The sharply declining birthrate in Korea is projected to result in the closures of approximately one-third of daycare centers and kindergartens in the country by 2028, a report showed Tuesday.

According to the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education, there has been a 21.1 percent reduction in the number of nurseries nationwide, decreasing from 39,171 in 2018 to 30,923 in 2022. Similarly, kindergartens witnessed a 5.1 percent decline, dropping from 9,021 to 8,562 over the same period.

The forecast primarily stems from the diminishing number of infants from newborn to five years old. The report indicates that this trend is expected to exacerbate further.

Statistics Korea estimates the country’s fertility rate for 2023 to be 0.72 baby born per woman, based on the data from 2022. The agency anticipates an ongoing yearly decline in the infant population, with a notable projection that the number of children less than a year old is expected to drop below 200,000 by 2026.

Daycare center enrollment in Korea continues to slide, dropping from over 1.41 million in 2018 to 1.09 million in 2022.

Similarly, kindergarten enrollment declined from 675,998 in 2018 to 552,812 in 2022, marking an 18.2 percent decrease.

The report predicts a significant reduction in the number of daycare centers and kindergartens, from 39,053 in 2022 to 26,637 in 2028 — meaning approximately 31.8 percent of those institutions, or 12,416, are at risk of shutting down over the next four years.

The number of married young adults has fallen to a record low amid the growing demographic disaster in Germany, the country’s official statistician has revealed.

In a report on the lifestyles of 15 to 24-year-olds in Germany, government statistical office Destatis disclosed on Monday that the number of married people in that age group fell to its lowest level since records began after German reunification in 1991.

The dataset showed that by the end of 2021, just 136,000 people between the ages of 15-24 were married, compared to ten years prior when over 246,500 people were either married or in a civil partnership. The decline is more dramatic compared to three decades ago, when over 990,000 in the age group were married, representing 9.6 per cent of the group compared to 1.6 per cent today.

The number of young parents has also been on the decline in Germany, with just 2.4 per cent (197,000) of 15-24 year-olds being recorded as having at least one child last year. In comparison, 3.7 per cent of the group (327,000) were recorded as being parents in 2011, meaning there has been nearly a 40 per cent decline in just ten years.

In May, the statistician reported that the average age of first-time mothers has climbed to over 30 years old, an increase of over one year compared to a decade ago and a troubling sign for population stability, as women over the age of 30 are less likely to have more children.

The trend of women forgoing childbirth until later in life has not only impacted Germany, with Eurostat reporting earlier this year that the age for women to have their first child rose to an average of 29.5 years old across the European Union.

The Western demographic crisis has also hit the United Kingdom, with the Office for National Statistics reporting that as of 2020, the majority of women remained childless by the age of 30 — the first time in the history of the nation that occurred. In the same year, the country also saw its lowest pregnancy rate in 17 years.

The advertising policy in the UK is aimed at eliminating racial stereotyping and increasing diversity. The national advertising watchdog states in its guidelines that “advertisers should avoid depicting racial stereotypes in their advertising and should not include anything which may cause offence on the grounds of race”.

According to a 2018 study of over 2,000 ads from the top 50 ad spenders by Lloyd Banking Group, the share of BAME characters in adverts doubled in 2015-2018 from 12 to 25 percent – while this group accounts for nearly 14 percent of the population. The study also points out, however, that 3 in 5 ads feature all or a majority of white people (the share of all-white ads is not specified).

According to another study by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, ethnic diversity within UK ad agencies is at its “highest recorded level”.

Researchers in Sweden have listed the top four things people can do to reduce their carbon footprint.

The report in the journal Environmental Research Letters described a “missed opportunity” to let people know the most effective steps they can take to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, a primary driver of global warming.

“We found there are four actions that could result in substantial decreases in an individual’s carbon footprint: eating a plant-based diet, avoiding air travel, living car free and having smaller families,” said lead author Seth Wynes of Lund University in Sweden.

“For example, living car-free saves about 2.4 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year, while eating a plant-based diet saves 0.8 tons of CO2 equivalent a year.”

Avoiding airplane travel saves about 1.6 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per trip.

By far the biggest action was having one less child, which saves an average of 58.6 tonnes of CO2-equivalent emission reductions per year, the report said.

“A US family who chooses to have one fewer child would provide the same level of emissions reductions as 684 teenagers who choose to adopt comprehensive recycling for the rest of their lives,” it said.

I wonder how many carbon emissions we’d prevent by just hanging everybody stupid enough to believe in this man-made climate change crap. Rope can be reused too, so we can check the recycling box as well.

These four steps were identified from an analysis of 39 peer-reviewed papers, carbon calculators and government reports that calculate how individual lifestyle choices may reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

When researchers looked to see which anti-carbon actions were promoted in Canadian textbooks and government communications in the United States, Australia, Europe and Canada, they found a general focus on “incremental changes with much smaller potential to reduce emissions”.

So they did it only in White countries, all of which already have sub-replacement birth rates, catastrophic ones in many cases. This is just a cohencidence, I’m sure, not some plan to wipe out the White race.

None of the Canadian textbooks mentioned limiting family size as a way of reducing one’s carbon footprint.

Streamlining the message from schools and from governments could make major steps toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions beneath the levels needed to keep the planet under 2C of climate warming, researchers said.

“There are so many factor that affect the climate impact of personal choices, but bringing all these studies side-by-side gives us confidence we’ve identified actions that make a big difference,” said Wynes.

“Those of us who want to step forward on climate need to know how our actions can have the greatest possible impact.”

The best thing you could do for the environment would be to round up all the kikes and turn them into soap. Most Americans do not want to live beyond age 100, and a poll out Tuesday suggests many worry that anti-aging technologies may end up being a luxury for the rich.

The survey of more than 2,000 people by the Pew Research Center’s Religion and Public Life Project sought to probe the nation’s views on the prospect of living longer lives.

Already, aging adults account for a growing share of the US population. About 41 million Americans are 65 or older, making up 13 percent of the population, up from four percent in 1900.

By 2050, that number will rise to 20 percent, according to Census Bureau projections.

A majority of US adults (56 percent) said they would not “choose to undergo medical treatments to slow the aging process and live to be 120 or more,” said the Pew report. A total of 38 percent said they would.

With the average US life expectancy at 78.7 years, more than two thirds said they would like to live longer than that, somewhere between 79 and 100.

The median, or midpoint, for ideal lifespan was 90, or about 11 years longer than the current US average.
