated Press reported. Controllers promptly halted the countdown.

NASA spokesman Jay Bolden said that the investigation into the explosion could take anywhere from six months to a year. The US space agency has called on local residents to report any debris they find to help with the investigation.

Each delivery by Orbital Science’s unmanned Cygnus capsule honors a deceased person linked to the company or a commercial spaceflight. Tuesday’s mission was a tribute to Mercury astronaut Deke Slayton, who led a rocket company until his death in 1993. As a retro-style homage, Orbital Sciences flight controllers wore short-sleeved white shirts and skinny black ties.

While the ISS crew will not get their Halloween presents, they have enough supplies to last until March, NASA’s International Space Station program manager Mike Suffredini said at the press conference. “I think if no other vehicle showed up, we could go to into March,” he said.

However, the explosion gave astronauts some excitement as they watched the rocket launch live from the space station.

As America continues to become more and more diverse, we can look for NASA to begin to scale down the complexity of operations which it simply cannot perform anymore, and as there are fewer and fewer Whites working for the organization, they will progressively shut it down entirely.

The reason that Africa and Mexico did not develop space programs is that their populations are genetically incapable of managing a space program. If we bring the populations of Africa and Mexico in to run our space program, they will not magically be capable of doing so because they’ve changed their geographic location.

Diversity has been and will continue to be catastrophic for every aspect of our society, but looking at something as high-tech and definitively White as the space program, and imagining it being run by a diverse team of various third world people, really puts the whole thing in perspective.
